| THE DEAD WALK AMONG US. Well some of them are walking. Others are hobbling, limping, crawling, or flailing helplessly while unable to get back up off their back.
Most Camlorn citizens are hiding indoors out of justified fear. The town's smaller police force are frantically attempting to protect their civilians. When this newest wave of undead entered the town, the rumors were proven to be true. In regards to where you are at the time the emergency sirens began blaring in response to the invasion, you find yourself next to two other people. Seems like surviving the current situation would be easier if you worked together.
OOC ☠ You may write for npc characters in this event. If you want to keep a lost child safe for instance to spice up your thread, you have permission.
☠ It is up to the first poster to set the scene. Are you outside running towards the siren to see how you can help? Are you inside a building trying to keep the swarm from entering and harming npc human civilians inside? etc etc, up to you.
☠ Each member is allowed 48 full hours to reply when it becomes their turn. After two days have past, the next person in line is allowed to respond.
☠ A staff member through out the event may post random occurrences to throw you guys a curve ball.
☠ The undead in this event can be categorized under the classification "roamer". Their souls have moved on and their brains are most likely decayed so there's no memory or basic logic that you can expect from these guys. If they hear sound in one direction, they will follow that lead. They do not use tools such as a rock to break a window, they will merely slam themselves against it. If there's a target on the other side of a broken bridge they will walk off the bridge until there's enough of a pile to possibly get across. (For the sake of the event, consider these to be a reoccurring spawn of sorts; the event will end when the staff post that all the bodies drop)
☠ If you get bit there is no spreading of zombie-ness. These undead are the work of a necromancer's magic, not a virus. They are entering from outside the town inwards, seeming to be searching for the one who summoned them. Cemeteries, morgues, the mass burial ground of magi from the nearest etc, The older an undead, the slower they move. For instance, a body of a recently deceased person from a hospital will be able to run while the body of a 187 year old corpse will be jauntily hobbling at best.

Stuck on top of a truck close to several shops and a grocery store. Surrounded by a swarm of the undead no solid way out for the Android... How did this happen? Much earlier Umbrage had been traveling by bus with a small squad of eight hunters to tackle the heart of an undead problem. Umbrage was there because the source of the zombies was likely magic, the paranoia of a bite being infectious was still relevant in humans. Umbrage has even seen the many movies thanks to her caretaker, Case, but she often just laughs throughout the movie. Looking around her she can see a few of the team already shaking in their boots... It wouldn't do them good if any of them started to panick. However infection wasn't the worse possibility... The worse possibility for the humans was getting caught alone... From the methods of zombies she's seen in movies. They usually bite and boom another person is a zombie. Although when one person was caught by a group... Well piece by piece a human was deconstructed. Those were the only moments she didn't laugh. She already had her own fears of being torn apart in such a similar manner. Passing by a grocery store to suddenly feel a hard stop as a few of the squad tumbled to the floor. "Why the hell did we dtop!" the squad leader questioned the driver as the driver can away from the front of the bus. The group could hear few loud thuds that suddenly got faster in pace. Looking outside they had encounter a small horde...enough to cover the street, but Umbrage only noticed the screams only moments after the bus driver has ran to the back. On his panick he had opened the emergency back door as a means of escape. Moments after popping out He was tackled by two bloodied individuals who wasted. No time tearing him apart. The instinct of one of the Hunters was to fire his gun and kill the two things that looked human... It was too late as they saw the former driver convulse on the ground as blood spurred from his body. With their attention drawn to that point they didn't realize how close they were to being surrounded until it was too late. One of the undead broke the glass of the side door. As a few more came around back. Attempting to go after the meal trapped in a God just for them... This was bad they were stuck in a bus and with how close together everyone was only made it harder to fight. The Android had to think quickly as she looked up to the last direction of escape. Popping open the emergency exit on the ceiling she climbs out holding her hand down for each of the squadmate. Pulling each of them up to safety one at a time. Until it came to the last two. Their horror was only starting to set in as shots to the head only slowed down a majority of them. Both of them were to scared to stop shooting nearly back to back. Damn it... Isabelle couldn't let them die. Jumping back down into the truck. She grabs them one of them by their. Collar and coat tails and throws them up onto the roof of the bus. Her first success rewarded her with a face to face. With a human look monster that attrmoted to bite her forearm. Grabbing the creatures neck she doesn't hesitate to break it as it fell limp to the ground. Kicking the neck one away to give herself some breath space. Turning around to see the last member being bitten on his forearm. She rushed to his aide, pulling the zombie away as she throws him up through the Edit immediately before the rest of the creatures could swarm him. This only costed her precious time as they started to grip her with strength beyond the average human... Umbrage already knew without their minds pain restriction stopping them they would have strength akin to the average Android. Dropping a flash bomb, Umbrage struggles to reach the top of the bus with a few of the undead clinging to her heels. However the squad was unwilling to let their savoir be dragged down as they shot at the corpses repeatedly until they released their grip of umbrage. Now the only matter left... Was to get out of the middle of this swarm. Isabelle was quick to over her Android analysis to the group stating she had an idea for getting the whole team but herself out of this situation. "Which is?" the squad leader questioned showing his wariness of the answer. "Well I'll just throw each of you to the roof of the grocery store." the squad started to argue this until she pickrd up one of them and prompted them to Brace for the drop. Throwing him over to the roof as he has a rough landing. This repeated until she came to the man that was bitten reassuring him he wouldn't change into one of the undead before throwing him to the roof of the store. The squad didn't have the means to eliminate this swarm as most of the ammo and resupply they would need was in the cargo of the truck. Along with her axe being there as well. This left umbrage with only her knives and variety of non-lethal bombs. Well time to twiddle her thumbs and wait for an opening as she decided to mark the top of bus with her knife. Looking around she did her best to keep the undead and their attention on herself. Giving the opportunity for those trapped to escape. ( Daniel Caim @millytank) OOC: that took a while to write. Daniel shouldered his way through the door and turned to present his revolver to the encroaching dead. From the sounds coming down the street, there was a much larger horde of the things nearby; in fact, he could look briefly over his shoulder and see them outside the storefront windows of the building he’d crashed into. He returned his attention to the problem at hand, which manifested in the form of several shambling corpses moving in his direction. He’d been lucky to encounter such a small group, barely more than two dozen of the things. He fired into the group with a pair of explosive rounds. Two of the roamers exploded into a rain of giblets and gristle while the rest were knocked to their feet by the force of the blast. That gave him the time he needed to run further in without further molestation. He didn’t bother to waste time closing the entrance because of the simple fact that he’d seen them tear similar obstacles down in mere moments. It would’ve been better to just focus on slaying as many of them as possible to help fill the gap with corpses that didn’t keep moving; not that he could due to being low enough on ammunition already. Most of his other handguns were completely spent and he only ever carried a few speedloaders for Black Hammer. He would need to find supplies soon or risk having to resort to closed quarters combat. He kicked in a door that led to a stairwell leading to the top of the building and started to climb, firing into the ceiling and filling the area behind him with rubble. At the top of the stairs, he opened the door granting access to the roof before using the blunt end of his revolver to disable the handle. Free for the moment, Daniel ran to the edge to take stock of his situation. Hundreds of walking corpses filled the street below with a putrid stench that set him on edge. A bus with Hunter Guild markings stood in the middle of the throng. To the rear of the bus was… something Daniel averted his eyes from almost immediately. Instead, he focused on the person sitting atop of the transport and gave a sharp whistle and a wave of his free hand to attract her attention. @millytank l Umbrage (OOC: Basically, Daniel managed to find a back entrance to a shop that was mostly clear of zombies that's in the same general area as Umbrage and her team.)

The Blue Ranger Your friendly neighbor [attr="class","derm"] TAG: Umbrage Daniel Caim NOTES:For a quick summary, Sileria just so happens to be in Camlorn doing an escort job till things went horribly wrong. She was the one that cleared the grocery store earlier and is in the huge hardware store 5 blocks away from it. She is currently helping herself to some equipment that she can use as alternative weapons. Her drone Ortensia is hidden from sight but has identified a wave of zekes coming towards the grocery store. She’s out doing a job that involves protecting the client’s relatives from danger. According to the client, a farseer predicted that Camlorn would fall under chaos. Camlorn was primarily known for its strange occurrences, but the words of the Farseer were unsettling to the client.
A few hours ago
She met the client in Felici city at two in the morning at the assigned place. The vehicle that they are to use is a van that would carry at least four passengers and some luggage.
Sileria took the wheel with the client sitting right beside her.
“Can I trust you?” The client asked. “You can” was her answer and thus the vehicle drove out of the garage and into the streets, making its way towards the long highway.
It was supposed to be a simple escort mission, Sileria acting as the family’s bodyguard for the entire roundtrip. As she and the client was about to enter town, citizens were already running around, screaming in terror as corpses began to rise and attack civilians.
Sileria opened the car window, drew her pistol and shot the zombie right between the eyes; another option was to simply run them over using the van. This was the first wave of undead that would have hit the town. The client started to shiver, worried about his relatives and without a moment to lose, Sileria floored it and drove towards their destination. When the van made a full stop, the client exited the van and ran towards the building where his relatives are.
A zombie was about to jump at him when Sileria shot it down. The client didn’t seem to care what happened as he was more concerned with the welfare of his family.
“Identify targets!” Sileria ordered her drone Ortensia as the small drone flew up at a high altitude, overseeing the chaos from a bird’s eye view. As a result, Sileria’s eyepatch covered her right eye, gaining vision of what Ortensia sees. Ortensia only flew up so high to at least cover the entire sector Sileria was in.
“Damn, my ammo reserves have reached below fifty percent, I need alternative weapons.” Sileria was running towards the streets, there were cars littered around the streets and the sidewalks, a few small fires were made due to the electrical bursting into flames.
“There’s a Hardware store 5 blocks from you, high possibility of efficient power tools present” ortensia reported.
“Copy that, I have my destination” Sileria replied as she entered the grocery store. There were a few corpses inside and they were all walking towards Sileria. Instead of drawing her gun, she grabbed a pair of kitchen knives and started throwing them right at the walking dead. From each fallen foe, she pulled the kitchen knives out of the heads of the zombies and repeated the process until the grocery store was clear and that she proceeded to move on.
Next she was cutting through what appears to be an eletronics store where Televisions, Radio were being sold. A corpse was running towards Sileria from behind as she opened the door.
Sileria didn’t even need to turn her head; she flung a dagger right at the corpse, hitting its mark. Sileria closed the door and locked it. A few more zombies broke through the display glass and swarmed in, their numbers were trimmed as Sileria unloaded all the knives she has in her arsenal and started to bash their heads with Televisions.
As it seems more were coming, Sileria exited the electronics store from the back, crossing the street to end up in front of the huge hardware store. Since there was a roll up, Sileria had to find another way in.
“Ortensia, find me a route into this building!” Sileria ordered.
“At 15 meters to your right, turn right into their loading bay that remains open, the only obstacle is the huge metal fence” Ortensia reported.
Sileria ran towards the direction where the loading bay could be which was protected by a huge metal fence with barb wires on top. Sileria looked around only to notice a nearby apartment building, if she could jump from the highest point in the building down to the loading bay, she can enter the hardware store and resupply herself with alternate weapons.
She ran and entered the apartment building until she found a second floor window that would lead her to the loading bay if she jumped. It doesn’t seem as if there are any walking corpses in the area. She backed herself towards a wall and ran, jumping off the window and landing on the truck, rolling as she lands. She dropped off from the truck and headed inside the hardware store.
When she came in, there were shelves and cases, stacked with construction equipment and power tools. There were crowbars, wrenches, fireaxes, sledgehammers, Fubars, drills and nailguns. Though these were simply meant as tools for maintenance, they would make good alternate weapons.
The hardware store was an ammo saver, Sileria grabbed the nail gun, a crowbar and a few stacks of nails. Now that she’s fully armed, she’s ready to get to the bottom of this mess. With Ortensia in the air, she was granted vision of the entire sector she’s in despite the fact that she is inside.
A bus came by and crashed near the grocery store she just passed. It was carrying a team of hunters and soldiers and by the looks of it they drove themselves into hell. Having witnessed a cyborg helping each member off the bus and into the roof of the grocery store, Sileria ordered the drone to stay out of sight while keeping an eye on Hunter personnel.
The team of hunters alone was making too much noise and it seems the walkers and runners are all converging towards the grocery store.
They need to get out of there before they are overrun.

Sitting still on top of the bus it took only a moment or two for the team to talk to her through comms. "Umbrage... It appears we have a means of escape, however we have yet to complete our objective of evacuating the last of the civilians. Out current orders are to locate and round up the last of the locals... However most of our munitions are still within that bus." he reported to her. Looking down at the small horde that surrounded her. It was rather a troublesome task. Especially since there is more than enough of them to literally tear her apart. "Problem about that boss... I'm sure these things would kill me... He'll even a bullet proof cyborg can still be ripped limb by limb from these things." Umbrage states not willing to risk a sure defeat for her teams survival. After all she had people to go home to the same as them. "In well aware I'm the threat around you, but right now you have to listen... We'll draw their attention into the grocery store. Once they've cleared out grab what we need." Umbrage accepted the order for now. Looking around her as she heard a whistle from not too far off. Turning to the source of the sound to hear gunshots coming from the store. She gave a quick wave to the individual. Updating the team about the civilian. With the horse crashing their way into the store it left a lot more breathing room for the cyborg to operate. Once the last of them cleared the luggage side of the bus umbrage jumped down. As she dragged the munitions our of the bus and grabbed her axe. The shaft of the axe elongated allowing her to get a form grip of it. "I'm moving to ki-" she was inturruptes by the officer. "No move to secure civilians into the bus. We'll distract them for as long as we can. Just toss the munitions to the roof." Umbrage gave a strong affirmative as she ran close enough to throw the bags to the roof. Now all that was left was to secure the first civilian that whistled to her. Umbrage ran off as she saw two zombies far off from the . Giving them a good test swing to see if they would splatter across the wall. Feeling satisfied with those kills she runs off into an alley just next to the man that whistled. Calling up to him "Hey jump down I'll catch you." trying to rush as she saw a few roamees start to follow her into the alley. Daniel Caim@millytank

Daniel watched the cyborg (he more or less knew because some of those feats she just displayed would be damn hard for anything else) as she cleared the bus of a duffel full of what he guessed were munitions, tossed them to a team of hunters on an adjacent rooftop, and splattered two zombies with an axe. Now, she was standing below him telling him to jump and adding assurances that she would catch him. Normally such a request would’ve been laughed off, but the sound of hands beating against the door leading to his position quickly gave it some merit worth thinking on. Then, the lock gave away and jumping suddenly seemed like the best idea he had all day. Holstering Black Hammer, he took a second to plot his course downward with care and merely stepped off the edge. If he landed safely, he would look up at the cyborg that caught him and offer a thumbs up. If not, it would all depend on how he landed and how much damage he took from the fall. He’d be able to walk off a sprained ankle or something similar. Anything much more severe and… well, at least he had enough ammunition for that possibility. In either case, he would say, “You might wanna move, ‘cause there’s gonna be company from up top pretty soon.” As if on cue, the first zombie would pursue him over the edge seconds later and smash wetly to the ground. Other’s would follow, most wouldn’t get up. Umbrage l @millytank

Sileria of course was standing guard by the entrance with a handgun.
“Ortensia, fly up and scan for a safe route to drive out of here” Sileria ordered. “Scan complete, visual signals indicate that the corpses are being drawn towards the local police, sensors indicate movement along the south side and are heading towards your position” Ortensia reported.
As the family burst out, Sileria rushed to open the van and helped the family board. A horde of zombies were coming and it may seem impossible to drive without fending them off first. Sileria gave the client directions to a safe route out of the city.
“Go on without me, I’ll be fine!” She shouted as she drew her handgun and shot down two of the zombies that were about to reach the van. Without haste, the van drove with prayers that they would make it out of the city alive.
A few runners were making their way towards Sileria and without fear; she walked onwards and pointed her guns.
The horde of corpses is at them and if Sileria were to leave them alone, they’d either be torn apart or devoured. Of course Sileria was in the hardware store looking for suitable nails to load into the two nail guns she just found, her right eye was connected to Ortensia who is currently viewing the situation.
As she was grabbing a huge gasoline canister, activity up by the grocery store heated up. The first wave of zombies have arrived, the first wave came from the direction where the bus had drove by and another north of their position.
Ortensia tapped into their comms, allowing Sileria to hear their entire conversation.
“I see the situation now, they were an extraction team tasked to secure the civies to a safer place but their gunshots are drawing too much attention, even though they had dug in. Ortensia, fly up and scan for any civilians in this sector” Sileria ordered
“There’s a group of civilians near the gas station, 2 blocks away from the hardware store and 6 blocks away from the grocery store” Ortensia reported, she zoomed in only to display to Sileria the image of the same van parked near the gas station with a flat tire. Sileria oiled the wire and wrapped it around herself, grabbing four nails and a canister of gas, she ascended up to the roof of the hardware store. "Ortensia, carry this gas cannister, drop when I say.”
Ortensia hovered over towards the hardware store to receive the gas cannister, drawing a hook for it to hold on to. She jumped off the roof of the hardware store and began her advance, heading back towards the grocery store to reinforce them. Having Ortensia locked onto their communications channel, Sileria spoke:
“This is Lt. Rhea of the local Camlorn police, Strike leader do you copy? I have you on visual, respond over!” Sileria advanced as she started shooting nails at the incoming corpses. There were a lot of them; some even ran after Sileria only for her to use the abandoned vehicles as higher ground, keeping the zombies off her at arm’s length.
Continued response if ever: “There’s a Gasoline station a block away from you, I request your cooperation as there are civilians in that area!” Ortensia flew away, having acknowledged Sileria’s order to parts unknown.
“Sensors indicate that you are drawing more corpses towards your location, in about 5 minutes, your area will be overrun and all routes of escape will be cut off, I will clear a path for you if you can lure the corpses over to the gasoline station and extract the last of the civilians in this sector. UNDERSTAND we don’t have a lot of options, scanners indicate that the area will be swarming with them!”

Waiting for the individual to drop down was rather... Excruciating. As the subject seemed to take their time in just trying to decide whether or not to jump. Umbrage was just about to leave before he made the jump. Catching him with ease as the calculations it took to accurately intercept his call wasn't too hard. Having him in the bridal carry position didn't phase her as it was the most optimal way to catch him. Once she was sure he was safe she dropped him onto the ground. Walking back out on the street with her axe at the ready. Peering between each corner to see another zombie walking in the direction of the grocery store. Waiting for a moment to grasp his his neck and grip tight as there was a loud crack coming from the creature neck. "Umbrage, your status?" she heard over the comms as she lead the survivor across the street. "Found a singular survivor... From the looks of it the bus seems to be compromised... I doubt it would be of use as a means of escape." she said out loud. Suddenly there was a new voice coming from the comms. As the newcomer introduced themselves as camlorn police. If the survivors were at the gas station. Then that's where she should head, but her team may need her assistance. "Roger that, I'll have my squad move immediately. We'll make our way across the opening. Umbrage intercept the survivors while we guide the corpse party to the station." Isabelle didn't find the plan to suit the situation. One of them was wounded last time she checked and they would be moving much more slowly. "Negative... I'll send the survivor to intercept the group. I'll move into create a bigger opening." Turning to the survivor she tells him. "There are survivors at the gas station not far from here. Head there and guide as many of them out as you can. I got to save my team." Running through an alley killing any threats with ease with her axe until she made it to the street that lead to the gas station. Facing the growing horde she grabs her flash bombs ready for use. "On the count of three... The majority of the undead will be temporarily blinded. One... Two... Three." throwing a few flash bombs and quickly activating her thermal vision to see the corpses... Quite many of them had a faint red glow in their stomachs... Umbrage started making swings at the outer edge of the horde slowly backing away at each swing. With her large axe and enhanced strength she had more than enough space to work with as her swings could easily manage to hit everything surrounding her. Daniel Caim@millytank

“Survivors in the gas station, got it,” Daniel said. The thought that he was glad to be on this one’s side rather than on the business end of her axe struck him when she snapped a zombie’s neck like a twig. Then, she took out a clutch of flashbangs and explained her plan. Good, he wouldn’t have to waste any ammo fighting free of the horde.
One… Two… Three.
Daniel shielded his eyes with his forearms to prevent being blinded by the light. When the initial blast dissipated, the hunter sprinted with all he had past the staggering, blinded undead and only stopped to gun down the ones that directly barred his way. He was being frugal with his ammunition now, sparring the explosive-tipped rounds for when he needed them most and using mundane rounds in their place. It would be irrelevant with the cyborg wreaking havoc among the dead anyway. Too bad that the bus was already swarming with the things; he could use a few more clips and rounds for his revolvers. As it stood though, he would be able to guide a few civilians out of trouble.
He picked his way through a street jammed with abandoned automobiles. With most of the undead concentrated on the cyborg and her squad, the way forward was easy enough. A fresh body would pick itself up occasionally and run at him screaming and howling. Quick displays of marksmanship were enough to put them back on the ground. Eventually, the gas station came within sight. With barely a block between himself and his objective, he could clearly grasp the situation at hand.
A defunct van was parked haphazardly outside the main building and just beyond it was a group of about a dozen or so roaming corpses trying to force their way in. Daniel sighted down the first two and opened fire, dropping both. The rest turned around a lumbered, ran, or otherwise made their way towards him. The fastest were the first to drop, followed by the rest. When the area was clear, he made his way into the store by creating an opening in a window with his weapons. He almost caught a face full of shotgun pellets when a man aimed tried to shoot him down from pointblank range. A gun kata demonstration saw the weapon yanked from his hands and pointed in his direction.
“And here I was thinkin’ that you’d be happy to see somethin’ alive for a change,” Daniel said.

WORDS: 524 [newclass=.derm]background-image:url(https://s12.postimg.org/4v94hal9p/image.png);color:transparent;height:450px;width:150px;opacity:.9;overflow:hidden;-webkit-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s; -moz-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;-ms-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;-o-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;[/newclass] [newclass=.derm:hover]height:450px;opacity:.6;overflow:auto;-webkit-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s; -moz-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;-ms-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;-o-transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;transition:height .8s ease, opacity 1.5s ease, overflow 1s ease .8s;color:white;[/newclass] Firing on all fours, she jumped from vehicle to vehicle until one of her nail guns ran out of ammo. Now that it has fulfilled its purposes, its discarded, thrown right at one corpse. She still has her pistol and the oiled wire with her. It seems she cannot pass by the grocery store as a huge wave of zombies had already arrived. Everyone seems to be doing their part, Sileria was lagging behind and had no time to hesitate. There are four intersections surrounding the gas station and only one of them is their ticket out of here before the entire sector is overrun, Sileria praying that her client and his family would make it out in time. She rushed passed to the alleyway and jumped up from wall to wall, elevating up over the steel fence that divides the alleyways and landing down forward. Such luck that there aren’t any zombies around, Ortensia is currently circling around to survey the entire area, this plan will work and nobody in the bus or the strike team will have to get hurt. The corpse party must arrive at the Gas station and only one road must be clear where their route will be, now it’s a matter of defending the gas station and with the right timing, it will eliminate most of the undead horde in this sector. Daniel Caim arrived just in time, saving the people who holed up in the Gas station; they would be the last of the civilians in the area. Sileria showed herself raising her arms to alert both Caim and the Strike Leader that she is the Camlorn Police cyborg. “I’m guessing you are aware of what I’m trying to do here, there’s a clean road free from obstacles aside from the corpses, it leads to the residential districts, and turn left at the end of the road and you will arrive at the highway in a few minutes. The roads will be temporarily blocked, get the bus in position and I will have the route cleared.”They really had no choice, Sileria didn’t wanted this but this was the best course of action, they were all running out of ammo and they need to trim down the undead to make the job easier for the containment teams when they arrive… or if they arrive for that matter. It was convenient that the client’s van had a powerful horn, it was load enough for all to hear and it would lure all the corpses here. They will have to defend themselves and spend all their ammo, making enough noise for the horde to assemble and up to this point Ortensia is still carrying the payload. The Last nailgun was spent and she has resorted to use her pistol. “Citizens are top priority; you are to leave me the moment the route is cleared.” Sileria was setting up the wire all over the place, it was understood that the camlorn cyborg was expendable and is willing to go sacrifice themselves just for the safety of the citizens, that’s how loyal they are to the system. "Make every shot count!"

The plan worked well with no real deaths. Once the squad leader and the team made it through Umbrage began backing off as they opened fire. Moving herself to kill off any of the undead that got too close to her squad or were just in the blind spots of her team. With the squad close by she had her thermals deactivated. Soon the horde started to grow as they backed further and further to the gas station. As they had to slow down their advancement for as long as possible. Soon though each member of the squad ran out of ammo and began to retreat back to the gas station the squad leader made sure to save three bullets before hearing the officers statement. "Alright Umbrage its time to pull out.... Hey are you listening to me?" he said as he was about to run, but turned and stopped once he saw umbrage still engaged with the undead threat. "Don't worry boss man I'll provide an exit route for the officer." She said with an eager smile keeping a wary eye as she swung her axe around herself breaking the many undead bones with a simple swing. The officer sighed as he reminded Umbrage to retain radio contact as she was already an expensive asset before running off to the base. Activating her comms she tries to speak to this officer that had assisted her team. "Umbrage here, I'll open up an escape route amongst the dead. Just notify me the moment you need it." she kept her movements simple and conservative not trying to show off or even risk herself more than necessary with some flashy moves. Survival was the goal as she and everyone else had a home to go back to, however the horde was focuss on her now. Having to back away faster as well as swing more frequently "better hurry or I may have to leave you behind..." She said on comms knowing she would have to make the opening whether the girl was ready or not. "I'm making you a path now!" she made a strong swing to ready her stance. This cleared the undead that may have been behind her as she used her thrusters to help her throw her axe killing a crowd of undead. Now she was only armed with her combat knives and assorted throwing weapons. Steadily making her own retreat back to the gas station. Daniel Caim@millytank

Daniel glared menacingly at the man that tried to blast his features apart. The shotgun in his hands added a yet another level of malevolence to the expression and caused the man to back down. “Alrighty then, you’ve still got some sense to ya. No sit down, shut up, and let the big dogs handle this.” The order was met with compliance just as all hell broke loose. The fireteam of hunters engaged the zombies with everything they had as they made a fighting retreat to help slow down the horde. The demonstrated a reasonably high level of discipline in the maneuver, which garnered an appreciative smile from the ex-hunter. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that his old employer was still keeping someone with some tactical knowhow around. As much as he hated what the guild had become, it still served its purpose of keeping the more dangerous magi from running rampant. Yet another cyborg showed herself and waved him down as she explained her plan. Daniel nodded his approval; it was a good plan that might actually get them out of this mess. When the squad and their cyborg attaché arrived, Daniel lent his own brand of help in the form of explosive round fired from Black Hammer into the horde. Fire and concussive waves tore massive holes into the encroaching press of bodies. “Whatever the plan is, it better get to happenin’ fast, ‘cause this ain’t the best place to be right now." @millytank | Umbrage

Umbrage was successfully in clearing a path for Sileria ahead as both cyborgs and the extraction team made it to the gas station. She did not hesitate to pull out the oiled wire and run towards the station, relieved to see that Daniel had already saved her client. The bus was moved back and everyone is in place, now all that is needed is to get everyone out of here. “Board the bus, I shall detonate the tanks once you drive out of this block” she said as she connected the wire to each inflammable tank that would set off an inferno around the area. Daniel’s suppression with explosives won’t last, a wave of runners and crawlers are now heading to the gas station. The route for the bus to take was blocked and by the looks of it, luck would be against them. “You are to leave me here” she said. “Whatever happens, you must defend the humans” she motioned to Umbrage as she finished wiring all the inflammables. She walked over to the client’s van and started honking the horn which was the signal for the bus to leave immediately. Of course the escape route was blocked but this is precisely why Ortensia was hovering over the block. The drone was carrying a primed explosive, it dropped the payload down on the route filled with zombies and cleared most of them, providing the bus a way out of here. Sileria is still honking the horn, drawing the undead’s attention away from the bus, she drew a lighter from the van’s driver seat and set the oiled wire on fire, by the time the bus would leave the block, Sileria would have climbed up on the roof of the gas station, as crawlers and runners were to come up at her. "Objective Achieved" Those were her last words before the gas station exploded, incinerating everything on the block. Sileria would be gone. The client’s daughter was to look over the scene, asking if the blue ranger would be coming back safe. The client has no answer to that it was certain that nobody would survive the blast nor she’d make it out in time. If anyone tries to get her to join in on the bus“I refuse, my objective is the safety of civilians, all threats have to be eliminated as much as possible, perform your duty as I shall perform my own”"If you stand in my way, you won't be standing long" and Sileria meant every word of it, for that if they were to stay with her, she cannot guarantee their own safety. There was no time to argue, time is running out and Sileria's choice was clear.

Umbrage was feeling a bit pumped the job was going rather well as nothing stopped them so far. Reaching the other civilian she had saved she gives him an eager wave. "Good, You're still alive. The least casualties the better." She chuckles a bit as so far only one of her team has died. "The job isn't done yet Umbrage!" Her handler spoke in response. She scratches the back of her head as the other cyborg arrives. Once the officer had explained her plan the captain handed the officer his pistol. "We've already used up our ammo and we have enough hand to hand training to be able to take down any stragglers. There should be four shots left in that pistol make them count." He said before motioning for the rest of the squad to follow as they would take the safest route to the bus. Escorting what citizens were left with them... Isabelle felt off leaving the girl here... prioritizing the lives of others over her own isn't wrong, but the way she phrased it irked her. Like she didn't consider herself human... "Sir I'll be staying behind to ensure her escape route." The captain of the hunters was about to object but knew he couldn't do or say anything to stop her already and proceeded to leave. Umbrage approached about to say something to her, but was cut off once Sileria had spoken. "Heh you can't really guarantee your own safety being here alone. I mean if the objective is to save all the humans. Then you're in that boat as well." It wasn't hard to spot was was real and what was synthetic about this girl. Pulling her bag around she grabs several knives and bombs placing them in the appropriate coat pockets before they would begin this girls plan. "Consider me your means of escape then if you're worried about me. I'm stronger and faster than you. So I'm sure I can carry you as well as lead us out of here so long as you keep me safe!" Umbrage gave her a smile she didn't like the idea of dying or leaving someone to die for her. If anything were to happen to this girl Isabelle wasn't sure if she could forgive herself if she let this girl die when she could had helped. However as Sileria seemed resolute to stay Umbrage sighed as she turned around prepared to follow the others. "Just know that if you don't fight for your own survival till the very end dying is meaningless." Umbrage said before rushing back to catch up with the others. Daniel Caim @millytank

Daniel did his best to support the retreat while still keeping a close eye on his expenditure of ammunition. Calmly, he counted down each round fired and removed them from his mental. Twenty-four. Twenty-three. Twenty-two. Twenty-one. Twenty. Nineteen. Eighteen. A reload broke the steady, rhythmic thumping of detonations; lending support would no longer be an option if any of them wanted to survive this. He looked back to the hoard and made a valiant attempt to determine their numbers. He stopped somewhere in the upper fifties and he still hadn’t even taken a tenth of their numbers into account. Those were long odds that the ex-hunter could stomach.
He was about to board the bus and hop into the driver’s seat when both of the cyborgs decided that they would remain outside. One was apparently attempting to convince the other to escape with the “humans”, but the other seemed resolved to sacrifice herself for the group. How noble of her; now if only they would decide whether or not _both_ of them were staying.
“She’s not stayin’ to die, kid. She’s stayin’ to fight so we have a chance.” There was a difference between wasting lives and spending them; spending a life for the greater whole was acceptable whereas wasting them for anything less was not. Daniel understood that much and so did the squad leader. Only one person needed to stay behind to ignite the canisters; anyone else would be wasted. Daniel nodded grimly as the attaché boarded. He closed the doors and turned the key before speeding away at an acceptable quick pace. He didn't so much as flinch when he heard the explosion, instead choosing to focus on the road.
