How could he have forgotten how colorful the slums could be at night? Every single sign was made from obscenely bright lights that seemed unnatural in their neon tones. Even the graffiti on the buildings seemed to have a fluorescent glow to them. But if it was due to the paint or just the lighting around could be anyone’s guess. Kaveri had to wonder for a brief moment which would actually be brighter, himself or the signs? With a small smile he easily passed through the crowds that scampered about to their own destination much himself. He was on the route home after visiting a few friends he had not seen in quite sometime. Of course, traveling all the time did make it a tad hard to keep up with most.
His multicolor gaze shifted towards a digital clock that ticked away on the side of building reading ten fourty five. Good, he had plenty of time to make it back to the Esfuerzo Hills if he took a bus. Walking that far just wasn’t in him tonight. Pushing past a few people, the old priest adjusted his black shirt with a hood sewn into the back and visible shoulders. It was nice out and he figured showing a bit of skin today wouldn’t be too bad.
Moving towards the bus station he took a turn down one of the many streets, weaving past giggling couples. A few waved that knew of him in passing and a couple of people looked at him strangely due to his skin and hair colors. Well, he did kinda stand out among so many humans and magis in the area. He was brightly skin and hair made him look like part of a billboard. Filling a bit unease he would gather his long hair into a quick ponytail and lift his hood over his head. Eventually, the jelly made it easily to the bus stop, bought his ticket and moved on down the road to the correct stop to await the bus.
Sitting down on one of the many benches he let out a small sigh as his feet began to hurt. Maybe wearing boots was a bad idea? He should of stuck with his usual slip ons but he figured with all the walking he was doing that a thicker shoe would do him well. Apparently, it had the opposite effect. ”This is the last time I wear boots until winter.” He muttered to himself. Letting out a small sigh he took this moment to glance around. Huh, apparently he was the only one here at this stop. Wonderful. He loved getting on buses by himself at night. Well, at least he could probably take a nap for the twenty minute ride back to his stop. Heck, maybe if he was lucky Aiden would be home and had made something for a quick dinner, or waiting up on him.
Violet-blue eyes narrowed at the thought of the sudden human for a mere moment. He better not be digging into places he should be. The last time he caught Aiden in a drawer he couldn’t of been in he snapped it close with a foot very violently. Luckily, the ex-hunter had his prosthetic hand get caught between the wood. If he caught him doing that again he might just take his sword sheath and pop him in the head.
Notes: Boom
