To appreciate your presence near me
Crunch of dead leaves echoed beneath Rynth as she stepped through the courtyard of an abandoned factory… she had taken time to prepare herself mentally and physically for the events about to transpire. The preparations and material weren't too hard to gather, but it was tricky capturing the two foolish hunters that she had recently acquired. One deep breath and then we can continue. Ever since the rising tensions had erupted from the spirit attacks the most recent riots, Rynth had decided something needed to be done. Something had to change otherwise the unnecessary bloodshed would continue. In her own fear she started to review and re-read on the lore of the deities and spirits to better prepare for the future. As today the labor of her research would bear fruit, at least that’s what she hoped for…. Paranoia was quite the double edged sword as the possibility of worsening outcomes crept up within her mind every so often, causing her to go through several sleepless night until her body gave into slimber. However every bit of information she obtained had assisted in planning for this day. Upon learning more of nature of those that would labeled as gods, Rynth felt distressed in many ways to the many enlightening things she didn’t find common know. Going down the list to what seemed to be the most active of the their local pantheon was Philip, the god of madness, and Nevyene, the goddess of dreams. In her research of all the deities, these two were most fickle of the bunch. At least when interacting mortals for the most part... Rynth had at times weighed the benefits of increasing her illusionary abilities, but knew that losing the clarity of thought was not worth the price of power. Any sort of interaction with the mad god would only go sour… Nevyne was quite kinder, but Rynth had a suspicion the goddess had caused the death of one of her beloved students… a stupid one at that, however his heart was always well intended. It was quite fascinating to read in depth of Nevyne’s involvement in necromancy. A magical practice nearly forbidden by all cultures, but Rynth preferred the mechanical strength of a machine rather than a broken or rotting corpse. After all… one breaks more easily. Most of the other deities weren’t as involved as those two with the exception of one, Kupiec. While she was certain Arithelia could empower her children, Rynth heavily doubted she would come to her call if the genocide wasn’t enough to push the goddess into action. From now on she would have to set these things in motion herself and not rely on a prayer with no answer. Stepping into one of the moist sticky room of the abandoned factory she had bound and gagged two young hunters. Inexperienced and strongly arrogant on an encounter with a lone magi. Her illusions got the better of them and she was able to effectively force them to submit the use of vertigo and a strong hit to the heads once they were on their knees. The once cocky men were now restrained looking at her in horror as the ritual was finally set. “Alright… let’s hope he finds you two tasty.” With a written prayer she recites the call to the dealer… Kupiec. After finishing the initial prayer and call she moves her gun to one of the two hunters and fires a shot killing the man quickly. With the first man dead the first meal was offered… “If you’re around Kupiec, I would like to make a proposition. Of course, since I called you I thought it only fitting I prepared a meal for your arrival and departure.” She looking down at the still living hunter waiting for the reply and presence of this deity. The scent. The scent would arrive first. As if traveling upon a crisp oasis wind. Though along with the silence the heavy aroma of spice and exotic spices rushed the space, eliminating any meager attempt of vanilla candles. The sensation was so powerful in its poignancy most mortals' eyes watered. Saffron, Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, Cloves. As if a doorway opening to a desert another gust of wind entered the room.
Upon any mortal having collected themselves, eyes fluttering back open after the surprising suddenness of a gust that strong there stood a man. Not a monster. A humanoid male stood in an utmost proper posture. A suited man with the cosmetics of a rather handsome civilian of Suraja, the deserted lands of the West. The strangely colored eyes would translate brightly given the dark suit and dark hair. A polite smile showcased a sense of etiquette.
"Good afternoon." The Deity spoke, the voice deep with a hint of a foreign accent. Though which one specifically couldn't quite be made out. Slipping His hands into His suit jacket's pockets the God looked to His right and left. Kupiec allowed a single solitary glance to the bound hunters. Kupiec's strange gaze slowly turned back to meet eye contact with the mortal who had summoned Him. Recognition clearly etched into His features as the polite smile shifted into a mischievously amused grin.
"Why have you spoken the name of Kupiec this night?" The Deity said with a delicate tilt of the head, peering down from His taller height.

That smell, it wasn't too far off to assume she had gotten the attention she so desired from the prayer. An uneasiness filled her as the building stress from the MLM efforts had left the gun hand twitching. As if failing to move the gears to clench her fist. She knew for sure this wasn't fear, but stress... greatly anticipating who she had just called to her location. The smell was familiar, but it came to suddenly for her eyes to adjust properly as she felt her eyes water. Her arm raises itself up to brush her eyes clear. Holstering her pistol as she brushed her eyes, so she would not show any disrespect to the deity she waited for him to announce himself vocally. Suddenly to be greeted by the visual presence of a man right in front of her. An elegant man who held a posture of a nobility, but with an expression of a silver tongued lawyer. Once he spoke it was eerie just how smoothly his voice transitioned from accents as if it were just it's own dialect. Through Alvina's memories she recognized many of the accents, but had trouble comprehending just how the despite the transition in accents his voice still came out so smoothly. Rynth had remained silent for his first words, but was brought back to the purpose of the call once Kupiec asked his question... "Before I begin, allow me to thank you for the answering my call. Now I hope to offer a proposition. An investment of sorts... What I wish to offer is my services throughout this life time and several more to come when I am reborn. I'll do you bidding and hunt down those that might disregard any contract they made with you. What I wish to receive from my service is the development and creation of the first Magi Nation. One that is recognized by all other nations as it's own sovereign state." Rynth spoke all of what she anticipated for her proposition trying not to skirt around any of the details. "Would such a transaction entertain your interests?" The expressed appreciation would be acknowledged with a single nod. Good, another mortal who seemed to have some concept of etiquette and appreciation. He was a God. He had no requirement to give this mortal His time and to Kupiec's own regard it was casting this female in a kinder light. Truly, language was fascinating in its power with few words.
Kupiec would listen quietly. Strangely colored irises would grant continuous eye contact through out the duration. Proposition. Investment. Off my services. For a mortal who had never spoken to Him before, she sure seemed to know some of His favorite words, didn't she? Never blinking, the God would listen without interruption or distraction. Upon completion the Deity of Commerce and Dealings would only then stare on a while longer before responding.
"What you ask for," Kupiec began, "is alot." The God's words would be spoken in a slower rate so that hopefully the mortal would understand. Ku was patient but there was a certain point where repeating Himself would become irritable. So this was a precaution so as to best avoid that situation. The girl had begun their conversing so well. It would be privy to all parties if they could keep it on positive tracks.
"You are asking for a larger plot of land, in a world filled with greedy flags that believe themselves to have already claimed every pebble of sand, to be claimed by a minority race. And have it not be questioned." Kupiec's eyes would blink for the first time since they'd come face to face. "That is alot. And although I do appreciate your offer, very much so, and am willing to work with what you have offered thus far, the scales are imbalanced."
"It is no offense to you of course. But what you have offered is similar to an ant offering the largest crumb he has at his disposal. This crumb could feed himself multiple winter seasons and to him this offer is huge. I acknowledge this and am appreciative that one would offer something so impactful for the hopes of her people. But in the whole spectrum of reality, the large picture, your crumb does not weigh an equal amount to what you are asking of Me to do."
Kupiec would slide His hands within His suit's pockets. "What you are asking I have done similarly in this world's ancient times. But back then a whole next generation was offered up to Me." Blink. "The first borns of all those relocating from their slave masters into a free new nation. Your one soul, even across life times, is not equal to what I have received in the past for a similar dealing. However,"
There came that charming perfect smile. One of a tycoon there to close a big deal. "I am interested in what you have offered Me. Perhaps if we think upon what might be more fair of an exchange in services to each other, we could come up with a middle ground? What you are asking for, for instance, could come about through a series of steps. Maybe I can help with that first step or two."

Welcome back Alvina. words: 706
| This was not quite not where she hoped to be when it came to this transaction, but the possibility was always there. Kupiec had a point, as Rynth already knew she was asking far more than, but it seemed like she may have to haggle for some sort of reasonable outcome. Such a challenge seemed daunting when taking in consideration that she was attempting to haggle the god of commerce. It seemed far better to play to his good side for the time being.
"You'll have to forgive me, I did not intend to come off as entitled or presumptuous. In hindsight such a transaction demand for a hefty price. Although, I would believe you of all the deities would have some sort of idea what could be a fair price." Rynth had chosen her words carefully, not wasting a single thought on how she presented herself. It was quite likely that the Kupiec may set a rather high standard one that didn't seem unreasonable, but she would persist for a lower price until it was some sort of final offer.
The plan for the most part was pretty simple, but if she could pull it off then- AAAAAAGH... A sharp pain struck her as she clutched herself in pain to her knees.... She looked down as her hands clutched her abdomen with no wound, but a flicker of memories beginning to flood her mind. Blood... and lots of it... she's seen this memories many times before, but they never felt as real as they did now....Her thoughts replay a few stories written within the net about experiencing past lives... and the possibility of regressing to a past life. It was only just a story... a flight of fancy "No... no no no no." but this was reality and it rarely went in her favor. With what strength she could she moves one hand within her coat to clutch a small notepad... a cluster of plans and thoughts were written within and would likely make no sense to anyone, but herself... then she looked around with a new look in her eye... any and all illusions that were used faded instantly.
Breath.. just breath....The ground she was now staring at had changed and the sharp pain was now gone. Looking down to where her wound was... she chuckled with relief... no more blood and with a strong sense of relief she muttered out. "Oh thank the goddess I'm not dead.... w-where... am I?" Slowly coming to her sense as she struggles back up to her feet. Replaying the last memory within her mind, only to recall a cold feeling of death's grip with the last words of her family still ringing within her ears. However her thoughts shot right to the stranger that stood in front of her. Her senses flaring up as if all attention was meant to be drawn to him.
Whether it was fear, the presence of the man, or a deep wariness of her new environment. She spoke with a firmness behind her voice despite how unsure she felt. Unknowingly gripping something tight within her coat. "Good day I'm Alvina, could you please tell me why I'm here?" She asked the man in front of her. A strange accent flowed within her voice, one that was obviously Ikagian with a small fluctuation of Surajan.
A sudden sensation came over her however... a thought or a feeling telling her that there was something behind her... she could hear a strange muffled voice. Fear stalled the action of turning around as she looked back to see two men tied up and gagged with one of them shot dead. It kept all of her will from shrieking within that instant. Covering her mouth as if the scream was ready to escape her mouth. She became pale at the sight... as only possibility was that the man killed the bound man. Truly looking upon the man who stood before her now with a shaky voice she could only ask one thing despite the many confusing questions that flooded her mind. About why and how she was here now in these different cloths... but it came down to only one real question to ask. "W...w-who ar-re you?"
