Personality overall
Even back when Star was nothing more than a few lines of code yet to be fully developed into Artificial Intelligence, she could never feel anything negative. In her mind there has never been any sort of sadness, anger, or fear. There is only happiness, variations thereof, or... nothing at all. Why would a entertainment icon need to ever feel down if she didn't have to? Her entire purpose was to keep others happy, and as an android there was simply no need to waste time programming in something so counter productive. It's for a similar reason that she can't feel pain, which has it ups and downs. On one hand, she can keep going for far longer than most others would be able to when injured. On the other, pain exists for a reason in living creatures. It's there to let you know when something has gone wrong, so the problem can be effectively addressed and cared for before it becomes worse. Of course, why would an idol ever need that?
In a typical situation, she usually gives off the impression of an extremely bubbly and charming young woman (if the facial disfigurement can be overlooked). Perhaps she can be a bit eager or pushy when trying to help, but most people can see that she means well by it. Sadly, this surface attitude is really as deep as her programming goes. The two things she wants more than anything are to make others happy, and to be adored by those around her. Unlike most humans however, she doesn't see anything wrong with "shortcuts" as long as in the short term the person is happy. She's the type to actively feed someone's addiction even if it's causing harm, just because it makes them happy.
Even though she knows that negative feelings exist in others, and understand them in theory, she can't really wrap her head around the idea in practice. The sympathy needed to truly connect with another's pain just doesn't exist in her head.

appearance
Star is decently tall, reaching about five foot and seven inches without wearing any sort of heel. From the very beginning her body had been designed with dancing in mind, creating a very trim figure with little to no curves to the silhouette. Her hair is trimmed short around the chin so that it won't impede movement, limbs long and graceful with precise hands at the end. To add a little bit of flair, finger nails were replaced with blinking lights that could flash a variety of colors at her will.
Back when her career was still burning bright, Star had been a true icon of beauty in the world. Delicate auburn hair framed an angelic face, blue eyes practically mesmerizing as they drew you in. These days she's mesmerizing for an entirely different reason.
After failing her job as a bodyguard, her previous owner had ripped at her face in a raging fury. The synthetic skin tore and ripped away from half of her face, giving full view to the metallic musculature that laid underneath. The tear starts just over her right eye, going diagonally across the bridge of her nose and leaving only a corner of her mouth covered with false flesh. The metal under workings continue exposed down the length of her throat, only to be covered again with skin at the collarbone.
Fashion
Casual Wear: Usually loose fitting long-sleeved tops, paired with bottoms that are easy to move in (such as leggings or shorts). Her favorite color scheme is usually dark blacks, with one obnoxiously bright and colorful article that brings the whole look together. The light-up nails usually end up color-coordinated with this look, but she can light them up different colors at will.
Work: When working the bar for the night, Star mostly keeps it the same as her casual look. The main difference is that she swaps out the usually bottoms for some nice slacks, seeing as she's not supposed to be dancing that night. When working the pole? Well, there are certain themes you have to follow honey. The only consistent piece is an elegant porcelain mask, given to her by Aunt Harriet in hopes to keep her facial deformities from ruining a good show.
Formal: It's time to pull out the colorful outfits of her celebrity days, because Star knows how to make a lasting impression. Sparkling dresses, short skirts, and a specially designed lipstick that change color with her flashing nails are only some of what her wardrobe holds. She knows how to make herself drop dead gorgeous with the right accessories, at least from the neck down these days.

biography
Back when she was first created, there had only ever been one purpose for S.T.A.R. to fulfill. She had been made for the entertainment of humans, and only ever that. The android would grin, dance, crack a joke or two, sing, and make everyone within earshot fall in love with loving her. Paired up with another android named Cherish, the duo climbed their way up the charts quicker than anyone could imagine, relentless charm wrapping the crowds around their little fingers. Cherish and Star were in love. Of course they were. The two girls had been made together, designed to be partners, designed to make others happy with their own happiness. They certainly had the performances down to an art, but how could they seem more "real" and relatable in interviews? People always adored a lovey-dovey couple after all, and their programmers knew that.
For fifteen solid years, Cherish and Star completely dominated the entertainment industry. They never tired, never grew old, never complained, and never made a scene in front of the press. Honestly most people expected the two girls to be celebrities for decades on decades, evolving with the times and being a constant companion into the future.
During their sixteenth year, Cherish was killed. No, can an android be killed if it was never alive? Maybe broken in a better word for what happened to her. The pair had been in an interview with a widely regarded talk-show host, who happened to be very vocal about his distaste for magi. The relocation camps had only been broken out of half a year ago, and the topic still rallied on as the genocide slowed down to a trickle. Nearing the end of the show, they were attacked. Then again maybe attacked wasn't the right word either, given the assaulter's actual actions. It was just a single water magi, probably not even out of high school yet, who'd stupidly decided he had enough. He threw as much liquid as he could at the group as they walked out, just a simple act of protest meant to dowse the host with water.
The water missed its intended target. As it turned out, the two androids have always been pretty vulnerable to getting liquid in their systems. They'd never been made with that sort of environment in mind, and with such a great force of water hitting one straight on at her head... Cherish fell, and didn't get up. Her systems were fried, memories lost, and Star was left all alone.
She wasn't sad, of course. She couldn't be sad, even if she wanted to. Suddenly Star potential was a solo act, which didn't end up working out well. There was the fact that her act didn't quite match up anymore of course, but there was something even more than that. The world saw Star after her love's death, dancing and taking interviews as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Hadn't they been in love? Wasn't she effected at all? Suddenly it was so obviously apparent that the truth everyone had become willing to ignore was still there. Star was a robot, not a human. Her popularity dropped into the negatives, the company eventually deciding it was time for the act to retire.
At the auction where she was to be sold, someone unexpected showed up. Evan Jerifield had been the lead programmer of Star's AI, and knowing what she could do he laid down enough cash to take her as his property. As an important member of the robotics community, as well as openly anti-magi, Mr. Jerifield felt himself and his daughter would be much safer with a bodyguard around. He knew Star's specs, knew her strengths, and decided that she would be perfect for protecting either of them from those awful magic users. Downloading the basics of taekwondo into her files, going from dancing to fighting couldn't have been easier.
Even so, year into the job Star failed her duty. She'd been escorting the daughter of the family, a woman just out of college, home from the library when a mysterious figure came out from behind a corner. Her systems shut down out of nowhere only a few moments later, presumably the work of a very skilled hacker. She only woke up again to the face of a furious and sobbing Mr. Jerifield, holding her body aloft by the front of her shirt. According to him, his daughter had been attacked by a magi and murdered. Star hadn't been able to protect her, and she was a worthless piece of trash. In a rage he tore at her face and peeled away the synthetic skin, slamming her head against the wall until her processors slowed to a halt completely.
(In truth, Evan had been lying through his teeth. His daughter had been hiding the fact that she had inherited her magi mother's power, and had been tracked down and killed by a hunter.)
It wasn't for a long time that she woke up again. Months? Years? The next thing she knew, Star was waking up on a rusty table that sat inside an apartment in Dagos. An older woman with a knack for robotics had repaired her circuitry, though new synthetic skin had costed too much to acquire. When asked for a name she insisted that everyone only calls her Aunt Harriet, refusing to give any other identification. Aunt Harriet offered a place to live, a purpose to serve, and people to make happy. She took Star in as her new owner, giving her a job at the business downstairs.
Honestly, to Star being a stripper wasn't that different from when she'd been a celebrity. The dingy club was smaller than the stadiums she used to fill, but the feeling of all eyes on her was a familiar one. She always reveled in the attention, putting her all into a performance behind the porcelain mask used to hide her deformed face.
On any evening where Aunt Harriet didn't have her working the pole, Star can usually be found acting as bartender to any of the customers around. She's downloaded a whole library of drink recipes into her brain, and also acts as a middleman to peddle off some additional "product" Aunt Harriet acquires. Drugs are serious business after all, and Star doesn't mind being the one taken accountable if someone tries to shut down their business. She lives to make others happy, and has gotten more than a few depressed customers hooked on various substances through this mindset.
