Luca is a young, skittish Magi who spends much of his time on the move. He works as a healer, and can most frequently be found in Dagos, or the Outlands, although if he must, he might stray into Felici as well. |
FRIENDS Friends? What are those? While he'd love to have friends, he has quite a bit of trouble making and keeping them. Between moving around as much as he does, and being terribly awkward in certain social settings, it can be hard. Patience is key, and simply treating him well will get you quite far with Luca. Any who are interested are welcome to try, but it may take some work. ENEMIES Oh, you're a Hunter? Expect lots of stony or awkward silences, and maybe a few dull glares when he thinks you aren't looking. Blatantly prejudiced people will often receive similar treatment. But, let's face it, Luca is kind of easy to push around, and dislikes conflict and violence as a whole. He's not really going to intentionally go looking for fights, or enemies, at all. Unfortunately, trouble will probably find him anyway LOVERS Romance... Oh... oh dear. Luca wouldn't mind a romance in theory, but given his lack of experience and general nervousness about such things, it may be difficult to establish one. Having never been in love, or loved by another (no, his parents don't count here), he tends not to expect people to be interested in a relationship with him. Why would they be? And as far as flings and one-night stands... don't expect them. He's far too easily flustered by simple flirting, never mind going to bed with strangers. If someone should decide he wants to be with Luca, it'll have to be for the long haul. IDEAS ... would be great, if I had anything solid. Eheh... Perhaps someone is injured or sick, and in need of attention? Luca travels quite a bit as a healer, and may cross paths with your character. Or perhaps you have one of those nasty Hunters who wants the poor boy's bones or life. Or a fellow Magi who wants to make nice. Do you happen to work at a free clinic in the slums of Dagos? Or live in one of the towns scattered about Ethea? Maybe you're just passing through, and luck makes your paths cross. Surely we can come up with something.

OKAY SO. I know I don't have a plotter, yet, but I had to post here, since Wren would more or less see Luca as a giant, red, flashing target. Although Wren doesn't really know exactly what it is that he feeds on (it's sexual tension), he knows he has to make people feel anxious, embarrassed, and just uncomfortable in general for him to get a good meal... And considering how awkward of a cinnamon roll Luca seems to be, I can see Wren just gluing himself to the poor magi. If Luca ends up being a continuous supply of sustenance for Wren, I can see Wren treating him as a possession (which is pretty good, since Wrentham has Trust Issues™). If up to that point's fine, we can choose where to go from there; whether Luca figures out that he's a free meal ticket instead of a close friend could be something that causes conflict — not that Wren would really think much of it. Hell, if Luca found out, he'd probably try and get Luca to use his zero magi skills to help him use others to feed on. So this has the potential to be cute, comical, angsty, and whatever the hell else. Lots of potential. Lmk what you thinkkk~

Oh man... this sounds awesome! Lulu is 110% awkward cinnamon roll, so he would definitely be a good target for Wren to attach himself to. I'd definitely be up for establishing him as a food source, if it works out well enough. Hope Wren likes traveling a lot. ;3 As long as Wren's at least occasionally "nice" to him, he should be just fine to stick around whenever he wants. We'll probably have to see how things work out first, but having Luca somehow find out he's being used would definitely be interesting. He's a pretty devout follower of Tatara, the god of death, so finding out Wren is a ghost would definitely brew some good conflict (and possibly an attempt to find help from an exorcist). And if Wren tries to convince him to actively help... well, that'd be it's own lovely mess, I think. But yes, I am very game for this. Just let me know whenever you want to get started. Wrentham

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. I feel like the potential angst got like 34954035843 times more potent... If Wren got to the point where he considered Luca as a "good person" who would go out of his way for other people, Wren probably wouldn't really see how Luca knowing he's a ghost could potentially be a Big Deal™ (he doesn't really consider it a secret in the first place; he's just not open about it)... So it'd probably come as a huge surprise to him if Luca actually tried to get someone to exorcise him... And then Wren can go through some negative character development... //throws glitterBut either way. I'm trying to think of an entertaining way for them to meet. It'd probably have to be while Wren is in his android host body, obviously. Any ideas of a potential scenario where Luca could show off his awkwardness?

*cackles* yaaaaaas, negative development. It'd be interesting on Luca's end, too, if they were at the "good friends" stage when he found out about Wren's not-aliveness. It's a lot harder making the decision to exorcise a friend than a total stranger, y'know? But we'll see what happens. It'll be fun no matter what, I think. As for where... really, Lulu is an awkward bean anywhere, whether it's the clinic he works at in Dagos, or somewhere on the road, or Haven... he's just awkward. Wren just walking up and being his usual would probably be plenty to get the ball rolling. Luca's... not great with strangers. Outside the clinic, he's less likely to have backup, though, so there's that. Could always just catch him wandering around, or corner him in a shop while he's restocking supplies, or something. Maybe Wren has been kind of tailing Luca in ghosty form, since he's always an awkward cinnamon roll, but maybe wants to actually meet him in his android body in order to have more control over when and how much he can feed at any given moment? ... So it's a little darker from the beginning? ///thumbs up But yeah, anywhere works. I'm down for a thread anytime.

Wooo, darker from the beginning! \o/ I'm up for it, sure. Let's do that. I am also down for threads any time. If you want to start one, go right ahead. Or, if you don't mind waiting a while, I can see what I can get up at some point eventually. (Although, and this is just me, it seems like it might be better to have Wren begin the encounter, if he's been following Lulu around without his noticing.) Wrentham

Yee. There's no doubt in my mind that Wren would start the encounter, but it might be more convenient for Luca to post first to set the scene. Unless you wanna give me some deets on the scene beforehand and what Luca would be doing if you wanted me to start — that way I won't feel like I'm putting Luca in a place he wouldn't really be or something. If you wanna do that, I can start this thread and you could start the Theron thread? That way we can be even or whateverrr~

Even is good. *nodnod* Alright, let's go with the Dagos slums for Lulu. Maybe right near the border with Downtown. He can be on his way back from (or in the middle of, if you'd rather) a trip to an herbalist's shop-- in my head the place could be run by an earth magi-- to restock some stuff for some of the natural remedies he makes. Wren could either corner him in the shop, or tag along with him on his way back to the clinic. Sound good? Wrentham

Luca Burke I think that it would be really interesting to get Luca and Star together! What would it be like for him, meeting and interacting with an android who's "feelings" are entirely synthetic? That entire situation is a can of worms I'd love to crack open and discuss. I can imagine that one of the girls at the club Star works for got injured (as the place is about five kinds of shady), and the owner Aunt Harriet sent her to go get medical assistance. So then Luca ends up being approached by this bubbly android with only half a face, seeming nowhere near as concerned as she should be by what she's asking help for. I imagine the whole situation would be pretty awkward for him. Just seeing that fact would make Star stick to him a bit tighter after he's treated the girl, trying to cheer him up even though that is terrible inappropriate given the situation.

Oh dear, that sounds like a horribly messy situation... let's do it. >:3 I think Lulu would definitely find Star unsettling just by herself, but if she's still all happy and cheerful while one of her coworkers is hurt... I'm not sure whether he'd be more horrified or angry, and I'd love to find out which is the case. (And then there's the whole half-face thing that would be just plain creepy to him. ;3) But yeah, I'm all for it. Do, uh... you maybe want to start? ^^; S.T.A.R.

Luca Burke Sure, I can go ahead and get something up in the red light district (since that's around where the club is, and I can imagine that he might be around the area helping here and there). Maybe the girl who's injured is also a magi, which a reason they don't go get a normal doctor besides the general shadiness? There must be some quiet talk about a zero magi in the area doing good work as a healer, which might be enough for Star to be able to track him down.

Works for me. Luca generally doesn't try to draw much attention to himself, but there are probably at least some rumors around about one of the people working at the clinic, and the place itself shouldn't be too hard to find. Free medical care in the slums? People are going to know about it. ^^ So Star shouldn't have much trouble getting there. S.T.A.R.
