It has been a long, tense day across the length and span of Ethea. Thousands of citizens of every race have gathered together to show their support for their side of the issue. The cacophonous swell of opposing voices fills the air as each side attempts to drown out the other with the sheer volume of their voices. While the day has passed with few incidents, tensions are high and the people are restless. Hours have passed since the polls first opened and the hour in which the results will be revealed. A loud, clear voice cuts through the noise like a knife, demanding the attention of all in attendance. “Ladies and Gentlemen, citizens of Ethea, if you would please direct your attention to the screen for just a few moments, the voting results have been compiled and we are ready to announce the conclusion. A hush falls over the gathered crowd and hundreds of individual faces turn to face the gigantic holographic display or towards the monitors by which those not in attendance have tuned to watch the historic event. 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00The hologram shifts from the image of a clock and displays the results. The law has been passed. In a split second's timing uproar follows. One side rejoices while the other laments; all raise their voices in either praise or disgust. DAGOSAn overjoyed man in his late thirties flings his arms in celebration, losing his grip on the camera he’d been using to record the event. The device flies straight and true as though guided by the hands of fate itself and strikes one of the opposing protesters. The young woman falls flat, bleeding from a head wound. Outrage follows and all semblance of order is lost. The overzealous are the first to react, flinging themselves over the concrete dividers that separate the two groups. Fists fly and hateful slurs are shouted as mob mentality takes hold. The fight quickly turns lethal as picket signs are used as clubs and other, deadlier weapons are drawn. FELICIOld men toss jeers and slurs at a group of young magi. One of the members finally has enough and pushes the human away from her with an anger that sparks into minor flames at her fingertips. The reaction of the men is to scream in horror. "She's trying to kill us!" would be the cries heard above all else as they attempt to escape their deaths, all but one who pulls a gun on the woman who had singed his shirt just moments before. From there all sides come in to support the ones they believe to have been the true victim. Hunters, police, representatives of the Runic University, and MLM members who had been stationed there in case of such a reaction. CAMLORNSmaller townships such as Camlorn are slower to descend into madness, but descend they do. Upon hearing of the situation in both the capital and Dagos, local military commanders give orders to suppress any potential riots by any means necessary. Unfortunately, these orders are interpreted as authorization to fire upon both sides and Camlorn follows the example given by the large cities. The scene is one that replays itself in horrifying detail across the land. Many watch in horror as the chaos erupts. Some attempt to flee while others merely watch in utter disbelief, though one thing is shockingly clear. The Second Magi Riot has begun.

I'm still fighting for peace
Me and my elastic heart [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"] The law had been passed. Kaveri wasn’t at all surprised by this turn of events even though it saddened the magi. He had been hoping the world would take a single step forward and not one backwards. He just hoped that this small change in the law wouldn’t lead to bigger events that he had faced in the past. But what had surprised him was the sudden riot that broke out far too quickly that separated him from his daughter in under a second. One moment he was standing next to her voicing his idea that they should depart from the area. The next, she was gone, both having been separated and swept away by the rush of the crowd. Standing in the mix, the priest could careless of what was happening around him. He had a much bigger concern at the moment. Cursing under his breath and a quick spin on his heels his eyes would search for the lost red head but alas he could see nothing. All he could see were a sea of people fighting among themselves. Some where armed with signs, their own fist, and others had actual weapons. ”Lilith! Shit! Where is she?” He had all ready lost his child once and he was damned if he was going to lose her again. As much as he wanted to find her he had to take care of himself too. Being maimed by others wouldn’t help him in the slightest in trying to find his daughter. Scoping the area one last time the magi took quick note of the forces that where entering the scenes. Hunters. This wasn’t good. A riot was a free ticket for anyone to do whatever they felt like without consequence. He was going to have to make himself scarce from the main fight and stick to the edge of it. It was going to be the only way for him to get out of his mess. He had no intention of fighting or harming anyone and for once his small stature was going to work in his favor. With everyone being much taller then him it made it easy for him to snake around and avoid most peoples gaze. This didn’t stop him from having to play the dodging game of bodies and thrown objects. He prayed to his Goddess that Lilith would be all right on her own until he could reunite with her. Ducking down behind a car that rocked with the force of someone’s body colliding into it he would rest his hand on his sheathed weapon. The cold steel was somewhat hidden by the sash on his waist and offered him some comfort with the knowledge he could take care of himself if something happened. ”I got to get out of this mess…” But getting out of it was going to be easier said then done with the amount of people running around like psychos. [googlefont="Marvel|Bubbler One"][nospaces] A Hurricane on the Rooftops Dee watched helplessly as the fight broke out. She was here as security, but there was no way in hell she was touching that. She struggled against the crowd, trying to make her way to the edge. She was magi positive, but she was also a hunter. The magi would not take kindly to her. And they would not wait for her explanation of being magi positive either. She wanted to keep her head attached thank you very much. That said, she couldn't help but worry about anyone involved. And then it got bigger and Dee's violet eyes widened, surveying the crowd. She wasn't going to be able to help the biggest fight, but maybe there was a small way she could help. She couldn't hear anything over this. She was bumped into by a couple of fighting elements and she grimaced. It wasn't anything painful, but if she didn't get out of this, it would be serious. And with the other hunters moving in, there was no guarantee of anything happening. [break][break] That's when she saw the guy huddling behind a car. She approached silently. She was able to normally, but the noise of the riot made it even simpler. [break][break] "Look, listen before you put that...ooh nice sword..." She shook her distracted head. [break][break] "Before you put that through me, know that I'm not an enemy. Neither of us can change anything in this. So why don't we try not unsheathing that sword and contributing to the violence?" She had no idea what the blonde had been planning, but hey she thought it was a good pre-emptive strike or something like that. And if he didn't like her? Well...he was on person right? She would have a prayer against him. Of course they had the elements but Dee was going to ignore that. [break][break] As she huddled behind the car though, something occurred to her. [break][break] "Oh god please don't be in Felici please don't be in Felici." Twas a mumble under her breath, almost inaudible. She didn't want Lily anywhere near this. Nope. Oh dear now she was worried. [break][break] "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." That was more audible. She was mostly letting out extra energy but damn she didn't want the redhead anywhere near a riot. There was no telling what could happen, and hell Dee couldn't help but worried. That was normal right? That wasn't weird? Dee had no idea but she was worried regardless. She looked around, seeing if there was anyone else who seemed afraid or not sure what to do. Luckily this car was a fairly large model. There was no fucking way she was going anywhere near this riot. If it came to her, she could handle that. She put one hand on her sword's handle, and her other one on her packet of paper. She brought some runes preprepared. She didn't like being caught off guard, hence why she was on edge and tapping her foot lightly. [break][break] She'd have thought with a sword, runes, and her quiver of arrows and her bow, she'd be less afraid. She wrinkled her nose. Why couldn't she have foreseen this?

The worst part of it all was that Edwin had been almost certain this was going to happen. A vote on magi rights? Like there was any chance that this wouldn't turn into blistering chaos. Whichever way the vote turned, all it was going to do was make people all manners of angry and then probably start fights. Humanity, magikind, whatever - at the core, everyone was just looking for someone to punch in the face at some point, and this was just a good excuse. But despite the risks, Edwin had really, really needed his coffee. So he'd decided while he drank his black-as-sin coffee (and yet still not as strong as the stuff Kelri had given him a while back), he'd also decided to vote. Honestly, he couldn't help but be surprised he bothered, but the line hadn't been particularly long when he finally decided to make a vote. Was it worth it? Who knew at this point. In any case, he'd only been a minute or two away from the booth when the countdown started, and he watched it ticking down towards the conclusion - 'The law has been passed.' A grim smirk passed Edwin's face - of course it had. This was going to make things a little harder for him, but in the long run criminals were still going to be criminals. He'd had that thought for about ten seconds when all hell broke loose. There'd been a scream, and Edwin turned his head to the side to watch something, a flicker of fire, a dark black shape and then everyone running around screaming like the world was about to end. Edwin couldn't help but stand there for a few seconds, holding his half-drunken takeaway coffee cup in a stupor. Sure he'd expected a riot to break out, but even he hadn't expected it to happen this quickly. There was really only one option - clutching his coffee, Edwin's rat instinct took over and he ran like hell, and he just kept running even as he ran out of breath, if only because god knows what would happen if one of these angry magi actually caught him... He wasn't quite sure how long he'd been running before he felt something suddenly slam into him - there was a vague image of someone else running that he half-saw a second before he felt himself bowled over and felt himself slam against a car. What little breath he had left rushed out of his body, replaced by pain shooting through his entire body. In a daze, Edwin barely managed to clamber onto the hood of the car, trying to pull himself upright - only to suddenly notice two people hiding behind the car. He took a few seconds to look at them with dull eyes, his brain still needing time to process what exactly had happened, before he addressed the two with a poignant "Bluh?" He felt it would be likely that he would survive the riots at this point, because he was more likely to die of embarrassment later. -- Tags: Kaveri Dali , Dehlia Notes: I always thought Edwin would unceremoniously crash into people's lives, but not quite like this.

Me and my elastic heart [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"] Peeking around the corner for a brief moment all that he could see was hordes of rushing people and violence. Screams and shouts echoed through the area. The whole situation brought back memories that caused the water magi’s stomach to twist in knots. Turning away he leaned against the car in order to get himself under control. He was going to have to get out of here, find Lilith, and get the hell out. Or at leas trust that someone helped her out of the mess…anything really. Damn’it. What was he going to do? A sudden voice caught his attention sharply and he looked at the red haired woman but made no motion to attack. In a instant he made the decision that she looked harmless and didn’t hold any hostility like the others. His hand held the hilt of the blade tightly just incase. A sigh left him as he nodded towards the car, ”Yeah, nice and sharp. But don’t worry I don’t plan on using it unless I have too.” He eyed her carefully but allowed her cover behind the car. He was still trying to think of a plan to get out of this mess but so far nothing came to mind. This was bad, very bad. Glancing at her for a moment he raised his brows in agreement. ”Fuck, is an understatement. I need to find my daughter and get her out of here. You hadn’t by chance seen a red haired pregnant woman have you?” No, probably not but it was worth a try. ”I lost her in th---” The car jerked so violently to life that Kaveri feared that a hunter might of located him or worse, one of their familiars. With his blade drawn and a quick twist of his body he was looking at a young man on the hood of the car. A side glance told him that the car roof was empty and they had not been noticed. Growling with some annoyance to getting the shit scared out of him and, well, this whole situation a single hand reached out and took Edwin by his sleeve. Unceremoniously, the water magi jerked the young man off the car and onto the pavement next to him. ”What are you doing? Don’t stick your butt up in the air like that! It might get shot!” Scolded the priest. Looking the man over briefly he could see that he was unharmed but now came the new problem…what where three people behind on car going to do? ”Sweet baby, Arithelia…” He muttered under his breath. ”Let me get out of here alive, please.” Turning towards both partners now, "Okay, suggestions on how to get out of here without dying?" They couldn't stay behind the car forever... [googlefont="Marvel|Bubbler One"][nospaces] A Hurricane on the Rooftops The magi had a sharp sword. But he seemed okay, honestly. Dehlia was dense, but she was generally a decent judge of character. She was fairly confident this magi would be okay to be around. Besides he said he wouldn't use it unless he had to. Dehlia was not planning on being violent, so she'd be safe around this guy at the very least. He agreed with her profanity too. And then he spoke about his daughter, and Dee's violet eyes widened very visibly. [break][break] "Redhead...pregnant...daughter?" The last word came out in a squeak, and then they were dealing with a guy who had basically run into the car. Dee put a hand to her forehead in a facepalm. [break][break] "Yes listen to the guy. Your butt already has a crack in it no need to make it any worse." Hey, in her defense she had a habit of going to humour in stressful situations! She heard the magi ask if she had any ideas about getting out safely and she opened and closed her mouth soundlessly. [break][break] "I have no ideas whatsoever except maybe making a distraction and running for it but I honestly don't think that would work. My ideas are quite generally crap. That aside, uhm...your daughter wouldn't happen to be named Lily would she?" Dee rubbed the back of her neck idly. Redhead who was pregnant was fairly defining already but she was going to make sure anyways. [break][break] "If she is, uhm...we're kind of worried about the same person in this." Awkward. In the middle of a magi riot was not the ideal place to make a good first impression on someone who might be your date's dad. Girlfriend? She didn't know if they were at that point yet. Maybe date was the better way to put it. Less uncertainty in exactly what the expression meant. Then she turned to the new arrival. [break][break] "Other than 'bluh' what have you got to say? Any ideas that are better than mine?" She sure as shit hoped he did. [break][break] "I have long distance weapons, I have a sword, I have runes. That's what I have to contribute to any plan. Just putting that out there." It was only fair to make sure they knew what she had on here. She was rapidly thinking of these two as a sort of team she was part of. She thought that was probably the correct response in this situation.

Well, things certainly escalated quickly.
Not even had he had a chance to get his bearings together before Edwin was roughly hauled over the car without even a chance to argue about the situation. He shook his head a little, trying to get his senses back together and as the other two conversed slowly started to get a sense of just what kind of trouble he'd managed to land in. Not only was he now sore all over, but he'd also gotten himself wrapped up in the affairs of two completely unrelated people, neither of which sounded like they were going to offer him any help or even any kind of distraction in continuing his general plan of running the hell away from all this and getting back to his apartment.
Edwin was quite prepared to tell them to go deal with their own goddamn problems, when out of the corner of his eye he realised that there was still chaos in the streets. Even he had to grudgingly admit if he hadn't been saved by these people, then he'd likely have been mowed down by the fleeing crowds or fried by a magi with a worse temper than his just for being in the wrong place in the wrong time. Though looking at the man, he suddenly realised to his surprised that he'd actually been saved by one - and even stranger, as he started to be teased by the other person (because of course someone would), the other person was a Hunter. "A magi and a hunter...working together? Not even that, seemingly knowing each other?" The thought alone was bizarre. For a few seconds Edwin remembered his own family within the Hunters - they'd have probably considered this some form of heresy, whatever the situation.
But that wasn't the point. Edwin considered hiding behind the car and letting these two go and do their thing, but that probably also would have led to him being found eventually. Much as he didn't want to get wrapped up in this, helping these two was his probably his only chance at getting out of this without major injuries, and pulled upon what pride he had left to try and assert himself, in the midst of what looked to be growing into a very poorly-timed domestic dispute. "Well, when you two have decided you've had enough awkwarding at each other, maybe we can figure out what to do?" he deadpanned, rubbing his temples. "As far as getting out of here, though, I'm not sure there's much to do besides running and hoping for the best, unless one of you can create a wall or something to give us a little bit of cover. Might be good to at least pick a direction to run in, though? I'd suggest the local library, if it hasn't been ransacked already. Unless you've got a better idea?" It wasn't much of an idea, but at least it was something.

Tension had already been thick in the air of Felici as magi desperate to see that the curfew did not come to pass piled into the city. As the timer counted down and the law inevitably went through, it wasn't going to take much to set off the violence. And set off it did; like throwing a match into a crate of dynamite the city practically exploded in utter chaos. One little incident was all it took to set the rest of the city alight with hostility. All over people were screaming- some panicked pleas while others were harsh roars of outrage. As the citizens dissolved into a writhing horde of angry bodies, other factions began to move into the fray.
Some truly intended to stop the violence; trying hard to keep the mayhem from escalating to catastrophic proportions. Others, however, merely dove in for their own selfish reasons. How could anyone keep track of what was being done in a sea full of carnage? In a situation like this, the bloodthirsty and vengeful could gleefully take their fill without gathering much notice. In the end it only added to the discord. The few innocent that actually tried escaping quickly found themselves swept up as well as the chaos spread throughout the city like ripples through a once still pond.
Towards the center of the fray is where the worst of the fighting sweeps across the embattled factions. Hunters worked solo or in groups of two or three as they sought to claim glory in the name of their patron. Magi called upon the gifts granted to them by their goddess to answer the threat presented before them. Even those unaffiliated with either faction fought with one another using whatever implements available to them.
Amid the fighting stood a group of MLM insurgents. The order to act had come down from their leadership to act should their people became endangered by the worthless human masses and they gladly set themselves to the task. Two of the three began weaving the air into a whirlwind of truly monstrous proportions while the other fed a torrent of flame to forming twister. The result was a miniature tornado that drew the closest unfortunates into a fiery demise.
As one, the magi pushed the burning pillar of white-hot debris into the opposing crowds, scattering those before them. The twister traveled through the humans as easily as a heated knife through butter straight in the direction many had begun to flee in. Kaveri sighed heavily in thought, this was going to take a miracle to get out of and he only hoped his daughter had received help out of this mess. Surely, someone was with her at least he was hoping. There would be no way for him to reach her from this point on as he didn’t even know the direction she went. Damnit to hell. But the biggest issue before him now was the massive amounts of murderous intent all around. He didn’t have to be a Zero to feel that and god help the Zeros around that could feel it. How was this mess going to be of any help to anyone? Didn‘t they learn from history? His attention was then diverted from his thoughts to, Dehlia was it, the sudden comment caught the water magi’s attention. It was like someone had just lit a fire under his well shaped rainbow colored ass. ”Yes and yes. That is my Lilith, wait, have you seen her? Do you kno---” Words fell silent as it didn’t take a rocket scientist to notice the sudden change in the wind. Looking upwards with a sudden dread. Only half heartily listening to the two human’s beside him. There was an even bigger problem about to happen. Fear coursed so strongly in the water magi that he quickly stood up and peered over their metal shield. ”No, no, no. Oh shit. No.” muttering under his breath he prayed the wind shift would mean something else and it did but not for what he was hoping for at all. In an instant there was a hellfire tornado spinning down to the earth with its intent on the opposing party.
To him, it seemed like the screams had gotten louder, the fight far more intense beyond the flaming twister. It didn’t take long for those who caught on fire to run in random directions. Many of them being engulfed and dying where they stood. While the tornado wasn’t overly huge it still looked to be a powerful force. There would be more then one Air magi to form this twister.
”Goddamn it, this isn’t the answer…” Smacking the hood of the car with a single hand he turned towards the two humans. Unable to find the words to speak to them he only shook his head. With the amount of people running like psychos there might not be a way out. Hunters where coming into the mix and as much as that terrified Kaveri he couldn’t just let innocents die like this for a stupid vote nor could he die himself for it. For a stupid law about his kind having to have a crewfew. Yes, it sucked. Yes, people where going to abuse the system but sense when had any of them every obeyed it in the first place?
Small bits of water formed out of nowhere as Kaveri drew the partials in around them. He wasn’t sure if it would be a enough to stop the flames but he had to do something. Even if that meant he would draw attention to themselves. No matter what he did he was going to have Humans hate him or Magi. There was no picking who was worth saving and who wasn’t. ”You should run.” Short, sweet and to the point. Plan making was no longer an option right now as it had been moments ago. Taking in as much water as he possibly could, the jelly sent it towards the path of the mini twister. Creating a thick wall of ice between it and the people it was rushing towards. It might not harm the fire but it would give people time to flee as well as create steam to give those cover that wanted out of the madness. Notes: Should I stay or should I go now? [googlefont="Marvel|Bubbler One"][nospaces] A Hurricane on the Rooftops Dehlia heard the guy's words about them being done awkwarding together and she just sort of shrugged. Awkwarding was one of the things she did best after all. People could deal. She wasn't going to change herself too much. Besides, she'd tried not to be awkward before and it just hadn't worked. He suggested a wall and looked at the magi briefly. [break][break] "I don't think I can make a wall." The library...oh dear god now she was picturing the library ransacked. Her bottom lip quivered slightly at the thought of all her wonderful books being subject to a terrible riot. [break][break] "Not the books..." It was whispered to herself mostly. The horror of that mental picture. But then she was met by a more horrific sight. [break][break] "Holy shit is that a tornado made of fire?" Her eyes widened. [break][break] "Great balls of fire..." It seemed rather appropriate to say, but it was also said in sort of an awed sort of tone of voice. She saw the magi guy bring out water. A water magi. They had the good fortune of being with a water magi. She mentally went through all the runes she had preprepared just in case something went down. Iz Slennus? Ice Pillar? That could work. Wait...Chatham! The magic seal! She heard the magi speak about how they should run. [break][break] "Wait your ice wall will keep it contained for a certain amount of time, but it will still be careening all over the place." It was a giant tornado of fire. That had to be magic, right? [break][break] "I have a magic seal. Buy me time I'll use my ink." The size of the rune didn't matter. She tried to remember whether stopping a burning tornado would burn her rune paper and settled on the fact she couldn't take the chance. She'd have to draw it on the ground...WAIT. She looked at the car and tested whether the bumper would come off. It was wiggly, but she didn't necessarily have time and the metal was more slippery. Dehlia went around and tested the car door. It must have been disturbed in the crash of the car and the riot! It was loose. She took out her sword and used it as leverage. [break][break] Using her sword like this hurt her inside a bit, but certain things were necessary in the face of danger. And more importantly, it worked. It didn't harm her sword much, and the car door came off. [break][break] She started writing the rune on the car door and started hurrying away as fast as she could with a car door in her hands. Fortunately car material was lighter and the car wasn't an older model or Dee knew she would've been screwed. Let's see, ten points priority star. Get away from the tornado hopefully. She hadn't studied so hard for nothing.

In all honesty, Edwin wasn't really sure he should have bothered speaking at all. The scope of the riots was beyond anything he could truly follow. True, he'd technically been in the city amidst the First Magi Riot, but that had all essentially been background noise for him, in a way. This on the other hand was becoming rapidly far too real. The strange thing was, all that Edwin could really think of was just how powerless he was to do literally anything. No matter his smarts, they meant nothing in the face of such raw chaos, such power. "Someday, there'll be a day when that changes." Edwin swore to himself. "If I survive this madness at least..."The flaming tornado scared him certainly, but more than anything it annoyed him. Edwin felt under his jacket, running a finger along the grip of his handgun, though he knew it wasn't of any real use. Even if he could have gotten a shot off at one of the magi starting it by now, it wouldn't stop the tornado from wreaking havoc, and would only draw attention that would likely get him set on fire. As frustrated as he was by his own uselessness, there really wasn't any real thing he could do but run. But run where? If he ran he'd just as likely be crushed in the midst of the crowds as destroyed by the tornado. There'd be nowhere he could run but with the crowd, which could end up getting him to either his home or out in the middle of the woodlands for all he knew, if they didn't end up being chased back by angry magi right into the midst of the fire. All this for coffee. What was stranger is that he still didn't quite regret it - it had been pretty good coffee. As he considered whether or not to just make a break for it - the magi and the hunter would easily do quite well on their own - a loud sound caused him to hesitate and turn his head. The hunter had apparently ripped off a car door - what on earth was she thinking? Perhaps it was the boy's curiosity, perhaps it was the feeling of not wanting to be crushed to death in the fleeing crowds, but in either case he just ended up peering over the car, just to see what happened. -- Tags: Kaveri Dali , Dehlia Notes: 399 words

The burning pillar of wind and flame would tear a path of destruction through the streets, flinging cars and people alike into buildings or simple rendering them down into piles of ash. Screams that chilled the blood would resound through the streets like the cries of the damned and the scenery became a fiery hellscape. The sickly-sweet stench of cooking flesh would fill the nostrils of anyone present.
When the wall of ice appeared, the tornado would meet it with a screech as the opposing forces battled one another for dominance. Billowing clouds of steam rose from the wall, weakening the intensity of the fire and covering everyone in a concealing mist. Shots zipped wildly into the gloom while hunters desperate to claim a kill sought to hit something. A muffled cry would occasionally rise from the mist when a lucky shot met with some unsuspecting target, but these would be few and far between; the protective screen would serve its intended purpose admirably.
In the relative calm, Dehlia would indeed pry the car door from its hinges, but at a cost. A hairline fracture in her weapon—a one in a million flaw—would see her sword snapped in the middle, rendering it down to half its original length. Despite this, the door was now free for the rune to be written and carried to whatever destination the woman had in mind.
And, at the rate the wall of ice was melting, it would be preferable for her to decide sooner rather than later.

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]You did not break me I'm still fighting for peace Me and my elastic heart [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"] Holy shit was that a tornado made from fire? A part of Kaveri just wanted to regard the woman with a look of disbelief and it took everything he had to not do that. It also took everything he had to keep a snaky come back at bay. He had things to do here and being a sassy priest wasn’t one of those right now. ”For a short amount of time, yes. As long as I have water somewhere in the area I can keep rebuilding the wall, kinda.” Kinda mostly because it took a lot to keep repairing a wall after its been torn down. Furthermore, he really didn’t think there would be much water left after it evaporated, well maybe not considering steam did have water within it. So maybe he wouldn’t be screwed in the magical department. Buying time, sure he could do that and he would do his best to keep the wall going for as long as he could. Eventually, he would have to stop with everyone suddenly shooting blindly into the barely visible area now. ”You ready yet? Cause I am starting to get a tad concerned with all the gun fire happening!” They needed to handle the tornado and get out of here before one of them got shot or seriously injured. Turning his attention to Dee, he watched what she was doing with a raised brow. He had very limited knowledge about runes but he assumed it was something she was currently working on. Turning his head towards the young man, he wondered what was going on in his head. ”You okay there?” He would ask before returning to the task at hand to keep the wall up until Dee was finished. He just hoped he could keep it up until then. The screams near by didn’t help his all ready twitching nerves. Being shot was not high on his list at all. If only this tornado would go away so they could get the hell out of dodge. Notes: Sorry this took FOREVER, my muse has been crappy and Ive been busy OTL. Hope this works, let me know if I need to add or change anything! ulla [newclass=.we1]background-image:url(http://i.imgur.com/pwAXUvP.png);height:380px;width:400px;padding-top:120px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass][newclass=.avatar]background-color:#363636;width:50%;padding:10px;opacity:.9;transition:1s;border:#666 1px solid;padding-top:30px;padding-bottom:30px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.lost1]font-size:12px;font-family:Alegreya Sans SC;color:#fff;letter-spacing:2px;padding:10px;background-color:#363636;opacity:.9;border:#666 1px solid;width:50%;transition:1s;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lost1]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .avatar]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.rise]padding-top:25px;height:475px;width:400px;background-color:#272727;opacity:.8;margin-top:200px;transition:2s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .rise]margin-top:-360px;transition:1.5s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1]width:80%;padding:10px;background-color:#1a1a1a;border:#444 1px solid;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.mouths1]color:#eee;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;height:370px;overflow:auto;padding:5px;[/newclass][newclass=.lying1]width:80%;padding:3px;background-color:#1a1a1a;color:#777;font-size:10px;text-align:left;border:#444 1px solid;margin-top:10px;padding-left:10px;padding-right:10px;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .dying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar]width:7px;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-track-piece]background:#444;border-left:3px solid #1a1a1a;border-right:3px solid #1a1a1a;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#000;border:#444 1px solid;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1 b]color:#508ACC[/newclass][googlefont=Alegreya Sans SC]

[googlefont="Marvel|Bubbler One"][nospaces] A Hurricane on the Rooftops Shit, why did it have to be a tornado of fire? Tornadoes had unexpected trajectories, didn't they? She would've been tempted to throw the door at it, but it was on a fucking car door. This was not turning out like I was super hoping. She heard the magi speak and ask if she was doing okay, and Dehlia rolled her eyes. [break][break] "Sure I'm fine and dandy I just have a giant fiery inferno of a tornado barreling towards me with my only defense an unthrowable car door. Why wouldn't I be alright???" Dehlia ended with her gritting her teeth and trying to figure out where the tornado would go next. [break][break] She raced to the wall. It was melting though, so she didn't go right next to it of course. She was several feet away from the part of the wall that was melting due to the tornado. She placed the car door there and ran, hoping that she'd been fast enough. And accurate enough. Dehlia really hoped it was. If it didn't work though, she'd have to figure out where to write the same rune. It was probably their best chance of getting out of this in one piece. And the redhead very much wanted to get out of this alive and in one piece. The fact was very important to her. She went and stuck herself nearby the magi. He had a sword, and she didn't anymore now that she'd used it as a lever. That would cost her a new sword, but hey small price for staying alive right? Hopefully she DID indeed stay alive. [break][break] That would be a giant bonus.

The situation was escalating far beyond anyone's control. It would have been what Edwin would have come to expect of angry magi finally let loose to go crazy, except for the fact that there was a giant goddamn tornado of fire that Edwin was pretty sure was evaporating even the nearby clouds.
Edwin wasn't quite sure if he was paralysed from fear or indecisiveness, but it didn't seem to matter since he'd well and truly made his choice now. Until there was a clear line to run and maybe not get crushed, shot or vaporised, he seemed to have thrown his lot in with the two people who actually stood a chance of doing...well, something about any of this. All he did at this point was yelp at the loud noises and shrink down even more behind the car. The magi's words - which may or may not have been aimed at him - didn't really help matters much. "Do I look all...oh, just...you're not listening anyway, are you?" To be fair, given a choice between the magi listening or maintaining a wall which was the only thing between them and certain death, he'd have preferred the latter.
Edwin peered over just enough to see the Hunter run towards the wall - carrying the car door she'd ripped off to the wall of ice being maintained by the magi. Either the two had some form of plan, or else she was completely insane. What a perfectly dandy way to die. For just a moment, he wondered if his father had ever been part of something quite this chaotic - if he survived this, he'd at least have a bit more understanding for what exactly Hunters went through. No wonder people were afraid of the magi, if they could control this much terrifying power. Yet a magi was...well not exactly helping him directly but at the very least tolerating his presence. This was why he preferred loneliness - he just couldn't understand people.
A wave of heat hit Edwin and he was brought back to reality, the Hunter running back towards them having done apparently...something. He had no idea what, though likely if anything was going to happen it would probably be within the next few seconds.-- Tags: Kaveri Dali , Dehlia Notes: 376 words. Another Pass action.
