"No pushing! You'll all get a turn to go!" Surai called out, keeping her kids as organized as could be in the face of such festivities. It was a wonderful change from the current dreary Ethea. Surai didn't regret coming here one bit.
However.
You try keeping a bunch of children in line within the hearts of a big celebration.
Surai wasn't alone in her endeavors to keep the children contained, but it was still quite the task to handle. Yet even so she found herself smiling at seeing all the happy faces as the kids tried their hand at the "fish scoop" game. Some won, and some didn't. But in general the kids were having fun: that's what mattered.
Although at some point Surai found herself being pulled towards the booth herself by some of her kids. They insisted she should try her hand at it too. Blue eyes went from them to the kind fellow who'd been working the booth the whole time their ragtag team of toddlers had shown up. Oh....why not. The surajan figured with a mental shrug. It was a festival, after all. She ought to have her own fair share of fun with it, right? Especially since that's why they'd come in the first place.
So Surai moved forward to the front of the booth where some of her other kids were eagerly playing away. The whole line thing had been swift to deteriorate, but at least they were letting each other actually take turns. Sort of. But soon enough Surai was handed her very own scoop, so she knelt down beside her little najmas and gave it her best shot.
