From the moment Alex stepped foot in Ikigai she just couldn't believe how...different the country was!
The redhead looked around her with wide eyes and a smile ever present on her face. This sort of mini vacation was exactly what she (and her father) had needed after the events in Ethea, it was so nice of the Ikigain government to hold such an event! Plus it meant the magi from Ethea could actually enjoy the new year without worry about the curfew.
Not now Alex. Just enjoy yourself. Stubbornly the girl pushed the negative thoughts from her mind that such thinking brought. There would be no lingering thoughts on the sound of a distant scream. For now there would only be merriment and celebrating. And as Alex walked through the crowds with her father, it seemed like games would be a part of the fun too.
"Oh! Dad look!" The redhead pointed out. There were quite a few others crowding around the stall, but Alex could see through some of the spaces. It was a game! Some kind of scoop game to be exact. Already gravitating towards the stall, Alex fully turned her walk towards it now. "Come on! We should give it a try too!" Why not? They were here to enjoy themselves after all. A game, whether she won or not, was certainly fun. Plus there was always that undercurrent flare of competitiveness that just wanted to see how she and her father would do in comparison to each other. Although the redhead had a feeling Daniel would win, she'd give it a shot anyways.
