There was something to be said about coming to check on a temple and seeing it in complete and utter perfect order. Cadence had really done her best to keep Arithelia’s temple in order and by god did she pull through. There wasn’t a single amount of paint on anything that shouldn’t have it. There wasn’t any dust that he could find or anything to sweep. All the glass panels where even still in tact. Honestly, he had been worried if she would be able to keep it up while he was gone. Turns out, he had very little to worry about. He almost wondered if she made a deal with Kupeic to keep the place so ship shape but that was pretty doubtful. With hands on hips, Kaveri let out a small chuckle. ”Well, this made my day pretty easy.” he remarked in good humor.
Even though the place wasn’t in need of much he still continued to check out the rest of the temple. He had been hoping to run across the tiny magi and squeeze her into a massive hug. He had so much to talk to the bird about. Alas, though, he didn’t spot her anywhere but he would catch her eventually. For now, he would just focus on checking on the usual things as well as leave her a sweet little note on how epic she was with the temple. Once he was finished with his task, as well as taking a moment to leave an offering for his Goddess, he took a moment to glance out of one of the tall windows. The sun was setting behind ominous clouds that promised to bring in a bit of rain which meant he probably should be heading back home by now. It wasn’t safe for him to be out after dark anymore and people seemed to be on witch hunt for magi that stayed outside at night for too long, especially when they are by themselves. Then again, with how the recent events have played out it wasn’t so safe for humans either.
Elijah’s handy work had been clearly been seen as of late with the movement starting to, well, move. Thing lately have escalated pretty quickly and he had to wonder if another war was going to break out. He had thought of approaching Elijah a couple of times about the subject of maybe not being so---violent but he doubted that would do him any good. Especially, with their recent history and him housing a human interest at his home now. Maybe he should just call him? Might be a lot easier instead of a face to face meeting. At least he wouldn’t get yelled out too badly, right? Erm, Hmm, he would have to think about how to do that but for the time being he would take care to avoid his friend until he could find the right words.
Stepping outside the temple and closing the large doors behind him he had taken one step down the stairs and ran right into the one person he was wanting to avoid. Startled, Kaveri looked straight up at Elijah with wide eyes. Oh dear, ”Ah! Elijah!” Putting a heart over his chest he took a step back to put space between them. ”You scared the crap out of me.”
Notes: I did it!
