Ability Purchased and Description: Regression II: Your memories are more detailed and can go back for up to three past lives. Details: Of the lives she's lived the consistent interaction and proximity to the weapon Garm have awoken memories long past. Inheriting the knowledge and wisdom of her previous lives. Each life had mastered their own craft just as she had.
The Politician (The Oldest): A manipulative magi who used illusions just like Rynth herself, but his primary focus was on the manipulation of others rather than his own appearance. Focusing on Empathy, Memory, and Telepathy to gain an edge in negotiations. After several shady dealings within his government he had been discovered for his actions and would die later in prison due to a prison riot.
The Heir: Born a human child fit to inherit a family heirloom, Garm. The young man focused on his physical abilities and training to be an effective enforcer to his government. A far more obedient child than his siblings he had often had to face against them in certain challenges for the right to be the head of the household. Unlike the Politician he was far more blunt in his intention and speech. Often times coming off as arrogant or condescending vocalizing his own thoughts.
The Innkeeper: A young woman who offered wayward travelers hearth and home. As a zero magi she not only offered comfort, but aided those that were ill on their travels. Her motherly nature often sought out to enlighten and teach the local children of her village. Mastering telekinesis to aid provide service to the guests of her inn. Often times amazing her guests with her mental prowess and service to them. Living quite a long and humble life even growing old enough to see her own grandchildren grow to adults.

Overall: Annika was a woman who truly lived by the motto “Live, Laugh, Love” to perhaps the most literal extent possible. She was a "larger than life" kind of woman that reveled in excitement and challenge, which often got her into trouble- probably the biggest being her involvement in hindering the underground Surajan slave trade when she was still alive. Though she took her work seriously, doom and gloom never seemed capable of clinging to her for very long. Very much the type to live in the present, she left behind her own fair share of wild parties and lovers in her wake.
However she had her own quieter and darker points as well. On a positive note, she was extremely devoted to her children once she had them. However with her type of work she often had to keep them in the dark about what she was doing. It was a dangerous game she was playing, and having family only gave her enemies more weaknesses to exploit. As such she could come off as emotionally withdrawn or unattached at times. Which could then give way to a terrifying unbridled rage should any of her loved ones actually come under fire from her actions. Because the danger was mainly due to her own fault, she often wrestled with guilt over exposing her children and those she cared for to horrible amounts of danger.
Biography Annika began her life in the poorest district in the city of Pentos with one sibling: Riette Zeki. Together with their father, they managed to just barely get by day to day. Even with their grim circumstances, Anika’s sister taught her to keep her chin up no matter how dire the situation might be. “Horrible things happen to everyone,” she once told her, “But it is up to you whether or not they get to drag you down.” And it was mainly based off of those words that Anika became the kind of woman she did: one who always pressed her limits and lived each and every moment as if it were going to be her last. Despite their lowly beginning, darkness couldn’t seem to touch them.
However, there was one event that would shape her life forever. Being the poor family that they were, they weren’t exactly as much of a priority when it came to the officers or officials that watched over their city. Which meant it was surprisingly easy for Annika’s sister to be kidnapped by slave traffickers one day without so much as a word of concern from those who were originally meant to protect them. Saying Annika was devastated was beyond an understatement. But where there had once been sorrow grew a horrible desire for vengeance instead. Through training and gathering up fellow family victims of those who’d been wordlessly taken, a small force of angry men and women was formed called the Zincirsiz or “Chainless" with the sole goal in mind being the freedom of their loved ones and the destruction of the black market slave trade going on in their country. Annika ended up becoming one of the few leaders of the group, ruthlessly and mercilessly attacking the slavers and freeing any and all that she could. Though she never managed to save her sister, she vowed to prevent anyone else from having to deal with the same sort of loss.
Even with the seriousness of her mission, she still managed to keep her spirits up and smile more than anything. She ended up having three children- Riette, Hanru, and Shakir- that she loved more than anything in the world and protected fiercely, and married a man named Kasim who worked as her perfect foil. However, her enemies did eventually catch up to her one day. She died in the year 2483 from an ambush set by the slavers she so relentlessly hunted down.

Overall: Katla was a woman shaped in order to do one thing: protect her nation. Rigorously trained by the order of the Sál Veiði-maðrs, she was developed to become a hardened warrior capable of dealing with some of the worst threats Fokradiin had to face. As a result, she became a well-seasoned war machine able to think on the fly and react to situations quickly. It was a necessity in order to survive. However, it came at a cost. To most who did not know her well, Katla became cold and practically emotionless. Her job called for sharp calculation and a steadfast will allowing for no hesitation. There wasn’t much room for mistakes to be made, so she carried that knowledge and weight with her always.
However, her teammates knew better. Beneath the cold exterior was a woman truly dedicated to her people. One that felt just as much emotion as the next. When she wasn’t on the job, Katla enjoyed spending time with her family. Plus considering the fact most of her life was filled with insanity and action, all she really wanted was peace and quite. A n uneventful night with her friends and family was more enjoyable to her than anything else. Then she would laugh and smile and feel at ease. Because these were the people she was fighting to protect, and damn if she wasn’t going to give her all for them. Biography.
Katla’s life started within the capital city of Hjall with 3 siblings: Reinn, Brand, and Arnora. Born as the second eldest, all the Volkov children were immediately thrown into their combat training the moment they started schooling. From a very young age Katla was taught the importance of loyalty to her nation and her people. While her siblings also had this steadfast patriotism instilled within them, they did not really seek out anything past the basic training all Fokradiin children got. They went on to live their lives and get normal civilian level jobs. Not so with Katla. Inspired by some of the military heroes she read about growing up, Katla was determined to serve her nation with the exact same level of enthusiasm and vigor as those that served before her. Her goal? To join the order of the Sál Veiði-maðrs; an ancient order of specialized warriors dedicated to quelling attacking Spirits coming out of the harshness of Fokradiin’s wilds. It had been formed in the wake of the Great War as a branch of followers of the Goddess Kalidas. Although unlike their Ethean counterparts, they remained solely focused on hunting vicious Spirits instead of magi. For years she trained, putting her body through tremendous toil in order to be in peak performance and earn her place among the great hunters of the order. And one day, she finally did. The years of service she gave working with the Sál Veiði-maðrs were some of the most grueling years of her life. Even more so than her training. Spirits that came down from the northern mountains and tundras almost always arrived with howling roars and murderous intent. It was her duty to stop them at any cost. Her time spent fighting the Spirits hardened her and turned her cold, but she never lost sight of why she was doing this. In times of doubt she always turned back to her family, and her fighting spirit would return. Though Katla formed herself into an effective war machine against the Spirits, she always remained thankful for the few friends and family she had. Not to mention her teammates. They’d been through fire (literally) and hell together; the bonds forged from that were too hard to break. But for all the excitement her life brought, all she wanted was peace. Something she almost always found whenever she finally returned home to visit with her family. Though she never married, she became a very proud aunt to the children of her brothers and sister. Unfortunately, she would not live to the same age as her siblings. She died by the age of 47, fighting alongside her comrades against the foes she’d sworn to defeat. Overall: There used to be a phrase used to describe Koll: “That frozen old bastard.” Harsh, perhaps, but fitting. Koll was not the type to sugarcoat anything. He was not a man to beat around the bush or pull any punches. Koll was blunt. Koll was tough. Koll was there to make sure the younger generation of the Fokradiin military got whipped into shape so that it could better defend its people. He was a harsh and demanding teacher that constantly pushed those under him to be the very best they could be. If you couldn’t manage that, you might as well have left. Koll had no time for quitters or complainers who weren’t willing to give their all. As expected then, he didn’t have many in the “friend” department.
But as rough and brutal as Koll was, it came from a good place. The man had a heart that beat for his people, and a genuine concern for those he trained. He was hard on them so that, in the future, nothing could faze them. It wasn’t out of hatred, but a fatherly love he developed for those under his command. He was sending these kids out to fight. He'd rather rot before he’d send any out there unprepared. Besides, he wasn’t gruff all the time. Although the only ones to see his true soft side were his children. Despite his time-consuming duty, he was a doting and loving father who only tried his best to make sure his children could live a happy life. Biography.
Koll was born within the town of Napolovinu back before it became the sprawling little town it is now. Though they had been formed as a branch of Kalidas followers, they did not share the same sentiments that the Ethean hunters would get about magi.
After seeing these men and women in action, Koll had a fairly good idea of what he wanted to do. Though it was difficult, he managed to travel to the capital of Hjall and begin training in order to join their ranks. It was hard, make no mistake, but the man had been hardened already by the harsh winters Fokradiin had to offer. In time, he became a fully fledged member of the Sál Veiði-maðrs and served his nation as best as he could. Though nobody could say it was without its own cost. Koll built most of his friendships with those in the order. But that only meant it was all the harder when he had to bury them. Despite all odds Koll managed to live on past many of his former teammates. The experience made him jaded and gruff; harsh on the newer members so that he wouldn’t have to attend their funerals next. Eventually he went from an active member to a trainer. Too old to fight, he still had enough fire and experience in him to whip new Sál Veiði-maðrs and even members of Fokradiin’s main military into shape. Split between the two, Koll was just as hard and demanding of one as he was the other. He would prepare them for the fight, or die trying.
Though that wasn’t to say there weren’t high-points in his life. Somewhere along the line he managed to marry his fellow teammate Asleif and have two wonderful daughters: Svala and Kari. There wasn’t much else he loved more than his family. Which was why the loss of Asleif affected him greatly. She was slain by one of the great Spirits they so furiously battled, and on that day Koll carried the body of the fallen warrior back in lonely silence. Even with such a tragedy, he vowed to raise their children as best as he possibly could. In the end Koll passed away peacefully from old age, finally joining his beloved and leaving behind two fine Sál Veiði-maðrs to take their places.
