Too many people. There were too many people now, and maybe he should just leave, and— A hand settled on his shoulder, distracting Luca briefly from his building panic as its owner pulled him away a little from the gathering bunch. It helped somewhat, and served as a reminder that these were not dangerous people. Haven was safe, and no one here wanted to do him any sort of harm— these were just some rather friendly strangers, and the overwhelming feeling of facing so many at once would pass if only he’d let it. To that end, he tried his best to relax, offering a small, grateful smile to Drew and another murmured apology as he shifted away to return some of the lost personal space, although he remained fairly close to the wolfish magi. Kaveri, too, earned a response, in the form of a short nod to confirm that yes, he was mostly alright. Sort of. Considering Cadence ambushed him with a hug not long after, through which he stood stiff as a board, it was probably just as well that he’d detached himself from the larger magi. While the bubbly bird spoke for the lot of them, Luca took the time that afforded to take in a few slow, deep breaths in an attempt to calm his nerves. Having most of the attention away from him— save for the introductions Cadence made, to which he offered a small wave— helped significantly, and gradually he found himself feeling less and less like fleeing the area as fast as he possibly could. @drew Kaveri Dali Cadence Avia Lelianna Varna Fiamma Maritz

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]You did not break me
I'm still fighting for peace
Me and my elastic heart [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"] Oh dear, the look on Drew’s face was enough to make Kaveri take a step back with a nervous smile. ”No, no. She’s not lost really. I mean, she does know where we all are at and she just kinda got distract I am sure. You know, Lilith. Ha.ha.” Oh, Arithelia help him if Lilith actually got lost in the crowds. ”No worries though I am sure she will pop up in no time and I can help find her….she wouldn’t be that hard to find anyways. Not many pregnant ladies around here in Haven.” In fact, a good many of the folk would be floored to see someone with child and probably ask a billion and one questions. Pregnancy was just uncommon here and regardless of race it could was quite exciting! Kaveri had to do a second look at the little bird and then suddenly would gasp out loud with his hands to his lips. Grabbing Cadence by her arms she quickly rotated them away rather comically and whispered into her ear. ”Wait, wait, wait. Is this the girl we talked about before?” Kaveri suddenly was overly excited for her little bird friend that he couldn’t contain himself. Looking over his shoulder he looked Fiamma up and down for a good second. ”She is so pretty! How is going? Did you go on a lovely date? You have to tell me all about it!” Wait, wasn’t Cadence going to fly off and find Lilith? Oh well, Kaveri had suddenly went into mother mode that it was now on his mind to find out how everything went---oh but he couldn’t ignore Fiamma! The details would have to wait and in a second the priest whipped around to greet Fiamma. ”It’s nice to meet you! I do hope you are keeping Cadence out of trouble.” He chuckled and realized that might be pretty hard considering Cadence was all over the place sometimes and lucky Luca was now lucky that all attention was now on Cadence and Fiamma. Unmeaning to be but it was there until Kaveri realized there was more then just them. He cracked a rather embarrassed smile for his sudden burst of excitement. ”Ah, sorry. [attr="class","oho"] he paid dearly for his moment of paradise while knowing in his gut it could never last. [attr="class","monalisa"]The corner of Drew's lip twitched as Kaveri gave him a nervous smile, and he shook his head with a small sigh. If she was at the temple, he was sure that she would be safe. But even so, his tail flicked back and forth at the thought that there wasn't anyone that he trusted attending to his wife. He glanced over in the direction of the temple, clearly debating whether or not to go and find her. Could he really leave Luca here with all of these people? He could still smell his friend's nervousness, though the potency of the scent had abated somewhat. Luckily, Cadence had volunteered to help him find her, and Cadence taking flight was a lot less likely to set the festival on fire than if he tried to find her that way.
"I'd appreciate that, Cadence," he said. "She's wearing white."
He had somehow managed to get used to Cadence's unexpected hugs, which said a lot for how fond he was of her. It was usually difficult for him to tolerate being touched unexpectedly, but Cadence didn't exactly register as a threat on his mental radar. He took it as a good sign, that he was getting more used to being around friends. Maybe some day, he would even be able to relax in a setting like this, instead of feeling like he was on high alert. Knowing that Haven was full of friends of his had certainly made it easier for him to be around Magi in general.
His eyes fell onto the little dragon Magi, and he only nodded to her in recognition and respect. They'd fought off Hunters together, and that meant that he had a certain degree of added respect for her. He hadn't realized that she was one of Cadence's friends, but it only made him more glad that he'd come along when he did. He didn't quite remember whether they had ever exchanged names, but the fight with the Cyborg and the Hunter was hard to forget. She'd done very well, despite being so small. He was glad that she was the one who'd come with Cadence.

Haha oh how delightful! Cadence's appearance among the group had visibly bolstered Nasrin's spirits (if that was even possible with how positively chipper the magi had been already) and she delighted in watching the smaller air magi disperse her hugs like they were party favors. After all, who in their right mind could deny a hug from the adorable thing? It would be nothing short of a crime to turn her away, and Nasrin likewise appreciated being introduced to the magi whom she hadn't met.
Luca seemed a bit... skittish around the growing crowd, which she could respect enough to not prod the poor dear out from behind Drew, but her attention was readily caught by what Cadence said about the other two. First there was Fiamma; oh don't dare think that Nasrin missed the way Cadence immediately took the other girl's hand, the gesture was enough to curl the corners of Nasrin's lips up with mischievous delight and she clasped her avian hands together excitedly. Had her darling little dove found a girlfriend? Oooooh she was going to get all of the details on that as soon as she got the chance. It would have been a bit impolite to begin interrogating the two young magi right then and there, though, so Nasrin's pale blue gaze roved on to the girl who had been introduced as Lelianna. Mentioning a garden as well as her own flower shop was always enough to reel her into conversation.
❝I do! And I do quite pride myself on the variety of seeds and plants I have to offer, so I think you'd find yourself in the perfect place for that,❞ She answered with an enthusiastic gleam to her eyes. The fair haired magi's tail feathers had been progressively fanning out— ruffled into life by her good mood —and her hair was at full floof by now as she chattered on about one of her favorite subjects. Flowers! ❝A garden? Oh yes I always love to see happy flowers, and I can already tell that you must keep a wonderfully tended garden. The flowers in your hair look cheerful enough.❞ A short tweet of laughter. ❝You earth magi always make me so jealous.❞

She was glad everyone took to her well! When Kaveri pulled her a bit to the side, she twisted one foot against the ground shyly, with her hands behind her back. They didn’t stay there for long; Kaveri’s motherly interrogation drew her to thinking back to their first ‘date’ to Haven, and her hands covered her smiling and blushing face. She answered his questions as they came. “Yes, that’s her. She is!” So pretty, especially in that dress! “It’s going really, really good. We did! I will!” She looked over at Drew, then back to Kaveri. “But I have to find Lilith first!” She waved at Fiamma, who asked where she was off to this time. “I’m going to find a friend! I’ll be back before you know it!” And whoosh! With a graceful flap of her wings and a burst of air, Cadence was off in the air. Fortunately, she didn’t have to go very far to spot Lilith; Drew’s description of her clothes and the pregnancy made her very easy to spot. But rather than try to land among the crowd, she decided to circle back and report her location to Drew. She was gone just long enough for Kaveri to question Fiamma, and for her to give him her answers. She landed behind Fiamma and jogged from her landed into her back, wrapping her in a tight hug. “See, I told you I’d be right back!” She stepped around her lovely and warm girlfriend back towards the center, where Drew was no doubt still waiting. “Drew! She’s just over there, by those trees. I think she’s just resting on a bench. She’s a-okay!” She gave him a little salute at the end of her report. Now, back to the socializing. Or so she thought. Her head naturally turned toward the shift in music. It was cute! Smooth! With a distinguishable beat! Oh yes, Cadence knew what it was time for. Every moment the group’s attention was directed away from him was one in which Luca could bring himself to calm down further. Cadence had garnered quite a bit of attention for herself, as had Lelianna, and even Drew was distracted with Kaveri and his concern for his wife— which thankfully was seen to rather quickly by the excitable little crow. Gradually, Luca edged further away from the large wolf magi he’d been using as cover, until some semblance of personal space had been restored between them. Then for a while he didn’t much move at all, aside from the occasional shift of his weight or flick of his eyes toward one individual or another. An urge to try joining in on one of the conversations happening was building, but at the same time he wasn’t sure whether he should. To most of the people here he was essentially a stranger, and he worried that he might not come off well if he tried. Although, standing there in awkward silence couldn’t have been much better. So, steeling himself, he watched the others for a while longer, trying to decide where might be a good spot to jump in, before eventually settling on the discussion Nasrin and Lelianna were having about gardening. “Do you, um,” Luca began uncertainly, tail swishing nervously behind him. Clearing his throat, he went on. “What sorts of plants do you grow, Lelianna? Just… just, ah, flowers, o-or other things to. Like… herbs or… something…” Trailing off, he struggled not to shy away the instant he shut his mouth, eyes flicking between the two elder magi. At least he’d tried, right? ► Oh gods, someone else who liked plants! And someone who had even more seeds for the garden! Any semblance of nervousness that the hermit might have had was immediately swept away in an instant Instead her hair, which was already a wild curtain of flowers thanks to a certain cyborg, turned into a kaleidoscope of changing colors for a second. It was a wonder of color combinations showing the magi's enthusiasm.
"I would love to come visit your shop sometime! Not now of course; the festival's too fun for that. But some other day! And you could definitely come out and visit if you'd like! I've got a field especially dedicated to flowers I think you'd just love!" Caroline was currently the only other person Lelianna had shown (well recently that she remembered. Some other people might have found it on their own; who knew? Though the part about Nasrin being jealous of earth magi made Lelianna smile a little shyly.
"Well...we do get to cheat a little. But if you really like flowers, I could weave some into your hair!" Truth be told she'd always wanted to try doing that. However abruptly they were joined by a third person. Oh! The shy man named Lulu! Hopefully she wouldn't scare him off this time. Offering him a warm smile, Lelianna tried to rein in her excitement. It was...hard. "Oh! All kinds of things! A lot of it is just Arecia; I found it as it was and only added onto it. But I've got plenty of herbs too!" A whole section if she was being honest. "I use a lot of them to make salves and such to sell here in town. Are you into herbalism?" Because that would be great too! Everything right now was pretty much great in her eyes.

Were Nasrin's eyes playing tricks on her, or were the flowers in Lelianna's hair whirling through colors like a mood ring? No— that was the real deal. How beautiful! People had always liked to tell Nasrin herself that her feathery bits made her very... expressive, but the blooms were an entirely different sort of eye catching beauty that simply made her want to smile even brighter. ❝Of course. The festival is far too wonderful to abandon, as you said, so a visit can wait until whenever you feel like stopping by. I've been in business for a while now and I plan to stay that way for quite a while more.❞ Neither her nor the flowers she tended would be going anywhere, that's for sure.
The offering to see the younger magi's garden prompted Nasrin to nod enthusiastically and she loosed a happy trilling sound. ❝A field? Oh I doubt I would ever want to leave if that's true,❞ She said with a bit of starry eyed sparkle to her eyes. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that the air magi could spend hours wandering among flowers— as long as her eyes still had new, beautiful blossoms to behold —and to see an expanse in Arecia that she hadn't yet discovered was a very nice prospect. ❝Mm the magic probably does help a lot with coaxing the more stubborn plants to grow, but I've always wondered what it was like to feel them, too. My sisters were earth magi and they liked to say how they could talk to them; it made me so curious!❞
❝Ah thank you, dear, I would love that. The arrangement I have going might need some... touching up,❞ That last bit turned a bit sheepish as Nasrin raised one talon'd hand to lightly brush at the flowers that were nestled among her hair. After running about the Festival, she'd shed quite a lot of petals to the point that the "crown" had become only a few flowers that remained stubbornly clinging in place. Oops.
Hm? Oh, Luca! It was nice to see him venturing into the conversation, and so Nasrin turned her attention to both him and Lelianna with a smile as the topic of herbs was brought up. More outside the air magi's own specialty, but she was still very interested to hear about it.

For a while, Luca had stopped to stare at the wild display of color occurring in the earth magi’s hair, and didn’t immediately notice that she had responded to him. Instead, he started about halfway through the redhead’s question, and had to stand there staring a while longer while he tried to remember what else she had told him. Shuffling awkwardly in place, he nodded eventually before beginning the hunt for a few words of his own. “I… yes? Well, sort of,” the zero magi began uncertainly, worrying at the ends of his sleeves as he spoke. “I, ah… I work as a healer, so I know a little about it, I guess…?” In truth, his knowledge of herbs and natural remedies was far more than a little, but lack of confidence tended to put a damper on admitting that sort of thing. Maybe this had been a bad idea… “I know how to use some herbs to help with that, but… I-I’m sure you’d know a bit more about it, since you, ah… since working with those plants and making things with them is kind of a living for you…?” No, not a bad idea. Just… one he had to get used to. That was it. Although, admittedly Luca wasn’t quite sure how, since the last of his ideas for keeping up a conversation had all but petered out then and there. Maybe the other two magi would be better at it, though. They’d seemed to be doing well enough before he’d butted in on their discussion, hadn’t they? Lelianna Varna Nasrin Knezevic

► Yes! Yes this was wonderful to finally find someone else who seemed just as enthusiastic as Lelianna on plants. or close. Relatively closer. Closer than most other people were at least. But then lo and behold there was another detail that Nasrin revealed which further blew the earth magi's mind. "Wait could they actually hear what they are saying?" The magi had to ask. She'd never met another magi that had been able to hear the plants' voices before. "I-I can't hear all of them speak, but I can sense the feelings of the plants. I've never heard of any other magi that could do that too." Was she not alone? Was it possible? Or was this something she'd simply gained from spending so much time with Arecia and bonding to the woods so closely? But that exciting topic got swept away by another exciting topic. She could weave flowers into the woman's hair. Letting out a little happy sound of glee that had her flower's colors swirling, the hermit was only too happy to open one of her pouches for flower seeds. "I'd be happy to!" With that she pulled out some and stepped forward. This was the first time she'd tried it on anyone else, and she could admit as much. "Ah, I've never tried this with anyone, but I've always wanted to!" In fact when Luca came over, the hermit was working on doing exactly that. It was a delicate process. One that required her to remove the flower crown Nasrin had gotten before. Yet in its place the earth magi was weaving together a gentle interlocking wreath crown of beautiful blue flowers the redhead had thought would go well with the woman's features. As she was speaking to Lulu, she was busy weaving the vines around the air magi's hair to make sure the crown could stay in place. And since the hermit had grown it, you better be sure it was going to last the whole night. And probably the next few days too honestly. "Oh yes! Well, sort of. It's the only thing I do that I can use to get currency to buy more seeds for my garden, really." The redhead admitted. "But I'm glad to make the salves to help anyone who might need them. If you ever need supplies, or if you'd want a lesson, I'd be more than happy to help with that!" Offered the magi cheerfully before stepping away from Nasrin. The crown was complete and the druid absolutely thrilled she'd been able to do that. "I hope you like it! It might take a bit of, ah, time to get out of your hair, but if you'd want you could also plant the flowers when you take them out." There you go; free flower crowns for anyone interested! And speaking of which... "Would you like one Luca?" The hermit asked, glancing to the man with a kind smile.

[attr="class","oho"] he paid dearly for his moment of paradise while knowing in his gut it could never last. [attr="class","monalisa"]Drew's eyes followed Cadence as she flew off. In the darkness of the under canopy of the trees, her white feathers managed to stick out enough that it took her a while to get out of sight. Once she was, he tried to pay attention to what was being said, but his attention was divided. Surprising no one, Nasrin and Lelianna seemed to hit it off at once. Both of them seemed scarily interested in plants, to the point that they both had tried to put flowers on his person at one point or another. Lelianna had actually succeeded, and he'd brought that "flower sleeve" back for Lilith. And so his thoughts returned to her whereabouts once more. It wasn't entirely unfair of people to accuse him of being paranoid, but he didn't like not knowing where his wife was.
It didn't take long for Cadence to come back, and he stood a little taller on his toes to look over to where she was pointing. He glanced back at the others and started heading over that way, not saying his good-byes to anyone. If Luca wanted to follow, he could, but Drew didn't think that anyone would be in any danger without him being there. Nasrin could be a little scarily enthusiastic, maybe, but she wasn't about to hurt anyone. Still, he didn't like leaving his friend without knowing that he'd be okay. Drew rested his hand on Luca's shoulder one more time, trying to get his attention without making him more nervous.
"I'm going to go find her," he said, as soon as he had Luca's attention. "If you need me, I'm not hard to find."
It was almost a joke. A person of his size stood out in any crowd. He slipped through the crowd of people as well as he could, and then walked through the gap that people naturally made when they saw him coming. He would go find his wife. She was why he'd come here, after all.

Nasrin's pale blue eyes flicked upwards in thought at that, evidently pawing through her memories to try and recall exactly what her rambunctious sisters had liked to brag about all those years ago. Ptthh— they'd just been jealous that she could fly. ❝I think so. Well, they were probably embellishing a bit when they tried to convince me that they could have whole conversations with the jungle,❞ Hey Nazzy, the trees say that Momma's dresses look better on me! ❝But I believe that they could hear them at least sometimes. Maybe more like... whispers, or thoughts; yes sensing their feelings would be a good way to put it!❞ The air magi gave a satisfied nod before tilting her head slightly, amused by how enthusiastic Lelianna had suddenly become after hearing about the hazy memory. Was that not something most earth magi were lucky enough to share in? Interesting. Nasrin supposed that no two magi of any type were exactly alike in their abilities, so it logically wasn't much of a surprise.
❝We lived very close to the jungle and spent a lot of time playing in its shade. Perhaps that's why they could do it.❞
Definitely worth thinking about. Ah but now it was time for flower crowns! Aside from admiring them in pots and vases, Nasrin loved to wear flowers in whatever way possible (as well as putting them on anyone who would let her) and the excitement of Lelianna's own lively wreathe was mirrored in how the fair haired magi's feathers gave a renewed bit of poof! ❝I trust in your expertise.❞ She replied with no small amount of glee before bending her head a bit to give the other magi better access. There was the gentle tug of leftover blooms being removed and then, wait was she doing it from seeds? Oh it was just a shame that Nasrin couldn't watch the earth magi work— surely it would be a fascinating sight —but nevertheless she stayed dutifully still until the vines were all woven into place. Nasrin was back to beaming again once she straightened up. ❝Haha that's no trouble, my dear, So long as it hangs on long enough for me to get to a mirror later.❞
Her cheery grin was aimed toward Luca, then, and she "ooh'd" softly. ❝You're a healer? Another amazing talent, and if you work in saving lives you must be a whole lot more knowledgeable than you're letting on.❞ Said with a laugh. Luca did seem the modest type... and of course Nasrin was wondering how he would react to the offering of a flower crown.

[attr="class","ig"] [attr="class","kikan"] Supplies and lessons… Luca almost brightened up at the offer, now looking at the redheaded magi with tentative interest, rather than sheer uncertainty. Depending on what plants she grew, and how much she’d charge for his use of them, this could be a good opportunity for a new source of materials, and any chance of learning more to further his craft, such as it was, was one he would gladly take. “I… I think I’d like that,” he answered her with a nod and, just for a moment, the barest of eager smiles. “M-maybe before I leave Haven again, we could see about meeting up, or… something…”A hand settled on his shoulder then, distracting the young magi from the flower-weaving woman as he turned to look up at its owner. Drew was leaving. His heart twisted a little at being left alone among this gathering of virtual strangers, and some of the color drained from his cheeks for a moment. Still, as much as he wanted to ask, he couldn’t keep the wolfish magi around forever, and between himself and the man’s wife, he knew he was very far from taking priority. So, working to suppress a fresh bout of nervousness, Luca nodded, waving to him briefly as he disappeared from the meadow. This… this was fine. He’d be alright on his own here, surely. He just had to keep his head, was all. Gulping, Luca redirected his attention toward the air magi, who by now had a lovely, finished crown of flowers decorating her hair. “I, um, w-well…” he stammered, shifting awkwardly in place on being called out in his overly-modest assessment of his talents. “M-maybe a little, I guess… heh.” It was with a thoroughly startled look that he responded to Lelianna’s question first, and for a while he simply stared at her rather than responding. A flower crown? For him? “Uh…” A tinge of pink entered his cheeks. “I, uh…” After taking some time to find the rest of his voice, Luca gave the smallest of nods, directing his gaze to the grass at his feet, and replied in a sheepish mumble, “I think I would, yes…” [newclass=.joker]width: 360px; height: 140px; padding: 20px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); -moz-transition: 3s all; -webkit-transition: 3s all; -o-transition: 3s all; transition: 1s all;[/newclass][newclass=.ig:hover .joker]background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4); -moz-transition: 3s all; -webkit-transition: 3s all; -o-transition: 3s all; transition: 1s all;[/newclass][newclass=.game]text-align:center; line-height: 9px; margin-top:10px;opacity:0;font:bold 10px Roboto; color: #ffffff; text-transform: uppercase; -webkit-transition-duration:.3s;transition-delay: .3s;transition-duration:.3s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.game a]font:bold 17px Roboto; font-weight: 900; color: #ffffff;[/newclass][newclass=.ig:hover .game]margin-top:0px;opacity:1;transition-delay: .3s; -webkit-transition-duration:.3s;transition-duration:.3s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.ninety]width:400px;height:180px;background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/VcCe39g.jpg?1);[/newclass] [newclass=.kikan]width: 65px; height: 65px; border: 1px solid #0; transform: rotate(45deg); z-index: 2; margin-top: -27px; margin-bottom: -39px; filter: grayscale(100%);-webkit-filter: grayscale(100%);-moz-filter: grayscale(100%);[/newclass][newclass=.ig:hover .kikan]filter: grayscale(0%);-webkit-filter: grayscale(0%);-moz-filter: grayscale(0%); transition: 0.6s; transition-timing-function: linear;[/newclass][googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Open+Sans]

► Wow! So there were other magi out there who could sense the feelings of the trees and fauna around them! Lelianna wasn't the only one! Now she didn't think she was going completely crazy. Plus she also hung onto one of the words Nasrin mentioned: jungle. "Do you come from Suraja?" That was the only place the druid could remember having a jungle. "I used to live there actually! The jungles were so wonderful; my parents used to take me out with them to see them. Though I admit I think I like Arecia a lot more now." Given her history, that was understandable anyways. With the first flower crown proudly finished, Lelianna was only too happy to turn towards Luca. Who, after a number of stammered words, actually agreed! With a whirl of color in her petals, Lelianna smiled brilliantly at the other magi. Though she tried her best to tone it down. the poor man still looked like he was ready to run at a moment's notice. Especially after Drew mentioned something about leaving? The druid didn't quite catch that. But what she did catch was the fact her new friend had accepted her offer! "I'd be more than happy to meet up with you again for lessons." The earth magi finally answered the man while scrounging her pouches for some seeds. Eventually she found ones and approached the other man. Carefully of course. He still seemed as skittish as her animal aspect's original. "My home's a little ways away from Haven though, if you wouldn't mind a bit of a walk." After re-positioning herself behind the healer, Lelianna got to work with a little "Ok here we go" as a warning she was starting. Now Nasrin would be able to watch how she'd constructed the air magi's very own crown; the seeds in her hand burst out of their shells in little green tendrils. Using both these and her hands, she shifted the zero magi's dark tresses around to properly weave the strands of living vegetation through them. To someone unused to seeing the growing process frequently, it might be a tad fascinating. Here was the entire growth transformation played out without any earth to hide it. The flora probably never more looked like a living entity than it did now. With time the druid finished this new crown of flowers: blue like Nasrin's but a different type and shade altogether. Once it had firmly attached itself in a wreath about the man's head Lelianna stepped back. "There we go! Like I told Nasrin; it might be a bit tricky to get out once you want to, but you could plant it after you're done wearing it!" The hermit assured him with a bright smile as she came back to stand before him. She looked at both of her new friends and their flower crowns. She was so happy! She'd finally gotten to try that with other people! Maybe she could make a few for the kids back at the Game zone? There was a thought while she waited for Caroline. "Blue seems to suit you both really well." The magi decided with a little nod, while her own flowers' colors remained ever-shifting.
