Okay so listen. His history is sort of a mess. If you have read Vashti's biography, you would know that Vashti and Malikai were VERY close as children. They never really left each other's side and they had a close relationship with their mother. Malikai held a hatred for his father because he knew what he was doing to Vashti but he couldn't do anything about it because of his father's threats. When his father did try to verbally attack him, Malikai threatened to over power him one day which caused fear in his father and he stopped. Malikai does have acknowledgement of Xenos, Vashti's alternate personality and accepts her for who she is and instead befriended the alternate and they also have a decently nice bond with each other. Very friendly when she comes about and typically they can hold conversation for hours at a time which also keeps Xenos at bay and keeps her from killing.
You should also know that Malikai was taken away when the assassination took place a month later along with his mother. His sister was left behind because their father threatened to kill their mother. From here you can do anything you want. You can have anything happen from the time he's taken until the night that he came home and found his mother practically beaten to near death. when that occurred, his father came after him and attempted to kill him. As a result, his fire magi side erupted and so he received the black sclera, red eyes, long twisting horns and a 17 inch tail. He escaped with his mother that night and got her the help she needed before the two split in Elios, Suraja and he headed right back to Dagos.
From there he found his grandpa and told him the story and out of gratitude he allowed Malikai to stay at his home. Now, remember, Vashti and him were split apart for a very, very, VERY long time. She has gone through a lot and at that time she was very confused on why he was back. Malikai did small things at first as he kept his distance. He took flowers to her room to brighten it, brought her lunch to work and would buy her shirts and dresses. Eventually this began their close relationship once more and Vashti began to place her trust into Malikai and the two grew inseperable.
In 2592, February 9th, their grandpa passed away and in his Will he left the house to his two grandchildren and the bar/strip club he owned to Malikai. Malikai dyed his hair purple along with his sister to help support his sister so she didn't feel alone in looking unnatural.

He is a very patient and loyal man, capable of doing absolutely anything he pleases if he finds it to be the right time. He is a bit of a sadist, taking it upon himself to punish someone if they step over their boundaries with him. He does have a slight short temper but that is easily fixed by drinking. He can be a bit cocky, rude and ignorant but that is just his nature. Honestly, if you choose to take him you may pick anything you like. Just make sure he is loyal to his sister. He does drink but isn't that heavy type of drinker.
