Taiki River

TAIKI River,

this is gospel for the fallen ones

If there's one thing to say about Taiki, let it be that he's practical. When a mission is given to him he throws all emotions aside and does what is needed of him, no questions asked. He’d kill without a second thought; unless of course his family were the targets.. then he’d probably kill the one who assigned the mission.

While he seems like a good soldier, he has a hard time following proper orders. Taiki lives for his family and his Queen (the goddess). He'd go through hell and back to please either one of those two things. Taiki wants to be the greatest hunter there ever was yet lately his deceased sister has been on his mind, holding him back from the cliff he is headed towards.

Although many see him as quiet or shy, Taiki is far from that. Many rarely see him speak mostly because he doesn’t feel like they’re worth the effort to talk to. He gets quickly annoyed by those who are slower at taking in information than him and those who are heavy with their sarcasm as he doesn’t find jokes all that funny. Due to these things, he does his best to just lurk in conversations around him and doesn't talk much unless forced to for some reason; like someone asking him a direct question.

Taiki is fairly attractive although his semi-pale skin tone but he's very modest about his looks as well as the fact that doesn't really have an interest in women as of the current moment.

Standing at a tall 6'1'', Taiki stands taller than his siblings and parents. His height helps him win most stand offs but along with his height he is a well built. Most wouldn't know that though because he usually has baggy clothes on.. more with the modesty stuff. There aren't any massive guns to flex compared to the beefier Hunters but he's not anything to sniffle at. He can happily hold his own though he prefers the old western style standoffs with a pistol.

Taiki has two red eyes that are very well complimented by his long messy black hair that he's tied back with a red bandanna and when he's fighting, his eyes are said to glow with the blood spills.. He moves like wraith, silent and deadly on the battlefield but when in town he moves around rather lackadaisically. He does this to try and get people to underestimate him which works most of the times... well, the one or two times he was actually in a fight. 







Taiki knows next to nothing about fashion and doesn't really care for it either. He likes the colour red and black.. is usually spotted sporting some sort of red cape with loose-fitting black clothes beneath.

Taiki is the eldest River Sibling by four years and has been in the Hunter Business for a while thanks to it being the family trade. Taiki excels at his job and is far better at it then his younger siblings (and probably a bit more serious). Born 28 years ago, Taiki has been through more than your average 28 year old adult..

The eldest would only be the youngest child for 3 years yet his parents didn't stop there either. Another 3 years and they had a daughter. Taiki never really cared much for his younger brother or sister but they were still a part of his family therefore he made a pact with himself that he would always be there for them, through the thick and the thin. It wasn't long after Taiki made this pact that his youngest sister at the time passed away while in the bath.

By the age of 7 Taki had a second sister which he hoped dearly that the same fate didn't befall her.. he feared that his mother hated girls or something along those lines. Eventually he would come to the realization that his first sister was an air magi but at the time he didn't know better. It was around this time that he was placed into the Hunter’s Academy.

As the years went on he slowly pieced together what had happened in the bath yet never said anything to anyone about what could have actually happened. His mother had already bathed him and his brother probably hundreds of times, and now this once all of a sudden? Taiki didn't buy it but it didn't make a difference, there was nothing he could do about it except for take care of the family he had left. First things first though, he had to get through the school at the top of his class. He had to be the best. He ate, slept and dreamed about being the best (and quietest) hunter alive and made another vow that alongside protecting his family, he would do anything to please him.

When Taiki was roughly in the 7th grade, he took a great liking to the god of the hunters. His complete and utter fascination with the deity lead him to start praying before every day started. He felt that doing so would help him in his quest to help his family. He prayed that the god would be on his side during tests and in training.

Graduation day. Taiki had failed to be the best in his class but his skills and marks were nothing to be ashamed or to not notice. While he wished he could have done better, he was sure that his father was proud. His father, being a man of few words gave him a smile and a nod which were the only things Taiki needed to feel accomplished.

It was around the age of 22 that his vows were pushed to the limits, or so he thought. His younger brother had already gotten married... yet his worst fears came to light... his brother had married a Magi. He prayed every day for a month straight that his brother wouldn't be too hurt by the god and that he spare him. After the first month went by, his prayers were semi-answered and his brother had finally come to his senses and took care of his wife. Taiki then did everything to ensure his brother got through the pain of having to kill your own wife and for a little bit he thought the god would leave Enki be but he let down his guard too soon.

Enki was attacked by his own familiar, causing great damage to his throat. Fearing that he would be next he distanced himself from Enki but his feelings remained the same for him. Even after all these years he still wasn't about to just give up on his vow to protect his family. Taiki has gone through great lengths to always know what Enki was up to and where he was going just in case he wasn't back by when he should be back (like off on a mission).

Taiki has been in the Hunters association for roughly ten years and although he has been offered the position of officer several times, he has politely declined the offers.. mostly due to the fact that he hates interacting with people and would much rather be on the battlefield than in some office ordering others around.

Hunter's Step: Through practice and patience, you have learned to dampen the noise generated by your foot falls. At this level, your footsteps are fairly quiet, though a person in close proximity is still likely to hear you.

Firearm Starter: Can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with firearm weapons.
Examples: Pistol, Revolver, Shot Gun, Submachine Gun, Sniper Rifle, Flame Thrower, etc (Starter)
