It has been a long, tense day across the length and span of Ethea. Thousands of citizens of every race have gathered together to show their support for their side of the issue. The cacophonous swell of opposing voices fills the air as each side attempts to drown out the other with the sheer volume of their voices. While the day has passed with few incidents, tensions are high and the people are restless. Hours have passed since the polls first opened and the hour in which the results will be revealed. A loud, clear voice cuts through the noise like a knife, demanding the attention of all in attendance. “Ladies and Gentlemen, citizens of Ethea, if you would please direct your attention to the screen for just a few moments, the voting results have been compiled and we are ready to announce the conclusion. A hush falls over the gathered crowd and hundreds of individual faces turn to face the gigantic holographic display or towards the monitors by which those not in attendance have tuned to watch the historic event. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00The hologram shifts from the image of a clock and displays the results. The law has been passed. In a split second's timing uproar follows. One side rejoices while the other laments; all raise their voices in either praise or disgust. DAGOSAn overjoyed man in his late thirties flings his arms in celebration, losing his grip on the camera he’d been using to record the event. The device flies straight and true as though guided by the hands of fate itself and strikes one of the opposing protesters. The young woman falls flat, bleeding from a head wound. Outrage follows and all semblance of order is lost. The overzealous are the first to react, flinging themselves over the concrete dividers that separate the two groups. Fists fly and hateful slurs are shouted as mob mentality takes hold. The fight quickly turns lethal as picket signs are used as clubs and other, deadlier weapons are drawn. FELICIOld men toss jeers and slurs at a group of young magi. One of the members finally has enough and pushes the human away from her with an anger that sparks into minor flames at her fingertips. The reaction of the men is to scream in horror. "She's trying to kill us!" would be the cries heard above all else as they attempt to escape their deaths, all but one who pulls a gun on the woman who had singed his shirt just moments before. From there all sides come in to support the ones they believe to have been the true victim. Hunters, police, representatives of the Runic University, and MLM members who had been stationed there in case of such a reaction. CAMLORNSmaller townships such as Camlorn are slower to descend into madness, but descend they do. Upon hearing of the situation in both the capital and Dagos, local military commanders give orders to suppress any potential riots by any means necessary. Unfortunately, these orders are interpreted as authorization to fire upon both sides and Camlorn follows the example given by the large cities. The scene is one that replays itself in horrifying detail across the land. Many watch in horror as the chaos erupts. Some attempt to flee while others merely watch in utter disbelief, though one thing is shockingly clear. The Second Magi Riot has begun.

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"] Samuel watched as the riot broke out. He had kept to the edge of the crowd, not participating in the demonstrations or protests. He supported the magi and had voted as such. But that didn't mean he wanted to participate. In anything really. Such was his way, staying uninvolved and unbiased. However, when the riot broke out he sighed to himself, surveying the scene. Unlike likely a lot of people, Samuel was still calm. He knew there was undoubtedly danger for himself and others. However if he let emotions take hold of him, no-one would be helped at all. Hmm...there didn't seem to be a legal response as of yet. Normally Samuel didn't involve himself in political affairs or affairs needing policemen. At least not on his days off. However, there was a limit to how detached he could be. Some bystanders might think the guy was being very cold considering the situation. In truth, it couldn't be further from the truth. He started mumbling to himself. "If I try to stop the guys using the signs as bludgeoning weapons, I'm likely to get bludgeoned myself. If I try to grab one of them by the arms, they will undoubtedly struggle and I won't do any good. In fact, if I dash into the crowd at all, I'm liable to be swept away or trampled. No, none of those are quite right..." He sighed heavily a few times, running a hand through his already unruly long black hair, not sure at all what he should be doing. "Showing my badge will do no good at all. It will likely just make the situation so so much worse. So what do I do? I'm not the sort of man to have to wait for orders before acting. I have to have been taught strategy by my parents for some reason...but what can I do here..." He wrinkled his nose, looking around and trying to find someone to help. Individual people were likely to be a better strategy to help the situation. He'd had a feeling this sort of riot might happen depending on the decision. Tensions had run high. And yet he'd still dressed eerily like a police officer. A long navy blue coat buttoned up to the collar, and dress boots. He still looked fairly official. It was a habit Samuel seemed unable to break. He scratched his chin, still unsure of how to proceed. [attr="class","natag"]408 ● @d2 ● notes: When even Samuel is unsure, the situation is dire. T he first thing that Aurelio had done when the fighting started was drop his sign and run. He didn’t know what started the riot and he frankly didn’t give two shits about it. All that mattered right now was getting to safety before something terrible happened. He’d managed to avoid the worst of it all for a while, but that quickly changed when he was spotted by a trio of overzealous humans and they chased him. Aurelio dipped in and out of alleyways to elude his pursuers, but they were determined to catch him. He wasn’t going to let that happen though and Aurelia was doing a good job of directing him for the moment. The all-out sprint was starting to tire him out though and there was only so much encouragement his sister could heap on him before he could run any more. He had to find help, and fast! Told you to go left, dunce!Little preoccupied running from the guys with bats that wanna beat me to a pulp, Sis!You better not slow down! It’s my body too!I know, damnit! Just keep the directions comin’ and we’ll make it out of this!Alright! Go right at that street sign!Got it!Aurelio almost slipped as he rounded the corner, but he righted himself and continued his dead sprint. His pursuers managed to gain a little distance on him, drawing a curse from the desperate magi. Luckily, there was someone nearby that seemed utterly detached from the chaos around him. Aurelio didn’t like his chances risking the guy for help, but few other options presented themselves and at least this dude wasn’t running around killing people like everyone else; better than nothing. “Hey, buddy!” Aurelio shouted. “Little help over here!”

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel had avoided most of the more raucous hooligans. He didn't quite know why, but it might have been his lawful demeanor keeping them away. Regardless though, action WAS happening around him regardless. There were people fighting, knocking into him, knocking in store windows. He knew he should be stepping in, especially with the vandalism. That said, he was only one man. There was very little he could do to help, and besides no-one seemed to be in said shops. They had already run. He was still wondering about how he could help when he heard someone yell for help and his head immediately swiveled to look at where it came from. He located the guy, who was being chased by some rioters with bats. Well that wasn't good. The guy obviously needed help. Samuel cocked his head to one side, stretching his neck before nodding emphatically in answer to the guy running towards him. He ran towards the guys running at him. He stepped quickly aside to let the guy needing help pass, unsheathing one of his katanas and knocking two of the hooligans in the knees with his sword in turn as they tried to knock him with their bats. One of them hit him in the arm, but it was a graze so Samuel was mostly okay. He'd bruise though. They were worse off though, thanks to the cop. The guys screamed and he couldn't help but smile. He was a cop, but it gave him some satisfaction when he was able to use his sword against someone. The riot mentality was something that didn't really get to him. Part of feeling very removed in most situations was that it also applied to being in the middle of a riot. The third guy looked more and more uncertain about his life decisions and Samuel almost chuckled at the look on his face. The guy was clearly caught up in the moment. Samuel unsheathed his other sword, standing firm as the guy was still running towards him. The chicken responded to the game of chicken by making a u-turn and running the other way. Samuel was quite aware that making a show of violence and confidence sometimes made people realize they needed to take other actions for their own good. All that said, he had attracted the attention of other people in the riot. Muggers were a possibility with his swords. Seeing the swords would likely make them think he was well off. That was true, but Samuel hadn't been stupid enough to bring along his wallet or cash. He'd been pretty sure a riot WOULD happen. He turned to the guy who had yelled for help and shot him a slight smile to show he was friendly. "Perhaps it would be best to move. I think your shouting combined with my swordsmanship has attracted attention." He was being matter-of-fact mostly. A urelio might’ve stopped to cheer if he’d not been running for his life when the cop started towards him. As it was, he chose to continue his dead sprint until he was well passed the guy even before he’d drawn one of the swords belted to his hip. He only stopped when he heard the dull thunk! of steel meeting wood as the cop engaged the thugs, though he nearly keeled over when he stopped to heave great gulps of air into his chest. That was way too close for comfort!Just imagine being the one actually doing the running. No thanks. I’m perfectly fine here in the nice empty hole in your head.… your head too, Sis.Semantics.Aurelio chose to ignore his sister and take in his surroundings. People were still going insane; they were looting and fighting for seemingly no reason at all and Aurelio suspected that it would only get worse as the day progressed. Most of this area had been cleared of anything valuable to the many wandering eyes present; eyes that were setting on himself and his rescuer with unsettling frequency. Me thinks it be a good idea to run the fuck away now.Gee, what could’ve possibly given you that impression?Probably just the guys that what to rob and/or murder us. Aurelio turned to the cop as he drove the last of his pursuers away with a mean look. “Thanks for the save there, buddy.” He forced as smile that lasted less than a few seconds while the guy talked. “Yeah, that might be the smart thing to do,” Aurelio agreed. “Question is, where too?” Samuel

The Hunters assigned to monitor the situation in Dagos are quick to act as pandemonium erupts. Blades and firearms are drawn and quickly used in the elimination of dissident magi. Some do their duty and attack the worst of the offenders while others simply use the chaos as an excuse to murder innocents. Regardless of their intentions, each Hunter rushes into the crowd with the tools of their trade claiming the lives of any who resist.
Further away from the epicenter of the conflict, fighting still exists. Small skirmishes between groups pop up here and there as gunshots and screams litter the city air. Pilferers and vagabond take advantage of the pandemonium to break into stores, while the bloodthirsty use this as an excuse to take out whomever they wish. Among them are scattered the ones who simply wish to escape this hellish mayhem by fleeing. Some chased and some not, figures dart past and into alleys every which way. Chaos is currently in reign, and they want nothing of it.
There are, however, the precious few who seek not to spread this insanity but rather to quell it. As the final zealot turned tail and fled from the duo he'd encountered, suddenly another stepped out from the shadows and slammed a fist into his face. With a bony crunch the final man fell in an unconscious heap to the ground.
Out from the shadows then emerged the one to halt him. A woman dressed in dark clothing with bits and pieces of metal armor affixed to her attire. Her hood was up, but it did not conceal her face as she stepped further into view. Light blue eyes stared hard at the two individuals left standing before her, flickering between the two. The gaze was piercing, made even more intimidating, perhaps, by the presence of a large halberd slung over her shoulder. And perhaps also by the rather large looking canine that trailed alongside her. The hound growled menacingly at the duo, baring blood-smeared teeth. Particularly towards the magi. It should be quite obvious by now the figure before them was a hunter. If the splatters of blood across her clothing and weapon were any indication, it was also a well trained one. Others in the area took one look at the figure and wisely choose to make themselves scarce. Unfortunately for these two, they had most of her attention currently.
However she hadn't attacked either of them- not yet. Even the hound was held at bay with a gentle noise and a motion of her hand. "Now what have we here?" The hunter asked with narrowed eyes that flicked but once down to the defeated figures before snapping right back up to the two. "More common thugs? Or some of the sparse innocent?"

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel heard the guy agree with him about how they should move, but there was a question tacked onto the end of it. Where would they be able to go? Samuel wasn't sure himself. The riot would be taking time, and space. A great deal of space. Getting away from the riot itself was pretty much impossible. It was escalating even while he thought. He knew that was happening. "Somewhere with people who haven't seen what I just did, preferably." He shook his sword to clear his blade of anything that might still be lingering on the steel. His preference was generally cleaning it with a cloth, but there was clearly no time for that. He preferred to take care of his blade as well as he did everything else in his life. Neat and tidy life, neat and tidy mind. However it seemed that today was a day for his mind to be more cluttered. Samuel supposed he would have to make his peace with that fact. He took a cursory glance around him, to check who all was looking at them. There were a few, but most were still causing mayhem in other ways. There was one person with a hound who seemed to have taken an interest in them and Samuel wasn't entirely sure whether he felt uneasy because of the gaze, or because of the general situation. He wasn't exactly accustomed to feeling uneasy period. "Yeah we should move. If we stay too much longer, we'll paint another target on your backs and my efforts to stop the thugs will have been in vain." He had heard the words of the person with the hound, but he hadn't entirely been sure whether it was directed at him, the guy he'd saved, or the surroundings in general. The blood on the clothing seemed to say that like him, they had training of some sort. Or they were a butcher or a thug with training. Either way the prospects didn't seem exactly bright and shiny. He was tempted to move on his own, but he wasn't exactly inclined to leave someone alone when they'd needed his help before. He was a cop for a reason after all. " So, basically, just pick a direction to run in and hope we don’t run into anymore assholes that wanna tear me apart?” Aurelio sassed. “That’s what I’ve been doin’ this whole time, buddy.” In fact, he was sure he’d been running since this whole thing had started in the first place, so more of the same didn’t sound like much of a plan to him. Then again, he couldn’t think of a better one on his own and decided that it was the best that could be done for the moment. He might’ve said more, but his thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of another wrinkle into this mess. His heart skipped a beat when he saw the huntress and her nasty looking canine friend. Both were spattered in blood not their own, which left little doubt as to what they’d been doing for the past few hours. That thought by itself was enough to set both twins on edge. Out of the frying pan……and into the fire. Aurelia groaned from her safe space in her brother’s empty head. Why can’t anything just be easy for a change?Because “fuck us”, that’s why.Aurelio raised his hands in placating manner. “Look, lady, we don’t want to cause any trouble. Me and my new friend here are just tryin’ to get out of this mess, so no reason to cause a scene, yeah?” Gods, he hoped that this hunter wasn’t one of the psychotic ones. That was the last thing that he needed right now. Samuel

Considering that the brunette hadn't actually responded to her, the huntress' gaze instead fixated upon the magi. Those icy blue eyes stayed trained on Aurelio for a while. Along with the eye of her rather hostile looking pet. The woman looked pensive. Eventually her gaze flicked from Aurelio to the dead thug lying by her feet, then to something behind her. Tension was thick throughout the silence. But eventually the huntress seemed to come to a decision.
With a sigh, she shook her head. Her gaze returned to Aurelio and the brunette with an arched brow. "Though it looks like you've already caused a scene," With a brief nudge of her boot she indicated the still body next to her while pointedly looking towards the others scattered by the two, "...I suppose you don't seem nearly as bad as some of the others I've found. You actually seem reasonable, Gods forbid. Try anything though and I won't hesitate to kill you. Either of you." She said bluntly, looking over towards Samuel as well.
With her free hand, she gently pat the head of the glaring canine beside her. "Hush, Magnus. No need to eat them just yet." The large hound calmed down a bit after that, though it still glared at the two wearily. Meanwhile the huntress glanced back once again. only this time she called out. "You can come out now!"
Slowly, a small group of four others appeared from around the corner. It was a mix of both magi and humans, but they all had one thing in common; they all looked more or less terrified. Once the huntress had given the all-clear, they stayed fairly close to her as she continued walking. Though she was not yet done addressing the two she'd found. "If you really want to get out of this mess, then I suggest you both come along. Especially you." With a nod of her head she indicated Aurelio. "Most of my brothers and sisters in arms are not exactly as...concerned with actually trying to keep people safe. Many of them are acting as bad as the rioters." A disgusted noise left the woman as she scowled. "Meaning they wouldn't hesitate to kill you. Or you, for that matter, for simply being there with a magi." Using the end of the halberd, she pointed towards Samuel.
At this point was was walking past the two. The small group of people following her stayed close, with Magnus right behind them. Though the hound glared at the two as it went past, it didn't attack either. "So I suggest you keep up, unless you'd rather go up against someone else on your own." The woman called back as a final offer. Whether or not they followed, she continued on her way with her entourage.

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel heard the hunter speak and nodded. "Yes it was not ideal that that happened. However, if you feel inclined to check, I'm sure you'll find that the guy knocked down there is still alive. I knocked out his knees and he hit his head on the pavement. There's no guarantee as to how he will be at the end of the day once the riot has raged on, but I'm a policeman and I try not to take lives if at all possible." There were of course times when he had to do that, like when he was on a case against some particularly difficult opponents. He preferred options that left his opponents alive though. The thug had been too weak for Samuel to have to permanently remove him from all equations. He was however glad that the hunter beforethem was one of the good sort. He heard the offer to the magi and Samuel smiled. "I'll come along. I'd prefer to be of some help in the mayhem. I may be off duty, but I think all hands on deck are needed for this one." The hunter woman seemed like she was okay, and he was relieved. The last thing he wanted to do was go toe to toe with a hunter after all. That just wasn't covered in any of the handbooks. He would have had to wing it completely. Samuel was not particularly fazed by the prospect of someone thinking he was with a magi and getting angry. Regardless of whether he was with a magi or not, if something happened to him they would be assaulting a policeman. Wouldn't go well. Samuel was mindful that he could get hurt, but oddly enough he thought he wouldn't particularly mind as long as justice was served eventually. However, he shook off such morbid thoughts and followed the hunter with a slight smile on his face. His swords brushed up against him while in their sheaths as he walked. Samuel tightened the long low ponytail he had put his black hair in earlier. It was advantageous to be with a hunter during this riot. It would help him find people who needed his help. He was very pleased at least one hunter was remembering their duty to the people. O h, thank Gods, Aurelia breathed and Aurelio sighed empathetically. They were both alive by some miracle and were even in the company of a hunter that wasn’t looking for an easy kill for once; she even offered to What were the odds of that happening? You can say that a few more times, Sis, Aurelio said. He looked at the hunter and the group following behind here. They all looked about as scared as he felt, but there was comfort in being part of a large group. After all, there was strength in numbers, especially when they included a badass hunter and her vicious looking pet. Aurelio looked over to Samuel as he said his piece. “I think I’m gonna follow you too,” he said. “Strength in numbers, right?” He jogged after the hunter until he was walking beside her. A wary glace was cast down at the dog as he walked, but he would do his best to ignore the beast. I really don’t want to follow this woman…I know, sis, but we don’t have that many options at this point.…I still don’t like it. She’s a human, and it was people like her that killed dad.Look at it this way, sis. The guy that just saved us is human too, so there must be a few others, yeah? Besides, if we run into any trouble, we can just ditch the hunter and run away. Just you and me, like always. Aurelio could almost feel the wheels turning in his sister’s head as she thought on his words. She might’ve hated human, but the cold, hard logic of the situation was that they wouldn’t make on their own. He knew it, and she knew it too; there was only one answer she could possibly give. Fine, but I’m keeping my eye on her… She pause, worry blossoming in their shared chest. And so should you.Aurelio smiled. Already planned on it, Sis.Samuel, West

The huntress only glanced over at Samuel when he started speaking to her. The expression she wore was unimpressed and uncaring. "I hardly care whether or not you killed them or merely knocked them out. They're out of the way and that's all that matters for now." She responded drily as she continued to walk. "And while I can appreciate a lawmen, if you think," The huntress called back without even bothering to look at the brunette again, " That your status as a policeman will make any difference to the rioters, then I certainly hope this will be a learning experience you live to utilize."
Despite her words though, she did not say anything else on the two joining the procession she was leading. The Huntress kept her pace brisk and her eyes open as she hurried the group- Samuel and Aurelio- through the city. The utter chaos from the riot was clearly spreading now. A number of times they came across other bands of people even when sticking to the alleyways. Most were looters and rioters rather than other groups of people trying to get out. Which meant a number of times the Huntress ended up fighting off the wild men and women they came across. Some fled when most of their numbers were lying either dead or brutally knocked unconscious on the ground. Others barely had the chance to think about it past their first mistake of engaging the Huntress and her group.
Clearly Samuel and Aurelio had lucked out in finding one of the few sane Hunters still within the city.
But as their little ensemble grew closer and closer towards the edge of the city- having cut a (sometimes literal) swath through the hostiles- the Huntress' dog abruptly stopped and began growling. In turn the Huntress stopped with a frown. She'd gotten more bloody and battered since they'd begun- the toll of protecting those who had followed her clearly showing. Now her guard was up as her familiar seemed to be reacting to something. "Magnus, what i-"
The answer came abruptly and swiftly in a large bout of fire.
One of the citizens- a magi- the Huntress had been escorting fell. They didn't even have time to cry out as a large axe nearly split them in half, burning them all the while. A figure came with the weapon, having apparently dropped down from the buildings above. It was a man dressed in dark leathers that showed a number of marks and darkened stains upon it. Upon his appearance in the middle of their group while simultaneously cutting down one of their own, the small group immediately dispersed in panic. The Huntress spun around fully. Pure fury was on her face. "Gerard! What in the Gods' names do you think you're doing!?" She growled angrily as she leveled her halberd towards her supposed brother-in-arms.
Gerard, as he'd been identified, merely grinned toothily towards her. Though his upper face was bandaged, he didn't appear to show difficulty pinpointing where she was. "What am I doing? My job, of course. I smelled the scent of prey mingling with yours, and thought you simply hadn't gotten around to finishing them off yet. So I'm here to help, of course." In response to that, the Huntress merely scowled. But then he sniffed the air for a moment. His head turned towards Aurelio, Samuel, and the others who hadn't run very far.
"And anyone who would dare associate themselves with these terrorists is prey by default. And you know what we are to do with prey." Despite the man's size, he moved rather quickly. The now blazing axe lit up the alleyway as he made a dash for the Aurelio, Samuel, and the others. The axe was hefted backwards for a swing even as the Huntress began moving herself towards him. His intent was clear:
Slaughter them all.

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel heard the hunter speak about how it hardly mattered whether he had killed them or not and he arched a single eyebrow upwards at that. He thought it mattered a great deal, but perhaps it wasn't quite as essential to know it in the case of a riot. In any case, he was not about to start an argument with the hunter when they were being so polite in general. It just wasn't in Sam's nature to do that. He heard the hunter speak about how being a lawman wouldn't help and he smiled gently, with a touch of amusement in the look, simply shaking his head slightly. "I don't expect them to treat me differently because of my status as a policeman. But it means I will treat them differently because of my badge. That's the only difference." He followed as they weaved their way through the riotous crowd. It was a chore really, but he couldn't really say it went badly. It went smoothly up to the point...well...that hunter's dog sensed something. Fire. There was fire. He parted with the group, his hands automatically going to his sword hilts. He did not draw. Not yet. He suspected that would be necessary, but he did not want to provoke someone this...this crazy. Their hunter friend was quite obviously upset at this 'Gerard'. He was here to slaughter them. Samuel could tell that much. He had pretty well said as much, that he considered anyone with the magi to be prey, and terrorists. And that was when Samuel drew his twin katanas, as the man dashed for them. Fire lit up the alleyway, and Samuel did his best to avoid it, trying to keep his long blue coat out of the fire as he dashed to the side of the alley. Perhaps it would just be best to take it off, but he wasn't going to for now. An extra layer could help him. He hoped the magi would scatter because he didn't need to be trying to defend them in this mess. Self-defense. It was self-defense. Nobody called him prey. That he swore on the Ainsworth family honour. The friendly hunter was coming in, but so was the enemy hunter and his axe was being brought back for a swing. Sam's katana's would not stop that, he was fairly certain. Well shit. The Huntress didn’t respond, and soon enough they were involved in something more important than chatter. The new Hunter was ruthless. Even if the actual blade of his axe did not yet connect with any of the civilians, the flames did. A few managed to get out of the way in time, while others were suddenly awash in flame. Their cries from the searing heat rang out through the alley just as the Hunter laughed. Some of the flame managed to catch on Samuel’s coat, the fire burning a decent portion of it as he had just managed to make it out of the way.
As the Hunter swung his arm back for another closer and deadlier strike, the Huntress was able to reach him. With a mighty strike from her halberd she managed to knock the Hunter to the side towards Samuel. However he rolled back onto his feet, mouth set in a wide and toothy grin.
”Betraying the Hunters, Jasmyn? I always knew you were soft.” He taunted, dancing back as her halberd came swinging towards him yet again. The huntress was scowling now, eyes alight in anger. She didn’t even bother giving him a verbal response: the woman pressed the attack and faced him head on with her canine by her side and biting at him. Which in turn forced the Hunter back and on the defensive from both woman and beast. But still he talked and taunted.
”But if you care so much for these mongrels, it should be all the sweeter for me to make you watch them die.” Suddenly he dashed backwards further and out of her range, instead switching his focus to the nearest civilian she’d been trying to protect. Meaning the katana-wielding policeman was abruptly looking at a charging Hunter. ”And it’s all your fault!” The Hunter roared as his axe was brought upwards to attack, the steel lighting up with fire as a swing was aimed directly for Samuel.

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel watched the fire wash through the crowd and winced visibly. Seeing a group of people barbequed was never ever going to be on his list of must-sees. Their hunter friend managed to knock the guy towards him. Samuel couldn't really fault her for doing that it was very difficult. However, he was aware that since the guy was closer to him now, there was a larger chance of something happening to Samuel specifically. And he couldn't help but be slightly frustrated at that turn of events. Their hunter friend pressed back. Apparently her name was Jasmyn. He stored that information away for later. Then the guy was raging and swinging his axe at Samuel. In a short moment, Samuel weighed his options. He could try to block it with his katanas...no it was a swinging axe and it was on fire that option just wasn't viable in the least. He did his best to dodge, hoping his long coat wouldn't catch fire. But well, he'd deal with that if it happened. "You're the one going all psycho in a riot like everyone else. Don't blame her if she's actually still got her fucking sanity." The last sentence was muttered under his breath. Samuel couldn't help it. He generally didn't swear at all but well...this was a dangerous situation. He figured he was completely allowed to swear. His morals said he should be trying to protect the magi or the people the hunter had been protecting, but he was going to take care of his own neck and get it off the chopping block first. He had his priorities after all.
