Out on patrol, Umbrage stood on the roof tops on look out. The falls weren't too bad as she was chose to remain on the buildings with two stories. Propulsions Should make it easier... Thinking on this city she remembers fondly exploring the strip with her sister for the first time. It was areas she was familiar with, but the alloy encaing her body was rather fragile compared to her original it could take a few shots but not many. If a Magi did oppose her she has to end the fight as quickly as possible.
Thinking on it now she wondered who or If she was assigned to work with someone else at the moment. Either way whoever they were didn't speak through comms and haven't arrived yet. "This job is so boring... At least I'm getting paid still..." She has collected two of her weapons... Her usually oversized axe and some throwing knives. Well a bunch... Alexandria have her a whole bag full.
She gave it a whirl throwing three of the knives at the door. Hoping to land her target. The new subsystem was still trying to boot up but hopefully she could try to use the knives without them. Besides even if she couldn't she could just stab people with the knives it wouldn't be too hard. Now all she had to do was find a Magi to hunt. If she could get a capture then one of those runic weapons would be within her grasp.

Something is going down
Umbrage wasn’t the only victim of boredom, in fact boredom is Malignant. Peace strived in Felici for too long and for the past forty years that its government issued and passed the act of relocation for magi, Hunters and Government assets, the Cyborgs, must remain vigilant.
It was inevitable that rebellion and terrorism would break out and take to the streets, challenging the strength and power of authority and law, so far that haven’t happened yet.
It was uncertain whether he was aware of the assignment or not but a gut feeling told him to be here and as a matter of fact, he forgotten why he went to Dagos in the first place. He came to a restaurant where he’d order a good rice meal with water and coffee. Today was just another regular day for Culan it seems or at least that’s what he thinks. There has been nothing going on in Felici for days, weeks even. As his meal arrives, Culan hesitated to pick up the spoon and fork; he was thinking whether or not he’ll find the answers he’s looking for here in Felici. The incident that took place years ago when Magi broke out of the relocation camps bothered him, were the Government telling the truth or was it covered up to avoid panic or maybe it was some kind of scandal? Nobody was given details regarding that day. He needs to find out about this as soon as possible and the more time he takes, the harder it is to unveil the truth behind it all.
In general it was thought a Fire mage started it all because they have enough, living in the relocation camps, the camps were thought to be a wonderful place but there were rumors of it ever having been a lie all along and instead was something similar to a concentration camp.
Culan shook his head and proceeded to enjoy his meal but just when he took the first spoonful, his phone rings. It was an untraceable number and the device couldn’t identify the signal. Culan decided to answer it anyways.
“Yoh….may I ask who’s calling?” “…. Oh its you, stop calling me. “ “Yeah I am doing fine for now, I’ll be careful nobody is here other than me.” “Yes I understand…”
He ended the call and resumed to his rituals.

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]casually slips my poor magi into a thread with two hunters [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see There was a very slim chance that Fiamma would ever come to like visiting the cities— in any way, shape, or form —but sometimes such a thing as necessity struck. On most occasions it would be a need for supplies that brought her out from the Arecia Wood and this time the fire magi had been (in a rarer turn of events) visiting a friend. Magi who could tough it out in the city, she'd never understand how they managed dealing with the environment day after day.
The visit did leave her in a better mood, though. Now only if it wasn't so damn hot out today. Everyone else Fiamma saw seemed perfectly comfortable in t-shirts and lighter wear, but the problem was that, when out in the public eye like this, she found it necessary to wear long sleeves and a hood if she wanted to keep from flaunting her magi heritage to the world. That made the sun's beating warmth a whole lot less pleasant. Fiamma would always be proud of who she was (as well as the traits that marked her as such) but it really sucked to have to cover up your hands and face.
The fire magi stuck it out as she picked her way through the noise of the shopping district on her way towards the train station until the crowds began to thin and Fiamma began to feel like she was baking. ...sigh. There were a lot less people around to see now and she could handle herself, so why not take a break to breathe? That was the logic marching through Fiamma's mind, anyway, when she ducked in close to a nearby building and pushed her hood back, ultimately just taking the whole jacket off. A heavy sigh wound its way out of her lungs as she leaned against the cool bricks and lifted one hand to scratch at the base of her horns. Just a short break, she'd be back on her way in a few minutes. Just what did they want with her patrolling this area anyways... Part of the job was to ensure public opinion stayed positive of the hunters... A place like this made it much harder... But she started supposing that was why she had started training with these knives. Small sleek and easily capable of precise work.
The canesword she left at home was forged for duels and disarming an opponent. Not her personal style with either full speed or full strength. Once her playlist of music stopped playing she noticed a rather lonesome hooded figure... Tracing her with her eyes she hops between the rooftops to watch the individual carefully. Her propulsions easily kept her jumps up in the air long enough for these sorts of jobs. Strange time to be wearing a hood... Especially in this heat. Looking down upon her target from above she could see them undress their outer layer of clothing. Barely making out some noticeable animal like features. Looks like she found a target.
Umbrage picked up her axe and ensured her overcoat covered most of her limbs. Looking down she drops the axe upon the exit leading to the shopping strip. With a loud crash it connects with the dumpster and the opposing wall. Forming a make shift barrier as umbrage jumps down activating her propulsions to keep the stop reaching speeds that could damage her skeleton. Looking to the magi as the Hunter positioned herself in front of her axe.
Might as well keep Collateral damage to a minimum. "Hey... I don't suppose you would mind just coming with me quietly. My boss has been getting on my back about being a bit cocky and right now I think I'd like to capture my first live magi..." she slowly approached her but only now noticed that some bus boy had opened the door to take out the trash... If the girl made a run for it Umbrage would throw a couple knives at her legs.

A good meal was had; he walked out leaving the tip and roamed around the city of Dagos. The place looks like an ideal location to hang out and goof off; heck he should invite his buddies here once in a while. Though he didn’t see the hooded girl earlier he did see Umbrage if he’s not mistaken and that’s when he remembered. He was here because he’s currently on a job patrolling the streets for any magi. Heck Magi walking in Dagos during the daylight? There have been more of them in the night rather during the day but what’s the rush?
Oh right, Umbrage must have spotted one, her clairvoyance isn’t human.
Perhaps Culan should follow her? Or perhaps later, he wasn’t so desperate to hunt Magi just yet. The weather was God damn hot but of course that wouldn’t hinder Umbrage in anyway. Heck there’s no way her target would come out of that alley now that Umbrage has it sealed and there doesn’t seem to be any nearby passages, she wanted this hunt all to herself.
Culan couldn’t help but shrug it off and walked left and then left again, stopping at the bustop that would lead him off into the red light district.
“Another patrol duty and with Unit U12BR? Well it’s just the usual chore.” Culan said to the Missions coordinator.
“Culan I think you will have to treat this patrol mission a bit more different when you’re with Umbrage.” Said the coordinator.
“Oh? And why is that may I ask?” Culan drew the phone and starts reading the message he received.
“Well as you know unit U12BR is designed for combat and not for hunts. Though there isn’t much difference between, the location is in Dagos a populated area. I’m pretty sure her style of hunting may result in collateral damage, can you at least keep an eye on her?” Culan was texting on his phone to his runic classmates.
“umm.. sure I guess?” He replied, his attention was more on the text on his phone than listening to the Mission coordinator.
“Cause whatever damage she makes during this patrol, it will be deducted from both your payrolls.” Culan was taking the elevator and when it closed and was about to go down, the coordinator’s words finally startled him.
“Say what!?”
At last he realized the gravity of his mistake letting Umbrage go off on her own and if she doesn’t catch her target considering her strategies would fail, she’d burst out in anger and use drastic measures and force.
“….. oh shit…” He had to look for Umbrage right now. He reached for his communicator and walked back towards the alley Umbrage has entered, he had to walk away from the bustop and contact her immediately.
“Unit U12BR, this is Ulster, what’s your status over?” He sounded so concerned but that was because he allowed Umbrage to hunt on her own, if a few of her attempts were to fail she’d blow a gasket. She’s damn easy to anger what more reckless.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit!”

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]notes [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see Now that felt better. The shade of the building itself was a godsend and Fiamma's skin prickled with relief where it had been freed from suffocating under her jacket. The breeze was warmer than she would have liked but it still did wonders to cool her down now that she could actually feel it. That was another reason the fire magi really wasn't fond of cities— no trees to sit under.
The relief was, however, fated to be tragically short lived. She could have sworn that she'd only had her magi features bared for a minute or less before there was a crash of noise announcing an object falling from the roof. A girl followed close behind it (the object now discernible as a battle axe) and Fiamma's entire frame tensed up at once when it became clear that she was being boxed into the alley behind her. ...seriously? She couldn't be blessed with even five minutes of reprieve. Figures. This was definitely not the time for lamenting her fortune in life, though, so the fire magi's slit pupils fell upon the new arrival with crackling intensity. Her fingers spread, claws flexing, and she curled her lip to bare pointed teeth in a soundless snarl of warning. She looked— for the best comparison —like a cornered animal.
❝Sorry for not being eager to rot in a jail cell or be picked apart— but no. Tell your boss he can go fuck himself with a rusty pole.❞ Maaaaybe she didn't really have time to waste on snarking, either, but the vicious words had already flown off her tongue. Three things then happened roughly at once. A door creaked as a boy opened it to take some trash into the alley, adrenaline fired into life in her blood, and Fiamma moved to make her escape.
Attempting to run past this girl and her axe would be a mad dash at best (risking a whole host of injuries before she could even try to squeeze by) and so Fiamma went with a quite different approach. She sprang forwards in a jump and then her magic roared into being, propelling her up high enough to sail over the person in her path. Wind whistled by the magi's ears as she went and— at a point just above her opponent— she drew her trusty hunk of flint from her pocket, ripped the claws of her free hand across it, and there was FIRE. It bloomed like a bright red flower under Fiamma's hands and with another snarl she sent it barreling down towards the girl below her with no hesitance to her motions. Either it would serve as a distraction, or it would torch her to sad, blackened bits. Fiamma was okay with either outcome.
She didn't pause for even a moment to see what the outcome of her attack had been, choosing to shift into a dead sprint down the street as soon as her feet were back on the ground. Fuck Hunters. Just— honestly. Fiamma hated to run like some coward with her metaphorical tail between her legs, but in this city? She wasn't stupid enough to think that (even if she won a fight with this first girl) there weren't other Hunters around who could be summoned right to her if she stopped and gave them time to get the message. She was going to make a beeline right for the city limits. Well another strong reply from a soon to be dead magi. She sighed as the girl started charging her. Grabbing her axe right behind her. Preparing for a swing until the girl popped up into the air. Farther up than she had anticipated. Damn that was a surprise... The flame attack almost caught her off guard. Her eyes catching the initial spark that grew an entire wall of flame. "Oh shit!" she picked up her axe twirling it in a helicopter motion over her head to disperse a much of the flames as she could.
Her enhanced strength helped to make improbable maneuvers with her axe. No human could pull this off without being a world weight lifter. As soon as the flames dispersed she heard the call of her partner. "Oh... Uh problem... Encountered a fire magi and she ran into a public filled area." Jus great looks like there's gonna be a whole lot of explosions in this chase... And dullahan will prob a my blame her...Damn.
Grabbing her axe in one hand she follows the magi. "I'm in pursuit right now! The target it moving across the strip!" If there weren't so many people in the way umbrage would likely have swung at the magi already. Using her propulsion in quick and short burst to aid her in her pursuit. Attempting to anticipate her movements, Umbrage throws two knives. The first directly at her target. Pausing to throw the second one to throw it at whever the girl moves to.

Culan needed to hurry and catch up with Umbrage or she’ll do something incredibly stupid. He ran back towards the alley only to find them gone and what he saw was umbrage before disappearing to the next corner. Now with Culan’s heightened sense of hearing, he’d known exactly where Umbrage is running towards since Umbrage is the only one making metallic fast paced steps. He had to dive go in after her, normally he’d take another route but he may lose sight of Umbrage or the target no matter how fast he goes as his sense of audition has its own limits.
The Fire magi would have been hard to identify among the footsteps of the crowd but one thing for sure, her sharp breathes would probably be the thing Culan needs to hear. He knows where the target is and where they are going but he’s more concerned about what Umbrage is about to do.
He’s starting to regret this assignment, if he knew this from the beginning, he wouldn’t have accepted this job, but then again it would be rude to turn down a job with umbrage assigned to be his partner.
“Make way, people potential disaster incoming, trying to save Dagos and my paycheck!”
He can keep up with them and the fact that Culan was a forest hunter helped a whole lot in his situation. He has to catch the Fire magi quickly before Umbrage does serious damage. After a few moments of running through the crowds, he finally knows where the target could be headed and if his auditory sense has not failed him, he would be able to cut her off right…. There!
He stood on four ways with his feet on the ground and his hands ready to grab them but to his surprise….
The target was behind Culan and had passed him going off to another direction.
…… what.
Culan realized that he made an error and decided to follow her path. He lost sight of Umbrage and was beginning to wonder where she is right now, course he didn’t know Umbrage was right behind him just yet as he’s focused on hearing and memorizing the target’s breathing pattern than getting a sense of the footsteps which Umbrage was far behind.
Course Umbrage would eventually caught up to him since she’s not human, Culan was relieved when he found Umbrage was running next to him, to his surprise there was a cart in front of him and jumped over it but tripped and slid into a vendor’s stand, faceplanted.
He was off his game; he was worried that the target may force Umbrage’s hand. Though Umbrage had gone ahead off him with the chase, Culan had to stand up immediately and apologize to the vendor and left in a hurry.
He was seriously thinking about this paycheck for today’s patrol mission.

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]notes [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see Keep moving, keep moving. She just had to get as far away as possible as fast as possible, and then maybe she could get out of this with all her limbs intact. Maybe. Fiamma just had to pray to any gods who cared to listen that she was lucky enough to have that outcome.
This environment was both a blessing and a curse for the endeavor, since the crowding plus streets closed in by buildings worked both for and against her. Pros? There was plenty of shelter for the fire magi to duck and weave around as she went on her way (some of that shelter happened to be innocent people, but what could you do) which made it more difficult for an attack to land from behind. Cons? That same crowding was making it a bitch to get anywhere fast. Fiamma excelled at sprinting short distances— while endurance often failed her —but she was being given little room to pick up speed.
A voice rang out behind her, shouting about something that Fiamma couldn't discern, and she swore under her breath when she realized that it was the voice of the Hunter she'd tried torching. Evidently the attack had only slowed her down a bit. On the upside, all of the commotion was causing people to take notice of the threat and humans scattered out of Fiamma's path with various cries of alarm. The magi cast another glance behind her just as a pair of knives went whizzing towards her head.
The first was deflected off of Fiamma's claws as she jerked up a hand to protect herself and the second sliced a long cut down her forearm in its passing. Okay, ow. Now this would have made wearing a jacket useful— good for a little protection against blades —however she'd left the article behind in the alley when she made her escape. Fiamma grit her teeth angrily in the next moment and there was a sharp snick as she flicked her thumbnail over the flint again; fire bloomed into being once more and rolled into the palm of her hand. She snarled again before hurling this fireball towards the Hunter chasing her down. First one, then two more in quick succession.
...was that another Hunter? Someone, a man, had fallen into step with the first girl in the time that Fiamma had been looking behind her, though she didn't keep staring any longer to see him fall. Too busy running. There was a turn up ahead and she took it as sharply as possible, seeking to flee towards the residential districts where she might be able to lose them among more complicated streets. Charging through the crowd as Umbrage yelled for people to clear the way she could easily see the incoming fire ball. Swinging her axe the huge thing to remove it from her path to see another ball of fire. Not taking the chance to deflect this hit she spun her axe once more with the assistance of her propulsions into the ground moments before the fireball could reach her. Jumping up with the axe acting moving in a lever motion to anticipate any other strikes. Seeing the third fireba hit the axe as she was up in the air holding onto the handle. Suddenly hearing a snap as the shaft of the she's grip melts from the repeated hits from the fire... Damn it that was her favorite weapon. With little other choice as she lands on the ground close to Culan she abandons her old weapon to pursue the chase further. Looking as the hunter, Culan blundered into a market stand during a chase...pitiful. Passing right by him she says "There may be some fire damage a bit of a ways back!" she chuckles a bit as she knew it wouldn't be taken out of her pay. Noticing now just how obscure the vision of the mage became. Umbrage had to act quick. Leaping onto an oncoming cart to use as a spring board to leap into the air. Using the propulsions to push herself toward a wall. As the alignment of the thrust reangles itself to give her the means to run along the wall. Spotting her target she leaps from the wall readjusting her propulsions to make the leap longer. As she gets her target within her sight she starts throwing several knives in succession. Upon landing whether she had landed her marks or not. The Android had intended to chase the girl down until captured or till she couldn't move any more. @paracelsus Fiamma Maritz

"tch... crap." Culan slowly rose up from the floor and dusted himself off. He exhaled and bowed to the vendor in apology.
At least the stand wasn't ruined, he could have paid for damaging a man's business. He rubbed his head while trying to make sense of what happened just now. Umbrage was chasing who she suspected to be a Magi on the streets and if they aren't a Magi and was just a mere human then this could be a serious flaw. Then again, machines don't make mistakes on their analysis of a subject so it has to be a magi.
Culan had yet to notice that Fiamma had used magic, they were out of sight and would have probably just be out of Culan's audition range by now but why would the target run in this direction? It didn't seem she was just trying to lose them here but if she headed that way then it could only mean one thing and if he's right.
The target could be heading for the residential districts that would have multiple alleyways, one can easily lose their pursuer that way but the problem is what Culan has been told by the receptionist.
Umbrage tends to lose her cool if things didn't go her way, he didn't mind if her focus of frustration would be displaced towards Culan, as long as she didn't use explosives or armor penetration bullets, hopefully nobody is gonna get hurt. Another problem is that the place tends to be dangerous for hunters if they try to hunt alone. Even if she had a squad of trained fighters with her, its considered a dangerous mission knowing that they are walking into a damn ambush.
... It seems now Culan must make sure Umbrage doesn't go in alone, who knows what will happen to her. Either she deals damage or she will get damaged herself. Culan decided to take his time and walk towards the residential district. There are neighboring areas in the district, the Black Market, an alternative way that circles back to the red light district, the slums and the train yard. Culan had to think about this carefully and put himself in place of the hunted target.
There's a possibility that there could be some kind of secret path out of the city and that would most likely be in the sewers. If the target wanted the attention of the hunter and would have lured them there then its most likely an ambush.
Or they could change their disguise, stop running and return to the red light district like nothing's happened. If his guess was right then it will be easy to find and catch up with umbrage and the target and if wrong then he'd lose the both of them. These were simply just a guess but Culan would really have no idea what the target umbrage is pursuing up to. Since he could hear faint sharp breathes then that means they have not reached the residential district yet.
He can still catch up.
Just as he exited the busy streets, he stopped for a moment and stared at a figure that just went into the residential district. "Why would a woman enter the residential district from the alleyways?" He thought but now is not the time to be distracted, he has to make sure Umbrage is ok.
"Come in Umbrage, what's your status over?"

She didn't feel the pain immediately, just a thunk of pressure against her right shoulder that pitched her forwards into stumbling through a step before the burn of damaged skin went firing along her nerve endings. A hit dead in the back. And then another lance of sensation from the knife slashing a shallow cut along the side of her neck— a few strands of bluish hair went with it. Fiamma was almost too startled to cry out (making a soft, wounded sound that was more out of surprise than pain) and she found her mind scrambling to wrap itself around the fact that she had a blade embedded in her shoulder. No time to think about it. No time to stop and pull it out. Just RUN.
If her luck her out then the fire magi wouldn't have to worry much about blood loss— since she hadn't torn it out and the blade was small —but the knowledge of what had just happened was sure as hell distracting. A pleasant visit to see a friend in the city and it had to end like this. Figures. Fiamma was fairly good at controlling her emotions in the heat of the moment, though, (something that came from regularly hunting for food out in the wilds) so she shoved the panic that reached its icy fingers for her heart away in favor of pressing on. She was around the turn now so she had a few seconds of cover until the Hunter followed, making haste towards the next turn that would veer away from the shopping district.
Should she climb up to the rooftops? Try to duck into a building? Launch a surprise attack? Fiamma's legs were beginning to ache, her lungs prickling with exertion, which prompted her to consider a few other options before ultimately tossing them all away. She would keep on her current path, but that didn't mean she couldn't try a few distractions... Light exploded to life in the narrow alley when the fire magi drew her arm back and launched a column of flame towards a dumpster she had just passed, setting its contents alight and scattering sparks all about before doing the same to two nearby trashcans. Distractions were always a good bet. As the target continued to ran Off Umbrage decided to slow down as she jumped down not to far off from where she saw the magi ran to. She was overly sure that she hit the girl with a knife... So she'll start slowing down eventually. If the target was hit then they may be smart enough to keep the knife in to limit the blood that would drop. Continuing forward not far behind she prepared a few more knives ready to pin down the target.... Picking up speed she realizes area they would be going into may cause some...rather larger damage than she would like... To the buildings... Oh boy this may not be a good day.
Turning into the alley she saw the magi ran past to hear a quick glare of fire from the garbage... Damn it she's trying to obscure my vision. Hearing Culan's voice through the radio she speaks. "I'm still on the target... She's set some fires to obscure my vision... I'm going forward. We're getting closer to the residential district, but there are little people close enough for an explosion to risk them." She stated as she walked by the fires. Getting her knives ready to throw. Remembering her sister's constant reminders to stay cautious she moved forward. Slowly and carefully... Her death would bring her family no good after all. Right now she really wished she had her axe.
Brute force was often her means to remove obstacles such as these... Manuevering around them always put herself at risk of a trap. Every fire she approached she threw a knife through the fire in hopes of that it would prevent or pressure the magi from our of her hiding place.

He shook his head and moved on regardless, he can hear the sound of fire and explosions in the residential district. It was a good sign, he hasn’t lost them yet, Culan was trained to hear things from a distance away. He can hear footsteps and sharp breaths, clearly it didn’t belong to Umbrage but now it was just about time to end the game. However Umbrage’s last report concerns Culan greatly. “There are little people close enough for an explosion to risk them” she says. IS SHE REALLY GONNA GO THROUGH WITH USIGN EXPLOSIVES? Dang, she’d do anything to catch that magi but so must Culan, course its not about the causalities but also the property damage. “Oh god no…” there was no more time to waste, finishing It right here is priority and if she dare you explosions, he can kiss his paycheck goodbye. Culan had to run, his cardio was good but it won’t help him out long, he covered a lot of distance and from the sounds of it, the Fire mage was very close. She was right around that corner and headed towards Culan’s area fast. Culan backed into a wall and when the moment was right, he would pull out his lance to the level of his shin in attempt to trip the fire magi over while she’s busy trying to get away from Umbrage. The best part about this is that both Umbrage and Fia would have assumed that Culan would have been long gone during this hunt. And if Fiama isn’t careful, she will… get captured. Fiamma Maritz, Umbrage, I am so sorry for not answering these threads, its really disrespectful of me to keep you guys waiting, I just hope these threads don't die out. This won't happen again.

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]oh don't worry, it's fine. we all have our slow points [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see Good good— that seemed to slow her pursuer down. Fiamma was spared a precious moment or two to rejoice her success, even if it would only gain her a little more of a lead in this chase, which came in the form of a vicious sneer over one shoulder (take that, asshole) as she continued pressing on at breakneck pace down the alley. The chance of scenery had certainly afforded her less distractions and obstacles but, as a trade off, she was being corralled ahead with few options. The fire magi could only wait for the next turn or branch in the path which could help her to attain the end goal of losing the Hunter behind her. Which tossed that unpleasant variable called luck into the equation.
And what of lady luck? Well, she didn't seem to want to do anything but ruin Fiamma's day.
Fiamma was breathing hard when she whipped her head back around to focus on the path ahead, and the air all but vacuumed out of her lungs in a strangled gasp when the scaled magi glimpsed the pole about to trip her up at the next intersection. She didn't react quick enough. That half second of floundering saw Fiamma's ankle colliding head on with the weapon and her weight pitched violently forwards— the momentum of her sprint too strong to halt —so that she found herself hitting the ground hard. Thank all the Gods that she had some protection on her palms because she would have lost most of the skin off of them otherwise, but the magi's cheek and jaw were not so lucky as she did a sort of half face plant in between rolling to a halt. The motion was murder on her already wounded shoulder and Fiamma felt a ripping pain when the knife was jostled free from her flesh.
Fucking ow. She didn't know whether she wanted to whimper like a baby or curse like a sailor (probably a bit of both) and, in the end, Fiamma's whole body seized in a panicked shriek when she looked up from laying in an awkward pile to see the man from before. How did he get ahead? It must have been a short cut of some kind, taken while Fiamma herself was too preoccupied with barreling ahead to distance herself from the first Hunter, but she wasn't about to question him on the accomplishment. Oh no— her first instinct was to point both palms in his direction and and birth a roaring torrent of flame.
There was no stopper placed on the sheer volume of flames her magic was summoning forth— just more; more heat, more fire, all that she could until the danger was torched out of existence —yet there was no finesse or strategy to it. The attack was a chaotic explosion that would leave even Fiamma with some singed hair as it expanded to the point of shattering nearby windows inward and funneling scarlet light up towards the sky. She was just reacting out of fear and hoping, desperately, that this would either incapacitate the others or cause enough havoc to give her an opening to run off.
