Personality overall
Typically Lucya is a sweetheart. Fun, adventurous, outgoing. But the sunny, cheerful Lucya can flip on a dime; one moment, she's giggling at your outrageous, so-horrible-it's-good pun, the next she's raging about humans, thanks to the soundbyte just played on T.V. She jumps at the chance to fight and is in some scuffle or another almost on the daily.
Insults come naturally to her, and she's got a quick, sharp tongue. If she doesn't like you, or the way you dress, or the way you smell, you're gonna hear about it. Lucya is just as fiery as her magic, hot-tempered and lacking tact.
She isn't without friends, however. Most magi she's amicable towards, and will easily befriend. Water-types are a bit harder, in her book, but no unheard of. If you're a human, though, it will take a lot to befriend this magi. And if you're a cyborg? Don't even try.
All the racism flung her way is sent back two-fold, though oftentimes with her fists. While quick to anger and lacking tact, Lucya isn't stupid. She's had her brushes with the law and she's prefer to stay out of those disgusting, filth-ridden jail cells, thanks. Besides, magi that get locked up often disappear, and she's not taking that risk.
Lucya, however, is loyal to a fault. If you earn her trust, you're stuck with this fox for life. It would take a lot to truly betray her trust, and ultimately she's very forgiving.
Surprisingly, she does have a soft, quiet side: as bold and brash as she can be, Lucya loves reading. She'll read anything, history, fantasy, novels and novellas alike, magazines both scientific in nature and gossip rags. Lucya tends to stray away from newspapers, however; they aren't intriguing or have one horrible incident after another. And sometimes the reporting is just downright false.

[PTab=APPEARANCE]
And I'm just a heartbreaker
appearance
Lucya is taller than most, standing around 5'8". She's lean, and dappled with scars, most notably on her fists and forearms. She has some muscular definition, but nothing too outrageous; while packing a punch, she definitely does not have washboard abs.
Her hair is wild, long and black, and usually mussed. Sometime she'll wear it up, but for the most part wears it down or pulled to the side.
She is undeniably magi. While lacking any extra appendages, she has the appearance of a fox; her eyes are a warm amber that almost seem to glow, there are markings on her face that resemble whiskers, and fluffy, fox-like ears almost sprout from her hair. Lucya, as luck would have it, has also been bestowed with "kitsune-gao", or fox-face. Angular, high features are considered beautiful by some, mysterious by others, and still others would say sinister or eerie
Closer inspection would reveal more noteworthy magi traits. At a quick glance, they can be easily missed. Lucya has "fangs"; that is to say, elongated canines, coming to a small but sharp point. Her nails are also elongated, and much stronger that an average human's, coming to a small, sharp point as well. (Yes, Lucya trims her toenails on the regular -- having sharp nails either ruins your shoes, or creates an uncomfortable situation. Mostly the former.)
Lucya can hide her ears in the wild mane of her hair; she's done it before. She can also hide the markings on her cheeks with makeup. But she cannot hide her eyes. Contacts don't work; they either annoy her eyes so to the point of watering, or they're unable to mask the unnatural glow.
Fashion
Very casual fashion sense. She's all about wearing hoodies with t-shirts or tank tops, preferring bright graphics or bold colors. Jeans and shorts complete her look, with a solid pair of sneakers for running. Sometimes she'll go barefoot, but not often, and never in city areas.
Red is very much a staple in her wardrobe.
She'll wear bracelets stacked on one another occasionally, usually made of leather or rubber, but she doesn't wear any other accessories. Her fists simply get too hot, and she's ruined more than one bracelet before.

biography
Cindy and Aurthur, very much in love, were a simple couple with simple, idealistic goals: raise a family, and be happy. When Lucya came into their life, they felt very much blessed. It was a happy, genial family that looked to be on the verge of familial bliss.
At least, as happy as a family unit can be when rounded up and placed in facilities similar to concentration camps. Cindy was too pregnant at the time to resist, and Aurthur would not risk his wife's nor his unborn child's life to stop them. It wasn't so bad in the first stages; at first the Roths had a (small) home to themselves. Lucya was born in the relocation center, and was growing, healthy and strong, but racial tensions were still rising. Conditions rapidly deteriorated, and Roths did not think about having any other children.
Still, they tried to make life happen. They worked long, hard hours, keeping a happy face for their daughter. They ultimately tried to be a family; Cindy had her hopes for the humans, simply thinking them 'misguided', while Aurthur was more realistic. Neither hated humans, but became wary around them, muted and attempting to make themselves invisible.
It was hard. Cindy, a gifted air magi, was able to control lightning; she was forced alongside Aurthur and hundreds of other magi to use their magic for manufacturing. As Lucya grew, she watched her parents labor until she, too, was forced to labor alongside them, heating metal plates and bending them for hours on end.
She would often fight with other magi, taking out her frustrations on her fellow 'center'-mates. Never did she hate them, nor them her; venting was a part of life that most certainly couldn't be taken out on any guards. Severe punishments would always follow in-fighting, and a strong dosing of downer.
Lucya grew to hate humans and cyborgs. The tensions that surrounded the Roths would grow until they burst at 'home' (now a small room inside a cramped housing complex), Lucya's parents still defending the 'misguided' actions of the humans.
The Roths continued, tense, resentful, and continually exhausted, until the riots began. It didn't take much convincing on Lucya's part for everyone to escape. A tense as it was for the family living in the Relocation Center, it was worse living on the run. Starving and weak, it was only a matter of time before the Roths were caught.
Cindy and Aurthur gave everything to save Lucya that night. They gave their very lives protecting their daughter's, against a small band of hunters looking for a kill. Cybernetically enhanced hunters, cyborgs, surrounded Aurthur and Cynthia, delighting in their torture until they weren't; left for dead, they searched for Lucya.
As luck would have it, Lucya ran right into a band of Magi that had assisted in the breakout of their "center". They were powerful magi, and assisted in Lucya's escape. Lucya joined up with them for a few tense months as laws were re-examined, and then parted ways when they reached Haven.
Lucya spent quite a few years in Haven, doing odd jobs here and there. She never held a permanent residence, but couch-hopped here and there. Her longest stint was a six-month stay as a roommate, ending when she burned her roommate's favorite pair of jeans on accident.
In Haven, Lucya learned to read properly, only being taught the basic and bare minimum while being held in the 'relocation center'. She grew fond of books and libraries, spending a lot of her free time in such places.
Growing restless, she moved on, wandering from small town to town until ending up in Dagos. Tensions are still high, racism is rampant, but Lucya has slowly started to carve out a life for herself. She owns a small apartment, now, with a less-than-friendly landlord. 'Don't burn the place down, or burn anything for that matter, or you're done. Ya hear?' He isn't so bad, less racist than others.
She's also found work with a small bookstore owner, a friendly lady who sells new and used. It's a dying, near-dead medium, but Lucya loves her work. There's something about the weight and feel of a book that you just can't get digitally. She's read nearly every book in the store already, and hardly mans the register; no one comes in much, anyway. Lucy is paid the bare minimum, but doesn't mind. It's better than nothing.

[PTab=SKILLS]
and I won't get a take in
Default Skills
Heat: The ability to cause at least one appendage of your body to warm up at a time (arm, leg, etc). Your skin can get to the point of burning someone upon contact if you wish or remain at a comforting warmth. Judging your own character's level of experience and practice, they may be able to heat up their entire body at once.
Flame I: Just as most Magi Magic, the flames must already exist. So be prepared to carry around matches and lighters with you. You are able to grow fire from your immediate person to double your arms length.
Unarmed Combat I (Starter): You know the basics and can hold your own in a street fight.
The type of martial art or fighting style is up to you.
We trust you to be realistic for what you can accomplish and not accomplish at being a general level one in unarmed combat.
