Alic Eron

Hi BlackBird! Welcome to the site, and I look forward to RP-ing with you in the future! There are a couple of things that need to be looked at before Alic can be accepted. I did my best to explain them below. Please do not hesitate to PM this account with any questions you may have!

Age:

1. Given Alic’s profession, it takes on the average at least 8 years of college education to become a professor. If he graduated at 18 from high school he would need to be 26 at the minimum. With the face claim, I would more reckon he would be around 28/30 range.

Profession:

1. Please list what Alic teaches as his field of study. Is he an English professor, a magic professor, a math professor? Please clarify!

Negative Traits:

1. Please remove the extra perfectionist trait from this section.

Weaknesses:

1. Tall – Please explain how this is a weakness, does he normally ram his head into doorways tall, or is he always tripping over his long legs/feet, via clumsiness, or maybe he is tall in the personality sense of looking down on every one. Please elaborate on this.

2. Favors left leg – If Alic is agile, he wouldn’t necessarily favor one leg over the other. Maybe he favors a wrist? Or is someone who mentally isn’t great in combat? Please eliminate this weakness and explain.

Personality Overall:

Because he is a professor at the runic university, there are a couple more points that need to be addressed.

1. First is the tattoo, which all professors are given essentially makes him a slave to the headmaster and is a major part of any professor’s personality. I would read up on the tattoo here: Chapter 9: Runic Tattoos, Command Seal and edit accordingly.

2. There are things that would have been done by Alic himself on behalf of the university and headmaster. These things are likely not the best (understatement) and would affect the professor's personality significantly. Please edit to show how these acts would have affected Alic's personality, given the current state of affairs and politics (recent curfew for magi, Ikigai accepting all for new years celebration as a poke to Ethea).

3. View on magi- as a professor and human it is likely that Alic was raised to be quite racist against magi. Because magi are a significant part of the site, I’m asking you to include Alic’s views on them as a race, and as a professor of an institution that has more than likely experimented on them. Please add in a little bit of info on Alic’s view and mindset when it comes to magi.

Bio:

1. Firstly, I was a little confused. Did Alic go to a boarding school when you say he went away? If so that’s fine, just please specify.

2. I will note that in Ethea Alic would not be as heavily persecuted because of his sexuality as he would in the real world. Ethea is more racist towards magi than homophobic.

3. It makes sense that Alic would get into the Runic University with his grades from high school, but I’m not seeing anywhere in the bio where it’s mentioned he went there. Please add a small paragraph to explain his history at the University- what he was like as a student, how he interacted with others, how he made magic for the first time? The four years should be indicated somewhere in his bio.

4. For that, it would take another 4 years of schooling for Alic to earn his teaching credentials- which by the way, can be earned at the Runic University as well, given its prominent status and elite student base as a respected institution of Ethea. These four years need to be documented in Alic’s bio.

5. Once he earns his teaching credentials, Alic needs to have written down in his bio, his experience with the headmaster getting the tattoo, his experience as a professor, and things he had to do to earn that status, as the headmaster's slave. This needs to be fully explained in the history so potential plotters can see what they are getting into and Alic is fully fleshed out as a professor.

6. I touched on this briefly before, but I would suggest moving Alic’s age up and flesh out the bio to include these extra years.

7. I see in family relations that Alic’s parents are dead. I am asking you to include how they died- or how Alic came to know given he has been disowned by the family. I will mention that becoming a professor would give Alic and his parents a sense of legitimacy that they were trying to achieve when they wanted to marry him off.

Skills

1. Here at Inertia, we ask that characters have skills in which they have had experience in. This means that Alic would need to have been trained in Archery or Throwing somewhere in his application. With this being said, as a Runic professor, it is much more likely that he would have had Runic skills than combat skills. In the Human page it is specified that; A Runic Professor starts with Runic Magic Novice, Runic Magic Apprentice, The Last Defense, and one Command Seal that forces your character to obey all orders from the Headmaster (One order is to keep that fact secret). Please update the Skills section to reflect this.
