Weaving in and out of the burning piles of trash was rather easy. It was caution that took priority now as the magi had nothing to hold them back from an all our attack within this area. Even if she had lost time on trying to catch the magi her own safety should take priority. It was enough having Culan saving her ass one time... For it to happen again would just be shameful. At least this time it won't end with them retreating with their tails between their legs. Such a bad way to end a job... Culan lately had been very well caring for her well being more than she's seen outside of her family. It was always them versus the world, but to know someone else could have her back put so much of her worries to ease. Slipping last the last of the fires to see the magi running and tripping from what she could tell Culans spear... Wow.. Definitely knows the lay of the land. Umbrage continued forward cautiously grabbing three knives and prepping to throw them just in case the girl offered more resistance. If she were fighting this girl alone, Umbrage might have lost. Her axe didn't last too long from the heat although her alloy and increased resistance towards fire in hindsight it may have been better for her to have taken the hit so she could have had her axe with her still. No matter the job would soon end... And soon she realized why as she saw the girl stand up her movements were easy to predict as she raised her arms. She was reaching for desparation a final chance for freedom at the cost of possibily killing or severly injuring. Damn it was time to make her move and shut her down. The magi would get to set off her fire, but she wouldnt be fast enough to avoid being hit by something. Running forwards at full speed, umbrage picks up a metal trash cap prepping it as a shield for herself. Keeping her eyes locked on where the girl had positioned herself. When she shot the flames as she threw he three knives in the direction of where her legs were. Hopefully this would redirect her attention back at her. Charging forward she would bring up the make shift shield and use her propulsions to push past the fire faster than she would had alone. Her alloy would be able to endure the heat long enough to close the distance as she would charge in attempting to bash into the magi with her make shift shield before the area and Culan could receive critical damage. @paracelsus Fiamma Maritz

Its scary how Culan’s teacher, Serina was right about the rules of the predator and prey. There’s a difference between a smart cookie and a timid one. In the rules of hunting, the prey would always assume that the predator would come after it and would be compelled to run not to get caught, thinking of either places to hide or routes to escape from, relying heavily on their agility and their use of the environment. However there’s always a turnabout when it comes to these hunts that would prove scary, and that is when the prey decides to turn into a predator. On irregular hunts, the prey would try to lure its predator in a suitable area where they can ambush them, turning the hunter into the hunted. If the fire mage had not made any plans for her then it means she has been somewhere important, Culan prays that he himself doesn’t walk into an ambush. The rules of hunting, pursuit tell such a horrifying truth; anything can happen in a hunt. The fire mage actually tripped, she wasn’t aware of what’s ahead of her or that her mind was simply to escape Umbrage. As expected he was engaged, when Culan was about to introduce himself like he always do on his hunts, he was met with a barrage of flames and jumped away, but the flames still reached him, he twirled his spear to direct some of the flames away but that didn’t help at all, his hand and his lance were heated and it hurt him greatly, what’s more his favorite shirt was burnt exposing his chest, his bangs and his face was charred. Thank god he wasn’t burned if not for his reflex and had to hide behind cover but the damage to him was already done. His shirt was given to him by his sister which she had woven herself, how will he explain it to her the next time he sees his sister now? Like Serina said, anything can happen. The block exploded, and Culan was just near its center, it’s a miracle that he had survived but his paycheck did not and all that he is now is a charred shirtless man coughing out the bad air God dammit, she just incinerated my paycheck and my shirt

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]notes [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see Fire ripped through the portion of the alleyway that had become a battleground, sending up a resonating CRASH of noise that betrayed the sheer force of magic that was poured into the blast. Adrenaline does pretty amazing things and, in this case, the fear and single, consuming desire to protect herself from the two Hunters made Fiamma pull out all the stops in throwing up a wall of flames between her and them. Unrefined, but it was a very effective tactic.
The blast of heat and light obscured the magi's view of the man who had tripped her up in the first place and there was a moment where she was entirely protected from harm, until the cyborg came (quite literally) crashing in. Rapidly expanding flames created a rush of heated air and this was enough to safely knock the knives aside but, unfortunately, it did naught against the Hunter and her improvised shield. Another surprised yelp flew off of Fiamma's tongue as she found herself smashed back to the ground by the force of the tackle— preventing her from getting to her feet as she'd intended —in a painful impact of metal and limbs. Pain sparked outwards from the wound in her shoulder once she fell back and Fiamma wanted to writhe (get her off me, get her off, get her OFF), but like a rubber band snapping back the fear bled black with rage and instead she snarled.
A horrible screech went up as the fire magi's claws raked against the dented trashcan that was pressing her down and Fiamma changed tactics; she drew her legs up and aimed to kick the android off of her entirely. She wouldn't be deterred by failed attempts or resistance, not with her freedom on the line, and continued struggling and kicking until she could put distance between herself and her attacker. With a low growl rumbling in her throat she then pulled herself to her feet and stood with narrowed eyes flicking between the two Hunters and blood singing with the heat of her magic— hot enough that visible flames flickered over Fiamma's hands as she edged back further down the alley.
It was a clear warning: she would spill blood, burn this block to the ground, if that's what it took to get away. She just had to wait and see if they would try to keep her here. Launching herself towards the magi prooved to be a fruitful effort. As she collided right into her pinning her to the ground with a make shift shield. Wow.... It worked... I hit her.... Wow that felt amazing. Although even though she has successfully tackled the magi down, the flames around them were gonna be a problem eventually. However she had her target in hand and she would not allow her to escape. The collateral damage wouldn't matter so long as she caught the girl, but right now she had to remove the girls control. Without realizing it the girl had pivoted moved to pivot her off. She wasn't gonna get away by shaking off this android, but she didn't see the rapid kicks. Moving her hand to grip the girl by the neck in vain as the constant struggle had the Android fall off right next to her. For a moment she contemplated killing the girl, but that wasn't her objective.... Can't kill her, need her to be alive. She kept repeating the thought within her mind. So close... To an actual capture... A real threat. For a moment Isabelle thought of her family. Damn it can't die here... I'm in the fight too deep as is. Before the girl could get back up, Umbrage would reach out to grab the girls leg. Hoping to use her enhance strength to make her fall back down once more in order to get a solid punch into the girls abdomen. Her targeted spot was right below the rib cage. A reaction should force her to... Gag... But if she can land that Mark she'll be able to break the magi's focus. @paracelsus Fiamma Maritz

He can’t do much about the situation right now and all he had to do was dust himself off and bare the fact that he was covered in the ashes of his burnt T-shirt. His spear at absorbed and suffered great heat and yet it was hot still. He got up from where he sat, and coughed out a cloud of ash as if to clear his lungs. He can hear the fire mage’s breaths; they have become a bit more desperate. Such firepower at pointblank range, Culan could have been burnt if he wasn’t careful, how terrifying. But this doesn’t mean that Culan would be useless, after all, whatever is left of his paycheck is on the line and he needs to silence the magi from even having to use any other spells. His spear was still as hot as soldered iron, all except for the grip which his hand was slightly burnt. Perhaps now he can use this to his advantage. He dare not try to strike the fire mage with the edge of his spear and Umbrage seems to have this all covered, it was only a matter of contacting the containment vehicle and completely silencing the fire mage. The wall of flames seems to have obstructed him for a moment till the cyborg crashed in and tackled her down. When the wall of flames subsides, he passed through and looked for an opening. But he can’t just wait and allow Umbrage to do this all by herself. Since the fire mage has no weapon on her and had nothing else but her magic and fist, Culan had to decide first, will he jump in and try to give her a hard time? Or settle this with a do or die tactic? Seeing as Umbrage was being caught of guard and that the fire mage’s attention shifted to the cyborg’s, Culan’s choice was clear. He exhaled and positioned his spear horizontally on shoulder level, with only his right hand gripping it tightly. There is no point in trying to fight the fire mage in the alleyways, if this were to be an open area, the job could have been easier for Culan, therefore only one option remains. “…Soar..” The moment Umbrage was to fall out of the way, Culan had sights on his target, aiming for the fire mage’s left shoulder. Careful aim is crucial and it would go in a straight line, it shall be thrown in a great speed to which only great lancers can achieve. The sound of muscle contracting can be heard and when the spear is thrown, it would disrupt the circulation of air as if trying to piercing through it, creating its own air pressure in the process. For this purpose, it has to nail the fire mage to the wall and while the spear is still hot, it will penetrate through clothing and if the blade had any contact with the flesh around the shoulder level, it would definitely be painful. His right hand would shake right after he’d thrown it as it required great force to perform the throw. And at the same time, it took a lot to endure the heat. By the time the spear would stop flying, it would have cooled. Fiamma Maritz Umbrage

[attr="class","foreign"] [attr="class","dust"] [attr="class","gold"] Umbrage@paracelsus [attr="class","gold"]words [attr="class","gold"]notes [attr="class","sun"]A Foreign Sun * I never thought I'd see Did this girl ever quit?
Fiamma had blasted her weapon to scrap metal, thrown fireballs at her face, tossed burning trash into her path, and outright tried blowing up the alley yet the fire magi found herself dragged back down by a stubborn robotic hand reaching up to grab her ankle. The strength in the grip had Fiamma's bones creaking in protest and a frustrated snarl rolled up from her throat, cut off when she was forced to block a punch leveled straight for her abdomen. A graceless struggle ensued as Fiamma fought against her attacker, doing all she could to try and wriggle out of the cyborg's hold, which came in the form of sporadic kicks aimed for the other's face and the wrist of the hand that held her.
This was proving ineffective, though, and Fiamma's anxiety skyrocketed with each passing second that she failed to free herself and get away from the two Hunters. The man seemed to have taken a much more serious blow from her magic, but her instincts told her that he would be back on his feet soon or, at the very least, contacting some sort of backup to come and finish her off while she remained here— trapped and helpless. That was not going to be allowed to happen. She was not going to be thrown into some cage at the mercy of Hunters and their sadistic whims, nor would she allow herself to be slaughtered and turned into spare parts. No. NEVER. Every fiber of Fiamma's being raged against the mere idea and her thoughts were consumed with the single desire to get away.
It was with another vicious growl that the fire magi drew back one hand, her trusty flint still clutched desperately in her fingers, and she flicked a claw over the ore's surface to bring a spark into life. Fiamma's other hand aimed its palm towards the cyborg at point blank range, a soft hiss crackled through the air, and then— BOOM!
She'd been fully intent on creating an explosion this time around— willing to risk her own safety in a last gamble —and Fiamma only hoped that this would keep her persuer down this time. Please. The heat of the blast left a prickling sting behind on her arms and face and the sound of it was enough to set her ears ringing, disoriented to the point of stumbling heavily when she dragged herself to her feet a few moments later. And if the backlash wasn't bad enough, Fiamma's attention was grabbed by a soft whistle of air just before the spear came whizzing by. The fire magi's movement had been enough to keep the weapon from punching a hole right through her shoulder but that did not stop the blade from carving a small trench in her flesh as it ripped through skin and muscle alike, embedding in the wall once it passed. Blood splattered and Fiamma clenched her teeth on a shriek.
Pain on pain on pain. Her condition was getting rougher by the minute but, in the end, she was on her feet now and just might have found her chance to escape. That was the hope anyway, as Fiamma clamped a hand over her freshly wounded shoulder (blood leaking between her fingers) and attempted to coordinate her limbs enough to edge down the alley. If there was nothing else to stop her, she would turn and start running. Tugging the girl down brought some excitement to Umbrage. She wouldn't give up on the chase after getting this close to a capture. The rush and power she felt from both herself as well as the girl. Pulling her closer with her enhanced strength to prepare a punch to her abdomen. Was surprised to see the girl block the punch and had remained unaware of what she was reaching for until she just moments before she saw where the girl would be aiming her next blast... This girl was getting desperate... And she had to commend her for that, as it was ensuring the girls capture or surviving this next attack. Why take down an opponent when you have no means to retain the awards. With her calculations she reacted quick enough to cover the girls hand with her own, but it was too late to snuff out the flame the would soon send her flying. A simple loud Boom! Had shot her back down the alley not to far away to still be able to see the girl. Umbrage struggled to stand as she saw that all, but one of her limbs were missing. A quick diagnostic report showed her chassis was in critical condition as her head and operating unit has been spared from any major damage. She tried to speak to hear her own distorted voice barely let the words out over the comm "Help... Damage is... Quite critical... Culan... If my body is too heavy just... Take off my head and deliver it to Case, he should be able to build me a new body...." She had plenty of power but bits of her sensory mechanisms weren't working as her vision began to go in and out of static. If the girl had escaped It was definitely well earned, but next time she would be much more prepared for a fight... Now she just had to rely on Culan to do what was necessary. @paracelsus Fiamma Maritz
