We are getting the member base involved in the advertising process. You advertise? You get website currency, event points, and/or templates edited by Rinny for your characters of choice. You will be rewarded for advertising through other rp websites, facebook, twitter, skype friends, etc.

rules:
1) When advertising on another rp website make sure we haven't already advertised there/we're not showing up on their first page or in what some sites refer to as their "approved advertisements" board.
2) Also when advertising on another rp website make sure you read their advertising rules. We need to be respectful of their expectations while we are visiting their home.
3) If you are a member of staff the already required "link backs" do not count. This is to reward for first links only.
4) If you are a staff member you are limited a 100 ad cap when it comes to advertising on other rp sites until 07/01/2018 Sunday.
how do?
Use the advertisement code posted below that best fits the website you are advertising on.
You will make one collection thread (an example of a collection thread will be posted below). One is allowed per member. Since the market allows you to pool all of your characters' money together we will only require one character's information.
For every advertising post you make you will either hyperlink our ad on their website to your collection thread or the skype friend's username to your collection thread OR you will link your tweet/ facebook post, etc.
At the end of the event you will be rewarded the total amount of money. Not before then. And, as an added bonus, this event will feature a special reward for 200 advertisements: the chance to create a fallen deity that will be introduced in an upcoming event! This is just a way for the staff team to thank our most loyal members.

NEWBIE GUIDE FOR ADVERTISEMENT EVENT So you want to join in on the advertising craze to get some sweet, sweet money? Well then let’s get you ready for some site hopping! This guideline will help steer you in the right direction so you can go about your advertising as smoothly as possible. Here are some basic tips to get you started: 1. First thing you might want to do is take a look at Inertia’s own Advertisement and Affiliates board. This is what you’ll typically be looking for as you go from site to site. Within it you’ll regularly find sub-boards labeled Link Back, First Timer/First Link, and Affiliate Request. Almost 9 times out of 10 you will be posting your ad in the First Timer/First Link section of any sites you find, so aim for this. 2. If it has an additional sub-board for specific site types (jcink, pro boards, etc), make sure you post the Inertia ad in the “Proboards Site” section. 3. Make a Claims thread so that you have a place to catalog all your hard work and earn yourself some sweet money. You don’t do this for free, right? So make sure you copy-and-paste the advertisement threads you make on other sites and put them there as proof of your hard work! 4. Now, one of the best places to get started is to go through the ads on another site. Got an old site you used to play on? Another current one you run around in? Then hit up the Advertisement boards to find other sites to put down the Inertia stamp! The more obscure the site you find, the better chance you’ve managed to get there first! And if you don’t have other sites to farm ads on, then not to worry! There are a number of sites that provide links to RP forums for you to peruse, such as support.proboards.com/board/9/roleplay-forums or rpg-directory.com/ . 5. In the event of your site hopping you find someone else has beaten you to the punch, then fear not! You can still go through the site’s other advertisements to find different sites to stamp the Inertia ad on. If you’re starting to find that all of the sites you’re searching have recent Inertia ads, then a good suggestion is to close off those sites and start off from a completely new site (usually a horribly obscure one you found in the very back of a site’s First Timer sub-board or something similar). 6. If you do find another Inertia ad, but it’s months upon months old- feel free to bump that ad by posting in it and adding the thread link to your Claims! Members will still get credit for doing this so long as the ad is old (as in, from the last advertising event or even further back). 7. That’s about it! It’s not too hard once you get into the grove, but it can be a little tricky to figure out on your own for the first time. So go forth and good luck: May the odds be ever in your favor! |
