as long as you remember me, i don't care if everyone else forgets. [attr="class","quicklinks"]@tagsomeonehere [attr="class","quicklinks"]357 words Fishy for mom! | [attr="class","technoscroll"] ❝ Home. The teenager was finally home. For once in her life, the teen felt like everything was okay with the world and she was home. The first state of business would be to get into the proper dress for the festival. It was important, because of her mother that the new year was a time for the world to celebrate and begin anew. And so the ikigaian was able to put on her kimono, and partake in the traditional ceremonies of the country she called home. It was weird that she was able to converse in her own tongue. She had gotten so used to using the foul language of her father's country that her mothers came slowly at first. Soon, like a bubble, it would burst out of her through, in pitches of excitement and glory as she talked her way through familiar territory and tongue. The woman was not afraid of the people here, and her stance would show as she walked through the festival grounds, smiling and happy, an odd image to anyone who thought they knew the child. As she let herself be pushed along in the crown Maia would smile. There were many here who were surprised at the onslaught of the foreigners, and were some of them gawking. For the Ethean natives, Maia was sure that it was odd itself, given that here in Ikigai Magi and human intermingled. She was just glad they weren't in the capital. That would not have been a good thing, especially given that there was sure to be more conflict there. It would be nice to celebrate the new year's peacefully. And so when she meandered past the fish stall she couldn't help the smile that came onto her face. She and her mom would always try for one, even if they couldn't keep it. She decided she would take on that goal this year. With a determined grin, the teenager would politely ask for the net, bow and dive it in with no hesitation. It was up to fate whether she got a fish, but for now, it was worth the trip down memory lane. |
