It was well past two in the morning and it had been a busy evening of hunting for Daniel. A client from a few weeks back had come to him once again with the same job offer as before. She called herself Lilian and was looking to eliminate a rival in whatever form of business she was in. It was a typical hit that the ex-hunter hadn’t even given a second thought at the time. His days of killing in cold blood were behind him and even Lilian’s accusations of her rival sacrificing small children in some ritual or another couldn’t sway him; it smacked of desperation to him. However, recent events had convinced him that there were some darker magics still roaming around in the world, which made the story a bit more believable; corpses walking around in broad daylight and an encounter with an entity of pure nightmare tended to do such things. So, when Lilian came around again asking him to take the job (no one else seemed to want it oddly enough), she found that he was more willing to accept the assignment. She looked ready to ask him about the change of heart, but he ignored her and left immediately. It didn’t take very long for him to find the target. He must have thought he was invincible or something, because he didn’t cover his tracks very well. That, or he was just an idiot. Either way, the target left a trail that even a two-year-old could follow. Even more convenient was the fact that the guy was already brandishing a dagger over an unconscious little girl’s heart, ready to plunge it in without much thought. He earned himself a boot to the head before he could complete the vile deed and he crumpled like a piece of paper. Daniel searched the man for his cellphone and eventually found a message (seriously, how hadn’t this guy been caught already?) that detailed how he might be able to get an edge over his competitors: a sacrifice to Kupiec, God of Commerce. “So you wanna kill kids for your own benefit, huh?” Daniel asked, the unconscious man. “Well then, how about we see what you think of your own medicine.” He used the phone to call in the girl’s location before tossing it aside and shouldering his quarry. Then, he made his way to the temple district, opened the door to Kupiec’s temple and sent a prayer up to the god politely requesting his presence. After that, he sat down on his prey’s chest with a gun draw just in case he decided to stir and settled in for a wait. Kupiec

Nothing would occur for a short while. Perhaps a collection of thirty seconds. Nothing too terribly lengthy or elaborate. The silence of the empty temple would remain undisturbed other than the mortal's own breathing ... ... ... The scent would arrive first. As if traveling upon a crisp oasis wind it would, sending Daniel's hair and clothing a flutter a mere moment before settling again. An almost immediate shift would fill the space with the heavy aroma of exotic spices. The sensation was so powerful in its poignancy most mortals' eyes would watere. Saffron, Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, Cloves.
The humanoid figure would step forward from the shadowy black nothingness from across the large empty temple. The sound of those exquisite tassled dress shoes sounding from every step would be enough to alert one to where He had appeared. The figure that seemed to appear from nothing walked forward towards the one that had called upon His name. If one were to squint they would notice a transformation occur with the being's facial features. What was literally one with no face, an ominous sight for most, shifted into a nose, eye sockets, vivid eyes, and lips. The change occurred so swiftly, so suddenly, if one was not observant they may have missed it all together.
So now it was a rather handsome male being that appeared to be approaching. With darker skin that seemed to originate from the deserted lands of Suraja the man comfortably slipped His hands into His suit jacket's pockets. Somehow a casual act while still being poised. Posture perfect from His smooth black hair down to His black tasseled dress shoes. Kupiec would offer a polite smile as He made eye contact with those strange eyes of His. "Good afternoon." The Deity spoke, the voice deep with a hint of a foreign accent. Though which one specifically couldn't quite be distinguished. "What brings you into my temple and asking for my presence, mortal?"

Daniel waited patiently for his request for an audience to be answered—or ignored completely—for what felt like an extremely short period of time. He’d compulsively tried to reach into his coat pocket in search of his cigarettes, but the strange combination of scents blowing in on the breeze demanded his full attention. His nose wrinkled slightly and his eyes watered due to the sheer potency of the aroma in conjunction with his enhanced olfactory sense. He fought back the sensation and did his best to keep a straight, polite face. His recent experience with another deity was enough to partially shield him from the feeling of awe that accompanied such a being. Still, it wasn’t nearly enough to prevent him from showing the proper respect his esteemed guest was due. The ex-Hunter ceased in his search and stood, sketching a quick bow as the god approached him. What little he knew of Kupiec was enough to the him that He appreciated observances of etiquette and protocol. As a former Hunter, there’d been some small measure of both in his daily life. Hopefully there would be little difference in dealing with Him. A misstep here would likely lead to his death. “Afternoon, my Lord,” Daniel greeted, settling on the term for want of a better one. He rose slowly and looked the being in eyes that he was almost positive hadn’t been there before. “If you’ll allow me to introduce myself, my name is Daniel Caim and I’ve come looking to make a deal.” He wasn’t normally a man known for eloquence in his speech, but he could make an exception in this case. Daniel indicated the unconscious man at his feet. “I was contracted to eliminate this man by one of his rivals. I tracked him down and found him in the midst of some sort of ritual he thought would summon you.” Daniel smiled. “I figured that I might be able to kill two birds with one stone. I’d like to offer him up as a sign of good faith between us. The first of many offerings I hope.” Kupiec

The God appeared pleased by the mortal's bowing. "I will allow this." The deity would listen with a patience that was very similar to the fermentation of wine. It was an aged grace that drifted upon the air along with the aromas. At the mention of a deal Kupiec would take another step forward, folding his hands behind his back. "Oh?" The God would grin wider.
As the man continued, even offering a smile to him, Ku would nod occasionally as was polite. Etiquette after all was highly favored. However, the deity would blink twice once the mortal had finished. "You knew of another mortal wished to deal with me ... and stopped them from doing so?" The God would look sideways to the unconcsious man with the slightest of raised brows. "Where as I am appreciative of your willingness to sacrifice to me, mortal." Glancing back the deity would meet the gaze with those strange eyes.
"From where I stand you just disrupted a business transaction that could have also been beneficial to me." Leaning forward from his taller height the God would tilt his head to the side gently. "I suppose I am confused as to your logic. Are you offering me a greater deal than the other?"

Daniel resisted the urge to curse loudly several times. While He did seem pleased with the prospect of making a deal, the god before him didn’t appear at all happy with the fact that Daniel interrupted his target while he was in the middle of making a deal with Him. The ex-Hunter realized that he should’ve kept his mouth shut about that last bit and just made the deal in the first place. Now, he was going to need a better deal than what his target would’ve offered Kupiec in the first place. Why it mattered to Him was beyond the man. Even if Daniel had allowed the deal to be struck it wouldn’t have mattered. The steady flow of sacrifices would’ve ended eventually due to the complete sloppiness by which the man would be obtaining his offerings. Daniel blinked once. A steady flow of offerings? That might be something his most esteemed guest would be interested in. “I’ll have to apologize for that, my Lord,” he offered. “Yeah, he wanted to offer you something. Might have kept it up too. The only thing is that his offering would’ve stopped eventually. He was sloppy and would’ve been caught because of it. “I, on the other hand, am not sloppy. I’ve never lost my prey and I’m almost always on the trail of some criminal or another. Rapists, murders, thing like that; people that no one would miss. I’d gladly offer them to you in exchange for your favor as well as some information that I may need.” He cast a brief glance over his shoulder. “And unlike that idiot over there, I won’t be getting caught as easily. After all, a hunter is always the hardest to catch, right?” ((OOC Notes: Nail biting intensifies.) Kupiec

The deity of commerce was known for His patience. Stocks rising and lowering. Differing markets peeking before plummeting again. Currency rates following the same wavey half-hazard path. Patience was a small price to pay when the actual pay out doubled or tripled your original investment. This was true for both finances and mortals. So, yes, the God listened quietly. There would only be the faintest hint within the mortal's eyes that he was panicking. Only the smallest of flickers that came from centuries of dealing with the mortal kind.
It wouldn't be until the man finished his thoughts in its entirety. To double check that he was done Kupiec would wait a short while. Listening to the breathing pattern of the lesser. Didn't seem like he had anything else to add. "I see." Blink. Blink. The Surajan appearing being straightened His posture once again, maintaining eye contact all the while. "Hm ... Yes, I can smell Her on you. Safe to assume you know a bit about hunting, ay?" The smile grew a touch. "Relax. You recognize your short coming with our first meeting and I'm a forgiving sort when the mortal has recognized their own flaws. It's when you lot choose to remain stubborn even after being corrected that it ... irks me." The smile would grow yet again. This time it would border the parameters of what could be considered a normal range. Perhaps be considered disturbingly demonic in appearance. "So don't make a habit of interrupting dealings of mine in the future. Understand?"
The Deity would relieve the other of His strange stare by turning His gaze to the unconscious sort on the floor. But would only do so after hearing a verbal confirmation that the mortal in fact understood. "And I am aware of this soul's stupidity. It's a repetitive sort whom never learns its lesson from a past life. We've made multiple dealings over the span of those lives." The God would tap a single tassled shoe in soft thought.
"From my standpoint I could in theory utilize my superiority and free this mortal from your gun's range until he makes his deal and I obtain what is mine from its wording. However, I am taking into account that instead of simply killing this one even though you were paid to do so, you thought of Me." Tap ... Tap ... Tap ... Tap ... "I am rarely ever called upon simply to be given a sacrifice." Kupiec turned His knowing gaze that shifted in hues such as the desert's sands under a sunset. Eye to eye once again, Him tilting His chin ever so slightly so as to accomplish so from His superior height. "What is it you wish from Me? Being equiped with this knowledge I will be better to assess the proper manner in which to procceed."

Daniel visibly relaxed when the deity before him forgave him for interrupting his target’s sacrifice. Although it came with a warning, Daniel was grateful that He was in a forgiving mood. The fact that he’d seen fit to do so at all was (hopefully) a good sign. Now, he just needed to continue forward and hope that his luck held. “Of course, my Lord, and thank you,” Daniel said as he bowed once again. “I’m not arrogant enough not to admit my own mistakes, and I’ve made a hell of a lot of them.” He rose and was treated to a disturbingly wide smile from Kupiec. It caught him off guard for a moment before he fully regained his composure. He kept his face set in a strong mask that showed the grit he’d earned over the years. Dealing with psychopath’s and monsters for much of his adult life went a long way towards preparing him to face the unnatural sight of His smile. “Doesn’t really surprise me hearin’ he was as much an idiot in his past lives,” Daniel added when the deity commented on his quarry. His heartrate quickened slightly when His gaze was redirected towards him. Steady breathing saw it return to its proper rhythm again before He spoke again. To be fair, he’d only been tasked with eliminating the man and he was still accomplishing that task, all be it in a less than traditional fashion. “Put simply, my Lord,” Daniel began. “I want to save the Hunter’s Guild from itself. They’ve fallen farther and farther, and it makes me sick. There used to be honor in the hunt, but now it’s just a bunch of bloodthirsty kids. I want to bring them back, but I teach them that there’s no meaning in senseless slaughter. That’ll mean convincin’ the younger ones to stop killin’ for sport and start taking down the real problems.” Daniel squared his shoulders. “I need to know what turned them into what they are, so I can convince them to be better. And I need enough power to stop the ones that I can’t from doing whatever they want.” Kupiec

The God didn't bother hiding his genuine surprise at the request. Eyebrows rose together in unison at the reasoning. Save the Hunter's Guild from itself. That was a new one. The mortal continued walking the Deity through his logic. Senseless slaughter. To cease the killing for sport and refining the Guild to only bring those that participated in terrorism to some form of justice. Most likely a bullet to the skull.
“I need to know what turned them into what they are .... I need enough power to stop the ones that I can’t from doing whatever they want."
.... The smile that formed upon Kupiec's facial features was not a formidable one. Nor was it one dripping in humor at such an idea. No. This was a smile that formulated with the turning of cogs within the mind. Pieces of a puzzle being clicked together to showcase a bigger picture. "Do you... know what you're asking for?" Ku eventually would ask in response. "Truly what you're asking for? I can tell you right now why your Guild has dropped into their genocidal patterns. It isn't a shocking phenomena. At least it shouldn't be to you, one who has been blessed by Her."
Ku would take a step to the side, seeming to wish to walk around the mortal in a passive manner. Eyeing him up so to speak. "What you're asking for is to fuck with a Goddess, an easily made pissy Goddess, eventually leading Her to be angered by you if you become known to Her." Kupiec would state, walking behind the man to eventually place a hand upon his shoulder as he rounded back around to the front. "Now I can assist. And," The God chuckled amusedly to Himself at the very notion, "believe me, I am very willing to assist. But if you make silly mistakes you will have forced my hand to drop my protection of one who has become my property through a signature."
The Deity's eyes flickered, hidden reasonings curtained behind those strangely colored irises. "Do you understand? I am telling you now and very clearly so there's no crying if this comes to pass. I'm not going to sign unwavering protection to a soul that makes mistakes. I'm not in the mood to go to war with the Huntress." He would state bluntly, bringing his feet together as he stood in front of the mortal once again. He stared at the man for a short while. "If you want power to knock over the little card castle She has set up, I'm willing to assist you in that way. But if you are the one that falls instead of the castle due to your own misuse of my gifts, I'm not standing between you and that particular bitch."

Daniel watched the God closely, gauging the reaction He would give. He’d expected something along the lines of a scoff or a bout of manic laughter right before he was exposed to his former patron. Instead, he received a smile that was… thoughtful, perhaps? It certainly wasn’t near-demonic like the last one and Daniel could see the figurative gears positively churning behind it. The God was thinking one his request, and seemingly surprised by it too. “I know it sounds crazy,” Daniel agreed. “Hell, I’ve asked myself if I was stupid for even considering it. And I know that She’s the one behind it all. I served her blindly for most of my life.” He paused as Kupiec began to circle him, judging him. The hand coming to a rest on his shoulder nearly caused his heart to skip a beat as he glanced down at the appendage. This was the second time in a month that a higher being had physically touched him—a sensation that very few people in the world could claim to be true. The notion of himself being referred to as property was an irksome one, but he kept that detail hidden as best as he could as the Deity came back around to face him. “I understand clearly, my Lord,” Daniel confirmed. “I’ve already made peace with the fact that I’m a dead man if She ever finds out about this. It’s either a hunter kill-squad or the ol’ girl Herself.” He shrugged. “And if I’m stupid enough to make a mistake that gets me killed? Well, at least I’ll know I went down shootin’.” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. This was the critical moment, the second that would govern his path and set his fate; there would be no going back after this. His eyes opened a moment later. They were brimming with grim determination. “If it will get me what I need, I’ll gladly accept the terms. I won’t call on you for favors if the Huntress finds me out, and I won’t expect you to go to war with Her on my account. My mistakes are mine to deal with.” He offered his hand for the God to take if He was so inclined. ((OOC notes: nail biting intensifies)) Kupiec

Ku smiled.
He couldn't help it.
A rook that was willing to be sacrificed if the mortal made a foolish mistake without being avenged. What a lovely addition to His side of the board. "I am pleased to hear your honest words." The Deity would say before holding up a single finger and not the insulting one. The index finger straightened up to insinuate a holding on of a moment. "Now now, I'm a business man and I appreciate the motion but there's a formality that needs to be concluded before we shake hands." Ku would state as a rolled up parchment appeared in His hand after a lazy twirl of the fingers. "You will be getting quite a bit of assistance from Me so I wish to make sure I'm getting a fair deal from My end as well."
Holding the rolled up contract in His hand Kupiec would motion to the unconscious man once again. "A human sacrifice at least once a week I would not mind." The Deity would state with a wave, eyeing the mortal out of the corner of His strangely colored eyes. He was curious to see if the mortal would feel confident enought to haggle back with Him through this process. Always start high and allow the price to be negotiated. That was a basic even in this country, wasn't it? "However, there is also the fact that in your earlier ignorance you interrupted this mortal's dealing with Me as well."
"What was he going to offer Me?" Ku asked, once again, watching to see if He would tell the truth. The dealing process tended to be a quick introduction to how a mortal truly was and what could be expected of them. If the answer felt like a lie to Him Ku had no issues with forcing the mortal awake to ask the chap Himself. If the retired Hunter were to tell the truth Kupiec's free hand would begin to circle his index finger and thumb round and round in thought. "As I stated before, this soul tends to not be that efficient in what it sets off to do. The most I've obtained from a single dealing was five of what was promised. Though I'd say the average comes out to be arounnnnnd ... eh, 2.3."
Turning to face the mortal straight on once again, eye contact being met directly, Kupiec would blink twice. "I will accept that mortal as your first sacrifice to me as long as you also bring me two of what he promised me as well sometime through out the duration of our business together. That way I lose nothing in accepting your deal over his." Those eyes remained glued onto the other's pupils. Wishing to take note of any signifying that this would be bothersome to the man who appeared to have morals. Two children sacrifices. "I believe that is fair. Don't you?" Kupiec would ask, the contract remaining coiled within his hand until details were hashed out.

Daniel watched as the God summoned a roll of parchment to his hand with lazy twirl of his fingers. He listened intently as He explained His reasoning behind not immediately taking his hand. It was sound enough from a businessman’s point of view, and Daniel had gained some experience in that particular world, though there was quite a bit of emphasis to be placed on the word “some”. Thus, it came as no surprise when the Gods terms for his assistance were stated. One sacrifice a week was… reasonable. He could easily find some random fool that no one would miss for his sacrifice. Still, this was a business transaction in a way and he needed to make sure that he’d be able to deliver. “I get that you want to make sure you get what’s yours,” Daniel began. “But one human a week might be a little bit… steep.” He extracted his hand and used it to rub his chin thoughtfully as he paced. What would be sufficient to please the God? After something approaching a minute, a small light bulb flared to life in his head and his pacing ceased. “How ‘bout this? I tend to walk over a lot of bodies when I take on a big assignment. I’ll take jobs as a sweeper from a contact of mine and make sure that the body count is high in exchange for making my deadline once every month. Let’s say at least five or so when it’s time to pay up.” He looked to the God to try and gauge his reaction, but his eyes narrowed slightly when He asked what was prevented from falling into his possession. Something about it seemed fishy about the question. “He was offering a little girl. Why?” It didn’t take long for him to gain his answer, and he didn’t like it one bit. His hand began worrying at his chin again. Killing kids hadn’t ever bothered him before, but that was back in his less temperate days. Even then, he avoided it if only for the reason that they were worth more alive than dead. “Two kids, huh?” It was less than he’d sold into a life of slavery. “Sounds good; it’s a deal.” ((OOC Notes: By "sweeper" I mean hitman.)) هل يهمك لعقد صفقة؟
The God smiled with a glimmer of being pleasantly pleased by the mortal's idea. "I can be flexible on that front." Kupiec would nod, signifying the offered alternative would be acceptable. Patience was not a bother to such a God. Patience was more the equivalent of a fine wine. By being flexible in waiting the God was not just gaining three sacrifices a month but a possible five plus. He could understand to a lesser extent why mortals tended to not be patient, given that their lifespans had, well, an ending each life. But still, that brash and hurried lifestyle was never one he particularily fond of. Here was a good reason why. One of many an example I'm sure.
The scroll snapped audibly by the sheer force of its unrolling. "Deal." Kupiec would state with a reigned in smile. The mortal was willing to bring him two children. It was always a joy to watch mankind convince themselves that an action was inheritantly good. The journey logic traveled down was a winding one. I've done worse. What's one more? In the grand scope of things it's a small price to pay for the inherant benefit. Every single one wrapped loops around their mind until the convincing was completed. A manner of thought that they could live with, void of those pesky emotions such as dread and guilt.
"I will have you sign at the bottom on the dotted line." Kupiec stated as his free hand tucked into the inside of his suit jacket to pull out an expensive fountain pen. "And of course if you wish to read through it in its entirety you may. My lifespan has proven not to be anywhere near as short as a mortal's. I have the time and I am patient." Ku's smile would grow an inch, offering the document to the mortal if he wished to look it over. Both the pen and contract would be handed over as Kupiec would watch on. Watching those eyes of his travel back and forth, traveling down paragraph after paragraph.
The contract read as usual. The first paragraph was the same as any other dealing the God might have made. The safety clause. Once the first signature was written there could be no adding or subtracting to the document in any manner whatsoever. That was a lesson He had learned in the most extreme manner in His earlier years, those many many centuries ago. That clause would always be there until the end of time itself as far as He was concerned. Never again. Never again.
The rest would read as had been discussed. The personalized sections below would mostly include the following. Each month according to the mortal's understanding of calendars the human would sacrifice five plus mortals. Humans preferred. No more than one magi per sacrificing would be accepted due to their lessening numbers. The cyborg race would be accepted as well to assist in this man's reaching of the required tallies but the document would go on record stating that cyborgs would be required to be at least fifty percent human still. After all, they palleted poorly. The nanobots and other sorts of technology left a rather undesirable taste. To undergo the annoying process of finding what little meat there was to be rewarded with lackluster bitter metalic tastes? Humans were greatly preferred to say the least.
For the sake of clarifying a due date for the two children sacrifices the contract would have penned in a ten month time allowance. After that tenth month if there had not been two children offered up to Him at that point, the contract would be considered broken. Which led to the final section. Yes, it would go into detail that if the mortal screwed up that Ku's protection was not a guaranteed life jacket. However, there would be another section beneath that one that would specify that if the retired Hunter failed to keep up his end of the deal that the man's soul would then belong to Kupiec as payment for the inconvenience and lack of professionalism. The only exception that would be mentioned would be if the mortal underwent enough physical damage that he was physically incapable of performing the required tasks. Yes, it would be an easy soul win but best to be professional and fair in the face of such extremeties Ku had come to conclude of the years.
As for Kupiec's role in the contracts, the document specified that the God would take a sincere and personal interest in the mortal's activities referring to his Guild plans. There would be specifications that the man would be paid a sum of money each month to assist with the purchasing of weaponry and safe housing. Blessings would be bestowed to better empower the mortal to withstand the trials he may face. Ku would also be sure to introduce like minded individuals to this mortal to best assist in the process of possibly growing a core group of those that wished for the same result. Further assistance would also most likely be granted however only after a short time span of a week to allow the God to consider the best route to approach the circumstances.

Daniel nodded when his counter offer was deemed acceptable by the God. He could easily find someone that wanted to eliminate a rival of theirs, or even someone they just didn’t like. Humans were a violent bunch—himself not withstanding—and there would always be someone somewhere that wanted someone dead for some reason. The hand came away from his chin as the contract quite literally snapped open and was held out for him to take alongside a ridiculously expensive-looking pen. He respectfully took both and began scanning the contract for anything out of order. The first clause of the contract made some sense to him. It would protect him from the deal changing as well as prevent him from doing the same if he started having second thoughts. Seemed reasonable to him, but he couldn’t help but wonder what the story behind it was. The next paragraph explained the exact specifications of the agreement. Five or more humans each month with no more than one magi per month and cyborgs to be allowed only if they were at least fifty percent still human; it also added an allowance of ten months to procure the two human children. Again, it seemed reasonable. The last section rehashed the requirement to not screw up with the added clause that his soul would be forfeit if he failed to meet the demands unless he was slain or otherwise rendered incapable of carrying out the conditions of his contract. In exchange, he would be given a monthly stipend for equipment, blessings, and assistance in the form of outside help as well as further help from the God in the near future. It all met with his satisfaction and he signed the dotted line as instructed. For better or worse, he’d effectively signed away his soul in the most literal manner imaginable. “It’s done,” Daniel said as he handed the contract back to Kupiec. “I guess this is where we shake hands?” The question was followed by the extension of his arm to offer another handshake. Those strangely colored eyes watched the pen's every swoop and dotting of i's. It wasn't until the final motion was written upon the parchment that the God mused quietly to himself with a pleased hum. "Almost." Kupiec replied with a patient tone as he took the document back. Pocketing the expensive pen back within His inner suit jacket pocket to Deity would then carry on to place down His own signature in the manner He had always. Raising a thumb those pearly white teeth would sharpen just in time to bite down upon the pad of His thumb.
Blue blood would pool before placing the thumb onto the scroll. In a smooth motion the blood formulated itself accordingly to spell out the Deity's name in the Olden Tongue's traditional characters. As the final stroke was made the document would then roll itself back up into the God's hand where it would poof away with another casual twirl of a hand. By the time Kupiec would bring out the pocket square to dab at His thumb the God's teeth would have returned to the human norm, allowing a seemingly kind smile.
"Now we may." After dabbing away the remaining blood before the wound began to close itself the God would extend His own hand. The handshake would be firm but not overpowering. The Deity had learned approximately the correct amount of strength to utilize when dealing with mortals. How fragile they were. No broken bones were wished for in this matter. "Gentleman's handshake. I'm rather a fan of this custom."
"So, let's see what time it is on this side of the world ...." Kupiec rose one sleeve up to glance down to a watch befitting the God of Commerce. As the Deity concerned Himself with such things an arachnid limb would grow up from the void of the God's back. The black spider appendage would stretch across the room and would begin pulling the unconscious man's body over to the two. If Daniel were to watch this disturbing activity or show any physical showing of emotions, Ku wouldn't make note of it.
"Eh, it's a touch too early still." Kupiec would determine as He pulled His sleeve back down. "So this is what I'm going to suggest." He began as the limp body slid closer and closer to them. "Would you be available your first business meeting in, eh ... two and a half hours? A touch before Dawn in this region?" With that the God would smile with a gentle tilt of the head. "I like to tackle business as soon as all business partners are available and that is when she will be available." The body would slump back into the ground as the third arachnid limb dropped the unconscious man but a few feet from where they stood. "And could you do me the favor of killing this for me?"

“ YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT. Daniel watched as the God bit into His own flesh and sign the contract in his own unnaturally hued blood. He couldn’t tell exactly how He signed it, but it was obviously nothing resembling the common tongue. It was probably the Olden Language or something of that nature. It didn’t really matter all that much now; both parties involved had what they needed from one another. More importantly, the God had actually taken his offer for a handshake seriously; He’d even taken the time to dab away the blood before doing so.
“A handshake is a good way to measure someone,” Daniel agreed. He pulled his hand away almost in the same breath that the God did to gaze at his watch. He took a step to the side as the strange appendage sprang from Kupiec’s back. His eyes followed all the way to the man’s unconscious form and began dragging the lump of flesh towards the pair. More of the spindly legs appeared in short order as the He continued to speak—something about whether he would be able to meet with a partner of His in the next two and a half hours because it was “a touch too early” for it. He forced himself to focus on the words flowing from His mouth.
“That’ll be alright. It’ll give me a chance to catch some shuteye.” He blinked a few times following the next question. Why wouldn’t the Deity kill his own sacrifice? It was obvious that He had more than enough power to do so. Why the hesitation?
“No problem.” Daniel made to reach for one of his many firearms, but thought better of it. The specifics of the deal he’d struck only moments ago indicated that the presence of metal wouldn’t be appreciated in the least. Armed with that knowledge, Daniel made his way over to the man, wrapped his hand around his neck, and twisted with a wrenching motion. The snapping of bones echoed briefly in the cavernous silence before fading away entirely.
