Oh Honey I’m gonna make your life so sweet ❤ Kelri was in Dagos visiting her brother, and making sure he was doing all right as her mother put it. As the eldest and the youngest the two held a special relationship in that none of the other siblings really understood. Bastion was the one who had covered for her after all, she would be eternally grateful to him if only for this fact alone. He was someone who would always be close to Kel, even if he did live fourteen hours away by train. The trip had been fairly pleasant, mainly because her mother was the one who paid for it. Which of course meant that she had first class seats and her own little travel nook. It was stressful because she had realized a bit too late that she was supposed to have some of her fresh eggs delivered that day to the shop, but because of the trip she would have to postpone it. The morning on the train had been one that was filled with phone calls and emails. She did love the mobile wireless that the train provided after all. After emerging fairly well rested from the trip, she had made her way towards her brothers, but had ultimately decided it would be easier to find her way to the police station. Her brother tended to switch homes every couple of months so she had no idea if the address she had was even remotely correct. Kel followed the main signs into the city, trying to find her brother. Turns out the city was massive, and she ended up somewhere that Kel wasn’t really aware would normally exist. The whole entire area around her looked like it wouldn’t pass a health inspection and should be shut down. It took her a couple of minutes but she finally stopped staring and noticed the people. Oh Tatara, this was not right. People should not have to live like this, without hygiene and without basic needs being met. She would have to bring along supplies the next time she came. Even if she couldn’t fix this, she could at least try to help. Her heart hurt for these people, many close to death and despair from the looks of it. Kel couldn’t help the look of horror that was on her face. This wasn’t right. She had to talk to her brother about doing more for these people. Maybe setting up shelters or food donations from the business in dagos? Something. Oh right. Her brother. Kel had completely forgotten about her brother in the midst of wandering through the slums. She looked completely out of place in the current setting, but she did look kind. Immediately Kel looked around trying to find some sort of signage that could point her either to the police station or the residence number listed. She must look completely unaware, and completely lost. She wished someone would help her, but she didn’t want to ask, for fear of making someone mad or feel any negative feeling. Frustrated Kel pulled out her holoscreen and attempted to call her brother. Instead of the call going through, her holoscreen died. Lucky her. - Fey Lomeli #525 - Is this enough for you to go on? The dream of the future you see, dissolves...
For once Fey felt refreshed as she strolled through the cluttered streets of the Dagos slums. Things were looking up if only just a bit. She had a small place to stay, even if it was dingy. She had some money for food, even if it wasn't much. She had a bed and a shower. She was glad enough to have those simple niceties, even if it wasn't up to the standards of even a cheap motel. It made her feel just a little bit more relaxed than normal as she strolled down the market streets, following a familiar path she had traced time and time again. Nothing to buy today, simply to keep an ear out. It didn't seem like anything in particular was happening, but she needed the practice picking out bits of information as she went about her day. Most conversations were idle ones. The weather, it was hot. Someones kid got in a fight with another. A street rat snatched some fruits from a vendor, again. A... strange woman wandering about a couple blocks down? [break][break] That last one caught her attention. Fey's eye narrowed as she adjusted her hood and picked up her pace. She remembered a certain strange woman she had seen snooping around the slums not long ago. If she was back, there may have been something useful to pick out. The girl did her best to keep her eyes peeled for anything out of place as she made her way down a couple blocks. Nothing too much, just the ordinary dirty streets and run down shops. Fey began to wonder if it was just a false alarm... until she finally spotted something out of place. [break][break] A young woman seeming to be looking around down the street, clearly not dressed in the normal dusty outfits of the slum dwellers. But clearly not the same woman she had seen days prior. This one looked more like she belonged up town than in some sleazy brothel over in the redlight. This one... actually looked lost.“Dammit...” Fey muttered under her breath. She felt a bit uncomfortable walking into what very much felt like the same trap she had fallen into before, but this one actually looked lost, and she didn't want to think about how someone so out of place could be taken advantage of if she ran into the wrong. [break][break] Fey sighed and adjusted her hood to cover her horns, patted herself on the cheeks and headed off towards the young woman. “Um... excuse me... are you lost?” Fey spoke up from behind, her voice somewhat quiet.

Oh Honey I’m gonna make your life so sweet ❤ Kel could have sworn she had charged her holoscreen on the way here. Apparently not. Shaking her head at the entirety of the situation she looked down at her bag. Was it really worth it to try and find a charging station around here? The woman looked around and sighed. The place didn’t look like it had electricity, let alone a charging station. Things weren’t this bad in Felici, at least that she knew of. She hoped she could get her brother to do something about this. These living conditions were not adequate for a flea let alone a person. Kel paused in her thought process and shook her head. Gods and Goddess she sounded privileged and like a spoiled brat. Kel was aware of what she had been given, and what she was able to do. She knew that life wasn’t great for most of the people here, but she hoped the prejudice wasn’t as bad here for magi as it was in Felici. Felici was the home to the hunters guild after all. She didn’t particularly care about the stigmas that came along with idea of being a magi sympathizer. In fact, she rather that all humans actually see what they were doing and realize just how out of line they were. Not that she could say any of that out loud, or to anyone. Felici was a very large city with a very small mindset when it came to Magi and Cyborgs. Coming from the family that she did, however, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to voice those opinions if she ever wanted her family to approve of her. That was part of the reason why she pandered so much to her mother. Plus, if her grandmother ever found out about Kel’s views on Magi she would disown her. Thus she was in Dagos, trying to get ahold of her brother for their mother. She knew she stood out quite a bit, but hopefully her smile wasn’t off-putting. Flipping her ponytail back, there she stood in the middle of the slums, looking very easily taken advantage of. She was standing there, not really knowing where she was, and was surprised as a small voice approached her from behind. Turning around with a smile Kelri was surprised to see a young woman whom seemed to be the same height she was, but she appeared to be shrinking herself. Whereas Kelri is standing straight and confident it seemed this girl was shrinking a bit. Blinking Kel gave a wide smile at the question. “Actually yes, uh, I’m Kelri Anderson, and I’m visiting Dagos to see my brother. He works with the police, and I seemed to have gotten lost because the address on this slip of paper seems not to have been his home." Kel was rambling, but smiling and she was trying to give off a happy aura as to not scare the girl off, plus she didn’t know the impression that this girl would have of her brother. She knew he tried to do right by the Magi, but was often met with resistance here in Dagos by the bureaucracy. She would definitely have to talk to him about setting up a donation station or under the rug monetary donation. “My holoscreen died and I don’t exactly know my way back, and he doesn’t exactly know I was coming.” She gave a small smile towards the younger girl. “Anyway, I know I look out of place and I know that this isn’t my scene but I promise I’m not a hunter, or a stupid human who hates cyborgs or Magi.” She didn’t know why she was explaining this to the girl, but she didn’t want any assumptions or ideas that were incorrect. “Ah, and if you might be able to help, I could give you a reward.” Sweet Kel, she doesn’t realize that she’s laying all of her cards out on the table in the middle of the slums. She just trusts people too much, please don’t use it against her. “I mean if you could?” She didn’t want to sound pushy. - Fey Lomeli #words:689 - Sorry for the delay, its probs crap >> - muse: N/A MADE BY VEL OF GS + WW

The dream of the future you see, dissolves...
After a few awkward moments of the young woman before her seemingly staring off into space, she finally turned round to reply. Fey... found herself soon overwhelmed by the flurry of words that came at her. The woman, Kelri as she quickly introduced herself was smiling brightly and seemingly spilling out everything that came to her mind. Visiting a brother, a cop apparently, the wrong address? That sounded odd, she wondered how someone got the wrong address when visiting a family member. And then her device died. [break][break] “I... see...” Fey murmured in response. She was almost immediately exhausted by how quickly she was bombarded with information. The woman went on to say she wasn't a hunter or some racist. At this point she could have guessed that much. If she was, well, it would have been an odd thought to imagine someone so peppy going out to maim and murder. “I don't really... need a reward...” Fey found herself saying after. She wasn't sure why even. Maybe it was just on account of being blind sided. She certainly haven't expected such a response, she was more used to being told off when approaching someone after all. [break][break] The girl gave a small sigh and shook her head, trying to get her bearings back in order. “Sure... I can take you back downtown... I guess...” She replied again, she certainly couldn't help find the girls brother but she could at least get her back to the city proper while avoiding the seedier places in the red light or black market districts. Who knew what could have happened there, even if it was the middle of the day.

Oh Honey I’m gonna make your life so sweet ❤ Even though Kel knew this sounded like a bad situation, being lost in a foreign city with little to no knowledge of the layout or even where she was, and with no contact to her one lifeline within the city as a whole, she wasn’t panicking yet. In fact, she thought she was remaining relatively calm. Her mother would be flipping out right about now, and complaining that the slums were getting her dirty. Kel inadvertently rolled her eyes at the thought of her mother in the place she currently was. It would be absolutely absurd. Kel gave a small smile and nod as the girl seemed to be processing what she was saying. A thought crossed Kel’s mind and she looked at the girl in horror. Oh no, had she overwhelmed her? That wasn’t good. Kel didn’t want to overwhelm anyone. She just wanted to make sure what she was saying was right and true, rather than mean or wrong. The baker looked down sheepishly and smiled sweetly at the girl who looked a little...dumbfounded at the rate of the words that were being spoken at her. “Sorry if I’m a bit much, I’m just glad someone approached me...” As the girl said that she didn’t need a reward Kel frowned a bit. How else was she supposed to help this girl who was helping her? It wasn’t like she could just.... Kel got a wide grin on her face and looked the girl up and down. She looked smaller than herself, but she could work with it. “If you don’t need the reward, think of it as a gift.” If the girl didn’t accept that, well Kel had other plans. Kel’s eyes lit up in excitement as the girl affirmed she could get her back downtown, or at least in the proximity of it. She smiled and did a tiny little dance of joy. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Kel offered her hand out towards the girl to shake if she wanted to. “I really appreciate it.” Hell, if the girl didn’t look skitterish Kel would have given her a hug, but she was trying to respect the girl’s personal space and it didn’t look like the girl particularly wanted hugs. “Ah, I’m Kel, um, what shall I call you by my fortuitous guide?” -tag: Fey Lomeli #words:387 - notes:If she wont accept the money outwardly, Kel has other plas mwahahaha - muse: N/A MADE BY VEL OF GS + WW

“A-ah... right... of course...” Fey replied, with a sheepish little chuckle. It made sense this young woman was glad someone approached to help out. Even if she came on a little strong. But some people were simply like that, friendly and talkative by default. Certainly not in the slums, but else ware. Fey did find herself remembering a certain chatty little bird however, who certainly fit that bill despite hailing from the slums. She found her strained expression softening into a small smile as she remembered that little girl. The girl sighed at the insistence of taking a reward, or a gift. It seems these types of people were also stubborn in the strangest ways. “Alright... alright... you win.” The small fire girl murmured sheepishly. It would do no good arguing, she supposed. [break][break] Fey flinched a little when the young woman did a little dance of excitement at her offer at taking her down town. She really was just as extraditable as Cadence was. Her hand went to her mouth and she glanced away, trying to contain a small, more natural laugh. After a second she extended a hand to lightly shake the others. If nothing else, at least it seemed like she could actually help out at the moment. [break][break] “Oh... My name is Fey.” She replied with a small nod. A short silence followed which Fey used to glance around the area, regaining her bearings for a moment. After a second she pointed down a diagonal street facing northeast, lined with various ramshackle shops. “If we follow the market streets we'll get closer to down town. They like to build up shops around the roads that aren't so beat up, so its easy to transport their things.” Fey spoke up, a bit of information she had picked up over the years. It also meant that those streets were usually the safest. Usually. One never knew when some upstart gang could want to cause a ruckus everyone could see.

It was a genuine smile that was on Kel’s face as she realized that the younger girl wasn’t going to chew her out or make her feel bad that she was talking in the way she was. Kel knew she could be overbearing, but she also knew that with her brothers it was almost required. When you lived in such a big family you had to develop a voice that could boom. She really didn’t want to scare the poor girl through. “Ah, I’m doing it again aren’t I?” Sheepishly the young woman looked towards the little angel that had emerged from the slums around them and offered a shrug. Kel smiled as Fey accepted her gift. Of course, it was the right thing to do. Even though the girl had accepted sneaky Kel still had plans on what they could do once they got into downtown. That was where the fun really would begin. She wouldn’t let the girl argue with her, especially if they were going to go and do the secret thing once they started moving towards downtown."Yay, I’m always willing to award a good samaritan.” Cue the dimples and dancing.
Kel grinned even wider when she realized her actions were making the young thing dance. It could only mean good news. Plus, did she see a smile earlier? That was most certainly an improvement in her savior’s temperament in the young woman’s eyes. Her eyes lit up with the hand was extended towards her. She shook it with a small smile, making sure not to scare the poor girl off.
Kel could only grin as the girl introduced herself. Taking hold of her bag again she nodded. “Thank you again Fey.” She really was grateful for the girl’s help. Looking in the direction that Fey pointed and she nodded. “I didn’t know there were shops here!” She gave a grin and turned her head towards the girl. “Would you mind accompanying me while I peek in here and there?” She wouldn’t miss an opportunity to help her young new friend. From the looks of it, the girl looked around Kel’s size, if not a little smaller. Time to give her savior some fairy godmother gifts. Kel would wait to follow the Fey’s lead. If the girl didn’t want to stop they wouldn’t, but Kel was bound and determined to give her something other than just money. From the looks of it, Fey didn’t have very many clothes, and Kel knew this would be soon remedied. One way or the other.
Kel gets serious about her fairy godmothering skills.

Fey couldn't help but raise a brow at the notion of not knowing there were shops down in the slums. Just how sheltered was this woman? The place was surely a far cry from any well kept city center, but anywhere with people was bound to have some sort of trade. It had been that way for ages, after all. “Of course we do... but they're nothing like the city.” The girl replied idly, turning to start a stroll towards the makeshift market strip. She gave the young woman another glance as they started forward, her question causing a bit of confusion in the girl. [break][break] “I doubt you'll find anything worth while... at least not compared to the cities products...” Fey paused, feeling a bit of frustration creep in. The notion of some lost city dweller snooping through the shops of the slums, for some reason, grated on her senses. Many of the things they had would be little more than trash to anyone remotely well established. “...We should just go. Some might not like it. You're a target here.” Fey stated bluntly, almost in a stark contrast to her ordinarily sheepish behavior. Regardless of her feelings, that much was true. This young woman was lucky enough she hadn't already been robbed blind. [break][break] “And its a long walk back.” She concluded, a hand running anxiously through her hair. Her eye flicked up toward the sky. The day was still young, but she hardly wanted to risk being caught out after dark. She had a return trip to plan for herself, after all.

Kelri couldn’t help knowing if there were shops in the slums or not. She had frankly never been to this part of Daogs before and Felici didn’t have slums like this. Sure there were some shady areas in Felici, but there was nothing to this extent, and honestly it made Kel super sad to have this be a thing at all. “That’s okay.” she gave a smile over towards the girl who was leading her. “I’m more than willing to give money to those who need it, rather than just spending money on those who don't.” Kel isn’t trying to be contrary here, it's just her ever optimism popping out.
Kel was a bit taken aback by the frustration in the teen’s voice. She didn’t want to offend anyone. Frowning she looked over to her guide and let a small smile take her face. “How about we do what you want to do?” Kel smiled and looked at the shops wistfully. She could have gotten some great bargains, oh well. “If I’m a target whomever needs what they are taking more than I do. Besides...” Kel flashed a grin towards the woman. “I’m more full of surprises than you think.” Years of living with her family would have taught her that.It wouldn’t be the first time sh was a target and it wouldn’t be the last.
Kelri slowly nodded and turned around to face her guide. “I will go wherever you want to go.” Besides, Kelri knew she would be gifting her guide with more clothing and supplies when they got back to the city center. She was armed with the gift card her mother had given her and was dangerous with it. “Thank you again for guiding me.” Fey don’t be frustrated, just let her sunny disposition soak in.

Fey gave a small, barely noticeable sigh of relief. At least this woman was mostly co-operative. Despite some disappointed looks as they began to walk towards the shabby market street. Still, the girl couldn't help but shake her head at the continued retorts. “Not everyone here would stop at taking some coins or jewelry... If you want to make it home you should be careful.” Fey stated, her voice kept quiet to avoid any prying ears, but the tone clear and direct. She didn't know much about this woman, maybe she could defend herself, but one never knew what sort of messy situation you could end up in places like this. It was easy to wind up in over your head. [break][break] Soon they were moving down the market street and passing by various stalls, the merchants chattering in often broken vernacular, bartering with customers or trying to draw others to their odds and ends. Fey returned the smile Kelri gave with one of her own, albeit a bit of a hesitant one. She felt a bit bad, and a bit awkward about being so pushy. Even if it was for her own good. She gave a little nod to the womans thanks, her eye carefully drawing around the area to pick out some landmarks. The old stone building at a corner that looked like it may have been a church years and years ago, the one house plastered with a variety of half working neon signs, the dirt road leading down to the ponds. [break][break] Reaching a corner Fey stopped to peer around the area, humming lightly to herself. “It might be quicker if we cut through some of the alleys... its still light out, so it should be quiet...” She muttered to herself, weighing further options on which path to take.

Of course Kelri was cooperative! She, of course, was the visitor here and didn’t visitors follow guides? Or at least she tried to. Kelri smiled at each person that shook their heads at her. What better way to brighten someone’s day than a smile. Smiles made people happy, well most of the time. “I know, but I have you as a guide don’t I?” Her head would tilt in though. “I am sorry that you feel like I would be taken advantage of though.” The thought made her sad, and she frowned in response. Soon enough though the smile would return as they would move down the market street.
As they continued down the road of adventure Kelri smirked as the merchants began chattering. She understood that this was the heart of commerce in this area so she would do well to hold her belongings closer to her person. She would beam though when her smile was returned and would make note of how cute the girl was when she smiled. It was nice to see a smile in such a desolate place, even iff it was coming from a guide who didn’t really like her. Oh well. Kel would earn more smiles yet! It was her goal. As well as something a little extra. She would watch as the girl seemed to hone in on different places, her eyes following. She was learning a lot about this community as she did. They seemed to thrive even in ruins, and that was respectable to Kelri. These people worked hard to just survive, let alone live, and Kel was passionate about helping. She really would have to talk to her brother sooner rather than later about this issue.
Kelri almost bumped into the young lady, but ended up stopping just before she did. She gave a grin as she noticed that her guide was taking her job awfully seriously and smiled as the girl noted which way to go. “I’m good to go either way.” Kel gave an affirmative nod before continuing. “You obviously know this place much better than I. I’m willing to follow you.” Yes Kel has turned into a lost stray following Fey. She really does appreciate this. “So where ya from?” Small talk, that was fun right?

Fey had to grumble a bit, something about this entire thing was frustrating. It felt odd to even feel that way, by all means the woman was certainly polite. A far cry from the rough and blunt demeanor of the slums. She wondered if that was what made her feel that way, maybe it was just too out of her element to deal with someone from the upper crust of society. At least as she saw it. They way she apologized stuck out as odd to her as well, she would have had to admit. In a way it made the young woman sound like she thought there was no way something would happen to her. Fey wondered if that was confidence, foolishness or simple obliviousness. [break][break] Regardless, their little trek continued on. It was a little odd this Kelri hardly seemed to be put on guard by the place they were in. Even many people of lower means still found the slums repulsive or terrifying. Ultimately it was hard for her to really paint a picture of what this person was like. It hardly followed any observable trend she had noticed in the past, and she had to wonder how those pieces fit together. Perhaps that too was an element of her frustration. People in the slums were often easy to read, but this girl was proving otherwise. Maybe she had just become attune to the mannerisms of the people around her over the years, and something different than that was putting her on edge. [break][break] Before long they arrived at the crossroads and a pause. Fey grumbled a bit. “I guess the alley is fine...” She replied, at least that would get her away from the noise of the main streets. That too was likely a factor in her tension. The hustle and bustle did never do her well. When the next question came Fey turned back to the other woman with a quizzical look, a brow raising lightly. “I'm from... here?” She replied with a bit of confusion. It should have been obvious she was 'from the slums', right? She had never known anything else. [break][break] Well, she had known one other thing. “...Or the camps, I guess.” She added onto the end. The girl supposed if she was really from anywhere else, that would have been it.

| ◀ | [attr="class","PrettyInPink"] Kelri grinned down at the young woman who seemed to be grumbling at her. It really was odd that she was just a little bit grumpy. Kel most certainly wasn’t’. She may not have been from dagos, but a new experience was a new experience and she was more than glad for the company. Company meant that she would be able to get to where she was going, or at least try. The slums weren’t the best place to be alone, at least that is what she had been told. She didn’t really give it that much thought though, as she found that a little positivity went a long way and people were more than willing to help if you were friendly.
Regardless, their little trek continued on.
She may be considered stupid or naïve, but at least she was positive in the worst sort of circumstances. Granted, her circumstances probably would never outweigh those here in the slums. She wasn’t trying to negate their experiences at all, but maybe she could provide a smidgen of sunshine in this dark and gloomy place. Kelri knew that although she was in a bad place currently, the people weren’t inherently bad, and as such she had decided when she had come here that if she could do something she would. She would definitely be doing something for her guide.
Kelri would smile and nod at the girl as she mumbled. “ I shall go wherever you lead me!” She had faith in the girl’s goodness, and knew she wouldn’t let her down. It was paramount that Kelri thank this young woman for her kindness and her generosity after this trip was done. “Ah so you are from Dagos then?” The desert city had many surprises in store it seemed. She was about to comment further when the younger woman surprised her.
The camps? Oh lord, that was not good. Kelri’s happy pleasant face immediately went into a frown. Goodness how could she have been so stupid? This wasn’t an issue with her, but more with her family. She didn’t want to get anyone in trouble, and to find out this girl was a magi? Well that certainly wasn’t good. Oh no, had she offended this girl? Goodness she must have. That was probably the reason for the grumpiness. “You lived in the camps?” Her words were soft and silent. “I’m sorry.” She was no longer happy puppy Kelri but instead was sad puppy Kelri. “I’m sorry about what you went through.” The baker would look towards the woman ad give a resolute node. She would definitely be treating her to something. Probably new clothes. “Are… are you all alone?” She really didn’t want to know the answer but she knew it was the reality of the camps. She hoped it wasn’t though. She really did.

The dream of the future you see, dissolves...
A brow raised slightly when the woman simply grinned down towards her. Maybe she was a bit simple, or otherwise hopelessly cheerful. Those types were out there, if not a bit uncommon. Like the certain bird she had met. Fey supposed she had given this woman all the warnings she could, if she would not behave seriously there was little the magi could do now. For a moment she thought maybe it was better, people with ill wills tended to hone in on those behaving with tension or discomfort. But that hardly mattered when the woman in question already stuck out like a sore thumb. No chance of blending in there. [break][break] In a few moments the pair was heading down a winding alleyway formed by the rears of various buildings making up the slums market. The path was hardly ever straight and the number of corners and turns too many to count. It was all too easy to get lost without keeping careful note of whatever landmarks one could find. Fortunately, however, it could also serve as a convenient fast track if you knew how to navigate the messy labyrinth. In time they would be making their way closer to the down town areas, evidenced by the buildings gradually spreading apart and becoming less disheveled. The outer areas of the slums were at least slightly more well kept, though she would have hardly been surprised if someone from outside the area could not tell. [break][break] “Mm. I was born in one.” Fey replied without looking back. For a moment her eye flicked to the horizon, wondering what had happened to the land it once stood on. The camp itself was razed to the ground when the magi within escaped and the surrounding city suffered significant damage itself. She wondered if she would even recognize the area anymore. It may have been something of a blessing in disguise if it was completely remodeled. “Thanks... I guess.” Fey replied once more, this time giving a glance back. Apologies meant little when the world at large still had little mind to make good on those words, but she could not fault a thought that meant well. A small sigh escaped her. [break][break] “Usually I am... for a while now.” Fey gave a small shrug. It bothered her still, but at the same time it was hard to not feel numb to it many days. Now a days it felt more normal to be alone, being around others was the abnormality.
Notes Another (probably bad) post, slowly getting back into this.

[attr="class","slowlyrics"]I can just hear them now [attr="class","slowlyrics1"]How could you let us down? [attr="class","slowbod"]
Oh dear gods, there was no chance of Kelri blending into the crowd, especially this sort of scene. The woman was far too perky for that. Besides, they young baker always wore a smile on her face, and it would soon become evident that she wasn’t the sort to try and hide who she was. She was happy that she was being led where she was supposed to go, but she also knew that in this sort of area she stuck out like a sore thumb. Whenever someone made eye contact with the young baker she would offer a polite smile and a nod of the head. Who knew where friends would be made.
As the pair headed down the winding side way Kelri couldn’t help but look over at her guide. Her clothes seemed like they had seen better days and to be quite frank, it looked like the girl could stand to put on a little weight. The comment in her head made her signature smile tilt downwards, did she have enough to eat? If the girl was a resident in this part of Dagos she somehow doubted it. Which meant the girl wasn’t leaving without a giftcard to a store, or something. Kelri just couldn’t let her guide go without. That just wouldn’t be right.
At the discovery that the girl was born in the camp’s Kelri’s face would tighten, and her eyes would shift to the left, leading her face in a stony gaze towards the small of the back of the guide that was leading her. “Miss Fey…” Kelri paused a moment before continuing to talk. “I know human’s don’t have the best track records with magi, but…” Her eyes would look into the other’s if her guide would allow, “I keep my word, the reward will be yours.” She had to show this one magi that she wasn’t who the world thought she was. It was important. “Anything you want, new clothes? Food? Do you need a place to live? I might be able to swing some things with my brother to get you into a magi friendly housing development.” She was serious in this, and sighed. “Or, if you just want the money, I understand that too.”
Kelri’s eyebrows furrowed together at her guide’s answer. “Do you have any family left? Do you need me to put you in touch with anyone?” The young baker knew how important family was. “I…” Her words were beginning to fail her but she knew it was important to continue. “I apologize if it sounds like I am prying, I am just trying to help.”
