[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] A REPRIEVE The small diner was mostly empty during the early dawn, which suited Maevia just fine. Dull sunlight shone down on her booth, located in the far back. It was quiet, save for bustle in the kitchen. The air was heavy with the smell of fresh coffee, and it mingled with the gentle smoke of her cigarette; she had switched from the standard brand to cloves, which came in sweet flavors and a variety of scents. She knew he still disliked it.[break][break] In front of her sat a half-full cup of coffee, and a barely-touched short pancake stack. Wisps of smoke danced from the freshly lit cigarette in the ashtray. Her ears were on the idle conversation of staff and customers, her mind always jotting notes. Her hands were busy with another puzzle, a 12-sided rubik’s cube, which she was most of the way through solving. She didn’t often take this sort of relaxation time to herself; it was difficult to unwind, and even now her mind raced with dozens of tasks she could be doing instead. But she was human, mostly, and couldn’t eat ramen for EVERY meal. It was also good to depend on her own eyes, instead of her agents.[break][break] She let her permanently dark-bagged eyes drift up to look out the window, and took a drink from her cooling coffee. This was a good area. Not by most standards, of course; it was just on the outskirts of the known black market area. It was a perfect place to see a mix of criminals, suppliers, and sometimes even regular people; regardless of their background, most were just people looking for a cheap, warm meal. It was a good front, too; not many knew that behind the charming diner area was a haven of illegal gambling and drug trade. They did an excellent job keeping it on the down low, though her agent here fed her wonderful details. All for the low price of feeding his gambling addiction by making debts disappear.[break][break] Her mind drifted back to work, as always. Her deal with him had worked out wonderfully for her; it was the key to her rapid dominance of the Dagos information market these last years. Even Anansi had to be impressed. An impenetrable network, ruthless reputation, and a web of favors was hers. She idly wrapped her lips around a forkful of pancake. She had not spoken to Kupiec very much after that, and only then to give him information he could use. She was thankful for that; he was useful, but often trouble.[break][break] As the morning went on, more customers trickled into the diner. Her hands idly worked the puzzle while her eyes and ears gathered information. She received a few shy, wayward glances in her direction; her cybernetic eye certainly did get looks, as it was rare to see any that didn’t blend seamlessly into the face. Hers was obvious metal, with wires weaving through the skin around it; an old model, and one she had customized herself. Her arm was much the same, although it was always covered by her hoodie, and so didn’t gather quite the same amount of attention. She pulled her hood further over her face. It was always annoying to feel those eyes on her. They were fleeting, but being watched always made her skin crawl.[break][break] Tags: kyne , Kupiec [break][break] [attr="class","iconie"] [newclass=.biggie]-webkit-transitionduration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover]margin-left:-300px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie]opacity:0;margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:285px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#000000;border:solid 1px #000000;color:#e4e0e0;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:10px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .textie]opacity:1;margin-left:610px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#000000;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#9589a0;border:2px solid #e4e0e0;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconie]opacity:0;margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .iconie]opacity:1;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsie]opacity:0;font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .tagsie]opacity:1;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass]

هل يهمك لعقد صفقة؟
Kupiec's yellow eyes glistened in promise as he reached out a polite hand to the young woman. Every action precise. The smile upon his human form's lips curled to the accurate angle to be considered kind and sincere. The brow lifted just a tad to insinuate a sense of mischief. With the God's natural form being faceless He had to admit that manipulating facial features to express or manipulate was rather enjoyable for him. Over the, oh, you know, the amount of time existing from the birth of creation, he had grown rather talented in the area of expertise that was "facial expression".
"Come along, my dear." The God stated with an air of etiquette and propriety. "I will take you now." The deal had already been made. The Magi had been given time to heal her wounds. Now it was time for two of his followers to meet in a fashion that was sure to piss off the green haired dove. Oh, he was going to enjoy this.
Upon Kyne taking his offered hand He would pull her close. "Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Don't open them, don't pull away from me, and don't inhale until I say you can. Do you understand?" With being given the affirmative answer His loyal follower would obviously give him the two disappeared --
-- toooooo reappear. "Alright, dear. You can relax again." The scenery around them would indeed be quite different. Within seconds of time that seemed the fly past them, Kyne would find herself not only in a diner but also suddenly seated at a booth. On her right would be seated her God of Commerce. On the other side of table however, "Maevia!" Kupiec exclaimed in a delighted voice. Not loud enough to obtain any attention but definitely at a volume that would assuredly cause an unexpected mortal a startling. "My dear, it's been too long. I know you're going to be full of questions, being the social little butterfly you are, but at least allow me to introduce the parties here first."
"Kyne, this is Maevia. The talented and lovely young lady that I mentioned in brief earlier. Mae, dear, this is Kyne. An individual you're going to get to know much better over the next few months of your life."
-- "Can I, uh, get you something?"
The God turned to the waitress who blinked at him in slight confusion. I mean, yeah, the place wasn't a ghost town but she hadn't heard the door ring when these two had entered the building. "For me? No. For my guest, yes actually. Could we have a moment with a menu? Ah! And there it is. Aren't you a well prepared little thing." Kupi would praise as he took the offered menu and laid it in front of Kyne wither she wanted it or not. "I'll wave you back over when she's chosen. Thank you, dear." The God concluded with a kind smile that could melt an ice sculpture. Of the which would melt away any concerns she had had previously, only to be replaced with a blush and nervous giggle as she walked away. Looking forward to being waved back over.

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] A REPRIEVE, INTERRUPTED Maevia had shifted her focus back to the puzzle in her hands. She deftly moved the sides in accordance with the pattern she had figured out long ago. She’d have to attempt a more difficult one in the future. Then her whole body paused as she felt a brief, familiar chill. [break][break] “Maevia!”The woman shot up rigid, quick enough to lift her from her seat with a small jump, and she bounced slightly as she landed back in the booth. With open eyes she simply stared ahead at the figures in front of her. Kupiec, and… a stranger? Her eyes went back and forth silently as Kupiec went on. She heard, but her brain was in alert mode, her thoughts darting around. Surprises were bad enough, but being thrust suddenly into a situation with a stranger and a troublemaker with no prior warning was enough to give her palpitations. She sized up the woman beside him. [break][break] Magi, obvious. Seems plain, but involved with Kupiec. Familiar, even. Needs something. Desperate, likely. Useful? Check for records on her after this. [break][break] Her eyes followed the waitress as she walked away, and then drifted back to the god. She took a deep breath, and her eyes returned to their normal half-open state. She cleared her throat, and tried to get her panic under control. He’d sense it, but she’d be damned if he was the only one firing shots. Her sour glare shifted into a professional smile. It was time to regain footing. She gently set the puzzle down with a muffled thud. [break][break] “Kupiec,” she stated. She deliberately lifted the sweet-smelling cigarette from the ashtray. She waved it gently with her gestures as she spoke, making wispy trails of light smoke. “A pleasure, as always. How… typical of you to show up during some rare personal time. The first I’ve taken in about a week, I believe.” [break][break] She took a long, pointed drag of the cigarette, and exhaled with a satisfied sigh; off to the side, of course. She wasn’t so rude - or bold - as to blow it in his face. The influx of smoke in her lungs helped settle her down. She gently set it back in the ashtray, and lifted her puzzle up once more, working it as she maintained eye contact with the god. [break][break] “But I suppose you can’t choose when opportunity strikes,” she said. “I know you’re a chatty fellow, but if we could get down to it, I’d appreciate it.” She already knew that would never happen, but he might like the opportunity to feel like he’s bothering her. [break][break] She had not yet directly addressed or looked at the Magi beside him. The back of her head was trying to get a feel for how she carried herself. Maevia relaxed her posture. Kupiec may be able to detect her initial panic, but this stranger likely could not. She needed to establish herself. [break][break] “So then tell me,” she said. She maintained that fake, professional smile. “Why should I care about this individual enough to give them the time of day, let alone spend months with them? What makes them worth my time and resources?” [break][break] She looked at them both. Either one could answer at this point, which would tell her more about each of them. She was curious, but the chill down her spine crept throughout the rest of her. She already didn’t like where this was going. » It had been a week since the deal that took place, and ever since then life had been a bit brighter. Much like a Lepidoptera, her metamorphosis was just about to begin. Before that fateful night she was a caterpillar trying to crawl her way through the dregs of society. Life wasn’t enjoyable, and she was so small compared to the rest of the world. Now, she was beginning to design her cocoon so that one day she would emerge a daunting moth maneuvering its way through the darkest parts of the city. Camouflage would keep her safely hidden as she slowly developed into the infamous Mothra, strong, intelligent, and a sidekick to Godzilla.
It was half past seven when Kupiec arrived with his usual debonair expressions. Part of her didn’t fully trust his intentions in all of this-waiting for some loophole that would eventually become her noose. “Thank you.” Kyne replied, leaving the comfort of her couch to grasp the deity’s hand with a slight feeling of uncertainty. This apprehensive emotion increased as he tugged her closer so that one arm awkwardly circled around his back. “Y-Yeah.” A nod followed her stutter, and she did everything that was asked of her. Closing her eyes, the magi gripped the dark suit before a whirling sensation was felt for a brief moment.
After a few moments the unusual sounds of clinking class and low murmuring filled her ears. It probably would have been safe for her to open her eyes then. However, with her being such an obedient follower that didn’t want to die in some horribly magical transportation accident, she refused to open her eyes until Kupiec gave her the o.k. Kyns sighed in relief, letting her lavender gaze roam around the new scenery; eventually wandering to another woman sitting across from them. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” Her tone held a clear note as she took a minute to inspect their new companion. For some reason she had pictured her to look a bit…different?
The majority of her attention was fixed upon Mae, trying to figure out the essential race and age information, so much that she only managed to catch the last bit of the waitresses giggling conversation with Kupiec. “I can’t take you anywhere, can I?” With a sideways glance, she gave the god an amused grin. A cascade of blond hair tumbled over her shoulder as she shook her head. Then, while the other two got acquainted, a lily hand reached for a napkin across the table. Grabbing a pen hanging from the breast of her button down shirt, Kyne clicked the tip before scribbling the word ‘coffee.’
“Because the three of us are all the same.” A calm tone laced every word as she responded to the latest question. “You will work with whatever benefits you in the long run. Kupiec here,” Sweeps her arm gracefully over to the god. “Is helping me make my debut as an underground Doctor for the black market. The deal we have will benefit him greatly. However, I know nothing about the market itself or how the game is played, but,” Her arm retracted so she could point a finger at Mae with a lopsided grin. “You do.”
Leaning forward just a tad, the antlered woman held her napkin up for the flighty little waitress to see the order written on it. “So, how can I benefit you? When I’m established I can offer a multitude of things—free drugs, personal health care at any time, any information I get from my clients on heavy hypnotics? They sing like canaries.” She chuckled, lowering the napkin once the waitress gave her a confirming nod. “Also, please forgive me for being blunt but…” Her thin frame settled against the cushioned booth as her gaze flicked between the other two. “You are fairly attractive for someone associated with the underground. What do you do?” Blinks, tilting her head all nonchalantly.

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] INVESTMENTS Maevia recoiled at the compliment and furrowed her brow in confusion.[break][break] What? Has she SEEN my eye? No, this is just simple flattery, nothing more. Still...[break][break] She smiled. “No need to flatter me. It’s clear that you really don’t know anything if you think looks have a direct link to profession. As for what I do, you can say that I’m a businesswoman. I make things happen. I give people what they want. Not unlike our friend here,” she said, indicating Kupiec with her puzzle. “Though I’m less inclined to pleasures of the flesh than he, and I do mean that in both ways.”[break][break] “I’m sure he’s told you more about me than I’d like and less than you’d like. Clearly you know enough to make assumptions about my personality.” She was curious to know exactly what he has told her. He probably enjoyed toying with her as much as anyone else, though these two seemed particularly buddy-buddy. Interesting. “However, he has told me nothing about you. And it’s my job to know things.”[break][break] She paused her puzzle to pick up her cigarette once more. “Illegal clinics aren’t too uncommon in the market. Most just peddle meds. Problem is, they don’t tend to last very long. There still is some semblance of a police force in Dagos, and they do investigate. Besides that, there’s always the more cutthroat competition. And let’s not forget that your clientele isn’t the most stable; you’ll need to be careful for those who want to make sure you never tell anyone about their visit, if you understand.” She took a long drag of her cigarette and exhaled the sweet smoke from her nose. “Ah, Doctor Hart. Poor gal.”[break][break] Her hands busied themselves with the puzzle once more. She locked eyes with the Magi the entire time she spoke. “That said, you won’t hurt for business. Now, about my role in all of this: What you’re asking is in my power. I can even set you up in a location, and call in a favor for equipment, should you need any. Usually, I’d make that deal and leave you to your own devices; nobody asks me to hold their hand. Then again, nobody usually appears out of thin air in the company of a god.”[break][break] Click. THUD![break][break] Maevia slammed the completed 12-sided Rubik’s puzzle on the table, interrupting the light, friendly air that followed her attempt at a joke. The diner silenced for a moment as people looked around for the noise’s source. The air filled with chatter once more. She folded her hands neatly on the table. She cherry-picked each word, careful not to dwell on them for too long in her mind. She knew the god had a way of reading people. [break][break] “What I need to know is how you’d like this exchange to happen. Would you prefer to consider it a debt and then go our separate ways once you’ve repaid? Or perhaps you’d like an ongoing partnership? It’s up to you, really. You seem to have one powerful friend,” she said. She flashed Kupiec a smile and picked up her cigarette. “You may want another. Be careful about dealing with him too much; you have a pretty face, and I’d hate to see it start looking like mine.” She indicated her cybernetic eye with her cigarette and laughed. [break][break] “In any case, make sure you want to get into this. I’m not making any guarantees about your safety or success, and my time doesn’t come cheap.”[break][break] Tags: kyne , Kupiec [break][break] [attr="class","iconie"] [newclass=.biggie]-webkit-transitionduration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover]margin-left:-300px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie]opacity:0;margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:285px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#000000;border:solid 1px #000000;color:#e4e0e0;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:10px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .textie]opacity:1;margin-left:610px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#000000;[/newclass] [newclass=.textie::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#9589a0;border:2px solid #e4e0e0;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconie]opacity:0;margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .iconie]opacity:1;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsie]opacity:0;font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass] [newclass=.biggie:hover .tagsie]opacity:1;-webkit-transition-duration:.5s;-moz-transition-duration:.5s;transition-duration:.5s;[/newclass]

هل يهمك لعقد صفقة؟
Awww,
Kupiec sat back and enjoyed watching two of his more favored gems converse back and forth. It was darling, really. It was very similar to a father watching his two daughters sprint up and down the soccer field at their first game. Kyne hadn't waited a moment before jumping in to defend her own positioning in the discussion. Meanwhile there was Maevia, playing with some child's cube while conversing with a God and mortal He had seemed worthy. Cheeky, the both of them. And He honestly wouldn't have it any other way.
The deity grinned slyly at Maevia's distinguishing between the two of them. Pleasures of the flesh indeed. Silly green haired mortal rarely conversed at all much less had partaken in certain enjoyable physical activities. Gods, he enjoyed picking on her. It was a guilty pleasure making the female grind her teeth. But that was beside the point. Look at his two little girls go. D'aww~
The gentleman crossed his legs underneath the table properly, making sure the expensive suit wouldn't wrinkle in any manner from the position. Though there would be one detail that would cause a wrinkling of His nose. Always with the cigarettes. Foul little devices that assisted mortals in living shorter lives and creating a less than desired scent. For the God's sensitive nose, it was enough to cause a small frown but He would refrain from interrupting the cute little back and forth his followers were partaking in. At least for now.
THUD.
Without so much as a blink from the sudden action Kupiec would watch on in a quiet amusement. Seemed little Mae was done with her toy and would soon finish her current inquiries. "Actually," The God would state clearly, interrupting anything Kyne may have wished to respond herself. "She wouldn't be the one indebted to you." Kupiec made stern eye contact with the cyborg across the table. Perhaps a level of seriousness she had not witnessed of Him since the day Ku had feasted on her eye and limb in payment. "I would owe you."
-- "One coffee~"
Just as if flipping a switch, Kupiec turned to smile up to the waitress that had made her way back over. Nothing but kindness dripping from His honeyed tongue. "Thank you, dear. I'm sure we'll "wave you back over" if we need anything else." The teenager would respond in one last smile before returning back to the kitchen, perhaps with more of a certain bounce in her step. Sliding the hot beverage over to the Magi beside Him, Kupiec would continue. The switch being flicked the other way again. "I like setting my pieces in a very specific manner and this is where I want her." The tone and facial features expressing severe sternness. "It's best for her, it's best for Me, and it's best for you in the long run. At this time alone Ms Quinn being with you will assist me in accrediting and completing fifty-seven current dealings along with what I'm sure is to be multiple future ones."
"The deal is not a week long educational retreat. Obviously she's fresh and new to the Market's environment. It would be you assisting a doctor in setting up her business and making yourself available for any questions or concerns she may have along the way more or less indefinitely. Which I'm not foreseeing to be that much of a bother to you after a while, she's a rather bright little thing. I have no doubt she'll catch on."
"Plus," And with that Kupiec's professional smile would grace His features, "a God will owe you a favor."

» “I never said looks have a direct link to profession.” Kyne replied calmly, while watching the woman intently. Every move, every gesture seemed….natural. From the way she furrowed her brows to the off the cuff way she spoke, Kyne had so far assumed she was being honest in her actions. This Maevia wasn’t like Kupiec. The god was sly about the way he handled conversations in a way that made her picture him wearing a permanent, smiling mask. This cyborg was more on the blunt end and refreshingly calloused, something that made her feel more at ease. Still, there was a still a level of dexterity that the magi needed to arrange her words. She was well aware Mae took her as an incapable despite Kyne generally liking the stranger so far.
“I simply made an observation that you were attractive and attempted to make it into a compliment. Obviously, I failed.” A small chuckle left her lips as the woman gave a shrug. “I tried. However, trust me when I say I don’t use flattery. If I’m going to say something nice I’m going to be honest about it, or save my breath if not. But, I’m getting off topic.” She waved her hand to dismiss her thoughts. “I figured you were a businesswoman if you knew Kupiec. I was just curious to see what kind of business you dealt with? I see now that it's on a need-to-know basis….” Her words began to trail off as the last part of Mae’s sentence echoed in her ears. ‘Wait, wait, wait!’ Lavender colored eyes flicked between the two, taking special notice of the god’s sly grin. Breaking her professional air, Kyne leaned closer to Kupiec as she cupped her hand to the side of her mouth in an attempt to dampen her whisper. “You can fuck mortals!?”
There was a shocked expression slapped on her face when the question rolled off her tongue, but it did not last long. The magi then cleared her throat before straightening right back against her seat. “Ah, actually, he has told me nothing about you other than you would be the best person to see.” She continued on with the conversation, trying her best to fight the embarrassing blush that tinged her cheeks. “As for me, I am more than happy to answer any questions you have. If it’s your job to know, then I will tell you what I can.” A pause would be taken to fan away a rolling plume of smoke. “As for the warning, thank you. I will keep all of that in mind. Although, between you and me, the Dagos police don’t know I exist. I’ve never existed.” It wasn’t her nature to be stern, yet there were certain topics she did not take lightly.
As Kyne rolled up the sleeve to her charcoal gray sweater, her eyes held Mae’s gaze with a solemn expression. On her arm she flashed a carved serial number that followed the official University property’s branding. “and the black market is minor compared to ‘them’. If they find me I’d be praying for whatever death Dr. Hart had.” The magi rolled down her sweater again with a sigh. “I don’t need someone to hold my hand. I need a mentor—someone to show me the ropes so I can thrive until perhaps a partnership is formed? A powerful friend is always welcomed.” She smiled only for it to soon fade. Kupiec had been a reliable figure in her life from the moment she escaped the labs. It was hard for her to imagine him as anything other than the generous god that he was. Still, when she looked at Mae’s eye, there was no doubt that he was probably the culprit. As sweet as he was, Kyne knew how his deals worked.
“I’m not sure what you mean? I find your face very enjoyable to look at, especially your eye. I’d even dare to say it’s exotic.” A grin slipped across her lips with an innocent tilt of the head. “Just being honest. Are you sing---” Her words halted the moment Kupiec began, knowing that his words would mean a great deal more than hers. From there all she did was simply listen and watch between the two.
“Thank you.” She nodded her antlered head to the girl when the coffee was passed to her. Afterwards, she continued to remain silent. ‘Fifty seven dealings!? What kind of deals are you setting up?’ She thought, casting a curious glance over to Kupiec. She appreciated his faith in her ability, honestly, no one ever had. But still, there was so much he wasn’t telling her that she wished he did.

[attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"] DOCTORS AND DEALINGS She gave the two across the table her undivided attention as they spoke. She let them finish their pieces, considering each point carefully before weaving her reply. She attempted a face of neutrality, but couldn't hide her frown at the word “indefinitely,” nor her smirk at Kupiec being indebted to her. The god was unusually serious. Almost... like a protective parent. She raised her eyebrow at Kyne's comment about him fucking mortals. Maevia had just assumed that was the case with gods; they could sit in front of them, eat, talk... why not fuck? What truly interested her was the brand Kyne displayed. She took note of that. The girl had some connection with the university. If Maevia was on the fence before, this sealed the deal. She flashed a quick smile at Kyne's further flattery. “So that's how it will be,” Maevia said, nodding. “You are taking on her debt for my time and expertise. Well, now that is interesting!” She relaxed back into her seat and idly sucked her cigarette. She looked out the window, watching the hurried pace of criminals and potential victims as they went about their business on the street. Her fingers idly tapped on the table. “Miss Kyne, I can see two things about you right away: you're quite brilliant, but also have trouble seeing the bigger picture here in Dagos. It's handy that you have no record, though I won't inquire as to why,” she said. Either Kupiec helped her, or her records were lost during the genocides. Either way, it was helpful. She watched a subtle drug exchange take place in front of the convenience store down the road. The raids, however, are not done against any particular person, record or not. Sometimes they're done so they can showcase their competence to the public. Sometimes you accidentally piss off the wrong person, and he has connections.” “As for being compared to 'them,'” she said, turned her gaze back to Kyne and her brand. “All I can tell you is that the black market is more vicious than it sounds. It took me many years to navigate it successfully and I built myself upon the backs of those who couldn't. There aren't prisoners here, there isn't torture; it's all business, and I gather that our mutual friend here would much prefer you alive.” She ground her cigarette into the ashtray. “So, then, here's how this will work. I do not like the 'indefinite' clause you presented me,” she said, looking up into Kupiec's eyes. “Especially not for a one-time favor. But this is … is a special case. For my compensation I want not only a favor from you, but as long as 'indefinite' may be in this case, I expect you,” she moved her gaze to Kyne. “To do what you had promised earlier; a partnership. Pass me along information from clients, and should I need to send someone to you for medical care or drugs, I expect you to handle it without questions. I will not ask anything of you beyond that.” She held up her hand to stop them if they replied to that. “I would not expect you to accept, Kyne, without knowing exactly what I can do for you. To start, as I mentioned, I have an excellent location for your clinic, I can call in favors to get you supplied initially, and, most importantly, I can get your name out so you can have a clientele; it's difficult and dangerous to advertise without knowing who's who.” She pulled the pack of cigarettes from her pocket, considered lighting another one, then returned it. She sighed. Her time off was long gone right now; she'd be busy immediately after the deal was finalized. “Once you're established, I will keep the police and potential usurpers at bay. You will be the first doctor I recommend, which should keep your business as steady as you like. And all the while, I can give you a guiding hand about how the market works, as I'm sure you'd prefer that than having me be your guardian.” She pocketed her puzzle and picked up her fork. She delicately stabbed it through the cold pancakes in front of her, and lifted it to her mouth. Before taking her bite, she smiled and looked between the two. “So? How do you find these terms?” Tags: kyne , Kupiec [break][break] Notes: Let's play Deal or No Deal! What's behind door #3? هل يهمك لعقد صفقة؟
Kupiec noticed the mortal beside Him lean over. Being the posh ass gentleman that He held Himself up to be the God met the human half way. Tilting His Kupi awaited the cupped whisper to relay whatever his loyal follower wished to say.
"You can fuck mortals!?"
.... Those strangely colored eyes blinked a moment before Kupiec found His amusement contort a smile. The deity was rather sure Maevia had heard but didn't wish to be rude. Him rude? Surely never. Turning His gaze Kupiec whispered back into the girl's ear. "A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell." He spoke lightly attempting to hold back a laugh. Upon finishing His thought Ku would straighten that correct posture.
From there the deity would listen. Listen patiently. Micromanaging wasn't wise with deals like these. If these two mortals were capable of working together they would showcase it. So when Kupiec heard that His part of the deal was to be accepted and cemented He sat back slightly. As far as He was concerned it was acceptable. Any objections would come from Kyne to his left.
If affirmation were to be verbalized Kupiec would offer the two a small pleased smile. "You know the drill then, dear." Ku would state as a rolled up parchment appeared in His hand after a lazy twirl of the fingers. The paper unrolled itself onto the table as the Deity then pulled an expensive looking pen from his suit jacket's inner pocket. "Sign on the dotted line. Of course, after you finish reading everything to double check it."

»The magi sat back in her seat and listened intently to everything the cyborg said. There was a large amount of information and points that Maevia left her to ponder over. She was correct, Kyne didn’t know very much about the black market. She only knew that it could be used as a tool to gain power, and if balanced right, it could also give her protection. That was what she truly desired. To have her dream career and to be safe within the darker side of the city, and she knew Kupiec could only do so much…although she was slowly learning he behaved a lot more mortal than he appeared.
Trust wasn’t the word she felt for Mae. To be honest, there was no one she truly trusted other than Sterling—Kupiec’s was only partial. However, she did believe that the black market informant did possess the intelligence and expertise to lead her on the correct path. Kyne’s own intelligence was merely a fraction of what Mae’s was, and in a way it caused a spark of admiration. This meeting and possible partnership would definitely be nothing but beneficial. The closer she got to Mae, the more knowledge she’d gain. Plus, the magi really did enjoy her company. Birds of a feather have a tendency to flock together, after all.
“You have certainly given me a lot to reply to… I’ll make it short and sweet. I accept all of your terms for a partnership and believe you to be correct in every way. I’m entering into this world blind, I’m not too proud to admit my ignorance on this subject. I would be eternally grateful if you helped me, and have no problems breaking my doctor-patient confidentiality from time to time for you.” Following her sentence, Kyne stopped to finish the last of her coffee before pushing the mug between the other two. “My cup is empty for you two to fill with the knowledge you know, and if there is anything I can do in return don’t hesitate to ask. ” Then, with a small grin her attention flicked back to the cyborg once more. "I look forward to working with you."
