Quick we need a musical number about wanting more ► Flinching Lelianna had not expected the sudden appearance of an upside-down Cadence appearing right before her face. In her garden though, she was relaxed enough that she didn't jump five feet off the ground and possibly hit the girl. Instead her head merely jerked for a moment before the tension left her once more. The birds soon drew her attention anyways. Looks like they liked Cadence. She couldn't understand the little birdsong the group had going on between them, true. it made Lelianna smile all the same though. Again, she was happy to find someone so in tune with nature. From the looks of it at least. The fact the birds had approached her at all spoke volumes.
"I suppose that's true." Lelianna mused, focusing in on the forest for a moment. With the tree behind her it was easy. There was that familiar hum. That aura that radiated out from every living piece of greenery within the woods, connecting it all. It was soothing. Gentle. Familiar. Not to mention what had kept her company for eight whole years. Lelianna drew back out of her focus before she drifted off into a trance. It always gave her a particularly peaceful feeling that she was somewhat reluctant to leave at times. Lelianna offered Cadence a beaming smile. "I would love that." More sincere words probably hadn't been said.
Far as Lelianna was concerned Cadence could visit whenever she wanted.
The hermit got lonely sometimes, okay?
"Oh yes, there's plenty. Skjorn is a bear. He's awfully friendly but, ah, I wouldn't recommend getting close to him if I'm not around. There's Bastan and his pack; they're these wolves I see now and then. Usually I run into them during winter time when they follow the game. The pups are so cute! Though I feel bad sometimes for the deer. Oh! And there was this one badger once..." Lelianna ticked off each on her finger, but she stopped herself from going further. They could be there all day if Lelianna was allowed to go on like this. "But uh, yeah there's a lot. Way too many for me to list and still have your attention I think." Lelianna joked with a laugh. "Maybe you'll get to meet some of them? I mean, if you really want to I could introduce you to a few. You've already met some." And the birds so far seemed quite taken with the winged girl.

Suddenly, she felt a small weight on her head. She cast her eyes skyward and found a bold, baby crow perched atop her head, leaning forward and looking down at Cadence. He was a fluffy boy, probably a new flier, and cawed weakly at her. Slowly, she reached a hand up and scritched the curious corvid on the neck. “I would love to meet them,” Cadence confirmed. She cupped her hands in front of her and clicked. Eventually the crow got the message and jumped in her hands. With a small laugh, she set him down on the branch and pushed herself off. With a slow glide, she landed next to Lelianna. “Okay! Let’s meet your friends,” she declared. And then she would actually stay put by Lelianna’s side instead of jumping around. While they walked and met, Cadence would chatter on about her own friends and family. She told Lelianna about Drew and his wedding, Kaveri and the temple they restored, Fey, Shinzu, Sterling… and then her “family” back at home, which consisted of over a dozen people. The ones most dear to her were the children (Soak and Stoke, both magi), Geno (the grandpa-figure) and Reboot (the android they rebuilt from scrap. Well, not her, but everyone else!) Of course, she would pause enough to give Lelianna time to interject for questions or introducing her animal family. And of course, with every introduction came the friendliest greeting in the most cheerful voice, as well as petting or food, if allowed. ► Lelianna really didn't need much more encouragement than that. Cadence seemed eager to meet her "friends," so Lelianna was only glad to introduce her. Using her staff Lelianna got her her feet and brushed her pants off a little. "Then let's get you introduced!" She responded cheerfully. First though she turned to the apple tree and gave it a nearly affectionate pat and smile. "You mind helping us out a little though?" While Lelianna was familiar with the usual spots her animal friends were in, she wasn't able to track them down like a bloodhound. Arecia, the very forest they all resided in, on the other hand...
With the help of the wood's guidance (and the occasional twig or something similar falling from above to hit Lelianna on the head) the hermit managed to guide Cadence through her garden to find her animal friends. While they walked Lelianna was only too happy to hear all about Cadence's own friends and family. This was really, really nice for the hermit. This easy chatter with someone else. Someone who could actually respond back to her! Not that she was dissing her animal friends; they certainly held a special place in the girl's heart.
Most of Lelianna's introductions went off without a hitch. Though she had to calm a good number of the animals from running off or, heaven forbid, trying to attack her new friend. The scent of the city still sat heavy on Cadence's person, and many of the animals could immediately sense that. But with a few soft words and consoling from the redheaded hermit they eventually approached the girl and even allowed her to pet them. Skjorn might have been the scariest initially. He'd lumbered over eagerly to Lelianna once the girl had come in sight. However once he spotted Cadence that friendliness had turned into a semi-hostile wariness. Only after receiving a number of scratches and assurances from Lelianna (who indeed had been pulled into a bear hug and cuddle session for a while before managing to escape) had he calmed down. After Skjorn, Lelianna figured she had taken up enough of Cadence's time. Besides, her legs were probably tired from walking so much. At least she got to see that Lelianna's garden was indeed a massive thing through all this. They only managed to leave it once during the meet-and-greet session.
Lelianna wiped her face free of bear slobber. Before they'd left Skjorn had given her a "kiss" goodbye. It was good-natured but by the gods did she want to go wash her face. it wasn't helped by the fact that a few of her other animal friends had said farewell in much the same manner. "Ugh." She huffed, eventually lifting her shift to wipe her face "clean." "I think that's probably a good place to stop. I don't know if I want to submit myself to a full slobber bath." She joked laughingly, shaking her head. Once her face was clear she turned it to Cadence with a smile. "I probably should let you head off at this point. I won't want to take up your whole day; especially if you were here to see your girlfriend originally. Wouldn't want to keep her waiting for too long!" Though she wouldn't deny that she was a little sad to see Cadence go. She'd had a blast after all getting to meet someone new. Someone who actually might return again! it warmed her heart, it really did. "And please, feel free to come around here whenever you want. Just be careful about Skjorn, maybe."

She let the animals get used to her before trying to pet them, even offering them food as a peace offering. The experience of someone who took care of children was able to stay the impulsiveness of excitement. She knew the value of letting people warm up to you, just… sometimes she could be a little over the top with it. The pair of women had a small following from some of the animals, as once the realized the newcomer was no threat, they were filled with curiosity about what she was like (And if she’d drop any more city food from that bag of hers). With the bear, Cadence stood unwavering with a smile, letting Lelianna work her magic. She wasn’t afraid of the much larger creature, as Lelianna assured her he was well-meaning, and she already trusted her new friend entirely. Plus she could always, you know, fly away if he decided to attack her out of fear. Maybe it would take a few visits for him to get used to her. She was okay with that. She laughed at every animal kiss Lelianna received; she really was loved here. She cast her glance skyward to see the position of the sun, as barely visible as it was beyond the canopy. “Oh, you’re right, I shouldn’t keep Fi waiting!” Quick as lightning, she whipped towards Lelianna and gave her a friendly hug. “Okay! I’ll tell her to visit you, too! I’ll see you later, then, Leli!” She made sure her bag and instrument were secure and closed, gave Lelianna a final wave goodbye, and took off in flight once more. She couldn’t wait to tell Fiamma about her new friend! Hopefully she’d stop being such a lonely-butt and go visit sometime.
