It has been a long, tense day across the length and span of Ethea. Thousands of citizens of every race have gathered together to show their support for their side of the issue. The cacophonous swell of opposing voices fills the air as each side attempts to drown out the other with the sheer volume of their voices. While the day has passed with few incidents, tensions are high and the people are restless. Hours have passed since the polls first opened and the hour in which the results will be revealed. A loud, clear voice cuts through the noise like a knife, demanding the attention of all in attendance. “Ladies and Gentlemen, citizens of Ethea, if you would please direct your attention to the screen for just a few moments, the voting results have been compiled and we are ready to announce the conclusion. A hush falls over the gathered crowd and hundreds of individual faces turn to face the gigantic holographic display or towards the monitors by which those not in attendance have tuned to watch the historic event. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00The hologram shifts from the image of a clock and displays the results. The law has been passed. In a split second's timing uproar follows. One side rejoices while the other laments; all raise their voices in either praise or disgust. DAGOSAn overjoyed man in his late thirties flings his arms in celebration, losing his grip on the camera he’d been using to record the event. The device flies straight and true as though guided by the hands of fate itself and strikes one of the opposing protesters. The young woman falls flat, bleeding from a head wound. Outrage follows and all semblance of order is lost. The overzealous are the first to react, flinging themselves over the concrete dividers that separate the two groups. Fists fly and hateful slurs are shouted as mob mentality takes hold. The fight quickly turns lethal as picket signs are used as clubs and other, deadlier weapons are drawn. FELICIOld men toss jeers and slurs at a group of young magi. One of the members finally has enough and pushes the human away from her with an anger that sparks into minor flames at her fingertips. The reaction of the men is to scream in horror. "She's trying to kill us!" would be the cries heard above all else as they attempt to escape their deaths, all but one who pulls a gun on the woman who had singed his shirt just moments before. From there all sides come in to support the ones they believe to have been the true victim. Hunters, police, representatives of the Runic University, and MLM members who had been stationed there in case of such a reaction. CAMLORNSmaller townships such as Camlorn are slower to descend into madness, but descend they do. Upon hearing of the situation in both the capital and Dagos, local military commanders give orders to suppress any potential riots by any means necessary. Unfortunately, these orders are interpreted as authorization to fire upon both sides and Camlorn follows the example given by the large cities. The scene is one that replays itself in horrifying detail across the land. Many watch in horror as the chaos erupts. Some attempt to flee while others merely watch in utter disbelief, though one thing is shockingly clear. The Second Magi Riot has begun.

“ The Righteous Side of Hell." It had all gone to hell so fast that Daniel could barely wrap his head around it all. One minute the citizens of Ethea were waiting for the massive holographic display to reveal the results of the vote and the next people were shouting back and forth at each other again. He expected for a few fights to break out here and there; small squabbles at best. That, unfortunately, was only the beginning of the pandemonium.
He didn’t see what initially sparked the riot, but he knew something terrible was about to happen when one of his Hunters reported that some random fire magi had attacked a group of civilians. His first reaction had been to tell them to stand down; the order was lost in the chaos that erupted as the powder keg that was Ethean politics finally exploded and mob mentality took hold. Reports were streaming in from all over the city detailing similar incidents. Rioting, looting, wanton destruction of property, murders, muggings, lynching mobs, arson, and hundreds upon hundreds of other major crimes were being committed. Worst of all, it was spreading; the military and police were spread too thin across the capital and his own hunters could only do so much.
Daniel growled viciously in frustration. It was the gods damned Relocation Riots all over again!!
The old wolf decided to ignore all the reports streaming in through his combat visor so that he could focus on finding his little pup. Alexandra been adamant about staying by his side despite all his disagreements. After a while, he’d simple given up and let her stay in the area—at least she was somewhere he could keep a watchful eye on her. Now, he was regretting the decision because he’d somehow lost her in all the confusion and she was out there with the whole damn city tearing itself apart.
Daniel ducked behind a barricade he and a few police and REM (Royal Ethean Military) troops had cobbled together. There were over a dozen rioters armed with anything from pistols to automatic rifles bearing down on them. The old wolf rammed a fresh magazine into a battle rifle he’d acquired and dialed Lexie’s number through his visor. He’d keep trying until he got an answer, calmly firing over the ramshackle barricade all the while.
“Lexie, where are you?!” Daniel would shout, frantically competing with gunfire and shouted orders. “I’m pinned down near the shopping district, but you tell me where ya ended up and I’ll make my way there!”
“You just going to abandon us?!” a soldier shouted as he laid into the rioters with his own rifle.
“Fuck you! This is my daughter were talkin’ ‘bout! Ya’ve got a fuckin’ barricade, so fuckin’ use it!”

History won't This was Hell. Because no way could this be her home. Not this.
Alex had insisted upon coming with her father because she wanted to help prevent innocent people from getting hurt. Now it was taking every ounce of her power to make sure she achieved even a fraction of that goal. The tension had already been so thick in the air during the waiting that it was nearly palpable. It had only taken a few pokes after the results were in to "wake the bear." And boy, was it angry. The streets were now filled with screaming bodies. Figures wielding whatever they could to pummel down the others. At this point they barely resembled people anymore; it was like being thrown into a pit filled with rabid animals.
And Alex, of course, had somehow gotten swept up inside.
Thank the gods she had brought her shield and spear with her. Perhaps not the most advanced of weaponry, but her shield had proven nearly invaluable as she'd gotten swept over by the tide. There were still innocent bystanders in the thick of it; those who wanted nothing to do with all this maiming and murdering that the whole city had gotten involved in. Those were the ones Alex went after to protect, be they Magi or human. The others she battered aside, carving what paths she could to get the others out while dodging as much chaos and harm as she could. It wasn't easy by any means, but she was trying her best to save who she could.
It was while she was corralling one group out, screaming "Go, go, go! Keep moving- don't look back!" At the top of her lungs that she heard- or rather felt- her phone go off in her pocket. Only one person came to mind. Dad! Alex took a hard turn and slid into cover inside one of the buildings. Someone had throw a trashcan through the window and shattered it. The denizens inside had either fled or been dragged out; either way Lexie didn't see anyone as she rushed over the broken glass and ducked behind the counter. As she did she finally spotted a few others. Frightened people too scared to chance going outside. She addressed them first with a shaky smile and a breathy "Don't worry: I'm here to help," before fishing out her phone and pressing accept.
"Dad!" Gods above was it wonderful to hear his voice, even as hard as it was to understand over the din of both their areas. "I'm still in the shopping district! I ended up getting pushed further in I think. I just went into..." she trailed off as she searched around so something- anything- to tell her where she was. Nothing. Damn. "Do you know what store this is?" She asked one of the other hiders. One of them managed to mumble out a reply, which she responded to with a thankful smile. "I'm at the Joe & Go Cafe. It's been looted but there are some people inside. I've been trying to get out who I can but... it's pretty crazy here Dad." It was the first time she'd admitted it since this dam broke and chaos took over. Right now she was still in protector mode: she wanted to get out as many as she could before she'd have to haul her own tail out of there as well. There was no time to be frozen with fear- she'd use that fear to move faster instead.
"I'm going to keep going. I'll stay in the area as much as I can but these people need to move before the rioters get to them too." She knew Daniel probably wouldn't be pleased, and he'd be even less pleased when he saw what state she was in. The girl was as hardy as they came, but she certainly looked rough from picking multiple fights through the crowd and having to keep low to dodge flying bullets. "I love you, dad." She said, pouring as much affection as she could into the words. "Please stay safe. I'll help who I can." With that she hung up and took a deep breath. Ok: here we go.
"Let's move everyone. Stay close to me and move fast: let's get you out of here." Alex said as she peeked around the counter, checked their surroundings, and headed out once the coast seemed a little clearer. At least, as clear as it was going to get.

hiro was not sure what had happened but she did know one thing; There was going to be another riot. Just like the Relocation camps, the one her father’s friend often told stories about. Fear stroke the young hunter’s heart as her eyes widened to the scene that unfolded before her. She had no one, but she was stuck near the front with humans pushing her to join them as they yelled hateful things towards the Magi. “S-Stop! It’ll only make things worse!” The young hunter seemed to squeak out but no one would listen. They just continued to yell and curse and spew hate-filled words towards the Magi. The sight of blood. It was something Shiro couldn’t handle. Tove knew so as well but when he pushed her to join the voting, he didn’t know that this would occur. Well, he had some acknowledge something would happen but he didn’t realize it would get this bad. Shiro had quickly removed herself from a group of humans. The loudness of everything was becoming too much for the human as she quickly covered her ears to try and shove out the sounds but to no avail. Yet as Shiro manuevered her way around the humans, she found herself coming across frightened Magi. Her first reaction was to just keep going but what kind of heartless person would do that. Quickly taking action for herself, she ran up to a magi that seemed completely lost and frightened of what was ocurring. Instinctively, Shiro took a hold of the Magi’s hand who in return just looked at her in horror as if she thought she was about to be killed. Instead, Shiro reassured her that she was going to be okay and continued to move on. Her first thought was to immediately find a place to hide and once she did, she ran right for it. Instead, she ran right into a red-headed female. She hadn’t even been paying attention but instead looking around the area to make sure she didn’t run into any other hunters. Instead, she just ran right into this female and bounced right off. Shiro immediately began to apologize, “I’m so sorry! Please don’t kill me! Just let the Magi go safely!” She squealed as she brought herself to her knees with her hands over her head as if to protect herself. Yep, what a GREAT hunter she was…

“ The Righteous Side of Hell." Damnit! DAMNIT! DAMNIT ALL TO HELL!!!
Of course, Alex would want to help as many people as she could! It was her nature after all. He’d known that, and yet part of him was hoping that she would ignore that nagging itch to protect others. Damn could only curse at himself out of anger and concern for his daughter’s safety as he continued to return fire, dropping several hostiles to no avail. More and more were pouring into the street from every direction to fill the holes Daniel tore into their ranks. The stress of the firefight was starting to show as well; three of the REM soldiers he’d started with were down—either dead of severely wounded—and almost everyone else was injured in some fashion. This area was well on its way to being overrun. Daniel himself had already taken a graze across his thigh from when some asshole managed to get a lucky shot off. It may have been worse than that if not for years of experience and pure instinct.
“Just keep moving and remember what I taught you!” Daniel responded. “I’m gonna do everything I can ta get to you!” He took a mental note of the shop Lexie had found herself in and made to hang-up but her next declaration stopped him. His grip on the borrowed weapon tightened in sympathy with his chest.
“I love you to, Lexie. Stay sharp.” The call ended after that and Daniel pointed a finger at the trooper that had yelled at him earlier. “Hey you! This place ain’t gonna hold much longer! Gather up as many people as ya can and get ‘em all ta the Hunter’s Guild!”
“Our orders are to stay her and hold this position!” he replied. Daniel growled and stomped up the soldier, pressing him violently against the barricade.
“Fuck your orders! If ya stay here, you’re all gonna die, but if ya get to the Guild House, ya might actually get through this! GET ME!?” The two of them had an old-fashioned staring contest with neither of them willing to give in to the other. Daniel could see the battle raging within the soldier—Sergeant Avery by his name plate. On the one hand, he had his orders to follow, and the old wolf was more than familiar with the concept. On the other, there were the lives of his men to consider. The latter seemed win out in the end as he brushed Daniel off and gave the order to boobytrap the barricade before pulling back. Daniel gave the man a satisfied look before departing on his own personal mission. He had a daughter to find and subordinates to collect. They needed to get to a fortified position so they’d be able to defend themselves from the onslaught.
He managed to run sever blocks into the shopping district when he heard the explosion. The noise was ignored as he discarded his rifle and withdrew Black Hammer form its holster. He had a feeling that it was going to see more than a little use before the day was over.

History won't Keep moving and remember what he taught her. She could do that. Though a bit of worry grew in her stomach over concern for her father's own safety, Alex had to push it aside for the time being as she exited the shop. Daniel was fully capable of taking care of himself. Alex had to believe that he'd find her. She just had to survive until then. As she headed outside she suddenly felt someone run straight into her. It only made her stumble a step but managed to knock the other person down.
Gods it was another bystander. Two from the looks of it. "It's ok." Alex said in as comforting a voice as she could manage. Keeping her eyes moving from left to right, she briefly crouched down before the girl and looked at her long enough to give her a smile. "I'm not going to hurt you or your friend, ok? We're trying to get people out of this mess. Here, come on." With a hand she reached out to gently, yet quickly, help the girl to her feet. They couldn't stay out in the open like this for too long. "We need to keep moving if we're going to get out! Let's go: stay clo-" A sharp noise whizzed past her head and cut her words short. Had that been a stray or was someone specifically aiming for them? Either way Alex's words went from encouraging to ordering. "Shoot, we need to move! Go, go, go!" With one hand she started actually pushing the girl and herding the others off in one direction. Meanwhile the arm with the shield she kept up and turned towards their backs as the others started running.
A loud metallic ding! came from her shield as the group managed to turn the first corner. Damn someone was going after them. Alex grimaced from the impact but kept going as she pushed or pulled the one girl around and into temporary safety. "Keep moving with the others! Keep the Magi in the middle of the group and as hidden as you can: they're being aimed at most!" With that she whirled around just in time for their pursuer to turn that corner. Despite having heard gunshots for the past few minutes- hours? Frankly it felt like an eternity once all hell broke loose- the sound of it right next to her head was nearly deafening. Alex just barely managed to miss taking a bullet to the head as it bounced off the wall. Fortunately her shield arm was already in motion and caught the bastard in the side of the head with a meaty thud! of flesh hitting metal hard. He went down and did not get back up, but Alex wasn't about to wait to check if he was alive or if he had friends. She turned and sprinted after the group she was trying to escort out, unaware of the blood trickling down her cheek for the time being. It didn't take her too long to catch up again and get back in front: making herself the bigger target than the others. It was kind of easy to do, considering her size and her hair. "Let's keep moving, come on!" She called back. They had to get out of this district; the others couldn't possibly be worse than this one.

he petite blonde was almost positive she was going to die right then and there. But she didn’t. Instead she was greeted by a soft spoken voice. Peeking up, she caught the eyes of the woman she had run into and her face reddened. Not because she thought the woman was attractive or anything. Well, wait, she was, she was just shocked that the woman was so friendly. The woman stated she was attempting to get people out and suddenly Shiro’s face had grown stern, giving a quick nod before taking the woman’s hand. It was quick but it helped her to her feet. She looked to the woman as she began to say lets go, until a something came whizzing by. Eyes widened, she turned and as soon as the woman said to go, Shiro went running off with the rest in one direction. She wasn’t sure what the woman was doing, but Shiro was determined to get the hell out of that situation with everyone else in safety. She was concerned for everyone. She kept turning her head to look back, keeping count of each individual that ran with the two. The red-head had a shield and it wasn’t long before a loud metallic ding was heard as a bullet hit her shield. Although they had quickly turned the corner, the woman had pulled Shiro to fasten her pace to keep her safe. “Magi in the middle!” Shiro squeaked to the others as if to attempt the red-head’s words reach the others which obviously did. Shiro was quick to act now as the magi had stationed herself into the middle of the group and they kept running, her eyes glancing back to check on the one who was keeping them safe. When she noticed the female had stopped, Shiro had paused some to catch a breath while the others kept running. She wanted to go help but Shiro couldn’t do nothing. It also seemed like the woman didn’t even need help as the arm that held the shield immediately caught the individual that was after them and hit him in the side of the head. Her eyes widened and Shiro quickly turned around and just ran for her life. The blonde kept running, noticing that the red-head was passing her up already and made her way to the front. With widened eyes, a sort of nervous feeling took over the young hunter. “P-Please be careful, ma’am!” Shiro yelped out to the red-head. This made her nervous. The woman was the tallest out of everyone in the group and the most noticeable. What if she got hurt? Shiro couldn’t handle blood so how would she even help? Shaking the thought from her mind, she picked up her pace and kept moving on, listening to the woman’s orders. tag(s):Daniel Caim ,Alexandra Caim ━ words:000 - Notes: the fact shiro is worried about lexie....... “ The Righteous Side of Hell." Daniel tried his best to concoct a workable plan of escape while he ran, avoiding the worst to the pandemonium. The store of ammunition on his person would likely be more than sufficient for any problems he came across and he had his two runic weapons for situations that required greater fire power. No, the obstacle he faced was finding Lexie and anyone she’d picked up along the way and getting them to safety while ensuring everyone involved suffered as little harm as possible. One task would be difficult enough without the other looming over it like a storm cloud.
He briefly thought about using the artifact in his possession to survey the area from the air, though he quickly dismissed the idea. Not only would paint a massive target across his back, but the act would reveal one of his trump cards and he needed every possible advantage he could find. Daniel shook his head and focused on finding Lexie; there’d be plenty of time to figure things out from there.
The old wolf rounded a corner and almost ran right into a group of six humans. He slid to a stop and brought his pistol to bear, sighting one of them down. The group twitched and lurched like puppets handled by a drunken puppeteer. Instinct told him that there was something very, very wrong with this scene. His eyes narrowed while he tried to discern exact what that something was; none of the possible answers were ones that he enjoyed entertaining.
One of the group turned a blank stare upon him. The individual—a woman in her early twenties—regarded him for a but a moment before her features contorted into a mask of bestial rage. A banshee scream tore from her throat and was soon joined by five others as the group turned as one to engage him. Six practiced trigger squeezes put all of them down before they’d even got close, but the screeching seemed to have summoned twice that many to fill their places.
Daniel reloaded and fire another five rounds before drawing Raze-Lighter. He caught a pipe used by one of the banshees’ on the kukri’s edge and fired his last round into the man’s abdomen. Another contender moved in with a picket sign as Daniel holstered his revolver in exchange of his second kukri. One weapon moved to block while the other tore out the woman’s throat. Then, he rolled away, coming to his feet in time to catch yet another strike with crossed blade. A scissoring motion easily severed the improvised weapon. Daniel followed through with a vicious kick between the legs. Two more moves downed a pair of entrance rioters before he rolled away again, gaining a bit of distance.
"Raze-Lighter!” A pillar of intense heat roiled from the weapon as he pointed it at his foes. Agonized screams and the scent of roasted flesh permeated the air as four rioters were engulfed in flames. They were trampled underfoot when they fell and their fellows heedlessly rush the hunter.
Daniel delivered a powerful snap-kick to one’s kneecap with a sickening crunch as his hands lashed to claim to more kills. He ducked below a piece of rebar and drove his fist into the offender’s nose. Then, it came down to blade work. Daniel became a blur of motion, striking and defending. Blood sprayed and dying screams echoed through the streets.
Then, it was suddenly over and Daniel remained the man standing, covered if arterial blood that wasn’t his one. His face was a blank mask of red and killing intent as he surveyed the carnage he had wrought. Two or three of his opponents were still alive but he moved quickly to ensure that wouldn’t be true for much longer.

History won't Alex would have shot back a reassuring smile at the girl who seemed concerned for her. As it were, she could only turn her head halfway while she kept moving. She was aware she was the bigger target: that was the point. "Don't worry about me, miss." The redhead called back in as convincingly calm a voice she could muster for the time being. "I'll be fine." She was the shield, after all. First priority was getting these people to safety.
Fortunately Alex's early morning jogs ended up being handy. Even with all the chaos these streets were awfully familiar. Meaning she could lead her group through twist and turns without losing her way. Keeping her ears open for noise, she managed to skirt them around most of the heavy crowds through back alleys and speedster streets. But she couldn't avoid it all.
A few times they flirted with danger as a few clashing groups came into view. For the most part Alex continued to push forward, telling her group to "Keep moving! Don't stop!" while she moved herself to run between the violence and the fleeing mass she escorted. One group, however, they ran straight into. Turning a blind corner, Alex came face-to-face with a number of individuals carrying makeshift weapons. Humans, by the looks of it, heading further in to the shopping district. Looters? Rioters? Whatever they were, they were just as surprised to see Alex as she was to see them. Which in turn worked to her advantage.
The girl didn't slow as she instinctually raised her shield to guard herself, which ended up perfectly placing it in line with the individual's face. There was a sick crunch noise followed by a sharp yell. The man went down holding his nose as Lexie bulldozed right over him to face the rest of his group. Five quickly turning angry humans. Well this wasn't good. At least they were focused on her. "Keep going!" Alex yelled, once again bringing her shield up to deflect a swing from one of the raiders. It bounced off and gave her the perfect opportunity to swing forward with her other hand to land a punch straight to their jaw with all her weight behind it. All that training with her father proved adequate as she felt something give beneath her fist and the unlucky victim fell in an unceremonious heap to the ground. They didn't move again. 2 down, 4 to go.
The remaining rioters charged her at once, which didn't really give her too much time to react. One blow she managed to deflect off once more with the shield, while the other two she just managed to dodge out of the way as she backed up. One did manage to strike her though it wasn't too much of a detriment. Besides, now she was armed: as she pulled away she stole the pipe the second figure had wielded. Not exactly her favorite weapon, but getting her spear out right now would be bad. With cold metal in hand, she switched position and charged forward herself instead. A small group of untrained civilians wasn't really all that much of a match. Especially for someone trained by a Hunter. Lexie used her shield to deflect away most of the damage while dishing out her own using the borrowed pipe. Once four more bodies joined the dirt, she dropped the improvised weapon in a flash. It didn't feel good, doing that. She hadn't wanted to hurt anyone at all. But as she surveyed the fallen six on the ground, she didn't exactly feel guilty. They had attacked her group at their own peril. Maybe she would feel guilt for battering random civilians later, but for now she couldn't. She still had a job to do.
Shaking her head, she forced her body to move onwards and catch up to her group. Hopefully they had listened and kept moving forward. Either way, once Alex caught up she would once more take point. "Come on, we're almost out of the district." It came out in a bit of a rough huff. Which probably matched and perfectly described how Alex looked: rough. Still standing though, and that was all that mattered. They kept moving onwards as Alexis finally took out her spear from its sheath. The metal extended to its full length, the tip gleaming dangerously though she didn't exactly want to use it. Though after hearing a shrill shriek in the distance, she didn't exactly want to be caught unawares without her best weapon again.
As they turned the corner she finally stopped her following group with a raised hand. Figures were running off towards one direction but they looked... wrong. Something was up and Alex didn't like it. "Hold on a second." This time she spoke quietly, just loud enough to be heard over the city's din. Taking a few cautious steps forward, she investigated where the people were running- or more like bull-rush shambling- towards. Which in turn allowed her a distant sight to a very familiar looking figure utterly destroying those approaching.
Alex could easily recognize her own father.
Rather than be horrified by the show, she was swept up with relief. Her father was alive! He'd managed to reach them! That was all that went through her head for the time being. Not the fact Daniel was quite easily slaughtering people that came close. Though that certainly wasn't a detail that went unnoticed. Lexie turned back towards her group and motioned them forward as Daniel went to dispatch the remaining two. "This way! I found us some help!" The redhead said, newfound energy coursing through her at the sight of Daniel. Then she was off again, racing towards the Old Wolf.
"Dad!"

hiro, still nervous as all heck for the red-headed female, chose to just take the girl’s words as truthful. Even though Shiro kept telling her the girl would get tired or she’d get hurt, she had to believe her because what was the point of her being the leader anyways if Shiro couldn’t trust her? They were able to take side streets and what not, the female seemed smart enough to lead them through areas that didn’t show much danger. Unfortunately she couldn’t save them all from it and here and there they had to shove through groups just to get past. Of course, the shield she held easily got them through and with her yelling for them to keep going, it was pretty easy. Yet it was slowly beginning to tire Shiro out. She was able to run for a long period of time but all this was weighing her down and the stress. Watching people fall, Magis and humans both plunder to the ground with wounds, it was too much for the tiny human. Yet, suddenly, a sharp yell was heard. Shiro’s attention snapped forward to the red-head who just plowed right into some man and got him right in the face with her shield. The petite blonde gasped slightly, hand over mouth as she stared wide eyed. Shiro watched as the red-head stopped and yelled for them to keep going. They did. The other pushed forward, pushing Shiro along. She wanted to help, to stay with the kind woman but she knew she had to help the others to safety as well. Immediately, Shiro set her eyes back forward and kept running, her eyes flashing back every now and then to watch what was happening incase the red-head was taken down. Which she doubted would happen but it was still nice to check up. Shiro herself was faced with a bit of difficulty. Her eyes constantly scanned, her feet were tiring and she could feel herself slipping up and slowing down. But she told the group to keep moving, even if that meant she had to stop for a split second but when she would, it wasn’t for long. She’d grab a moment to breath then jump right back into running. She had to keep the group safe now that the kind woman was gone and so be it she would. Here and there a crazed human would run by, take a look but keep going. At other times they’d pause and attempt to follow. Shiro in return would pull the small blades from her belt and throw them aimlessly. She heard a couple screams, taking a glance back to notice that a blade would of hit them in the leg and the individual would have to stop and pull it out or just topple over. Shiro would yell sorry and keep moving on. She wasn’t quite sure how long they had been running without the woman but the blonde was beginning to worry until she heard her voice. With a smile, Shiro released a small clap as if to congratulate the woman for succeeding and catching up. Her way of showing her appreciation but they continued to push on. It was difficult to look at the woman as she seemed tired, beaten and roughed up. It was a difficult sight to see and she knew well that once they were placed into safety that she would do everything in her power to try and fix up the poor woman that was helping them. It was the shriek that caught Shiro off guard and she paused in her tracks. Wide eyes, looking about until she caught the figures running towards one direction. They seemed messed up, something was obviously wrong with them. Yet, as the red-head motioned them to stop, they all paused and watched as she took a couple more steps and her face was washed with relief. Brows furrowed, Shiro looked to see the figure fighting off the others than seemed messed up. It was then that she stated she found help and the group quickly moved off to follow the lady and so had Shiro. It was overwhelming obviously for this red-head because the individual that fought off the crazed humans was her father. Shiro quickly followed behind and once they reached the man she stopped and placed a hand over her chest with a smile. Face reddened from all the running, Shiro was still able to manage an “awe” towards the female and her father reuniting. She took a glance back, taking count of those that followed us and counting the Magi that she'd had brought along. All there...

The section of the shopping district you find yourselves in becomes eerily quiet now that the mob of mindless people has been dealt with. Gunfire and screams and other discordant sounds still fill the distance, but the immediate vicinity has descended into relative silence. The small group Alexandra and Shiro have guided up to this point take a moment to rest and catch their fleeting breath. It appears a lull in the desperate chase has come and the newly united father/daughter pair is graced with a moment to enjoy their reunion.
However, it is cut short by a new disturbance. Distant yammering like the howl of wolves shatter the peaceful atmosphere. The civilians cast fearful gazes in every direction, huddling closer together as though their blood had run cold despite the summer heat. Daniel would be the first of them to catch wind of the incoming threat with his heightened senses. The familiar scent of wet fur and the metallic tang of spilled blood would assault his olfactory senses. Then, the sound of barking would make itself known to the rest of the group. Shortly thereafter, a horde of large, rabid dogs would round the corner several blocks away and affix the group with hungry stares. Foam and saliva ran in think ropey strands from snapping jaws filled with rows of sharp teeth.
The horde would charge as one prompting a swell of panicked cries to be uttered by the civilians. The first to run is a mother clinging to her small child and a gentleman in his late forties would follow; it would not be long before all of the followed suit.

“ The Righteous Side of Hell." Daniel stomped on one thrall’s neck and twisted his heel—snapping his neck—before leaning down to stab the remaining survivor though her skull. He rose, levering his weapon out of his fallen foe. A familiar voice made him whip around with an expression that spoke of pure and utter relief painting his features.
“Lexie!” Daniel shouted. He ignored the carnage left behind by his pitched battle and sprinted towards his beloved daughter, wrapping her in a tight hug. “God’s damn if I’m not glad to see you. You’re not hurt, are you?” He separated for a moment to examine her, taking note of any injuries she might’ve sustained. The once over was concluded with another hug before Daniel pulled away and looked to the group that’d been following. It was just like her to risk everything for others. He was both furious and proud of his little girl.
“Alright, now, we just gotta get to th—…” Daniel stopped midsentence when he heard something dispelling the relative peace that had befallen the area. A grim frown etched itself into his features as he sheathed his kukris, drew Black Hammer, and loaded six fresh rounds. He wrinkled his nose as the smell of wet fur hit him and the sinking feeling delved deeper and deeper. The barking and howling he began to hear only served to sharpen the edge of his rising apprehension.
“Alex, I need you to get everyone moving.” The first of a massive pack of rabid dogs appeared around the corner. Daniel aimed down the sights of his weapon only to lower it as the pack continued to increase in size.
“Lexie, get them moving. As in right NOW!”
The dogs charged as one at the behest of some hidden signal. Daniel sighted one down and calmly squeezed the trigger, wary of hitting any members of the group his daughter had led here. Six times he fired and six times his struck home, dropping dogs that tripped a few of their packmates.
A series of practiced gestures saw fresh rounds chambered and fired as Daniel steadily retreated the way he came. When those rounds were spent, he turned and a sprinted away, periodically reloading and halting to fire again before continuing his escape. The Hunter came to the sickening realization that he’d become the one being hunted.

History won't Gods above it was wonderful to wrap her arms around Daniel and feel the fact that, yes, her father was indeed alive. A huge weight lifted from her chest as she momentarily sagged with pure relief. Daniel was alive; he was ok. They would all get through this together. As he leaned away Alex just smiled wide and shook her head. She wasn't exactly hurt, per say; at least not by her own definition. Though the close call with the bullet from earlier still left a red stain upon her cheek. For the most part it had stopped bleeding though. Alex wasn't even aware of it either. "No no I'm fine. Are you ok?" It might've been her father but Lexie still had to ask. The riots were crazy out here; she should know, she'd been stuck in the midst of it not too long ago. They all technically still were.
The sweet reunion was cut short though. As Daniel was talking he suddenly cut off midsentence. Alex might not have had her father's sense of smell, but even she could feel the tension and hear the rapidly approaching sound of dogs. Even before Daniel gave his command, she had an inkling of what to do. And once the first wave of hounds came into view she actually did it. "Everyone run!" Some of the others had already started; now Alex was pushing the remaining members to do the same. Even going so far as to toss one person frozen with fear over her shoulder. It might slow her down a little, but the girl was in good enough shape to manage. Besides, adrenaline often helped push the body to the limit. Plenty of it was currently coursing through Alex's veins as she fled with the group.
But they couldn't run forever. As much as Alex could encourage them to go on, these people were beginning to tire. They'd already been running for quite some time. Even with the adrenaline Lexie herself knew fatigue was awaiting just around the corner. So as she ran away with the others in tow (one quite literally) she wracked her brain for a solution. What to do when a huge horde of actual animals was coming after you? If they managed to overtake the group, the results would be dire. They couldn't face the full force of the pack head on. Which was what gave Alex her idea.
Why fight them all at once when you could force them to filter in one by one?
"Get inside somewhere!" The redhead yelled, green eyes darting around desperately to find a place to suit their needs. "We need to force them to file through one by one!" Creating a bottleneck could and probably would trap the group in one location, but at the same time at least it would give them the advantage. Her father's gun or swords and Alex's own spear could take down plenty that way. Maybe even all of them before they hurt anyone else in their group. Green eyes finally landed on the nearest building. Some store she really didn't care to know the name of at the moment. They had to be fast or the dogs would catch them before they could create a point of congestion. The redhead pointed using her spear.
"There! Go inside! Find a narrow spot with one entrance; a hallway or a bathroom!" If there managed to be a set of stairs leading to an upper floor, that would be even better: high ground plus a point making the canines go through in lesser numbers.

t was a sight to see. Father and daughter reuniting, scary because the father probably didn’t know what was happening to his daughter so it warmed her heart to see them hugging and so happy. It then took her a moment to think about Tove, what was happening to him? Was he okay? Probably… Of course though, everything that was seeming to go right never held a happy ending. Daniel cut short of his sentence and it was quick to say that they were now in immediate danger. The sound of dogs were heard in the distance and Shiro’s eyes grew wide. She quickly flashed a look of worry towards both of the individuals then the group they had rescued. The second she said to run, Shiro turned and began to run. As she ran, her eyes flashed to look behind her as others came running in her direction to escape the hounds. A rush of adrenaline kicked into the young blonde as she ran, boosting her speed only the slightest. She could hear the male yelling to get everyone out and that was literally what the red-head was doing now. She had one in tow and everyone else was running. Everyone would tire eventually, she knew so. Her own group had been running for quite some time and she even saw the exhaustion plastered on their faces. It hurt her, to see everyone running for their lives and she was not about to let them die. No one else could die… She would not let that happen. With her brows furrowed into a stern look, she took into acknowledgement of what the red-head had said. Quickly, Shiro began to look around of where they were at. She knew the city itself by heart. Tove had taken her plenty of times that she knew twists and turns and building that could help to their advantage. As soon as her eyes landed on the building, Shiro had began to turn, making her way towards it. Honestly, the short blonde didn’t even need to be told by the female to head in their, she did it instinctively. The female entered the building, motioning for everyone else to enter. “Go, Go!” She yelled, watching the individuals fill into the building. The red-head was making a plan and Shiro knew exactly what she was doing. Make it so they have to file in, one by one. Alex and Daniel would be able to atleast kill as many of the hounds as possible but it was also a dangerous game they were playing if something went wrong. Shiro had to prepare to defend the people she had rescued and the others. "Will we be okay?" Shiro questioned as soon as Alex entered if she did so with Daniel following behind if he had followed.

As the mass group of humans ran into the building, they would find a small one story house with only a few rooms. There was a living room, colored blue in the decorations, and adorned with a large TV. Whoever lived here, had a very expensive taste, many of the items in the rooms would be a brand name. The group of humans would be huddled into the house, making it seem smaller and smaller. There would be a galley kitchen, small and long, as it ran across the length of the house. A small bedroom would be at the end, a dinky bathroom attached. It was obvious by the space that only one person had lived in this abode.
As people funneled into the house, crowding into whichever rooms they could; the main party would hear a soft scratching, coming from the other side of the house. The soft scratching would get louder as the barking of the rabid animals got closer. A few had been taken out by gunshots, but there were far too many to count at this point. Slowly they began to circle the house, somehow knowing that there was prey inside, prey that would easily be taken out.
The crowd would watch as these rabid animals that were chasing them had split. One such group was stalking the front (viewable from the living room windows), another the side (viewable from the kitchen windows) and finally the last in the back (viewable from the bedroom windows). All looked vicious and ready to attack at a moment’s notice.
What would the packs do next? That was the question.
