Personality overall Bailey is essentially a skirt-chasing cowgirl who doesn't feel a lick of shame for her actions, nor the need to stay tied down to one particular place or person. So it's safe to say Bailey is an outrageous flirt who doesn't care too much as to who she's going after. With her thick southern drawl, she loves to lay on the charm to everyone she meets. That isn't to say she's only good for a bit of shirtless wrestling. Overall Bailey's a genuinely kind person. Her approach to everything comes with a calm, laid-back demeanor. She doesn't get ruffled quite so easily, and she's got a healthy amount of patience. People she's sweet on she treats with a great deal of kindness and loyalty; she's always willing to go that extra mile for a friend in need. Probably while making a few teasing jabs here and there along the way. Still, once she cares for someone they're as good as family. Although there's some pitfalls, as there always are with people. To people who don't know her well, Bailey almost never seems to take anything seriously. It can sometimes rub people the wrong way, including her employers. Her flirting can also irk some people, depending. She knows how to switch it off when someone's not interested, but that usually means she likes to get her entertainment in other ways. However, she takes her job pretty professionally (if acting a bit casually on the surface) and does a damn fine job 99% of the time. The few times she's ever gotten dead serious were actually quite frightening. She's already a pretty dangerous dead-shot, and she isn't afraid to add a few more notches on her belt. appearance According to rumor, Bailey looks the most like her father. Well, except for the robot arm and the fact she's a gal of course. She inherited her dark brunette hair from both sides of the family. Unlike her mother, she'd cut it short so the chocolate colored locks only touch her shoulders in some places. Occasionally she'll let her hair grown out until it touches the small of her back, but 9/10 she leaves it short for practicality's sake. It doesn't get in her way as much when she's on the job like that. On top of her dark tresses rests her ever present hat. It's a worn little thing she's had with her all her life. Honestly, it's one of the few things she has that belonged to her father. Because of that, it's followed her through most of her life until she finally hit the age she could wear it without it falling forward to cut her vision out. On the hat itself rests some sort of badge that apparently was her father's "calling card." Considering he left it behind, Bailey decided to make it her own. Physique wise Bailey's a pretty sturdy gal. Standing at a healthy 5'11", her life as a mercenary has given her a body hard to scoff at. She isn't a musclebound amazon by any means, but her hard work's given her form nice definition. it's also given her a fair amount of scars from some of her nastier jobs. The most prominent, of course, being her totally robotic left arm. It certainly draws attention, although Bailey hardly cares. The arm itself is a sleek grey and glows blue where the circuitry runs. It extends all the way up to her shoulder, where it's been merged into the flesh and thus Bailey's torso. It's fashioned out of a lightweight but hardy metal to prevent it from getting easily damaged or pulling Bailey down to one side. She makes she it's always in good condition and does checks on it regularly to check for any sort of damage. Clothing wise, Bailey likes to keep to a theme while she's working. Wearing red and leathers, she might as well be a sheriff from the old times. She's gotten a few comments on this, some good and some bad, but has laughed them off. It's her style, so why should she give a damn what others say? It certainly leaves an impression either way, and she's gotten a good enough reputation now for her work that people are starting to learn to keep their mouths shut. Especially when her Colt Python, Beau, is out of her holster. Fashion When Bailey's on the job, she wears her full cowboy getup. The leather armor she wears is reinforced with metal to add to her protection. The pants she wears, also reinforced with leather, contain pockets for her to hold even more ammo along with the ammo provided by the double belt she wears; one of which displays a proud gold "BAMF" buckle. Her boot are also heavy leather and designed to resemble an old fashion cowboy's with detachable spurs (in case her mission requires some semblance of stealth to it). She tops it all off with a long red scarf and, of course, her trusty hat. When Bailey's not on the job, her attire still contains a bit of country western to it. She adores cowboy boots and it's damn near impossible to catch her without boots of some kind on. Otherwise she likes wearing jeans and button-up collared shirts, occasionally with an additional jacket to go with her look. Comfort is an important part of her style. family relations Parents Mother: Martin McClain (Alive, but it's unknown where he is) Father: Delilah McClain (Living in Felici) Siblings Brother/Sister: Frankly, who knows how many half-siblings Bailey could have? Extended Family Beau: Her trusty custom revolver she's had since she was 16. Bailey keeps it in stellar condition and always takes time to take care of and occasionally modify her "one true love." Matías Sáenz: Bailey's long time partner and one of the few that's immune to her flirtatious nature. He's a pretty big man, beating Bailey at 6' and never letting her hear the end of it. The large dark-haired fellow ended up meeting Bailey when they got paired together for a contract. Through a large number of sarcastic quips, teasing jabs, and playful banter, the two became thick as thieves. When the two are near each other it's basically a free show for anyone nearby. They love making digs and snide remarks to each other, and Bailey has frequently been the target of Matías' "try-not-to-shoot-her" expression. It's all fun and games though, and the two make a damn good team. Bailey would very well give her life up for this man, and he the same for her. He was the one to drag Bailey back to a hospital when she lost her arm. biography Let's get this show on the road then, shall we? Bailey McClain's parents met much the way Bailey meets people now: after a session of some serious flirting. Apparently looks weren't the only thing Bailey inherited from her father. Bailey was the result of the brief tryst, and after tracking her father down the two got married for a short time. Short enough for Bailey to inherit the name McClain, but unfortunately Martin's flirtatious ways didn't exactly make him the best father. The marriage ended in a divorce, but it wasn't a horrific blow up when it happened. When Martin left, a lot of his things ended up staying behind for his daughter to find. One of which was his old hat. Bailey hasn't let the thing leave her side since. Aside from that, Bailey just focused on growing up in Camlorn with her mother. The whole while she'd try and get whatever news she could of her mercenary father. There were quite a few tales of his exploits, both professional and non. bailey ate each up greedily, and couldn't help but want to follow in her father's footsteps to become just as good (if not better) as he was at gun-slinging. Although her mother was originally adverse to the idea, bailey was a persistent little thing. By the time she was 16 she had gotten a Colt Python for her birthday. It had taken a great deal of money and a lot of string pulling on her mother's part to get it, but Bailey was beyond excited. It would become her closest "companion," who she'd modify to her liking over time. For years she practiced her hand at shooting, gradually getting better and better as she aged. Turned out she was a natural, who'da thunk it? She really was daddy's little girl. It also became pretty obvious she'd taken after her father when it came to social interactions too. Bailey's collected her own string of lovers as she grew older. She also finally got her wish to become a mercenary, taking on the cowboy persona as a little nod to her father. Bailey's time as a mercenary proved to be pretty dang beneficial. She was a near dead-shot who got done practically any job thrown her way. Not to mention she found fast friends with most of the others in her line of work. Most importantly she met her best friend Matías Sáenz. The two ended up meeting when they got hired to take down their employer's rival in the drug trade. It was a bit shady, but the money paid real well. Plus, she got to meet Matías. In the middle of the night they stole their way into the warehouse and raised absolute hell. Meanwhile the whole time, Bailey and Matías were calling out taunts and challenges to each other. Seeing who could make what outrageous shot, or take out the most goons, or dash away from the chaotic scene the fastest when their job was done. Over the roars of gunfire they essentially cemented their friendship. Not to mention the fact they kicked ass together and both realized it pretty quickly. Bailey continuously took jobs alongside Matías until they were basically a working duo. Eventually she made enough to help get her mother out of Camlorn and into Felici, where her mother currently lives and works. However Bailey's work took a sharp turn when the magi started to rebel and break out of their relocation camps. Considering she'd done well in all jobs prior, she ended up getting hired to help contain and eliminate the problem where it cropped up. Matías got hired too, and together they set out to quell some of the issue. It was during this assignment that Bailey ended up losing her arm. Badly bleeding and nearly dead, she was rushed back and given her robotic arm to replace the one she lost. After a few months of rehabilitation, she got used to her new limb and even came to like it better than her old one. Of course, the fact she was now a cyborg occasionally drew some strange and judging stares her way. But what did Bailey care? It worked perfectly fine and could even serve her as a shield. Her old arm couldn't do that. After the magi job, Bailey got a little more cautious around the people she'd hunted. Getting an arm ripped off was not exactly something you simply forgot about. Still, she amazingly held little open grudge over the fact. First of all, her new arm was a lot better than the old one (though she could've done without the horrible pain part). Second, she'd been trying to kill those magi in the first place. The way she justified it, they were technically defending themselves. Does she try to dig under their skin and act a little more sarcastic than usual to them? Yeah, a bit. But that doesn't mean a friendship's impossible or that she'll limit her flirting in any way, shape, or form. She'll just be a little more jumpy around them. Currently Bailey still works as a mercenary most commonly alongside Matías. They both still take single contracts by themselves (or with others), but they really do work well together. Sometimes Bailey gets jobs to eliminate magi; admittedly she goes about those executions with a little more gusto than she normally would. Default Skills - Convenient Shield: One of your arms can shift itself into a bullet proof shield that is just large enough to protect all of you if you crouch down into the tightest ball you can. - Firearms I: Can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with firearm weapons. Personality overall Clarisse, otherwise known as Claire by her sister, is not only the embodiment of a wolf in sheep's clothing but also something of a walking contradiction. As the shadowy ruler of the nightclub and lounge, Obsidian, Clarisse is a very business minded individual who doesn't like her time wasted with those outside of her employee. Her associates often regard her as the shrewd, calculated one while her sister is the more flamboyant and all-around kinder appearing sister. While she seems very charming and affable, Clarisse more often than not comes off as cold, strict, and downright terrifying in some situations. For a person outside of her "family," she can be very intimidating and nearly dismissive of others. She has an intense case of resting bitch face, and that's the expression her face mostly stays in when interacting with others. It usually hard to get much of a reaction out of her for outsiders. However with her employees, she's like a completely different person. While outsiders see her as this strict and indifferent business woman, her workers know her as a kind-hearted and almost nurturing woman who genuinely cares for the well-being of those under her. While there's always that initial hesitation about approaching her (the resting bitch face game is strong with this one), she is almost always willing to listen and come to an understanding with an employee. Need a break due to some issues in your personal life? Talk to her and she'll honestly consider it. Really need to buy something vital to your physical or mental health? She very well may assist you in procuring such an item. So long as you don't take advantage of her generosity and kindness, she's very willing to extend it. She and her sister are exceptionally picky when it comes to hiring individuals to work for Obsidian, so the ones they do pick are nearly regarded as family. But even so, one should never underestimate her or take her generosity for granted. She does not tolerate failure, and the woman can be straight up merciless when she wishes. Borderline cruel even, and she's not afraid to take certain measures to ensure that more failure will not ensue. No matter where someone stands with her, they should always remember to regard her with caution. [/PTab={background-color:#f0f0f0;width:530px;height:535px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;margin-top:-6px;}] [PTab=APPEARANCE] You walked right into her plan; Run as fast as you think you can appearance Someone might say the Diacha kids looked very similar to their parents, but then again no one's ever seen head nor tail of them to make a comparison. So instead people just say they're the reverse of each other. Clarisse got the lighter colored genes out of the two. Her hair is long and falls down her back in light blonde waves. it's actually incredibly soft, though the only person she ever lets touch it is her sister to occasionally braid it. Otherwise it mainly stays down and left to fall loosely around her shoulders. While down it helps conceal her ears. Instead of human ears, she has cat ears with blonde fur. Much like her hair, the fur on her ears is soft while the ears themselves are sensitive. And much like her hair, she only lets her sister touch these and even then very rarely. Her hair also helps frame her mainly angular face and the sharp features it holds. It also frames her light green eyes that sit above high cheekbones. Physique wise she has a boxier frame that isn't particularly muscular but isn't devoid of it either. Due to training and keeping herself well-exercised, she stays in pretty good shape. Standing at 5'10" (4 lovely inches higher than her sister), nearly all of her skin is unblemished but for a few faded and thin scars here and there. Probably the biggest would be one closer to her hip as though she were stabbed there. She also, though few see it, has a tattoo on her right shoulder blade depicting a string of blue flowers. Her sister has a matching one but in green on her left shoulder blade. Whatever the tattoo's significance is, only the sisters know. However the flowers' colors match their opposing sibling's eyes. Along with this little anomaly, Clarisse also has thicker and sharper nails that resemble claws rather than normal human nails. When her sister and her were in hiding, she had to keep them very well trimmed and constantly painted to hide it's darker color. Now that magi aren't legally hunted down, she lets them grow out into their claw-like form now. Another magi trait of hers is the long blonde furred tail she also has. Back when they were in hiding, she would keep it wrapped around her waist and hidden beneath her shirt. Now she lets it trail behind her in plain sight. Though it would be wise not to try touching it. Fashion Casual or at work, Clarisse has an excellent taste in fashion. Her outfits mainly consist of pants for mobility and practicality though, but she has been know to sport a dress now and then (although it is a very rare occurrence and almost always force on her by her sister Katreena). She's also, surprisingly, a fan of beanies and usually uses winter as an excuse to wear them often. When she's at work she wears the typical white shirt and black pants combo that serves as the uniform for Obsidian with their symbol branded on the back of it. It's a rather large building that sits within Dagos yet has it's own "perimeter" so to speak. The exterior is mainly a sleek black design with purple neon spelling out it's name in grand letters. A rather popular place, the club itself is split into three levels open to the public. Firstly there's the ground floor equipped with rotating lights, upper balconies, seating areas, stocked bar, dance floor, DJ stage, and an excellent sound system to allow patrons to dance and drink their night away. Upstairs is the less rowdy main lounge with soundproof walls to prevent the noise from below filtering in and mixing with the music here. The bar on this floor is even larger and better stocked with an immense amount of liquor. There are numerous seating arrangements throughout the lounge and televisions for guests to watch channels on. Finally there's the upstairs private lounge that can be reserved for private parties, otherwise it's also open to the public. Patrons up here can order drinks from the main lounge, and also food from a small menu. biography How exactly the Diacha children came to their position from has remained much of a mystery. Most of what people hear is based off of rumors rather than fact. Very little has been verified by either Diacha child, and sometimes the things they say contradict each other so know one knows who spoke the truth. This much is what people have been able to gather through myth and small traces of fact: The Diacha siblings were born to poor parents within Dagos' slums. Either one or both of the parents had to be of magi descent, for both siblings ended up as magi themselves. Much about the parents themselves is completely unknown, and the only information given about either by the Diacha children is that both are most assuredly dead. The accounts of how are varied with none actually confirmed as true. Their identities range from being a bunch of nobodies to rebel magi to cheating politicians. Whatever their true identities were this portion of the story always ends up the same; Katreena and Clarisse were left abandoned to grow up by themselves in the slums. After that Katreena and Clarisse had to make do with what they could. And thus began their gradual rise to power. As the stories go, the duo started out small. Many speculate that in order to get the kind of money and influence they did on the nightlife of Dagos, they had to get involved with the dark side of the city. Thieving, murdering, or getting information; most people pin the Diacha siblings down for rising to power by slicing up the competition in the most underhanded of ways. Only a few people remember the siblings much at all, and most of their accounts are so muddied that the information is partially useless. One way or another, the sisters managed to steadily climb their way to the top. When the magi were being forced into the relocation camps, the Diacha children went into hiding. They vanished from the public eye, but in this period Obsidian was constructed. Through one way or another the siblings managed to keep their identity a secret, along with a few other magi they had smuggled into their care. Some say the club wasn't even theirs to begin with, and they actually "inherited" the club from its original owner(s). Nonetheless it was a very dangerous time, with magi outside of the relocation camps being hunted down. Fortunately anyone who went snooping about the Diacha sibling's business conveniently disappeared in seemingly unrelated events. Although anyone familiar with the twins might suspect these disappearances were planned. While the nigthclub's owners stayed in the dark, the club itself quickly became popular. When the magi in the relocation camps began to rebel, the Diacha sisters became even harder to pin down until the genocide against their kind ended 6 months later. Only then did the two start to emerge as the owners of the club, and even then their emergence was slow and calculated. Questions would definitely come with the fact the two magi siblings owned one of the top nightclubs that had been running when magi were supposed to be locked away. Fortunately they had enough money to persuade a lot of the curious-minded into dropping the subject. As for everyone else, there's been a lot of speculation on the use of other "persuasive" methods. As it is, no one knows the full true story of the Diacha "twins" and all they did and do over their life. It seems like the only ones who know are Clarisse and Katreena themselves. And so far no one's gotten the courage to try asking for the whole truth. Personality overall Designed around an exceptionally complex A.I., "Sigfrid" is complex as a result. The unit is programmed to be an effective and responsive combat machine first and foremost. As such she is relentless and ruthless when it comes to completing any task she is set to. However the unit is also programmed to be very team-oriented and to take her allies into consideration whenever engaging in an encounter. So while the unit can appear to be a merciless murdering monster one second, she can just as easily become the stalwart attack dog defending the injured or endangered members of her team in the next. While most of this is due to the programming of the unit, there is some debate of whether or not more contributes to this. Outside of the most basic personality programming, however, the unit displays many extra deviations in terms of personality. Sigfrid in particular is ruthlessly sarcastic and blunt to the point of biting. While she may vehemently defend her comrades within battle, outside of it she will endlessly snap and jab at them with snarky, sarcastic commentary. The unit is notorious for saying exactly what she thinks and never apologizing. There isn't a lick of shame or guilt that seems to hold her back when doing so, and all-in-all she has a very "tough love" relationship with those she associates herself with closely. Whether or not the unit has any understanding (or wish to execute said understanding) of the term "caring" or "nurturing" is unclear. However the unit has been reported to do actions outside of the typical norm for her allies when they appear distressed. Yet they are often done in such a nonchalant manner that it's impossible to determine if it's simply to make sure her teammates are not distracted in battle or if it stems from something else. Further unique attributes to the unit's personality exist in the form of a unhinged bloodthirstiness that appears once in combat. Sigfrid is merciless and often leaves no survivors unless specifically instructed otherwise. The unit has been reported to use cruel tactics in order to lure and defeat enemies. She also does not appear to show any preference or opposition for any race in regards to social or combative settings. This is largely believed to be due to her programming making no preference between targets. [/PTab={background-color:#f0f0f0;width:530px;height:535px;padding:10px;padding-top:0px;margin-top:-6px;}] [PTab=APPEARANCE] Even while we sleep, we will find you appearance "Sigfrid", as per design, is a very compact combat android designed to be light and prove a smaller, harder target to hit for enemies. As such, Sigfrid takes on the appearance of a young girl standing at no higher than 4'4". To anyone who is unaware of her origin, she looks like any other child. Blonde, soft synthetic hair sprouts out of her head. It doesn't honestly need cleaned, but she does so more out of habit than anything else. Though it is long the blonde tresses are more often than not up in a ponytail of some sort to keep it out of her face. However a few strands typically manage to find their way out regardless (to the android's annoyance and eventual begrudging acceptance). Sigfrid's features, predictably, are mostly childlike with a fairly round face. Although typically blue, Sigfrid's eyes will often change to a glowing amber color during combat as her internal combat HUD activates. Her pupils also, unsettlingly, have a habit of shrinking into pinpricks when the android is feeling angry or particularly malicious. This reaction was not one programmed but rather some unique trait of the unit. Coupled with her near trademark wide grin, it can be quite the unnerving sight. Physique-wise, Sigfrid is rather unimposing. With the synthetic skin covering up the mechanical processes beneath, she seems no different from a regular human girl. Taking extra care to repair any damages made after battle, there's hardly a blemish on her as well. She was trained and programmed to be an efficient soldier, after all. Routine is her business. She also does in fact come with food and drink processing organs, though the need for either is not actually required. This is more to blend in for specialized operations. Fashion When Sigfrid is in work attire (meaning combat) she typically wears her standard issued uniform given to her line of combative androids. It's a heavy duty coat and trousers combination lined with bullet-proof chest attachments and basic armor, along with a detachable case to store extra ammunition. The boots and gloves that come with the outfit are specially designed so that she has full use of her thrusters without damaging the material. Otherwise, Sigfrid wears typical civilian clothing. Although the unit in particular far prefers a more tom-boyish attire, skirts and dresses do have their own uses. Interestingly enough, any clothing that Sigfrid has personally purchased all retain one quality: softness. Of these, the android is particularly possessive. Origin: Kesar Yakovna Siblings Sigfrid's fellow AS3.2 Androids biography The Advanced-Support Androids, otherwise known as the Örlítið Úlfas were specially designed androids made to assist with the Fokradiin military without costing more living Fokradiin soldiers their lives. However, considering machines were a lot easier to upgrade than humans, the project instead ended up making specialized soldiers to be utilized across the battlefield. With the help of Terra Firma, the Fokradiin military had the mind of Kesar Yakovna mapped in order to create the groundwork for the A.I. to be used with the new androids. A former Commander within Fokradiin's Army, the Commander was known for being an absolute demon in battle and a ruthless tactician. The hopes were that his efficiency and intelligence could be copied and carried over into A.I. form. Thus the first verison of the Advanced-Support Androids was created with Project "Fötum Sauðfjár." Unit 3, or "Sigfrid" as she was code-named, was one of the original 5 units created with this new form of A.I.. The inventors wanted to keep the development small to reduce the cost in case the project ultimately failed. Fortunately, however, it seemed mostly a success. Though there were a few bug given the fact it was a relatively new idea, a large part of the project managed to achieve what they had set out to do. The A.I.'s managed to retain a great deal of the intellect and memories of Yakovna, discovered through follow-up testing. However, the experimenters also curiously discovered that, while the A.I.'s all originated from the same source, there were different deviations in personality across the five androids created. Though unique, the deviations did not impose too much interference on their combative ability. Which, fortunately, had also largely transferred over from their mapped contributor. The first version of the AS Androids was eventually deployed into the Fokradiin military under careful supervision and observation. Designed to be smaller in order to be less of a target for enemies, the androids actually did fairly well. They served as a support team deployed mainly to assist other company's on missions. After a strew of successes with very little failures and only one loss of a unit's shell, they were eventually called back for major changes and improvements. The second version of the Örlítið Úlfas were made with a far better mapped A.I. and more dedicated designs. Most of the bugs from the original form had been worked through, and a general design was decided upon. As well as a new second ulterior goal for the units. The first designs had been focused on strict combat effectiveness. As such they had resembled deformed metallic beasts more than anything. In the second version, they were designed to instead resemble human females complete with synthetic parts to cover up their true nature. The reason? To not only serve as effective war machines but also good undercover spies. While their main use was still on the battle field, 5 new units were created to serve as soldiers and undercover agents. Much like the first version, the second version of the Örlítið Úlfas yielded mainly positive results. Both in combat and out. Proud of the achievements their creations were bringing in, the inventors only sought to improve their little machines even more. And so the units were eventually brought back in for yet another major change. This time to make them even easier to utilize. The third, and current, version of the Örlítið Úlfas has them designed not as small adults, but rather humanoids more closely resembling children. This was not only to give them an excuse to explain away their small size when they were doing reconnaissance, but also to make them less suspected when moving about. Their synthetic bodies were also refined to be more believable, and lingering issues in the programming of their A.I. were fixed to prevent any glitches. Their build was also made more lightweight as well, for this new version was going to be dedicated more towards long-range aerial combat to provide effective assistance from afar. With 20 new androids made, bringing their number to a dedicated 30 total, the Örlítið Úlfas were distributed amongst the Fokradiin military to provide support. After the last major change (with two minor ones made), Sigfrid has served 3 years in her new Android body. She was assigned to a team with a handful of her "sisters" with her to make them more effective in combat. Nearly all operations she's been in have been met with success. The unit herself has proven very useful in combat, managing to pick off targets from a very long range. Despite her harsh and sarcastic demeanor, she's proven to be a good teammate to those she worked with. However, recently she has been called back from her usual posting for, of all things, some assignment within Ethea. Although skeptical, this order has been given through her creators within Terra Firma. So it wasn't like she really had a choice anyways.
