this is gospel for the fallen ones

Taran doesn't always make complete sense. She likes the evening, but dislikes darkness. The coolness of evening is welcoming to her, but she doesn't like the darkness of it. She cares immensely about people she's become close to, but her sometimes distrustful nature can make it very difficult for people to actually become close to her. She's a quick-thinker and can analyze situations and react quickly, but she also doesn't like to take orders from other people in battle. Other times, she can tolerate orders. But in her opinion, if her life is in danger she has a right to say no to anything she likes. If you push her to do anything, she will remember. However, if you do manage to earn her trust, there's no better person to be on your side. She will do most anything for her friends. Within reason, of course. If you hurt those she cares about, she might lose control and rage at you. She enjoys a good conversation as much as the next person, but sometimes Taran just likes to be alone to reflect. Of course, if you're relatively quiet, or have good questions, she is much more likely to tolerate your presence in her quiet time.

Taran's a smartass in either form, but she's more cocky when she's in her masculine form.  The way Taran experiences being gender-fluid is that some days she'll be a guy, and another she'll feel like a girl.  She has little control over her gender ambiguity because it will shift to the 'right' form whenever she feels like that gender.

Taran has the skill ambiguity so she has a male form and a female form. They're both still her, but different sides of her. They still share certain traits though. Both forms have black hair and dark eyes, and they're both five foot eight inches. They have a fair complexion. Oh and did I mention they also share a tail? In its natural state, it would probably be rather fluffy and cute as it swayed when Taran was happy. However, most of the time it is shaved and stuck in pants or concealed with a long coat. They also have canine teeth that are slightly longer and more like that of a wolf.  They aren't long enough to truly be noticeable however. Ideally she'd be able to go by Taran with both bodies, but if someone asks who she is while she's in her female body, she'll answer Tara.  Taran's hair is a bit coarser and thicker than normal now that she's a magi.  A wolf's fur has two layers, an undercoat and a longer coat.  She has that in her hair.  If she's in a warm climate, it just stays like that.  If she's in a place with an actual winter though, her hair can grow into a thick sort of 'winter coat'.  When there's danger close, the shorter hairs stand up like hackles.  This also happens when Taran's very very angry.  It isn't visible as much in her feminine form because of longer hair.

Taran's fingernails and toenails also hardened into the same kind of bone that a wolf's toenails are made from.  Generally her fingernails curve gently downwards like a claw.  They're dark, almost black.  She files her toe claws, but she doesn't generally do that on her hands.  If she needs to hide them, gloves are her preferred method.

Taran's feminine form has an athletic slim build. She has a nice figure too, if you're busy looking. Despite her not always being the most confident, she still tends to have a bit of a swagger to her step.  She prefers to wear boots with outfits she has, claiming that they help KEEP that swagger in her step.  She walks with no slouch whatsoever, an old habit ingrained in her from her time as a bit of a socialite.

Taran's masculine form is also slim and athletic, with enough muscle to be nicely fit.  There's still a swagger in her step in this form too, but shoes are preferred since they give her ankles room to breathe.  She doesn't limit her fashion choices nearly as much in this form.








Tara likes pants and shirts rather than dresses and skirts, although she's been known to dress up too.  One of her favourite things to wear is long coats because she thinks they look fabulous, but also because they hide her tail.  She prefers using swords to guns.  Thinks it has more 'finesse'.

Taran favours pants and hoodies most of the time, with the possibility of goggles on his head.  He likes gloves too for some odd reason.  Not like he needs them, he's a bloody fire magi.  He also prefers using guns rather than swords.

Taran was born on January 3, 2570 to two very human parents.  Of course, they thought she was human too.  She was their little girl, and they loved her dearly.  She was born and raised in Ikigai, in Tensai.  Her first ten years were really nothing but blissful.  Her family was well-off thanks to their engineering company, Calder Industries.  Taran wanted for very little as a child.

As she grew older though, her father grew more and more harsh as he 'taught' her so that she could take over Calder Industries one day.  She was intelligent, and she was the eldest.  Taran did her best to learn and as a result learned a few tricks about mechanics.  His expectations of her grew larger, and so did the sharpness of his tongue.  Soon, his expectations were not something she could seemingly reach.  Gradually, she realized that she no longer wanted to go through with this.  She didn't want to be the successor of Calder Industries.  She started saving up money from some of the things she'd made (hey she was intelligent, just not intelligent enough for her father's tastes).  One day, she packed her things and snuck out of the house at night.

Eventually she ended up in Homura.  She kept her eye out for guys her dad hired, expecting a few.  Unfortunately, she knew she wouldn't be able to hold them off if they came after her.  She had a team of two mercenaries on her trail, tracking her down.  She knew she had a day of evading them at most.  That night when they came into the inn she was staying at, she realized she was in danger.  She ran.  The next day, she found herself waking up in rope, tied to stop her from escaping from the inside of a car.  She was being brought back to her father.  As soon as she realized that, she panicked.

That's when, at age seventeen, her magi traits came in.  She gained her fire magic, her hair gained that second layer of hair.  Her teeth lengthened, and her fluffy tail sprouted from her backside.  She gained her claws.  She'd never felt such pain in her life, and the anger combined with the fact she didn't know how to use her powers.  She burned the mercenaries pretty bad and the car crashed.  Fortunately they had been taking their time to get to her father's.  When the pain subsided for the most part, she stepped from the burning wreckage, pulled the living mercenary woman free of the wreckage before running away as fast as she could.

Taran used some of the money she had saved to enroll in the Magi Training School in Homura.  The fire that had burst forth from her troubled her.  She wished to control it.  She also needed to know why she had to hide the wolfish traits.  Taran learned the answers to her questions, and trained diligently so that her fire was under control.  She also learned why she had been switching genders seemingly, and changing appearance.  It made her happy to be able to do that, considering she'd always felt she switched genders.  Now she could change herself to reflect that.  Of course, to keep her being a magi a relative secret, she has started going by Taran and Tara.  That's only since she quit the Magi Training School.  She'd trained four years there.  It's been a year, and she's travelled to Dagos, sometimes even venturing into Felici.  She rather enjoys the freedom of being a relative nobody, and she makes some of her money from helping people with their cybernetics, or vehicles they might have.  

MELEE I (STARTER): Can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with melee weapons. Examples: Knife, Sword, Sai, Hammer, Axe, Whip, Lance, Chainsaw, etc

Flame I: Just as most Magi Magic, the flames must already exist. So be prepared to carry around matches and lighters with you. You are able to grow fire from your immediate person to double your arms length.

Ambiguity: The ability to change into both male and female, as well as an in-between at will. However, males born with this ability still have a 15% chance of becoming pregnant and are forced into a female or split gender until term.



Heat (Magi starter): The ability to cause at least one appendage of your body to warm up at a time (arm, leg, etc). Your skin can get to the point of burning someone upon contact if you wish or remain at a comforting warmth. Judging your own character's level of experience and practice, they may be able to heat up their entire body at once. Details: During her training at the Homura Magi Training School, she discovered new abilities.

Flame II: (Upgrade of Flame I) Can control a higher amount of flames that can reach up to 12 feet away from its origin.

Flame Propulsion: Need an extra boost of speed? You are now capable of using your hands, feet, or all four as thrusters to shoot yourself forward at a much faster rate. It might take some time for the noobs to be able to keep up coordination with the speeds you're going at.

Magi Trait Enhancement: Taran already has wolf traits, but a second pair of ears have sprouted from her head. They were painful, but they are now useful. They are wolf ears that give her the heightened hearing of a wolf. Taran has also discovered they are able to swivel like that of a wolf.




Firearm I (starter): Can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with firearm weapons. Examples: Pistol, Revolver, Shot Gun, Submachine Gun, Sniper Rifle, Flame Thrower, etc Details: Taran discovered that in her masculine form, guns were preferred to melee weapons.



Beagalltach
The dagger of a Spirit Hunter from long ago. known as "the Little Fury" the blade's edge is blessed to harm spirits. While touching the artifact, the user gains basic proficiency in the use of the weapon, equivalent to Melee I. Also, while touching the artifact, they receive the ability to sense the general location of a Spirit on the spiritual plane, equivalent to Spirit Sense I.
