Shinzu gorged himself on a mixture of sweet and salted popcorn as his senses took in the multitude of sights and sounds. “How splendid!” He chuckled to himself as the various colours and lights stimulated his eyes. Everything felt so carefully designed to draw in his attention. “I love how the strength machine is red. As if to appeal to our inner sense of animalistic rage.” For a moment, he even felt tempted to test the game out, until realising that he was in no mood for anything remotely physical.
“Fishing… No. Although it is interesting how the blue around the stall mimics water and conjures up a sense of calm and patience!” As opposed to playing any of the festival games, Shinzu appeared to be having far more fun analysing them and pondering over the design decisions. “Hm?” Eventually, Shinzu came across one stall in particular that seemed to catch his interest more than the others. “Memory game?” He smiled as the man behind the counter turned over all the cards to reveal them before gesturing to draw in the student’s focus.
“I see.” He confirmed before the man turned them face down and shuffled them. “OH!” He clapped excitedly as the cards were then spread out evenly in front of him. “Let’s see…” Shinzu chuckled as he lifted the first card up, the act of which causing the man to activate an hourglass timer. “Here and here.” Shinzu chuckled as he immediately got the first pair. “Over there and there.” Another pair was done. “Oh and not to forget you two.” By this point, the stall’s owner was beginning to look slightly nervous. “Say… I forgot to ask. Is there a prize if I manage to find all of the pairs?”
