FRIENDS Friends are a difficult thing for Daniel to come by. His inability to easily trust others leaves little chance that he will open up to others. However, he is willing to give a small bit of information about himself to gain someone's trust. He will slowly reveal more and more about himself as time goes on, provided that the person in question proves trustworthy enough. Eventually, Daniel will take someone drinking to gauge whether or not they can truly be trusted and, if so, will begin to consider them a friend. Oliver Wynters ENEMIES Contrary to becoming a friend, making an enemy of Daniel's is relatively easy. If you present yourself as an obstacle during a mission he will not hesitate to eliminate you. Crossing him in a business transaction is one of the most surefire ways of angering him. Another would be to take or cause harm to something (or someone) precious to him. Whatever the cause, Daniel is not one to allow any slight against him to go unpunished. Romance Romance is a tricky subject where Daniel is concerned. Again his overall lack of faith in others rarely renders him able see past his own suspicions. That is not to say that he hasn't had his share of wild flings and one-night stands. Some women seem to find the sense of danger Daniel exudes. That combined with his forceful personality draws certain women to his bedroom, if only for a short time. Still, should someone break through the shell of mistrust, they would find a very loving and faithful romantic partner. Clients Everyone need to make a living somehow, whether by wholesome means or otherwise. Daniel himself receives a stipend form the Hunter's Guild each month to help cover his living expenses; it's enough to get by on, but not for much else. To supplement his income, Daniel occasionally takes on mercenary work with contacts from his Guild days. While he actively avoids most of the morally questionable one (i.e. slave catching, senseless slaughter of innocents, etc.) but anything else is fair game so long as it doesn't compromise his sense of honor and loyalty. Maybe you're a politician looking to eliminate a rival. Want to wipe out a gang of killers? Need a magi friend rescued from a slaver? Worried about an assassination attempt and looking for extra protection? Daniel's willing to at least consider the request. Whether or not he accepts is a different story entirely. Maevia Inclemens Apprentices Daniel has returned to the Hunter's Guild with the intention of rearing the next generation of Hunters. His methods are rigorous for both the mind and body, but his goal is to ensure that only the strongest, smartest, and - most importantly - the most honorable are accepted. @orion |

I didn't think anyone ever would. ^^ Secondly, it does seem like these two could get along, at least if they have a drink or two together. I've been trying to think of how we might get them together, and have a couple vague ideas that we might be able to work with...?
Given Daniel's history with the less savory side of magi hunting, perhaps it's possible they had some form of past interactions? Theron could have been involved in helping him get ahold of Downers before he quit, especially if his travels took him as far as Dagos. If not... well, there goes that link, but no big deal.
Either way, if Daniel happens to need any sort of less-than-legal supplies (weapons, Downers, etc.) Theron should be able to hook him up. Could be something there.
And then there's the connection they share with Orion. One of them could seek the other out about... something involving him, maybe? I dunno. Seems more likely that it would be Daniel doing the seeking, if this is the route we go with, but maybe that's just me.
Would also love to hear whatever thoughts you have on the matter. ^^

Hell yeah I'm still interested in a thread between these two! Given his recent deal with Kupiec, I wouldn't be surprised if Daniel started falling back on some of his old contacts to gather the supplies that he needs. Depending on how deep in Theron was, I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them did business at some point. I also wouldn't be surprised if Daniel wanted to ask Theron about Orion to learn more about him, see if he's the sort that Daniel wants to remain a hunter or if he can be "saved". Theron Lorne |

Let's see... at the time Daniel was still doing Hunterly things, Theron would have just started out as a runner. The overlap before Daniel quit is about 3 years, I think. So while he wouldn't have had his own setup then, it's entirely possible that they could have had contact at some point. Otherwise, an older contact could point him in Theron's direction for something he wants to get his hands on, and they could have first contact that way.
And it might take a little convincing, but if he plays his cards right, he could definitely get Theron to talk about his brother, too.
