Personality overall
Though he has mellowed a little since his younger years, in which he got into a wide variety of mischief, Reine is still the embodiment of a charming rogue. Always quick with his service, a compliment to the tastes of men and the beauty of women, he can't help but try to lift people's spirits for the most part. He's a magi who'd prefer to live in the present than face the past.
Inspired by his mother's diplomatic nature, Reine often keeps a level head and a smile. He is proud of his magi nature, albeit never arrogant about it. He is happy to keep on friendly terms with all, magi, humans and even some hunters, and rarely gets offended at insults about his heritage (in fact, he finds a few insults, such as 'the alcoholic vulture', hilarious). It is rare to see Reine particularly angry at anything.
While he has taken quite a lot of his quirks from his mother, Reine can't deny he enjoys a good brawl every so often as opposed to her more staunch pacifism. While he tries to avoid a fight during work hours and remain professional, a part of him secretly hopes for an excuse to leap into the fray. While he does know a variety of dirty tricks, he rarely fights to maim another unless the situation is grave enough to call for it.
Despite his jovial nature, his mother's murder still deeply haunts him. While for the most part he has come to terms with it, the trauma has left him struggling to maintain any real romantic connection with another woman despite his loneliness. The murder also left him with a fear of blood - at first, it was to the point where he couldn't even stand the sight of any blood, though over time and with therapy his haemophobia is less severe. Still, even the sight of a bleeding scratch can leave Reine feeling incredibly uncomfortable, and he will take pains to cover or bandage any cut on his own person as soon as possible, as well as attempting to cover up another's wounds where possible. Major blood spill can make Reine violently ill, even to the point of passing out.

Despite being the youngest of three siblings, Reine has been blessed with height to make up for it, standing at a pleasant 5'8". His physical frame is lean, though more muscular than one would immediately expect.
Most of his body bar his face, hands and feet are covered with black feathers which he can manipulate to a degree. His face has a strange series of black rock-like protrusions across his cheeks. It's also of note that his hand do not have fingernails, but instead his human-looking fingers end in short black talons - however, these talons are regularly filed, so as to prevent any accidental cuts.
While Reine does have large black wings, he has always preferred walking and typically keeps them tucked in close to his back. Thanks to well-tailored suits and strategic lighting, they are less noticeable during work hours (though hardly invisible if one is looking closely enough).
Fashion
While working he typically wears a tuxedo or similar professional black suit, and the feathers on his wrists and ankles can actually be manipulated to make it look almost like they are part of the suit, designed to come out at the edges of the cuffs and collar.
Out of work he typically tends to wear longer coats, along with long sleeved shirts and pants or jeans in order to try and hide some of the more obvious signs of being a magi, despite it being near impossible to hide. He jests it's because he has a fondness for cloaks and capes. These particular clothes however are not designed specifically for him, so can often look slightly over-sized or revealing some of his magi traits.
He wears green raindrop earrings, a gift that was supposed to be for his mother before she passed away. He constantly wears them, only taking them out of his ears when absolutely necessary.

biography
Reine Lassiter was the youngest of three children born to magi Alvina Lassiter and retired hunter Layne Salazar. The earliest parts of his life that he can remember were spent at his parent's bar in Suraja - they are some of Reine's fondest memories. At first unable to stand out from under the shadow of his brother's fiery spirit and his sister's studiousness, it was only a matter of time before he found his own nature.
In his youth, Reine was the rascal of the group, always one to cause mischief. He came into his ability to manipulate wind quickly, and of course he used it for such mischief - flipping up ladies' skirts, knocking people's hats off or even tipping people off their chairs - behaviour that would quickly get him admonished by his mother and typically the belt from his father. But despite the admonishments, his mischievous spirit could not be quelled even as he grew older - there would be plenty of times in his life when one of his elder siblings would have to bail him out of one of his harebrained schemes before it went too far. Most of the regulars took it in good heart though, as his mischief was never particularly malicious.
Despite always feeling under the shadow of his elder siblings, he was never particularly upset about it. His siblings would often take the young Reine under their wing, so to speak - his big brother Julian taught him the basics of how to fight and defend himself, whereas his big sister Fairuz encouraged his creativity - it was her, perhaps, that could best see the spark inside Reine that was slowly being kindled into something brilliant that would come later in his life.
They were good years, the early years. But when he was the tender age of 10, a terrible incident would forever change his life. Spending some time bonding with his father, a group of four approached the two as they stood outside the bar and began causing a scene, threatening both the old man and the 'young chicken' - whether retribution for something one of them did in the past or simply hooligans looking for violence, Reine didn't know. But their violence was terrifying to Reine, who quickly hid behind his father. It wouldn't even have taken seconds for their father to take care of the group, but at the worst possible moment, his mother stepped out to see what the commotion was.
At that moment, all Reine remembered was everything suddenly moved. It was as if the world shifted into a violent blur, and when everything stilled again, suddenly they were gone. And his mother was lying on the ground, clutching her side. He touched her hand and...
...there was so much blood...it stained her white smock red, spread before his eyes. There was a scream...was it his? There was blood on his hands. Her blood? Even now she was trying to soothe him, with gentle words, a gentle humming that she couldn't even finish as she bled out, and he couldn't do anything, and the blood spread over his hands, as if to turn his entire body red with...
He wasn't sure when he came back to reality from the horrific nightmare. His sister was looking after him, as he'd become terribly sick from the trauma - in fact, for many years afterwards, the very sight of blood, any blood, made him violently ill. For a while, his spirit was utterly broken - at first, he began brawling more and more, trying to make sense out of the pointless violence, finding an almost twisted enjoyment in it. Only the firm yet gentle care of Fairuz, forced to take up the role of mother figure, helped him slowly recover himself.
About a month after his mother's death, the murderer himself turned up dead, having died from a loss of blood due to multiple lacerations. Reine never found out who did it - but all he could see was that it must have been such a painful death...it was that moment that determined him that he would do his best to live on for a mother that could not.
While the pain would never completely go away, Reine kept smiling in the face of adversity determined to keep his mother's kind nature going, and kept making his own plans. On his 30th birthday, he announced that he would be travelling the world as his mother did. His family gave him their blessing, and he set out to travel as much of the world as he possibly could - it was the beginning of his wandering years. Over the course of decades he would wander from town to town, from country to country, always walking and experiencing new and wonderful places. To make ends meet he did whatever odd jobs he had to, but oftentimes he would work in various bars, applying his knowledge as a travelling bartender. While never famous, in time he became well-respected amongst bar owners as he would work anywhere and learn from everywhere, from the most opulent and glamorous bars in Suraja to the dingiest and dangerous sailors' bars in Wuld, able to bring the flavours of the world wherever he went. Through his experiences travelling and working in bars, he slowly began to recover from the worst of his traumas and haemophobia, though he never became completely comfortable around blood. The one thing that never changed was how he made ale - the very same way his mother had, every time.
While he would constantly wander and rarely stay in one place, on hearing the news of his father growing ill, he raced back to his family's bar in Suraja to be at his father's side for the remainder of his life along with his elder siblings, whom he had not seen in years. For the last nine months of his life, the three siblings reunited took care of their ailing father until he passed away peacefully. His last words were that he was proud of his children, and not to cry, as he would be with their beloved mother in the afterlife...
While the siblings enjoyed their temporary reunification, they all knew it couldn't last. Julian had joined the Magi Liberation Movement, his fiery spirit and determined nature leading him to fight for the rights of magi everywhere. Fairuz had studied hard to become a teacher, particularly interested in history, and was currently applying to work at of the major colleges in Ikigai. Shortly after their father's passing, the three went their separate ways on good terms with each other, though their busy lives led them to not have a great deal of communication with each other.
Reine continued his wandering. Because he was in Ikigai himself at the time, he managed to avoid the infamous magi riots in Ethea. As soon as the riots ceased, he returned to Ethea and attempted to contact his brother, but so far has heard nothing. While he hunts for rumours to find if his brother is still even alive, he has decided to take up work in Dagos to continue plying his trade, trying to follow in his mother's footsteps to make the world a slightly better place for all life, and perhaps indulge in a bit of the fantastic night-life.
