Private Report Entry #7A-495Date Redacted Supercomputer received by Kupiec. Functions as intended, no apparent faults. Interface is interesting. Similar enough to public technology, but the architecture is vastly different. Should not take long to clean, put to use. Preparing files for transfer. VI “Orbweaver” program to be installed, gather and sort public information automatically. Server space and security is unparalleled. Anansi unaware, for now.
Encryption Complete Private Report Entry #8G-39ADate Redacted After several weeks of investigation, authenticity of documents confirmed. These are very rare books, perhaps the only existing copies, as several are unaccounted for at this time. Many resources went into this. This had better pay off. I leave for Arecia tomorrow.

UNFILED PERSONAL REPORT[DATE REDACTED]
Kupiec was once in love, with a mortal, who did something to scorn him. Even Arithelia seems to greatly dislike this person, calling them ungrateful, and saying whatever fate Kupiec suffers is worse than being fallen. What’s worse than losing power? I have theories but no hard evidence; perhaps being forced to live? Perhaps being bound under someone’s command? Or is there more- suffering everlasting? Mental, emotional, physical torment? It seems the gods experience these emotions as readily as mortals.
Arithelia warned me not to bring it up with him. I think that’s solid advice; but I will investigate this further. Perhaps an audience with the Owl is in order for a history lesson. At least he’s the least likely to kill me for asking.
And gods… Arithelia has fallen due to lack of faith. “Videogames” replaced Her; hint at technology replacing magic? That is well documented in history… And means that gods can indeed fall. The legends of the fallen goddess of war, then… they must be true. This is all theory, of course, but I believe this is one way to kill gods. And one might suspect then that if lack of faith can cause them to fall, then a renewal of faith can lift them up once more. Perhaps I can help Her in this regard. Grateful gods are always a good thing.
Unsure how much faith is needed, though. She does have believers, but clearly it’s not enough. I will also look into this. It’s time to reach back and find some old texts.
>Report End_ ANANSI CORRESPONDENCE: FILE E85FF.85, NON-B9.1.16 Bojmir Revitalization Initiative
Location: Abandoned Relocation Camp, Bojmir Mountains, north of Dagos
Goal: Establish living quarters for Magi
Details: The land of the relocation center was up for sale. Favors exchanged for original deed to land. Camp made mostly of cement, poor condition. Salvage team retrieved documents, analyzed center. Recruited earth magi to use magic to reshape and rebuild center, turn into residences by reshaping buildings and revitalizing greenery. Only very basic solar and wind power will be installed; center will be free of most technology (save for refrigeration, lighting, etc). Town is difficult to access, with nearby fresh water and fertile land; ideal for self-sufficient living. Will send word to magi about center, receive additional assistance and occupants. Detection Risk: Very low.
Stocking with tools, fertilizer, books, items for cultural rites, other basic necessities for starting self-sufficiency. Will have shrine to Arithelia already in place. Due to lack of technology, startup costs estimated to be very low. Will have agent Fey oversee project.
Payoffs: Favors by many magi. Entire town acts as safehouse, and rural base for area. Small amount of rent gathered, unlikely to return profit in good time, but may receive support from magi charities. Evaluation of agent Fey in local leadership position. Experimental overview of Magi developing in isolation. Analyzing movements of hunters. Ownership of land for further use if project does not pan out.

Meeting with Caroline “Dullahan” Enthaupten. A government agent with a record of many successes but poor restraint and interpersonal performance. Sought information regarding her past; chassis is experimental, having visions, mental attacks, etc. Can’t remember much prior to horrible accident 8 years ago. Wants to know classified details of rebuilding, as even she cannot get answers. A tricky request, but a look at her history prior to the accident paints a very different woman, which is highly suspicious.
Accessing files will be difficult. May request Anansi’s assistance on the matter if I can’t make headway. Received basic notes on Hunter’s Guild, promise of more. Priority: Moderate-High
Also wished for link to Ember’s group. Traded a lead for some more intel.

Name: [REDACTED]
Fire Magi. 19. Sought work after saving life. Researched files and interviewed. Slum-runner, low profile, intelligent. Shows promise. Suspicion Level: 7% (Low-Moderate)

Fey. What an interesting individual. Kupiec seems to think I have romantic feelings for her. And I’ll admit it’s… odd being around her. There’s something about her that I don’t understand. And I’ve done so much already, without asking anything in return. She agreed to work for me but… Why am I taking so many liberties? Why does she get special attention? This is troubling, to say the least. I may need to consider distancing myself from meeting with her personally.

Elijah… I’ll find her. I’ll keep it safe. Hopefully She is still in the area, or with Fey. I just need something to work off of. I hope this works.

UNFILED PERSONAL REPORT[DATE REDACTED]
To say it was a night of celebration was an understatement. Stella and Elijah were reunited. Finally.
Years of dead leads, hope, despair, sleepless nights, and a goddess’s intervention… Maevia exhaled the sweet smoke from her cigarette. It was a hell of a journey. She could hardly believe it was over, let alone with a happy ending. Those were rare.
Elijah would take her back to her car in the morning; she agreed to stay in Haven for the night. While Elijah, Stella, Luca, and Cherche all chatted and played, Maevia stood off to the side. She wasn’t really a party person, and this wasn’t her moment. As always, she was the one who made things possible without feeling the need to share in the reward. Still, a smile cracked her lips every time Elijah lifted his daughter up or pat a still-surprised Luca a little too hard on the back. It was sunset and they showed no indication of stopping. She sucked on her cigarette. No surprise, that; she was happy for them.
“I hear you are the one to thank for this,” said an elderly voice from behind Maevia. She turned only to find herself face-to-face with the governor of Haven, Elijah’s sister-in-law, and Stella’s aunt: Cherche Du Ame. She gave the older woman a bow.
“Not entirely, but I did what I could,” she said. Cherche smiled, clearly a bit forced. Her racism was not unknown to Maevia, so it was surprising that she would strike up a conversation with her.
“Maevia, was it?” Cherche asked. Mae nodded. “Elijah tells me you are Terry’s daughter. I’m afraid I don’t know much about him; I only met him once, when Elijah and Serena were wed. He seemed to be a good man, if a little rowdy.”
Maevia laughed, smoke pouring from her mouth as she did. “He was both of those things,” she said.
“Mhm,” Cherche hummed. She glanced over at the reunited father and daughter, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. “And what information did Elijah give you in exchange for his daughter’s return?”
It was said so politely that it took Maevia a moment to register the grave implications behind it. She turned her head to glance up at the leviathan, who continued to watch the festivities with a smile. No wonder she was their leader. “Surprised?” She continued. “You are not the only one with an information network, little spider. I do have to protect my people, after all. That is why I would like to know why my brother-in-law saw fit to lead a broker to our hidden home.”
Maevia considered her for a moment, then turned back to watch Elijah. “Nothing,” she said. “It was a favor to an old family friend. I have no family left of my own, and he’s the closest thing I have to it; I wouldn’t accept anything in return even if he offered, which I’m sure he will.”
She tapped her cigarette and took a drag. “I understand your concern. Haven’s information is not for sale; I won’t doom your people for my own ambitions. Whether or not you believe that is up to you.”
They stood in silence for a time. Elijah’s laughter from a distance drew a chuckle from the leviathan.
“I suppose I have no choice,” she said. “Still, I find it interesting that you come up with nearly nothing for years, and suddenly you can pinpoint her exact location overnight. I wonder…”
Maevia nodded. Of course it was suspicious; she couldn’t do anything about that. More silence followed.
“Would you believe me if I said I only found her by an act of divine intervention?”
It was Cherche’s turn to look at Maevia, a single eyebrow raised as she considered the cyborg’s steely poker face. After a moment, she turned to watch Stella running around Luca with a small grin. “I would.”
Silence.
Elijah’s laughter.
Silence.
Silence.
“Is She well?”
“Yes. She is safe as long as she is in Dagos.”
“I suspect she is no longer there.”
“I’m sure.”
An exhale of smoke.
“He believed it was Her?”
“He wouldn’t.”
“You did not tell him.”
“Would you?”
A raspy laugh.
“You know him well.”
