► So... Lelianna had a neighbor. Yeah that was a thing now. A thing that Lelianna very much was not used to yet. A thing she was very conflicted on. On one hand: a neighbor! The redhead wasn't going to be so horribly lonely any more! She had a neighbor that was really sweet and possibly as awkward (or more) than her socially. It was...strangely nice. Now, on the other hand: a neighbor. She had noooooo idea how to treat a neighbor any more. Or at least out here in the woods where there wasn't really a set dividing line for homes. By the gods, how was the wildlife going to react? Lelianna couldn't help but be a mixed bag of nerves and giddiness whenever she thought on the subject. Which was probably why any other sort of interaction between the two after that first, stellar introduction was...awkward. They were both awkward so yes it was bound to happen. Awkward dorks unite! However Lelianna still thought Caroline was sweet (even with their introduction). Though she wasn't always there whenever Lelianna decided she should just cautiously peek in to see how the girl was doing. The redhead never questioned where she went, though she was often curious. How could she not? On those days she usually just left with a shrug to tend to her garden or wherever Arecia pulled her. But today she was glad to see Caroline gone. Because today she had a gift. She'd remembered the flower Caroline had seemed so keen on. It had taken her some time to find all the seeds she would need, but one day when Caro wasn't there Lelianna decided to do some decorating. And by decorating I mean make another miniature garden. Only this time it wasn't some crazily diversified thing. No this time Lelianna had planned on one singular flower to dominate this one. Carefully the redhead planted the seeds and grew them nearby the other woman's tent. It had been going very well, actually, and Lelianna was pretty proud of how it turned out. She just stood up and was brushing off the dirt from her hands when she heard someone coming. Her head snapped to the side with wide eyes. Caroline was coming back! With a small yelp Lelianna grabbed her staff. Shoot she didn't want to get caught! Even though what she was doing wasn't...actually anything bad to be perfectly honest. But If Caroline found her it would just be...weird. here she was snooping around the woman's things! So without much hesitation at all Lelianna suddenly made a mad dash towards her thicket and soon her garden. Hopefully she hadn't been spotted. That wasn't a vain hope, right? With her luck? Right...

Notes Can't escape an old officer that easily. | I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS Another day, another pair of hunter corpses left to feed the wildlife. At least they did something good in their lives. Weren't worth the bullets, but the refugees they were stalking would probably have turned on Caroline if they'd seen her. Or maybe not. Lately, she was wondering if she would be able to talk to them ever, but... well, it would be best not to, anyway. Do the task and get out. She pushed the hood back on her cloak when she got closer to camp. It was a simple brown, cloth cloak, though maybe poncho was a better word for it, since it covered her front, too. It was better for everyone if she concealed her identity as much as possible. Plus it seemed to have a strong psychological effect on hunters. Just what was the news saying about her, anyway? She stopped moving at the flicker of vegetation moving. It could be an animal, but it was too close to camp to tell. With a mental command, her vision faded into the grays of thermal detection, and her cybernetic eye twisted and whirred as it zoomed in on the area. There was a person there, a dead giveaway with their heat signature. She switched from thermal to normal vision and... “Lelianna?” She called out, emerging from the thick brush by her tent. “Is that you? Were you looking for...” Her eye drifted down to view the now very different scenery around her modest campsite. “...Me?” She finished, her words soft with confusion. She stepped slowly towards the new flowers and knelt in front of them, gently taking one of the blossoms in her hand. Morning Glory. Her favorite. “Did you... grow these here?” She looked over to the magi, who seemed to be full of surprises every day. “Why?” The question was asked with nothing but curiosity. No scoff, no annoyance, no indication that she thought Lelianna was up to no good. She did cast a glance around at her things, which seemed to be left alone. She did sneak a quick peak into her tent to make sure her most important possession was still safe and hidden. As she expected, it was. Lelianna did not seem untrustworthy, but old habits died hard, it seemed. Satisfied, she pulled her head from the tent and put her attention back to her neighbor, and the new mini-garden. She had to admit, it did brighten up the barren dirt circle considerably. |

► “Lelianna?”
...Well so much for that plan!
Since she'd of course been spotted, the redhead slowed down to a halt. She winced and her shoulders rode high with guilt at being caught. At this point she was convinced she just had the worst luck when it came to things like this. She always got caught! Or walked in on! Or found in an embarrassing situation! Every time! Was one of the gods just getting a kick out of it? Maybe it was Arecia...The hermit wouldn't put it past the woods.
With that rather odd sounding thought, Lelianna slowly turned around.
Caroline had trailed off when she noticed the flowers. Which was a good thing! Right? Slowly Lelianna approached again. Like a little kid coming forward after stealing from the cookie jar. Except this was technically a good thing she'd done and really she shouldn't be feeling guilty at all. Oh well. When Caroline questioned why exactly the magi had done this, said magi blushed. "Ummm...W-Well I.....Y-you really seemed to like this particular flower so...s-so I thought it might be nice to...y'know...grow you some?" She finished lamely, watching as Caroline disappeared in her tent for a moment.
Lelianna thought nothing of it, instead glancing at the flowers she'd just planted. Looking at those helped her gather herself so she wasn't such a stammering fool. "That and....I guess I just wanted to give you something. I don't know." She kept staring at the flowers. That helped her calm down enough. "I-I'm just...I never really had a neighbor before so I....thought I should do something nice is all. I-I guess I'm just excited and figured I should...get you a gift to brighten the place up. A...tentwarming gift?" Though her cheeks were still red, now she looked pensive. "Or a....groundwarming...gift? Umm....hmmm...." After a second she shook her head. "Uhh...A-anyways I ah....Sorry I probably should've asked permission first."

Notes -Pulls the pin on the excitement grenade-
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS Lelianna was blushing an awful lot- almost as much as she stammered. It was certainly endearing. Cute, even. Did she… oh, whoops. Caroline’s skin tinged the slightest of reds once she figured out it sounded more like an accusation than anything. She smiled and examined the flowers. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make it sound like I didn’t like them,” she said. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the scent of the colorful blooms. She laughed lightly at tentwarming and groundwarming. “I can’t believe you noticed that about me. You’re right; these are my favorites.” She scratched the back of her head and stood. “I’m… not used to receiving gifts. Thank you. You have a talent for pleasant surprises.” Surprises in her old line of work were awful things. If anything, she was glad she wasn’t jumpy around Lelianna, as if unlocking her mind calmed down her paranoid reflexes developed over the last eight years. And hey, she didn’t pull a gun on her this time. She looked around her modest camp. It was a flattened dirt patch in a small clearing, surrounded by tall shrubs and trees to keep it hidden. Her only possessions were the tent, and several heavy-duty metal boxes for storage of ammunition and other supplies. The rest of it looked… barren. Less so, now. It was fine by her before, but now that Lelianna spruced it up a bit, it felt improved nonetheless. “I’m curious, though,” she said. “How… did you grow them so quickly? I was only gone since morning.” She would listen intently to any explanation Lelianna would give, and watch any demonstration if she felt like giving one instead. It would fascinate Caroline, no doubt, no matter how thorough or brief the explanation. She’d only ever been able to take lives, and Lelianna could so easily sprout new ones. Well, now she had her life back. Maybe she could try to do something good with it (Besides removing bad people, that is). She removed her cloak and hung it on a hook attached to the front of the tent, leaving her in just her black tank top. Her precision rifle, folded into a compact metal box, hung on her lower back. She removed the strap and placed the folded weapon into the tent, along with her bandolier which contained many pockets for carrying ammunition. She rolled her shoulders and stretched her powerful arms over her head. With a few steps, she stood in front of the magi. “Lelianna. Could you teach me to do… that?” She asked. “Not the magic. Just… how to grow flowers as well as you do. Or close, at least.”

► Oh thank the gods she actually liked them. A sigh of relief slipped out of Lelianna's lips in a rush. The form of the magi visible relaxed. There was, for a second there, real worry that she'd messed up some how. Maybe she'd gotten the wrong flower? Or maybe it was in the wrong color. "You’re right; these are my favorites.”Thank the gods for small favors. Although it was kind of disheartening to hear Caroline wasn't used to getting gifts. Lelianna was but then again she was a hermit so...yeah. But Caroline? She seemed so sweet it was really a shame. "I uh....I try." Came the response to the compliment, keeping that darn blush firmly planted (ha) on her face. She really did try though. No, seriously. She had no idea what she was doing most of the time but damn it she would try her hardest. It was the thought that counted, right? Gods she hoped so... Finally Lelianna looked up from the flowers when Caroline asked her next question. How did she grow the plants? Easy enough to answer. "Oh! Well my powers really help me there. Ah, let me show you." Relaxing a bit since this was an easy topic for her, Lelianna pulled out a seed from one of her pouches and put it on the ground. Crouched there the redhead focused on the seedling and extended her power. Though she really didn't need to, Lelianna kept her hands close to the plant as it grew out from the ground swiftly in a burst of lilac. A smile spread across her face as the redhead gently touched one of the newly formed blooms. "My magic makes them grow faster, but I like maintaining them by hand mostly." Meanwhile the hermit's green gaze flicked between her spontaneous addition to Caroline's "garden" and the morning glories. Whoops. "Ah....sorry let me just..." Focusing on her power once more, Lelianna dug her hands into the ground where the miniature tree has just started to grown. Carefully she removed it altogether, roots and all, from the ground and held it in one of her hands. "S-Sorry. Didn't mean to add that. U-Unless you'd like to keep it?" As she held it the little sapling-like plant began to shift and grow, snaking around the arm that held it until it was firmly attached to Lelianna's limb and basically worked as one hell of a sleeve decoration. On the hermit's part, she didn't really seem worried. If Caroline did still want it, Lelianna would gladly replant it into the ground. Otherwise she turned her head towards it slightly." Sorry boo; I'll find you someplace good. She muttered under her breath to the colorful thing before realizing; hey, Caroline was still there. At first Lelianna had no idea why Caroline was approaching her. However the moment the cyborg asked to be taught, the magi froze. She wanted her to what?Did... Did someone actually ask Lelianna to teach them how to garden? The effects were slow at first. Initially all Lelianna could do was stare, her voice temporarily paralyzed with shock. After a few heartbeats, her brain would process the question again and actually register it within the girl. Then her face would react: first her eyes widened, the emerald green staring with a hint of disbelief before that turned to realization and that turned to exponentially growing giddiness and excitement. At that stage her lips would tug upwards until her face was nearly split with a smile. Simultaneously, the rest of her would respond. Flowers bright and plentiful started to bloom all over the magi's hair as her excitement started to reach it's peak. Unlike last time it didn't form a wreath. It was more of a curtain really, covering the redhead's locks in a wild array of color. If the small lilac tree was still in her hand her happiness would accidentally extend to it as well. Now the magi was absolutely covered in colorful plantlife and feeling far, far too giddy for her own good. " Really!?" Goodness it nearly came out as a squeak. Lelianna tried biting her lip (or covering the smile with her free hand if she had it) to stay even remotely calm so she could actually respond. Yet it was in vain. Someone actually wanted to learn about gardening! And have Lelianna teach them! Never in a million years did she think something like that would happen! But now here was Caroline! The hermit felt far, far too energized for her own good to the point the surrounding greenery (even if she hadn't been holding the lilac tree) were starting to react in kind and grow further. "I would love to!!!" She exclaimed. Wait was that too loud? "O-Oh sorry I-I'm just...Yes! I-I'd...I-I-I'd love to teach you i-if you really want to!" The words came out in a stuttering mess but this time due to her happy jitters rather than awkwardness. Which surely would come later when she realized how strongly she was reacting to this. For goodness sake, you damn hippie, calm down.

Notes Oops she let some hints drop.
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS As expected, the display wowed Caroline. She’d only ever seen magic as a destructive force, an enemy, something to fear. And yet here Lelianna was making plants bloom unlike any she’d ever seen. Her mouth was slightly agape the entire time. “Huh? O-oh! It’s very nice, I like those too. You can leave it here.” And then came the excitement explosion. Caroline’s slightly open mouth fully opened at the beautiful burst of blooms falling from Lelianna’s head into a curtain of flowers. Flowers of all kinds and colors sprouted at impossible speeds. It was just like seeing the flower field for the first time, but somehow this was better. Not only was it a beautiful sight by itself, but the excitement on Lelianna’s face- and even Caroline could identify that feeling- really completed the feeling. She couldn’t help but raise her brows and turn her gaping mouth into a wide grin. Such a simple request really made her so… excited? No, not just excited. Happy. It warmed Caroline’s heart (not literally, of course, but the human brain knew how to project that feeling into her chest all the same). Killing hunters was satisfying. Killing her father was extremely satisfying. But this? This was on an entirely new level. She had the capability to make someone… happy? There was something she never expected to do again. She did flinch back at her unexpected yell. “No, no it’s okay,” she said. “It’s nice to see you so excited. Don’t apologize for that. I… am interested in learning, yes,” she said. She averted her eyes slightly and scratched her upper arm. “But from what I can remember, I’m very bad at it. I don’t have many skills at all, really. I would like to learn this one, though. It would be nice to…” Do good things? Make life instead of taking it? Yeah that… probably wasn’t a conversation for now. “Uh. Have… a hobby?” Yeah that was better.

► Happy? Impossibly overjoyed was probably a better fit for the situation. Because oh boy was Lelianna excited.
At Caroline's wish she'd put the lilac tree down. However that didn't save it from the burst of excited energy that surged out of the redhead. Or should we say flowerhead at this point. The little blooms were crowding into any pocket of space that was available for them to sprout from. Trimming her hair after this was definitely going to be a long and tedious process. However at the current moment in time the flowers were forgotten. The most important thing at the moment was that Lelianna actually had a willing person to teach. maybe a little downtrodden and doubtful from the sounds of it, but willing all the same.
That was all Lelianna needed.
"That's ok! We can start off small! Oh jeez..." The redhead need a second to take a breath and calm herself. It...didn't really work that much. "Um...Okay. Ah...Oh goodness where should we..." Should they go back to Lelianna's garden to try first? Should Lelianna try teach her here? Which would be a better environment? The thoughts were flying in Lelianna's brain so quickly they were hard to catch. Eventually she latched onto one that made sense and ran with it. "M-maybe we should head back to my cabin first and get seeds. Start you off with something easier to grow." Whether she was talking to Caroline or herself was sort of a mystery. However she started backing up and gesturing for Caroline to follow. "Yeah, that sounds like it would be the best bet. Here, I'll take you!"
Hopefully Caroline was keeping up with the hermit's energized notions and motions because she was already heading off towards her house.
The pace was set pretty quick. Not to be rude or anything but the magi was running on sheer good vibes at the moment. It was like the first day of spring had come all over again. Her fingers itched; she felt horribly happy; the need to run coursed through every fiber of her so strongly. But no no, she couldn't dash off and leave Caroline behind like that. So the hermit barely managed to restrain herself from outright sprinting. Though there was a noticeable bounce in her stride as she took Caroline into her garden and towards its center. As they walked through the tangle of the wild, plants were still reacting to the redhead's mood. It was inadvertent really.
With the rate Lelianna was going at they reached her home in no time. The cabin was as overgrown as ever; man-shaped wood merged with living tree and greenery. However with the seasons changing it too was starting to bloom and come to "life." Lelianna brightened (if that was even possible at this point) when it came into view. "I think I know just the plant to start you off! A flower of course. And fortunately aquilegia are really easy and really pretty to maintain and grow!" The redhead rattled off over her shoulder as she headed inside. She managed to bump her antlers (again) off the doorframe but this time she barely spared it more than an "ow!" and a rub of the hit bone as she continued on.
The inside was just as overgrown as the outside, and showed some sign of this place having been derelict before Lelianna found it and nature took over. One wall was actually a tree and a good portion of the ceiling was made up of its branches interconnecting to fill in the space. Vines and branches and plants grew along most of the interior too, similarly blooming now in the warmer season like the garden outside. Though truthfully this place was just as much the garden as any other part. Lelianna went over to one section, where numerous bags and sacks laid in some kind of order with small writing on some parts of them. There were easily hundreds of the things. "Ah, give me just a moment I'll find it."

Notes It's a good thing she's inherently a rock, otherwise Lelianna would have made her have an emotion overload by now with all this excitement and rushing around
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS Her eye widened at the burst of the plant springing to life, as if she’d dropped some sort of nature grenade on the ground. For a second she was worried that Lelianna might just become a flower, at the rate her hair was growing. Or, maybe that’s normal for her? Caroline had a hard time figuring out which of Lelianna’s quirks were normal and which were unusual for her. As if she wasn’t already confused before. “Your cab-oh, oh! Sure,” she said, unable to finish her first thought before Lelianna was off to the races. And she did treat it like a race. Caroline smirked a few times, actually; Lelianna looked like she was practically prancing now, more deer than human with her bouncing steps and antlers. Caroline was actually hard-pressed to find a decent pace to keep up. She was a bit slower than a normal person, given the thicker metal of her chassis, and Lelianna was light on her feet. She settled somewhere between a powerwalk and a jog. Gods, it was like playing with the kids, almost; running outside, moods high, sun beaming down… She couldn’t even begin to dwell on negative emotions. Lelianna’s infectious mood made it an impossibility. She wasn’t sure what she expected, but when she saw the cabin? Yeah, that seemed very… Lelianna. She turned some clearly dilapidated shack into something lively and beautiful. Those two words came up in her mind an awful lot when she was around the magi. “Aquilegia… I don’t know that one, I think,” she said. She cringed (but also laughed a little) at Lelianna’s collision and followed her inside. And…. Yeah the inside was exactly what she’d expected, too. It was very nice, actually, how everything seemed to come together. Man-made product and nature’s influence, bound together into one incredible thing. “It’s a beautiful home,” she said, her gaze looking all around. She took a few steps here and there, waiting for Lelianna to finish doing her thing. She gently placed her hand on a wall. Or… tree? Both? “Much nicer than a tent, certainly. Sturdier, too.” She hmm’d and then made a short laugh. “Flowers, bushes, plants… and houses. Is there anything you can’t grow? It’s very impressive.”

► Caroline was right; the redhead practically was prancing at this point. Maybe it was due to her tie with her deer aspect or maybe just sheer force of good feels. Whatever the case she was moving and doing so happily. "Aquilegia is very pretty. It can come in all sorts of different colors; even combinations! That and they set seeds so they'll basically renew themselves once you get some established." The hermit explained while they moved. When they got inside the energy didn't dissipate. The hermit was busy rifling through the different labeled bags to find exactly the right seeds she wanted, humming a little all the while and setting her staff aside.
Minorly distracted, Lelianna only half turned her head towards Caroline's voice. "Hmm? Oh! Thank you, but Arecia-- er, the woods had mostly reclaimed this place when I got here. I only shaped a bit of it." And indeed there were parts that looked like they had been shaped by an earth magi's influence. Branches along the walls conveniently formed into shelves. The crisscrossing of the foliage above so perfectly making up for the missing section of ceiling. The lack of obstructing plant-life sprouting in the middle of the cabin. Clearly the redhead had done something to help make the shelter what it was now. As she had said, however, most of it was already shaped by the gradual takeover of nature itself.
"Aha!" With a triumphant exclamation the hermit whipped around with a bag in her arms. "Found it! Now we can-- Stewart!" As the redhead had been searching, the purplette had coincidentally walked right under where her sloth friend had been residing. Right when she turned to display her find to Caroline, Lelianna got to see the sloth suddenly drop from it's perch to land right on top of Caroline's head. Dropping the bag for the moment, the magi rushed over. Hopefully neither of them were hurt!
"I'm sorry! Usually he pulls stunts like that with me. I've been trying to teach him not to for, ah, obvious reasons." Namely pointy antler one and pointy antler two. Stopping before Caroline, the hermit bit her lip in thought for a second. "Um...please excuse me for a sec. I just need to..." Trailing off Lelianna carefully reached up and detached the little creature from Caroline's head. Then she held the sloth in her arms, huffing a little. "Stewart! You can't go doing that to guests." Scolded, the sloth slowly turned it's head to look at the magi who now cradled it in her arms. One lone claw reached up and tapped her on the nose. Lelianna huffed again but now she was fighting off a bit of a smile. "You can't just boop me on the nose and make everything better every time! That's hardly fair..." Mumbling the last part Lelianna soon remembered: Caroline.
"Oh! Um...this is Stewart." She explained, smiling a little sheepishly. "I found him since he was young and well...We've been cabin-mates ever since." Turning her green eyes back to the sloth, Lelianna said: "Stewart you should at least be polite enough to say hi to the person you used as a landing cushion!" The sloth gradually turn it's head to look at Caroline for a few seconds before looking back at the magi and starting to wrap around her. Now Lelianna really couldn't fight off a smile. "You....You fuzz butt. No manners at all."

Notes It's just a sloth, Caro; nothing to lose your head over
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS Getting some established was going to be the trick. Unless she hasn’t gotten to the memories where she learned how to keep plants alive, her recent glimpses into her past indicated that this was going to be anything but easy. She simply nodded along with Lelianna’s chatter, and then looked around in confusion at her exclamation… until she felt a sudden fuzzy weight on her head. Her reactions kicked in; whenever someone grabbed her by the head, she responded by detaching it. Small clinks indicated her head’s locks were free, and it fell forward into her hands. She couldn’t see what was on top of her head but knowing this place? Probably some animal or another. “Oh, no, that’s okay,” she said, and held out her head so Lelianna could retrieve her friend. She watched them interact as she put her head back on her shoulders. She couldn’t help but smile at the friendly lecture. My, this really did remind her of the kids; you want to lecture them, but can’t find it in you to be mad at someone so precious. She chuckled at the boop and Lelianna’s deflated defeat. “Ah, hello, Stewart,” she said. “Are sloths native to the area? I’m afraid I don’t know much about the woods, but I’ve never seen one. Or heard of anyone seeing one.” She grinned at Lelianna’s growing smile. Ah, the power of small, cute things. They’re powerful enough to make even the… old her… feel something akin to happiness. To someone like Lelianna it must be impossible to fight. Even Caroline found the odd creature endearing. “So, you said you found the seeds, then? You have… quite the collection. Not that I should be surprised.”

► Wanna know one quick way to shut Lelianna up quick? Detach your head; works like a charm.
Despite having seen it occur once before, the magi couldn't help but pause seeing Caroline's head come off. Maybe it was normal to Caroline but for someone where it was normally fatal for that to happen...yeah Lelianna seriously doubted she was ever going to get used to seeing that. It was thanks mainly to her energy infused and excited nature that she was able to move on after only a second of wide-eyed shock. Stewart certainly helped her focus on something else as she scolded the little thing. By then Caroline had also reattached her head, so that helped too.
Detachable heads. Gods, what a concept.
"I don't believe so." Lelianna confessed with a little shrug. In all her years staying in Arecia, she'd never seen another sloth. Though she couldn't claim to have combed every rock and tree and creature, she'd seen a fair amount. The only way she'd figured out how to care for the little fellow was by visiting Haven and asking someone to look up some information. After that she'd figured everything else out on her own with trial and error. "Truth be told I...I don't really know where Stewart came from." One way or another though, the sloth had found his way to the woods and then into Lelianna's arms. her smile definitely grew fond thinking of that.
Though they had flowers to grow!
Remembering that little detail from Caroline's prompting, green eyes snapped back up. "Oh! Rightrightright." Pushing her flower-covered hair to one side (and semi-registering how many had grown) the hermit carefully maneuvered Stewart until the sloth was clinging onto her back like a backpack. Stewart's head rested on Lelianna's shoulder as she hurried over to re-retrieved the bag she'd dropped. Then she happily showed it to Caroline. "Here we are! We'll just have to go find a nice open space to place it so I can show you! Oh and I'll probably need to get you a pot to hold the first flower in. Here please hold this." Once more set at 11 speed, the magi put the bag in Caroline's hands (whether she was ready or not) before hurrying over to one of the living extensions of her home.
Reaching out she lightly touched the wood and whispered a few words. As she withdrew her hand a growth of wood followed it and she slowly shaped it into a decent size little bowl. After it was fully formed she carefully snapped the piece off and returned the living branch to normal with a grateful smile. "Thank you." She said sincerely before moving back over to Caroline. The grateful smile once again returned to beaming and clearly happy. "Now we can go! I'll take that; you can carry this since you'll keep it!" In a swift motion the magi was already trading the bag in Caroline's hands for the newly formed wooden bowl. Then next thing you knew the magi was heading back out the door again.
"This way! I think I know just the spot! I was planning on extending the garden a little anyways, so you can help me!" Even though it technically didn't really need any more extending. However the redhead just didn't know when to quit and hey, no one had ever tried to stop her so...she didn't. Now she happily "pranced" (even with the bag in her hands) off to find them a spot to plant. "There will be plenty of room for you to learn the basics and everything. I'll take you step-by-step if you really want." She called back over her shoulder, her pace once more fast unintentionally. probably if Caroline looked she could catch glimpses of the sloth hanging on underneath that curtain of red hair and vibrant flowers from time to time.

Notes Military cybernetics in 2593: no match for an excited deer-woman
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS Caroline, still oblivious to how absolutely traumatizing it is to see someone casually decapitate themselves, rolled her shoulders and bent her neck, making sure everything was secure. Hopefully the sudden drop forward didn’t give Stewart too much of a start. “Huh, is that so?” She said, and eyed the adorable little fuzzball curiously. “Well, he seems happy enough here, at least.” At this point, it wasn’t even worth questioning. She was no botanist but she was pretty sure a bunch of these plants weren’t native to Ethea, so why not include some animals, too? At this point Lelianna could grow a cactus underwater and it wouldn’t surprise her. Caroline stood and did as Lelianna asked during the blur of time it took her to go back and forth and get everything. Her sensors, HUD, subsystems… all were meant to give her an edge in combat and keep track of even the fastest opponents in the heat of a confusing battle, and here was a deer-girl giving them all a run for what they were worth. She could shoot a bullet out of mid-air but she barely registered that the objects in her hands appeared and disappeared. Before she knew it, Lelianna was ready to go and out the door. “Ah, uh, right,” she said, shaking her head and following the excitable woman. She examined the bowl, too; just like that, by asking a tree nicely, she had this. That was weird, right? Like, magic was already odd, but unless it was being used to try and kill her, Caroline was wholly unfamiliar with it. She couldn’t get around the idea that this was a normal thing. She had to jog to keep up with the woman, and found that she couldn’t keep her eyes off the flower locks of… flowers… that bounced and flowed as she pranced ahead. She caught glimpses of hair here and there, which confirmed that Stewart was still hanging on. He must have a tough grip to ride that rodeo. “Yeah, ah, step by step would be the best, I think,” she called. “I really have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to… gardening.” Or anything other than punching and shooting people, really. Gods, she really was just a killing machine, wasn’t she? There was no way this lesson was going to end well.

► Stewart certainly was content where he was. Lelianna took as well care of him as she did her garden. But neither of them had much time to dwell on it since Lelianna was already moving at sonic speed and out the door before much more conversation could be had. Quickly the two made their way through the wild lands of Lelianna's garden. Still going on those good vibes, Lelianna's power was still making some of the plants they passed react. Not as much as eariler but certainly enough to be noticeable. "I'll try my best to teach you." Lelianna promised with a bright smile thrown over her shoulder. "You'll grow something I swear!" With that proclamation the two continued on past the plethora of greenery that made up the earth magi's domain. Eventually they came to the edge where the vegetation was not quite so thick. Lelianna finally slowed down her pace to glance around and find a spot. There was a bit of free earth in one spot, so she walked her way over and dropped to her knees in the dirt without a note of hesitation. "Here we are!" She called back at Caroline, shifting a little to be comfortable. Gesturing to the spot next to her, Lelianna reached within the bag and draw out a seed. "Ok! So this is an aquilegia seed. They're really, really pretty when they bloom." Placing the seed on the ground, Lelianna took a breath and then lifted her hand. As she did a green tendril of vegetation followed her hand until it began to bloom into a flower. She halted as the seed pods started to form too, looking over at Caroline. "See? they also tend to cross pollinate so if you have a bunch of different colors they can end up combining! Now here," Reaching into her bag again the hermit pulled out another seed. A seed which she offered to the purplette beside her. "Now I'll admit that these on their own can take a while to bloom, so I'll help you a little with that, but ah...let's start with the basics." Turning a bit more towards Caroline, Lelianna got right into it. "Plants have a lot of different preferences for how they like to be treated. Like the aquilegia, for instance, you really don't need to bury much. It just needs a bit of dirt put over it so it can get better sun." Taking out another seed, Lelianna showed her. "After that it needs plenty of water to keep the ground moist." It was at this point Lelianna realized she'd just been going on for a while. "Oh! Um, did you have any questions?"

Notes Here comes a thought
I AM NOT MERCIFUL I AM NOT KIND I AM NOT AFRAID TO MAKE YOU WISH THAT I WAS I’ll try my best to teach you! You’ll grow something, I swear!Caroline stopped. The world around Lelianna seemed to move in slow motion: the gentle turning of her head, her bright smile, the way her flowered hair bounced and flowed with her movement, the floral scents in the air, the way sunlight broke through the trees in small beams and lit up the magi… Caroline stopped, and took it all in with an awestruck stare. A warm and unfamiliar feeling welled in her chest. It was like… happiness, but more… full, more complete. Her skin simulated a deep blush in response to what her brain was trying to tell her. She was beautiful, and kind, and more than anything… she believed in her. She took to her and trusted her without a second thought, and clearly believed that Caroline could be good at something other than what she was built for. Was this… actual happiness? True friendship? Eventually she willed her legs to move forward, mind still swimming with these strong feelings. She wasn’t certain what it was, or what it meant, but it was nice, and there was no doubt in her mind that she enjoyed spending time with the energetic magi. She took her mind off the harder parts of her new life. But for some reason she felt tongue-tied trying to voice them, so she simply remained silent and followed along. She knelt down like Lelianna in the indicated dirt patch. She watched like a child at a magic show as Lelianna placed the seed in the ground and effortlessly grew a flower mere moments later. She was never going to get used to that. “It’s very pretty,” she said. “The colors are nice.” She took the offered seed with only the slightest of hesitation, and brought it up to eye level to examine it, twisting it around in her thumb and finger. The basics, huh? “Okay then, I’m listening.” She nodded along with the lesson. “That makes sense,” she said. “So… a little dirt, and a lot of water? I think I’m following so far, thank you.” She copied Lelianna’s lesson, creating a shallow divot with her finger and gently placing the seed inside. Her face was serious with concentration. Gently, she pushed the dirt back over it. That… didn’t seem so hard. “Did you, ah, bring water with you?” She asked.

► Perhaps fortunately for Caroline the energy from the anticipation was still driving Lelianna ever forward. She did not see the deep blush that grew consequently from what she'd done. However she also did not see that her friend had stopped and was now nearly being left in the dust as the light-footed magi kept up her swift pace. The good thing was that if Caroline lost sight of her it wouldn't be too hard to track her down. The plantlife reacting to the overexcited magi worked as quite the colorful and telling trail of hypothetical breadcrumbs.
Once they got to their destination and Lelianna began her explaining, she managed to relax somewhat. Talking at the speed of light certainly wasn't going to be very helpful to her friend! Good news was that Caroline seemed actually interested in learning how to do this, and Lelianna (according to the purplette) wasn't going too fast. It was also actually kind of adorable how much concentration she was putting into placing the seed on the ground and simply covering it with dirt. Though Lelianna bit her lip and smiled a little, she refrained from giggling. Which, to be honest, was pretty damn hard at the moment considering she was still in a somewhat giddy mood.
However the mention of water did wonders to quell that for a second or two.
Raising a finger and inhaling to reply, the breath caught in her throat as she glanced around. Soon the gesture became a fist she covered her mouth with as a frown overtook her face. "....Shoot." She mumbled, smacking her forehead with her palm. Of course she just had to forget the water didn't she? "Sorry I'm usually used to using my powers now for it. Uuuuuuugh how could I forget water?" Buring her face in both hands, they soon slid up to idly run through her petal covered hair as she tried to think. "Where to...Oh! I guess actually we could use this." Realizing something, green eyes popped open again. Lelianna unattached the waterskin by her hip. "Well there's a saved trip to a stream!" She reported cheerfully before uncapping the thing.
"Okay so for these it's simply important that you keep the ground pretty moist. They like water so you'll likely want to water these probably about...maybe twice a day just to keep the soil at a good moist level for them." After saying that Lelianna carefully dispensed some of her water onto the ground where she'd put her second seed down just to show Caroline what to do. Then she handed the waterskin over to the other woman to try on her own. "Fortunately the soil around here is pretty good so there's not much else to worry about other than that. Though you do want to make sure it gets a good deal of sun too. Aquilegia can handle direct sunlight." Whenever Caroline was done she'd take the waterskin back and then lightly press a finger to the now wet dirt Caroline had watered, gesturing with her head for Caroline to do the same. "The soil will drink up the water and carry it below, but you can feeling whether or not it's decently watered. As long as it isn't bone dry, it should be fine. So long as you remember to water it. If it rains you won't have to worry about watering yourself; nature will take care of it for that day. Any questions up to this point?"
