The University is a proud and noble organization. For the most part. Their influence was wide spread and far reaching, and they didn't use it for the best reasons at times. One can learn an diverse array of subjects and attain great knowledge in any one of them. The learning is diverse but the ones who teach it are... lacking. So many things restrict humans. The ultimate reality of mortality, emotions, knowledge, physical ability, but choice as well. The teachers here are quite set in their ways, no room for diversity. Their ways of thought as old as as this pages. I hate it.
I tilted my head curiously at the strange burst of rage, then quickly shrugged it off as I elected to return to my studies. Currently I'm reading on the histories of the previous Heads of the Universities, though I'm focusing on my main studies. It's been roughly a mouth since I've been enrolled and I've been keeping up rather nicely. however there is no rest if I want to keep up. The only advantage I have over these students here is age, (not strictly an advantage though), and foreknowledge. Both won't last very long if I get lax in my study habits.
Thus here I found myself, in my free time, working away my hours just like I did in the classroom a few hours ago. Looking around the room it wasn't so empty, a couple of the younger student and older staff members, librarians, a few janitors. It was much more lively that I remember it. I allowed myself a few more moments to wonder at the changes they've made since I was here last. Not much honestly, small details. The locations of the books, new faces, older faces. When my sight seeing was over I moved back into my work, only to discover that the book was already at the end.
Jonathan sighed heavily, heaving himself to his feet, his coat swaying with the movement, and he moved to located the next volume.
