Personality overall
To really have a feel for Elijah you first need to know that there are two distinct sides to him. Nothing as extreme as two separate "personalities" such as D.I.D. but when he's at work he has his metaphoric work hat on and when he's partaking in his personal life that hat is placed to the side. When working he's strict, stoic. Some could say he barely emotes at all. Elijah is the epitome of seriousness, cracking a grin or small smile on occasion. He realizes what is asked of him and what is on his shoulders with his being one of the leaders of the Magi Equalist Movement. In all honesty it's easy to call Elijah a workaholic, dedicating most of his time in the organization. With his original reasoning for joining at all being to find his lost daughter and with countless of other tales of social injustice Elijah very clearly understands the severity of the circumstances.
However, if you can wrestle Elijah away from his work the man's metaphoric hat falls to the side heavily. He's quieter. I'd dare say shier. The earth magi is more ashamed in this personal lighting for needing help with matters that one who wasn't blind wouldn't need assistance with. The man is honestly still mourning the loss of his wife and daughter in his life. There's alot of guilt and self-punishing that has led to depression. Any romantic interest would have to patiently help Elijah work through these distorted emotions before he'd allow himself to accept a new love. Deep down he doesn't believe himself worthy of happiness until he not only finds his daughter but brings about social change for his fellow Magi.
If you can get him there though, you'll find a soft hearted gentleman much as he was in his youth. The only other major personality detail worth mentioning is his atheism. Elijah is an atheist Earth Magi. He does not believe in any of the pantheon and above all does not believe in the Goddess of Magic, Arithelia. This isn't due to bitterness over his life's hardships, this is simply how he's always viewed religion. If you attempt to convert him he will most likely politely decline or poke holes into your experiences. It's nothing personal.

[PTab=APPEARANCE]
locked away in permanent slumber
appearance
Elijah is not the tallest man within the Equalist Movement. Any intimidation created does not originate with a towering figure. At a height of 5' 10" the magi carries an air of being able to handle his own. The gentleman works through his anxiety by exercising so he has a bit of an impressive build; Well toned, muscular, etc. His skin unfortunately is not left flawless. Scars from bullets, arrows, one knife that had been thrown at him without his being aware. Each one has a story I'm sure.
However the worst scar is upon his face. Through circumstances explained in the biography section Elijah was forcefully blinded in his adult years. The chemicals used that day have left severe scarring around the eyes, enough to make someone flinch just by gazing. For the sake of others the Magi tends to wear sunglasses, usually of a zylonite sports design. The man doesn't like being pitied so this tends to keep the awkwardness levels on the lower side of the scale.
To simplify his life further Elijah tends to keep his hair in either braids or dreadlocks. He's questioned whether to shave his head all together but some of the more feminine voices in the Movement have persuaded him not to. Something about being fans of the grey hairs starting to come in. What can I say? He's a sucker for a woman's whim.
As for Magi traits it's easy to see the man is an Earth Magi. Where some would grow facial hair Elijah finds himself shaving moss from his jawline. Coiled within each dread are vines that grow just as naturally as his hair. These vines have been known to flower with something akin to wisteria. When he was a child he feared it wasn't cool and did everything he could to hide them however with age he doesn't mind anymore. If anything it means he doesn't have to spend money on cologne. His saliva as well has taken a sweeter turn as being similar to maple syrup, a trait his deceased wife used to admire openly. And upon his back are what can be best described as combined similar traits of the armadillo and pangolin. Elijah's back has an armour plating of dermal bone with overlapping epidermal scales that act fairly well for defensive purposes.
Fashion
As already stated Elijah is blind so fashion isn't exactly something he's all too worried about. It's not uncommon for him to arrive at his job in something that clashes or looks absurd. For this reason Elijah tries to stick with jeans. That way any shirt or shoes he wears shouldn't be chuckled at through out the day. If someone more fashion savvy were to offer their services he wouldn't say no. Shrug.

biography
Elijah's early life wasn't devoid of racism or hard times but it wasn't difficult to claim he had a positive childhood. His parents were hard working and strove to give their children a better life than theirs. A noble goal for any parent. It's easily accepted that Mr and Mrs Kingsley succeeded in that venture. The family of four grew up in a small town in the country populated mostly with fellow Magi. Their house was considered one of the largest and with the family's trade being the creating of precious stones and jewelry design for export it wasn't difficult to understand why. Elijah found himself interested in the art from an early age and would be taught the trade as he grew up. Eventually Elijah would find himself able to utilize the Earth Magi abilities nearly as well as his father, though never quite as good he'd admit.
The parents saw it their duty both as magi and as religious followers of Arithelia, with themselves doing so well financially, to foster magi children. Through out Elijah's childhood he met and befriended many other magi his age, younger and older. This assisted in raising a responsible young man who treasured the same values; assisting the less fortunate, giving love where there is none. The only belief that Elijah chose not to share was the belief in Gods, including his parents' Arithelia. It wasn't anything personal, he just found the idea of Gods to be silly. Surely science would some day explain through evolution his race's existence.
So armed with these beliefs an adult Elijah moved to Felici to spend a good twelve years living his own life. After attempting multiple universities and being rejected for racial reasons from each one he finally found a lower classed college in Dagos that would accept him as a student. Though he was refused many classes and degrees, again, for racial reasons, the college allowed him to walk away with a Degree in Architecture. It would be during his classes that he would meet Serena.
He was quickly smitten by her empowered personality and dry humor. Months after meeting the Zero Magi would agree to date him. Over time they both grew quite fond of each other. Fondness would grow into romantic interest until the day Elijah would display a collection of twenty-three rings. "I know you're particular," The man would say as he'd smile a touch shyly as his love would stare at the lot. "So I decided to design different rings for you to choose from. Umm, so if you say yes to my, uh, question you can tell me if you like one or all or five or if you want to combine different details -- aesthetics into one ring ... I can make that happen. So, yeah." Elijah would chuckle nervously, "Just tell me what you like and I'll make it for you .... you know. If the answer is y--" Elijah wouldn't be allowed to complete his sentence as he quickly found himself lip locked.
Fast forward, the two would eventually marry each other; Elijah agreeing with a sigh for the sake of his fiance and parents to allow it to be a religious ceremony. Over the years the married couple would enjoy a honeymoon turned to years of traveling around the world to countries that would accept magi foreigners. The majority of the world's most impressive architecture would be witnessed by them, much to Elijah's delight. Museums, foods, the arts, natural wonders. Those were the happiest years of their lives. Selling Elijah's self crafted jewelry to fund their adventures as they went. Eventually the two would return to Ethea to move into the Kingsley family home as his parents grew older and weaker. Elijah's father would pass away first, soon followed by his mother just a mere month later.
It would be a few short weeks after burying his father, Mrs Areej Kingsley, that the Relocation Camps were enacted. Not at all happy about having to leave his family's property behind Elijah would choose to go along with the legal act. The camp they were assigned to was not as outwardly atrocious compared to others at the time. During the forty years Elijah and his wife shared a smaller home with two other families. Of the which erupted in joy when Serena discovered she was pregnant. A Magi pregnancy being more rare and difficult to obtain it seemed the entire camp celebrated with them in the beautiful news.
Serena birthed a beautiful little girl Magi who she named Stella with tears in her eyes, claiming that the little girl was to be her brightest star. Despite the Relocation Camp's living conditions the two were happy, genuinely. It wouldn't be until Stella was four years old that matters would take a dark turn. Elijah was returning back to their small home, walking through the front door when any sense of smiling dropped as hard as the bag of groceries he had been carrying. A guard had apparently found it apart of his duty to ... thoroughly search his wife in a manner that wasn't professional in the slightest. Serena's glazed eyes from the downer she had been injected with was enough for Elijah to get a very quick understanding of the situation.
Crossing the room in record timing the first punch would send the guard careening into the refrigerator. And then came the next. And the next. And the next. And the next. And the next. It wasn't until blood was thoroughly splattered up his arm and across the kitchen tiles that he snapped out of the dark state his mind had ejected his psyche to. The weakened call of his name by his drugged wife caused him to slowly turn away from the bloody mess his hands had created. This was bad ... Rising from his kneeling position he moved to his wife, gently collecting her from the tabletop and pulling her clothing back on. Kissing Serena's forehead he whispered reassurances to the beautiful love of his life before carrying her to their bed where he rest her down so that she would be safe until the drugs affects had faded. There as well he would carry his daughter to rest from her makeshift place on the couch, somehow left asleep through the ordeal. The bastard must have drugged his daughter too. It seemed like the situation but no further harm had befallen her other than a lengthy nap. Perhaps it was for the best ....
What would come to pass would be a dread filled Elijah would choose to turn himself in for the damage the guard had taken, hoping that the action would alleviate the blame from the rest of his family and the magi community. Though obviously there was a physical beating apart of the repercussions of carrying an unconscious guard to the watch tower further punishment would come the next day. Finding the magi an obvious threat to the camp's safety and an unhealthy role model guards would come to remove Stella from the household and relocate her. Obviously this did not sit well with the parents. Though he was still injured from the night before, as well as his wife still struggling through downer side effects from the massive amount that she had been injected with, they fought against the guards that dared to try to take away their little girl.
Of course this didn't end prettily either. Serena was brought in for a basic physical beating for resisting the guards. Elijah however was brought in for a more thorough experience since they translated this as his second offense. For the sake of the reader I will not go into too terrible detail as for the acid blinding that Elijah underwent. It was unpleasant, it was gory and it was something that would leave Elijah crippled in a gasping overwhelming pain in his now permanently blackened world.
He would spend the next four days in a cold cell until he felt the earth quake underneath the palms of his hands. What the hell was going on outside? Violence. That was for sure. Still under the effects of downers Elijah would do his best to follow the events the earth's vibrations informed him of but there was just so much. It wouldn't be until clear and vivid sounds could be heard within the cell's hallway, a horrified gasp sounding outside his cell.
"E-- Elijah?"
Turning his head the man found his breath catch. "Serena?" His wife fumbled shakily with the keys in her hands until she was able to enter her husband's cell and embrace him. Fevered kisses would follow along with a steadying to help the drugged man onto his feet. Mass break outs. Mass killings. "We need to find Stella." Would be his response to his wife's informing. The two would struggle out of the previous guard station and Elijah could only do his best to keep his bearings with the chaos erupting around him. Unfortunately the couple's journey would halt abruptly when a Hunter's bullet plummeted Elijah's world into a shade of darkness he didn't think possible.
"S--? Serena??" The hand that held his own fell limp. Scrambling in his blind and drugged manner he'd attempt to keep the woman standing but little by little in his seemingly eternal struggle Elijah felt himself fall to his knees as her form refused to activate any muscles. "Serena?" What had happened? His trembling embrace released to allow the female form fall sickly to the never ceasing trembling earth ground. "Serena?" He continued to ask, to plead, to beg as his hands searched. What was the cause of this? Please be a dart, please gods let it be a downer dart. Her limbs, her chest, her abdomen. It wasn't until convulsing hands desperately traced his love's face that he felt it. The liquid, the hole. A whole new realm of darkness plummeted upon Elijah's shoulders as breath refused to exhale. Words wouldn't form. Vomit couldn't even rise within the windpipes that constricted so heavily.
Honestly, after that his memory goes blank. The next thing Elijah remembers is waking up with bandages and a new source of pain in his left arm. Bullet wound apparently as a female voice would inform him. Not finding the new wound to be as painful as the wounds in his mind Elijah walked staggeringly into the room that seemed to be omitting the most voices. Magi with similar stories of wrongdoing. How there were still camps open doing similar wrong doings. Talk of how their government had wronged their people. How something needed to happen.
Brows furrowing Elijah joined in, quickly being offered a chair for the still healing man from his acid burns that caused the room to fall silent. He needed to find his little girl, in the very least her remains so they could be buried with a sense of dignity. His life had a new purpose. With those joined in the small room they discussed and planned. Here the Magi Equalist Movement was birthed and swiftly moved out to free their people from their encamped prisons. Haven deemed the most protected location from humanity's cruelty and from there, as the years continued and plans were formed, Elijah would continue to be both a leader verbally and action once he healed. Like hell if blindness was going to keep him from finding his little girl.

[PTab=SKILLS]
THEIR GNASHING TEETH AND CRIMINAL TONGUES CONSPIRE AGAINST THE ODDS
Default Skills
Earth I: You are able to geokinetically animate 500 lbs (reference) of earth one time. And when I say earth, I mean anything the earth has birthed naturally. Rocks, sand, dirt, etc. The material must be of 100% natural to be animated. For instance, metals cannot be at this stage.
Green Thumb I: At this stage you're more of a plant whisperer than anything else. You can inquire of plants to grow at double the rate, wish them to birth more fruit, ask them to lift a root up to trip a chasing hunter. But that is the extent at this level. You're asking a living thing for assistance, of the which they can refuse. Might I suggest politeness?
Photosynthesis: By allowing the sun's rays to dance upon your skin, or a UV light of some kind, physical food is optional. Your body will produce its own sustenance through photosynthesis.
Purchased abilities
Earth II: You are able to manipulate 6,000 lbs of earth at one time (reference). You are now able to compress the earth you manipulate into a sturdier form, making it much more solid and harder, like a naturally formed chunk of stone.
Earth III: You are able to manipulate 20,000 lbs of earth at one time (reference). Metal can be weakly manipulated, perhaps to slow an oncoming cyborg.
Radar I: You are so intune with the earth that in stillness you can accomplish feeling sonic waves through the ground up to 50 feet in perimeter of you.
Radar II: You can now sense sonic waves caused by movement up to one mile in perimeter of you. It is very easily possible to become nauseated or gain a migraine by doing this for too long.
Transmute: Through focus you can convert one type of ore into another. Rocks can shift into precious stones or even lesser metals to better protect someone for instance.
Quicksand I: As the name insinuates you can now shift any natural flooring into a dangerous area of quicksand. Six feet width in diameter is allowed.
Quicksand II: You now have complete control of this ability. If a victim gets stuck in this trap you are able to sink them down at a horrifying speed and solidify the ground again, in a matter of seconds. Twenty feet diameter at most.
Bound: The ability to make the ground beneath you act as a springboard thus allowing you a boost to jump further distances. Or even simply use multiple smaller ones repeatedly to give you a boost of speed.
Earthquake I: You are capable of creating up to a level 5 earthquake on the Ricther scale. They can last for a short time (less than one minute) and are strong enough to cause someone to be uneasy on their feet.
Earthquake II: You are capable of creating up to a level 6.5 earthquake on the Ricther scale. They can now last up to ten minutes. Obviously this is energy draining.
Earthquake III: You are capable of creating up to a level 8 earthquake on the Richter scale. They can last up to thirty minutes. Obviously this is extremely draining.
Seedlings: A common practice for those that practice fighting styles, a person will commonly carry around seeds with them of whatever plant they prefer. Within seconds seeds can burst forth in the magi's hand. A vine could be twenty feet in a matter of seconds for instance. This is Green Magic at its most impressive.
Venomous Seedlings: (Upgrade of Seedlings, “Immune” required) The seedlings you carry around can now grow into weapons that are laced with non-fatal toxins. Skin contact causes rashes and blisters. Wounds now feel much more painful (a cut feels like a gunshot) and are harder to heal. Other side-effects of being wounded with these weapons include sweating, fever, nausea, and other various ill effect, that can persist anywhere from a day to several, depending on how much was applied and how well the person takes care of themselves.
Magnetism: Ability to make your limbs magnetized so that you might be able to, say, wall climb.
Green Thumb II: Now able to synchronize yourself with plants instantly by touch you are not needing to ask verbal permission anymore. Your wished for actions are theirs now willingly. Actions performed by these trees (etc)can be more elaborate and powerful. They can even grow further through out the duration of the synchronization.
Green Thumb III: Constant touch is no longer required. Merely through a telekinetic connection an Earth Magi can control multiple plants at once.
Armor: Depending on what level of Earth you are, you can weave together an armor from whatever materials are at your disposal.
Rejuvenation: (Requires Photosynthesis) You absorb sunlight more efficiently, which gives you a small amount of extra energy; you have better stamina in the sunlight, and recover faster when resting in it. This means you can hold an earthquake for a critical few seconds longer, run that extra hundred yards, or make one last Bound before you’re exhausted- it does NOT allow you to maintain energy endlessly in the sun.
Rejuvenation II: Wounds begin to heal as they remain under the sun. Small cuts heal within an hour, while deeper ones take a couple of hours if you don't bleed out first. At this level, a two-hour nap in the sun gives you as much energy as a full night of sleep.
Ability Mastery: This special ability is only once per character. It also requires 5 purchased magic upgrades and sufficient in character justification. With time, practice, and natural aptitude, you have reached a step above the normal in a specific area within your magic abilities. This amplifies the power of one ability of your choice. This must be magic (No weaponry or human abilities).
Earth Ability Mastery, Details will be added once conversed with staff
Magi Trait Enhancement: The time spent nurturing the magic inside of you has manifested in a new or stronger animal trait. Trait Enhancement can allow scales to be bullet proof, ability to produce venom, poisonous flowers to be grown, etc. However these traits must be a continuation of the magi theme your character already possesses.
Details: Elijah has a trait similar to the armadillo and pangolin. Elijah's back has an armor plating of dermal bone with overlapping epidermal scales that act fairly well for defensive purposes. Now, his naturally armored back is similar to the strength of modern day's best bullet proof vests on the market. He would be aware of anything of that caliber striking him but it would not cause pain or cause damage.
