See, this question deserves a more nuanced reply than yes/no from me so here it goes (I'm very passionate about this particular subject). The answer though is No.
If you fear something is interfering or basically eclipsing other important things that are necessary in life, than you may need to cut it back and try to balance yourself out a little. But I don't think you should ever give up something if you still enjoy doing it and it is still within reason for you (economic & time considerations included). "For my own good" So you can be an adult? Personally, I have a very skeptical view of the concept of adult. I've met 'adults' who act like children and whom just have a dim outlook on life. So you know, my view can be summed up with this quote "Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional." There are things in life that you have to do as you grow older; but for me personally I am always going to be a child in heart as well as mind so consider me a half-child, half adult. I am (and you should be too) very wary of the terms "For your own good". (Apologies. Rant is over. I've pondered a question like this so many times in my own life.)

Yes. I can't recall a specific time but my family has always been big on branching out and trying new things so you naturally run the risk of having a bad meal. Sometimes it's just because I ordered wrong pfff.
Do you see yourself growing old with a ton of dogs/cats?

No; animals are nice and fun and lovable, and i heart them, but when you grow up in a house with a literal animal hoarder, it kinda makes you wanna step away from the fuzzy friends in your future. It's no fun living in a two-bedroom apartment with 5 cats and 2 big dogs.
Do you find yourself crying at stories often? Be they books or movies or videogames etc
