Political and social Intrigue

I wish to propose a series of mission that work on the abilities of a characters ability to critically think there way or talk they're way out of a situation. In other words missions you can't fight your way through, otherwise you'll be met with failure. In many cases infiltration or even political debate in itself could be a mission. The primary idea would be that whoever the player is. Is forced to to think of non violent means to succeeding they're mission otherwise the mission would be made harder. The difficulty could reflect the public view or even net a character some jail time. Some that appropriately restricts the player temporarily if they fail(different from retreating or abandoning) a mission.
