It has been a long, tense day across the length and span of Ethea. Thousands of citizens of every race have gathered together to show their support for their side of the issue. The cacophonous swell of opposing voices fills the air as each side attempts to drown out the other with the sheer volume of their voices. While the day has passed with few incidents, tensions are high and the people are restless. Hours have passed since the polls first opened and the hour in which the results will be revealed. A loud, clear voice cuts through the noise like a knife, demanding the attention of all in attendance. “Ladies and Gentlemen, citizens of Ethea, if you would please direct your attention to the screen for just a few moments, the voting results have been compiled and we are ready to announce the conclusion. A hush falls over the gathered crowd and hundreds of individual faces turn to face the gigantic holographic display or towards the monitors by which those not in attendance have tuned to watch the historic event. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00The hologram shifts from the image of a clock and displays the results. The law has been passed. In a split second's timing uproar follows. One side rejoices while the other laments; all raise their voices in either praise or disgust. DAGOSAn overjoyed man in his late thirties flings his arms in celebration, losing his grip on the camera he’d been using to record the event. The device flies straight and true as though guided by the hands of fate itself and strikes one of the opposing protesters. The young woman falls flat, bleeding from a head wound. Outrage follows and all semblance of order is lost. The overzealous are the first to react, flinging themselves over the concrete dividers that separate the two groups. Fists fly and hateful slurs are shouted as mob mentality takes hold. The fight quickly turns lethal as picket signs are used as clubs and other, deadlier weapons are drawn. FELICIOld men toss jeers and slurs at a group of young magi. One of the members finally has enough and pushes the human away from her with an anger that sparks into minor flames at her fingertips. The reaction of the men is to scream in horror. "She's trying to kill us!" would be the cries heard above all else as they attempt to escape their deaths, all but one who pulls a gun on the woman who had singed his shirt just moments before. From there all sides come in to support the ones they believe to have been the true victim. Hunters, police, representatives of the Runic University, and MLM members who had been stationed there in case of such a reaction. CAMLORNSmaller townships such as Camlorn are slower to descend into madness, but descend they do. Upon hearing of the situation in both the capital and Dagos, local military commanders give orders to suppress any potential riots by any means necessary. Unfortunately, these orders are interpreted as authorization to fire upon both sides and Camlorn follows the example given by the large cities. The scene is one that replays itself in horrifying detail across the land. Many watch in horror as the chaos erupts. Some attempt to flee while others merely watch in utter disbelief, though one thing is shockingly clear. The Second Magi Riot has begun.

Nothin' else seems to hurt like the smile on your face "They passed it, didn't they?" Elijah would ask the MLM member beside him. The shift from immediate utter silence to deafening chaos was proof enough of vote's outcome was being displayed. Upon hearing Nobu's answer the older man's brows would deepen sharply. "Knew it." He spoke in a gruff tone of voice, his teeth grit. Nothing had changed.
A near decade had passed since the relocation camps and the nation he lived in had just made it obvious on their stance. It hadn't changed a damn bit. His daughter was not going to live in a world that thought this less of her. The dark twitch that had been been growing within the earth magi's mind since that strange night only sharpened now. It pierced his thoughts over and over, a hatred that caused his hands to ball into fists.
Whether that strange presence had been a delusion or not, its after effects were still harshly present. There were so many pairs of feet, so many vibrations underneath his shoes. His 'vision' on the scene was hazy at best. He had been wise to bring Nobu along. And he knew Cherche was somewhere in the masses as well. "This is going to get vio--"
The first gun shot melted away all other sounds to ring in Elijah's ears. "Act." Was all Elijah would say to his operative. Magi didn't use guns, they had no reason to. Fucking humans. They all deserve to die. The twitch would manifest into a physical jolt of his hand before they focused sternly on the earth beneath. "Focus on defending our people." Elijah would call out over the mass violence unfolding around them. It was an order he had already given to every MLM stationing through out the nation. Nobu knew his orders. It would be an oddity of character to repeat such words to a trusted operative under him.
The reminder wasn't for Nobu. It was for him.
They deserve to die. Elijah's scarred eyes closed tightly behind those darkly tinted sunglasses as he pushed past the inner voice. The ground would shudder moments before the cement flooring would split and rise up, the earth pushing up and through the man created smoother surface. He needed to at least create a boundary for his people to better hide from the other side. Sure, they'd still be able to climb or run around it but it would be a venture. Higher and higher the new wall would grow in hopes of separating the opposing sides of thought. Fire balls would ram into it from one side while bullets would drill into it from the other. when it's only in my memory Minnie of GS

Here comes a killer whale
There was a familiar tension in the air so thick, Nobu could almost taste it. He hear it in the hush of the crowd, and see it in the mass of hopeful faces he stood watching at Elijah’s side. The storm that had been brewing ever since the announcement of the vote was about to break, just as it had years ago in the riots in the camps. There was even a countdown this time, and Nobu’s eyes did not leave it as he responded to the earth magi’s question. “They’ve passed it,” he said, raising his voice just enough to be heard over the ensuing din of celebration and despair.
Ocean-blue eyes fell back to the crowd, unreadable as the rest of the expression he wore. At his sides, his fingers twitched, eager to take action against every last human who raised their cries of joy against his kind. He’d see them all fall screaming if he could— every last parasite. But the order had not yet been given, and the situation at hand had not boiled over until…
A camera flew, a woman fell, and a single word reached his ears; “Act.” As the ‘storm’ broke, Nobu’s features contorted into a vicious grin. Finally, it was time to act, even if it was only in defense, and the lion fish magi wasted no time. Darting up to the edge of the wall Elijah had built up, he formed a thick bubble of water around himself and peeked out, one arm raised. With a flick of his wrist, a pressurized geyser would erupt from a storm drain in the midst of a cluster of humans, aimed to scatter and, perhaps, eliminate one or two as the heavy metal cover flew up with it.
Thick clouds of fog came next as Nobu briefly dropped the bubble protecting him to exhale a couple masses of the vapor toward the opposing side before ducking back around behind the wall. With any luck, it might deter a few of the gunmen who had appeared, and slow down the humans caught within considerably.

The law was passed.
Chaos erupted from both sides. Hate filled words were flying all around, she could hear men and women screaming because they were hit. Fire Magis were erupting with flames out of pure anger, Earth Magis were building barriers to barricade and keep them or others safe. Chaos was quickly spreading and covering the world as she knew it. And oh did she know it. It was the relocation camps all over again, the evil that filled the minds of the humans like the hunters within the camps. She would not let herself go through this again.
She felt herself fighting off Xenos, her alternate. Vashti’s heart was hammering against her chest and pure fear was spreading throughout her. It was the flash backs of the relocation camps and what happened to her. She wasn’t going to let it happen again, nope. It would never. Not this time. A hand on her shoulder that was rough and caused her eyes to widen. The hand yanked Vashti backwards as she went down, landing right onto her bum. Her eyes widened with fear as a woman, slightly but probably not older than her, was staring down at Vashti with hatred. Instinctively, Vashti did a backwards summersault and brought herself to her feet. She went right for it, speed and everything taking over as her head slammed right into the woman who had yanked her down. The woman went backwards, landing straight onto her back as her head hit the ground. Vashti went to run before the woman grabbed her leg, attempting to bring Vashti to the ground but to no avail. The fire magi escaped.
A smile. Something Vashti didn’t show often as she felt the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She could feel her body heating up quickly, the feeling of her blood boiling as anger took over. All those years of torment from the humans and she finally had the chance to fight them back. Yet as she heard gun fire, her eyes widened then fell dead. Nothing but a blank expression was revealed as Vashti pulled a lighter from her pocket and quickly lit it.
The flame went from the lighter to the palm of Vashti’s hand and slowly began to grow. The flame engulfed the entire length of both of her arms and she just began to walk. Bullets whizzed past the demonic figure. At one point, she was almost positive the bullet grazed her skin as she felt an odd trickling sensation running down her leg that felt quite familiar. Speed picked up and Vashti went flying by other Magis who were using their own abilities. With her arms engulfed with nothing but flames, she went flying towards a man who was aiming his gun at a Magi. Her body attached to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around the waist. The man began to scream, grabbing at Vashti’s arms but sadly mistaken when his hands began to burn and his screams got louder. She glanced to look at the Magi who was just standing there and with a blank stare and a voice with no emotion, “What the hell, get out of here already.”
Vashti released the no longer screaming man as he dropped to the ground like he was nothing. Vashti had severely burnt his hand and his neck was blistering. She didn’t care. Her arms went flying as her body went running through crowds of humans. She attempted to catch anything on fire from hair to clothing to skin. She heard the screaming from those she caught, a couple dropping to the ground to attempt to stop the sudden flame. This was something she was enjoying but she would not show. Unfortunately though, her fun stopped as soon as a wall eroded from the ground, blocking the humans from the Magi. With furrowed brows, Vashti went running.
She just kept going. Not stopping. She kept her breathing at a steady pace so she could keep up her running with no problem. That was until her eyes flashed by a figure she had seen before. Silvery hair that was long with fish-like scales as skin. eyebrows that didn’t match. Nobu.
Her own figure went flying by the male before suddenly coming to a halt some feet away. Her arms were still a flamed, a blank expression. “Oh, hey. I didn’t know you were here. Did your friend do that?” She shrugged her arm towards the growing smooth surface that came from the ground. “Pretty cool, want me to get Magis out?” She paused for a moment before taking back what she said, “Actually, I’ll just make sure the humans that try to get through this barrier die before they touch another magi.” Her eyes lit up some with the very thought of that and before the fire magi went to run off, she took a look back to the male, Elijah, with brows furrowed as she was attempting to figure out if she knew him. After a couple seconds of staring, she shrugged it off and turned, whizzing past Magis as they escaped and she made her way around the large barrier, taking down any human she possibly could that was trying to get around the barrier.

The Hunters assigned to monitor the situation in Dagos are quick to act as pandemonium erupts. Blades and firearms are drawn and quickly used in the elimination of dissident magi. Some do their duty and attack the worst of the offenders while others simply use the chaos as an excuse to murder innocents. Regardless of their intentions, each Hunter rushes into the crowd with the tools of their trade claiming the lives of any who resist.
There is a lull in the killing when the concrete bursts apart and a wall begins to rise. Those whose gifts grant them powerful legs leap over the wall before it can grow too tall only to find themselves mired in a thick fog; the rest spread out along the wall attempting to find either the edges or a weak point through which they can breach. One group of young wolves that managed to leap over the wall sync their efforts and take stalk of the unfolding situation. The scattered remnants of one group of demonstrators rush away in every direction, leaving two of their number unmoving on the ground. Though the fog is difficult for them to pierce, their heightened senses give them an advantage the police and untrained mobs are incapable of achieving. It is what would allow them to put a stop to the madness.
“Shit’s fucked,” one says dryly. “Alright, fearless leader, what’s the plan.” A young, blonde-haired—the apparent leader—responds with, “We find out who’s putting up the wall and the fog. Sasha, you and Hiro find the water magi and keep him distracted. Lilly, you’re the best shot out of all of us, so find a nice perch and pick off anyone that looks suspicious. Andrea, you come with me; we’re going to take down the earth magi that’s controlling that wall.
“Everyone stay close and don’t get to cocky. Now, let’s move!” Four affirmatives swiftly followed and the team spread out to find the cause of the disturbance. Lilly—the team marksman—rushes toward a nearby two story building that remained relatively intact and flies up the stairs to the rooftop, where she deploys her rifles bipod and begins scanning for targets. Sasha and Hiro race through the fog with their senses as their guide while Andre and Johnathan—the group’s apparently leader—battle through the press of fleeing bodies in search of their intended target.

sorry for the delay guys. won't happen again <3 Nothin' else seems to hurt like the smile on your face The satisfaction of a tactic working would not show upon the man's face. But it sure graced his mind with a bliss. It was nice when things worked out the way one wished them to. The wall would benefit the old earth magi in two fashions. The first, of course, was limiting the amount of damage either side was producing immediately. It was the equivalent of a teacher separating two fighting school children from their tussle. It was a necessary first step if one was capable. And this old man was capable.
However the wall proved to have a duel purpose. With Elijah's ability he could sense the earth's vibrations. Every set of feet, every car tire, every building, every damn squirrel scurrying to feed on another half eaten hotdog. Needless to say, the riot with this heavy a crowd size, it was difficult to really get a good grasp on much on an individual level. It was static, so much at once. But with that wall and focusing on the ground beneath it, ignoring all other sets of feet that had already been on his side, certain vibrations could be better pinpointed.
The heavy landing of sets of feet.
Those were the enemy.
A great many of them, with the wall already so high that only those blessed could possibly bound over it, would find the ground beneath their feet shift drastically. Softening to the point where it felt they were sinking, falling, being sucked downwards up to their knees in a frightening blink of an eye before the ground would solidify again. Quite the few hunters would be left in such a state, stuck, cursing angrily as they struggled in vain to break free. Of course, there would be those that would move to quickly for Elijah to catch in such a manner, or perhaps he just hadn't gotten to yet.
One such group was now dispersing. Any magi sets of feet (those that had been on his side of the wall to begin with) had been sprinting from them since they'd landed and now continued to avoid even now. Yep, that was the enemy. With no other heavier landings to be felt, Elijah allowed his attention to deviate to the pair that seemed to be running more or less in his general direction.
Well, no need for the enemy to think of him as a threat. With a casual motion Elijah pulled out his medicinal white cane and snapped it into its full form. Swiping the cane side to side, so as to highten his chances of being undisturbed, Elijah would hide the motion with his swaying cane hand. An attempt would be made to give the sprinting pair the same fate as the other hunters left at the wall's base. The only good hunter was a dead one. But a stuck hunter was a decent allowed substitute for now. when it's only in my memory Minnie of GS

Here comes a killer whale
With his part of the cover laid out for the time being, Nobu drew up a protective bubble around himself once more. Elijah’s wall was a good defense, true, but this gave him more mobility. He was about to step out again, slipping into the cover of his fog when a familiar face appeared, red-eyed and framed by violet hair. Vashti. Ruddy brows raised at the blankness of her expression, and the flatness of her voice. It was quite the change from the woman he’d met panicking over what gift to buy for her brother. Interesting…
But not something he could afford to spend much time considering for now. Without a word on his part, the lion fish magi let her dash off back into the crowd, arms flailing at any human who dared draw close.
When she was gone, he focused his attention on the fog for a while longer, using his magic to spread it out over a wider area around the stone barrier. As he did this, movement from above caught his attention, and ocean-blue eyes raised to fix on a small group of Hunters standing at the top of Elijah’s wall. After some conversation, the group split, two diving into the crowd, one disappearing from his view entirely, and the other two… running directly into his fog. Nobu grinned, slipping into the mist after them, but remaining relatively close to the edge, near where Elijah and his barrier still stood. These fools, he concluded, would die by his hand first.
As the young Hunters traversed the water magi’s fog, they would likely find far more resistance than normal, bogging down their movements, while Nobu traversed the area facing no heaviness at all. As soon as the Hunter pair entered his sight, he would Materialize more water from the air, aiming to capture both in boiling masses of the liquid until their worthless lives expired. | out of character | Muse

The woman hadn’t even given Nobu enough time to state what he wanted her to do or if he even wanted her to do anything before she bolted with flailing arms, taking down any hunters that crossed her very path.
It didn’t take much for when her flames touched a human, she would pause for a second to take a good hold of where ever she had touched them to make sure the flames were able to catch on the clothing or the body. When it did, the female would bolt from their, allowing the figure to either fall to the ground screaming from the flame or attempt to put it out and soon be attacked by another magi.
As she was running, she easily caught glimpse of what looked like a hunter making her way to a building. With furrowed brows, Vashti had paused in her steps to watch as the woman just freely ran into the building without much issue or hesitation. It took her a second to think, should she follow or just stay behind? Well, curiosity hooked her and the female had stopped in her tracks, amidst of all the fighting. She had entirely made her way around the large growing rock wall and was now swarmed with humans and magi fighting. Yet her eyes stayed trained on the building that the female had ran into.
Her next choice? The flames had dissipated from her arms and she watched as her fellow Magi were easily thrown to the ground or brutally shot. Her eyes grew wide to show obvious yet fake fear on her face. It was a mad house and she acted as if she hadn’t even noticed. Her next idea? Move to said building she watched the female enter. But she grew silent in her footsteps and had quickly maneuvered her way about the crowd of killing, easily slipping past everyone and moving her way to the two story building.
The woman had slipped by easily. Everyone was distracted by one or another, leaving it for Vashti to slip by unnoticed and once she had done so, she had snuck herself into the two story building. Her eyes gazed up the stairs, cautious of course because she was not sure if the woman had went up the stairs or if she had moved to a different room and was waiting.

Andrea and her leader kept their eyes peeled as they ran in search of their target. The shouted curses and pleas for assistance behind them alerted the pair to the dangers they faced. They’d trained extensively for something like this and each of them even had a few kills to their name, but the chaos was something else entirely. Wherever this earth magi was, he would have to fall quickly if they hoped for reinforcements at any point, which was something they’d sorely need if they hoped to survive this.
The first either of them noticed of the incoming danger was the sound of a cane drumming against the ground. Andrea tilted her head as she caught sight of the distant figure of a man tapping away at the ground. She thought it odd that one man would remain whereas so many others continued to flee for their live and was about to relay as much when the ground beneath them softened with frightening speed.
Andrea’s amulet allowed her to stride through the quicksand as though it weren’t even there, but the blonde-haired leader didn’t fair nearly as well. “Leon,” she shouted as her hand shot out to grasp her leader’s hand. She pulled desperately before her efforts were halted by the solidified earth, leaving Leon trapped up to his mid-thigh.
“Damn it!” Leon shouted. “Forget about me for now! Take that bastard out!” Andrea hesitated for but a moment before nodding the affirmative and turning to face the blind magi.
“You’re going to pay for that!” she shouted, charging into the fray. The female Hunter would engage the blind man with a flurry of kicks and punches aimed at his legs and face. Meanwhile, Leon would reach for the holster belted to his waist and withdraw his handgun. He would take aim at the foe and reach out to Andrea with the link their squad shared. Amid the battle, he would fire a single shot just as Andrea dropped to the ground and aimed a sweeping kick at her opponent’s legs.
The fog was just as dense as it had looked from the outside when Hiro and Sasha entered. Hiro sniffed the air cautiously as he proceeded deeper in, seemingly heedless of the weightiness. However, Sasha was having a far more difficult time of it and his limbs felt heavier with each step he took. “Hey, Hiro, I don’t like this, man,” Sasha would say. “Something isn’t right about this fog. Feels like I’m walking through a swimming pool or something.”
“Get over it,” Hiro would respond. “We’ve got to find that fucking water magi.” Yet, despite his words, Hiro payed close attention to his packmate’s relative position in relation to his own. Sasha was obviously having trouble whereas he wasn’t; something was indeed wrong with this fog.
The realization almost struck him to late when more water materialized from thin air. He would whip his sword from its sheath and cut into the water surrounding him, robbing it of any magical properties. Pain and a sense of immediate danger would flair in his thoughts as his comrade was encircled with boiling water. He would rush to Sasha’s location and stab his blade into the water, again robbing it of any magic and reach into the bubble to rescue his packmate. Upon freeing his friend, Hiro would check for any signs of life. He’d been quick enough and Sasha had survived the sudden assault—albeit severely burned.
Hiro’s features would contort into a snarl as he rose to meet any challenges that might appear in the fog. “Whoever you are, you’re fucking dead!”
Lilly kept calm as she surveyed the area. Her first shot rang out and a rioter’s head exploded in a shower of gore. The next three shot would also strike home, though the danger she sensed radiating from her packmates would stay her hand. Her aim would shift to the fog and the flick of a switch would change her scope to its infrared mode. She would ignore the many heat signatures she spotted in favor of those of her packmates. Blurred blobs in the shape of men caught her sharp eyes. One was sprawled out on the ground while the other twisted in search of some unseen foe.
Her gaze shifted until she caught sight of another heat signature moving towards Hiro’s position. “Hiro,” she would mutter into her headset, “there’s someone moving towards you from seven o’ clock. I’ll provide cover fire from my position. Just swing where I tell you to, alright?” Upon receiving the affirmative, Lilly would prepare to make good on her promise. Her blessing gave her advanced warning that another person was making their way to the roof, but the sound indicated that the person was moving slowly as to not be heard.
She noted the added factor and returned her attention to the enemy blob in her scope. She would take a breath, hold it, and then fire as she released.

yeah, we're not playing around. hunter kiddies are going down. Nothin' else seems to hurt like the smile on your face A gods for real sigh would escape his lips. New blood. Aged hunters were observant, intelligent in the way they approached problems. The blind man act tended to work at least to enough of an extent for the old man to get the upper hand. The white cane would explain why he still remained while others around him had dispersed. Blind folk did not often run, if ever. Running tended to cause more problems than 'hurrying' did with that particular disability.
An experienced hunter most often had a process of taking him into consideration. A pause would come first. Was that an enemy that could harm them? Which would then either branch off into two options. Either he wasn't a threat and they had ought to focus on those that could harm them. Or it was a disguise for a seeing person and would take action at that point. With those darkly tinted sunglasses on, his scars were hidden quite successfully. Truly a blind man could not be a culprit. Such a disability would create too much of a hindrance, surely.
And then there were the fresh faces. The new bloods. The hunters that had more recently gained their stripes to be in the field however, this was not the case. And this was a prime example of it. No thought. No logic. No observation as to ask the "why"s of the situation. It was simply a blind attacking of the nearest being that looked non-human. As annoying as the situation was, hence the sigh filled with exasperation, this would make it easier. Youth made inexperienced mistakes.
The one whose legs had been swallowed up by the earth beneath him would swiftly find himself without any as Elijah would ball up his fist harshly. Where as the ground had simply hardened around his legs previously, now the ground would actively crush to the smallest sliver of inches that was possible. There would be no shooting of guns as long as Elijah could help it. The pain would obviously be of extremes that would cripple even the strongest of foes the world had to offer. Elijah would be damn right impressed if the man was conscious for long.
Any kind of hellish scream that would possibly be made would hopefully distract the girl from her attempt of an attack. Her friend would have just expressed excruciating anguish that could have been caused from any number of the further away crowd from a distance. If this new blood was one who cared for her partner (unknownst to him, boss) perhaps the sound would interrupt any focus that had been on him.
Regardless if this distraction worked or not, Elijah would already be working on his next steps. The girl had not been stopped by his quick sand. Worst case scenario, she had a hunter weapon crafted from a fellow brother of earth. It was best to act out the worst case scenarios that way any plan should work disregarding the factors. If the girl had such an item on her, that would negate any magi magic he could use on her. And that was fine by him.
From the standing wall bits of earth would separate themselves from the build. Any stuck hunters he had trapped would be able to witness the fragments collect with hastened speed. Compacting. Creating makeshift bullets.
That was the thing about his element. With magi crafted fire, lightning bolts, they would merely dissipate into nothingness at the facing of such a weapon. But earth? That shit had existed beforehand, it was not magi created. It was merely manipulated. As long as the earth was manipulated at a distance that could not be affected by the weapon and, say, sent flying at frightening fast speeds, those makeshift bullets would still strike them regardless of a weapon or not. Yes, any force driving the bullets at the whirring speed would halt once entering the weapon's domain. And yes, any force keeping the bullets together would dissipate in the same fashion. But, my friends, that was why you compacted the bullets beforehand.
Where as these young ones weren't overly experienced, the older magi of 163 years was. The bullets would throw themselves in the direction of where those feet were. Some aimed lower, some aimed higher. Head, torso, arms, legs. Elijah wasn't going to just allow some snot nosed newbie to run at him with gods knew what kind of weapon. when it's only in my memory Minnie of GS

Here comes a killer whale
Something was wrong. Nobu sensed it almost immediately after his attempt to boil the pair of Hunters alive. The death meant for one was cut short before it could even begin, while the other was left unfinished as something beyond his sight robbed him of his power. One of their weapons, no doubt, made from the crushed bones of undeserving prey… Of course. Sneering, the lion fish magi altered his course, slipping away from the pair as quietly as he had approached. Clearly, he would have to rethink his strategy—
A shot rang through the air, ricocheting harmlessly off the surface of the bubble surrounding him, and interrupting his thoughts. Whipping around, Nobu stared at the rippling left behind, then shifted his gaze up into the fog overhead. A sniper was present among their enemies— one who could somehow see him through his fog, no less. The fifth Hunter, he was sure, whose presence changed things considerably.
Setting his jaw, Nobu adjusted his course somewhat, dashed back toward the edge of his fog to where he had left Elijah. Since the two in the fog could only move as quickly as their slowest, unless they wanted to split up, he sniper had taken priority. As he went, he would form a mass of bubbles around the pair of Hunters he left behind, scattered and hidden in the mist. If either of the two drew too close, the bubbles would explode immediately, causing severe pain and hopefully hindering the two while he dealt with the shooter on the roof.
As he emerged from the fog, sticking close to Elijah's wall for a bit of extra cover, Nobu would form two more, larger bubbles— one around Elijah to protect him from the Huntress assaulting him, and the other around the sniper the second he spotted her on the roof, aiming to contain her with her rifle. If this was successful, he would materialize more water within the bubble, forming a boiling, concentrated mass around her head. | out of character | Muse

She knew this was dangerous. Vashti knew there was a chance something would happen. There was a possibility she wouldn’t be able to cause much damage or hurt the individual and such a fear rammed into her. She never showed fear of anything but the fear of dying and knowing that a hunter could easily kill her frightened the Fire Magi. Of course, internally she was freaking out but externally she showed no signs of fear and she wouldn’t.
As the woman ventured further into the building, she found her way to the stairs and slowly ascended up them, feet light and her movements swift. The Fire Magi knew at this point she was going to have to use her knowledge and abilities to aid her in taking down the hunter. It was apparent she was here to take down other magi and she had to save her kind. Even though she held a hatred for them, the woman was not about to let anyone else suffer.
Landing on the rooftop, the woman found herself scanning the area almost immediately. As her eyes would focus on the individual with the sniper - if she was able to see her so easily - her first instinct would be to slip out her lighter and quickly light it. The flame would quickly be produced where Vashti would then place the flame into her palm. From their the flame would make it’s way up her arm then travel to her other hand and go up that arm as well. The color of the flame would shift to black to adhere the feeling of fear coursing through her body.
"It is quite unsafe to be up here alone, don't you know?" Vashti's voice would ring out. Her eyes had widened, revealing the feeling of fear that plastered itself on her face. Her mind wandered slightly as she thought. This individual could easily pull out a gun and kill her. The individual could also hold unnatural abilities to aid her in killing magi so Vashti had to be very careful and keep herself at a distance. She planted her feet firmly on the ground as her eyes hardened some. She had to be ready for anything to happen. The magi was not allowed to become distracted and had to be prepared to move out of the way if anything happened.

The young, blonde-haired man barely had enough time to squeeze off his first round when the earth encasing his legs tightened and a muffled cracking of bones set him screaming. The pain fed through his shared link with his packmates to one degree or another, especially to Andrea. Though the young woman couldn’t feel the pain herself, it was still distracting and overrode her concentration, misguiding some of her strikes even before her leader screamed bloody murder at her back. A bubble appeared soon after to further hinder Andrea’s ability to strike her opponent and she lack the weapons to penetrate the shield.
A warring cry would rise from others still trapped in the earth, but to no avail. Projectiles of compacted stone would fly from the wall just as Andrea turned her head to face the oncoming threat. The first projectiles would pierce her feet, drawing a cry from the young huntress. Then, her legs would be shattered a would be swiftly followed by her abdomen and her chest. Finally, the last blow was struck and Andrea stood unsteadily on her feet with her mouth agape. She bled from dozens of wounds as she stared blankly into the distance before finally falling to the ground and breathing a last sigh all the while watched by her leader through eyes clouded by oncoming unconsciousness.
“Andrea…” he would gasp weakly. It was the last thing he said before his vision faded and his body slumped.
Hiro felt his connection with Andrea fade and screamed his sorrow into the mist. His friend had been robbed of him and his leader was in dire straits. Whoever had done this to his packmates would pay for it! He scanned the mist, waiting for an attack he suspected any second. Said attack never came and served only to set him further on edge. He wanted to kill. Needed to kill! Every single magi bastard that got in his way would fucking die!!!
And yet…
The young hunter looked down at Sasha’s ailing form. He could just leave him alone there as easy prey for anyone looking for an easy kill. He’d already lost one of his packmates to this fucking riot and wasn’t about to lose another if he could help it. As much as it pained him to do so, Hiro set aside thoughts of vengeance to heave Sasha onto his shoulder.
“Lilly, I’m getting Sasha out of here,” Hiro said into his comm. “He’s too hurt, and I can’t just leave him.”
“Understood,” came the reply. “I’ll cover you for as long as I can, but my position might be compromised. There’s something in the mist with you, so I’ll guide you out as best as I can.”
“Got it.” Hiro moved after that, doing his best to follow the stream of directions Lilly gave him.
Lilly’s first shot would stop dead in its tracks as it impacted against… something. She would frown at the result, puzzling out what could’ve been strong enough to deflect a bullet. The sound of Hiro’s voice in her ear drew her attention back to the task at hand. He told her about how Sasha had been hurt and that he intended to evacuate him to a safer place. She responded with a promise of support and a warning of something in the mist. Slightly warmer disturbances stood out in the gloom displayed in her scope. Something was off about that factoid and her training dictated that she shouldn’t ignore nothing in a situation such as this where magi were involved.
Her original target started moving in her direction, as did the footsteps of whoever was trying to get the drop on her. She would have to move fast if she expected to live through this and guide her packmates to safety.
Lilly switched her current magazine for one filled with explosive rounds equipped with proximity sensors and fired another two rounds at the approaching magi. She would continue to fire until the magazine was spent and switch for another of the same type.
When the other assailant got a little close for comfort and spoke she would respond with, “Only dangerous for you.” Lilly would then roll to the left—narrowly avoiding the first attempt to ensnare her head—and fire another round before rising to her feet and attempting to leap the gap between the two buildings. If she landed successfully, Lilly would proceed to run in the direction opposite of the carnage while periodically sighting down her scope to guide Hiro safely out of the mist.

Here comes a killer whale
A wicked grin formed on Nobu’s features as he saw the first and second Hunters fall, broken and bloodied. A more satisfying sight, he could not recall. However, the moment of victory was short-lived as a pair of explosion impacted with the bubble protecting him. Though the barrier held, it took all of his effort to maintain it, and for a moment he could focus on nothing else as blast after blast shook him.
Thankfully, there was a brief moment of respite after the barrage as Vashti distracted the sniper, during which the lion fish magi turned to Elijah and shouted, “I need a wall!” Even if the barrier failed to withstand in the end, even a couple shots kept from striking his bubble would buy him some much-needed opportunities.
In the meantime he would move, dashing for the cover of the stone wall already erected as another explosion impacted from behind. The shock forced him to pause, nearly stumbling, but as he did Nobu caught sight of the troublesome shooter leaping to a new rooftop.
It was in the middle of her arc, when she was hopefully incapable of changing direction in midair, that he would strike, aiming to materialize another large bubble around her to capture her before she reached the other building. If he was successful, he would rip the bubble and its captive from the air, slamming both forcefully into the ground, and shouting once more to Elijah. “There are two more in the fog— one injured, one defended against my magic. Can you take them?” | out of character | Muse

thank you for the posty, nobu Nothin' else seems to hurt like the smile on your face There was something about the collapsing of a body. It was harsh. Unmerciful. Blunt. Limp. Elijah's hands relaxed from their previous balled-up fists. The bullets that had missed their target had halted shortly behind the woman, now dropping to the ground uselessly and dry of blood. No further vibrations could be felt from the form that had fallen. Narrowed eyes would alleviate their previous intensity.
She was dead.
Elijah's attention would be removed abruptly shortly afterwards. Nobu's voice would declare a need. One that he was more than willing to assist with. "Covered!" He would call back as his grip on the white cane tightened in his left hand. The earth would rise by his silent command. The water magi wanted a wall? He had a wall. The beginnings of a dome would rise gently curve above, hopefully giving his MLM agent the cover he was asking for.
Two targets had specifically been asked for. One injured, the other assisting them. The problem was, the only set of feet running back towards the wall, away from Nobu's voice, was just that. One pair of feet. There were no two sets of feet to speak of. Upon receiving the request, his brows would furrow in focus. He'd been expecting perhaps one pair of feet assisting a dragged pair. Or perhaps that first set of feet would be assisting a third single foot while the other was being dragged.
It would take the older man a while to decide whether the nearest single pair of feet was the accurately acquired enemy asked of him. There would be time that would pass. The last thing he wanted to do was kill an innocent. The distinguishing mental process had slowly been getting eaten at by the darker stirrings lately. Ever since that strange night of hallucinating that odd Philip character. But for now, his previous belief system was being strongly held onto.
At least it was.
If the pair of feet was running towards the wall, that meant their ally was on the other side. They were running towards safety. ...--apart of the problem. That means they're the enemy. They voted against your people. Elijah's blind eyes snapped a glare in the direction of the steps through the fog. Sunglasses would hide the hatred that had boiled upwards. Even if they're not who Nobu meant, they're apart of the problem. It's beneficial to smite them. That's one less vote against your people, that's one less hateful voice condemning your daughter's future.
With the adrenaline still pumping from his previous kill, and that mysterious dark voice making more and more sense, Elijah would raise up the earthen bullets that he had dropped just moments before. With accuracy displayed with the first hunter who had dared cross him, the blind earth magi would shoot off the bullets in the direction of the figure steeped in fog. when it's only in my memory Minnie of GS
