Into Untrodden Depths Details: Word has come in that strange sounds at night and the early hours of the day have been heard coming off the shore located to the east of Dagos against the sea of L'Filleseul. When people went to investigate, the sounds were coming from a newly discovered cave entrance that had been revealed in the beach. Its appearance is quite surprising and from the looks of it, it appears quite deep, though no one knows for sure how far the cave runs. The eerie sound coming from within has kept most at bay and the Dagos government has sanctioned off the entrance for now. However it is sending out requests for a small group to investigate the newly found caverns. All the government can offer as information on it so far is this: 1) The cavern has never been seen before and has opened up within the sands of the shore. It leads down at something of a ragged and steep incline, and from the looks of it the insides are pitch black. 2) Those who have gone inside before unofficial entrance was forbidden say it leads to a number of tunnels and they could faintly hear the sounds of running water. It seems to be quite the expansive cave network. 3) The eerie sound that comes from the entrance supposedly sounds similar to some soft wailing noise. Though it's a bit quieter outside the cave, from within it apparently echos off the walls at a louder volume. Whether it is wind or something else is yet to be determined.
Not much at all is known of this strange new cave and its contents. Nor is anything known about the odd sound that seems to emanate from it in the darker hours. The Dagos government has requested those who take the job to go at night (they will be given proper equipment to assist in exploring) in order to not only explore the cave's depths but also find the source of the noise should it be inside.
The risk here mainly comes from whatever lurks inside this cavern and simply exploring it. There's no telling what characters may run into down there in the dark.
