Personality overall
Althea is someone who wants to help, and wants to be kind to everyone - if they are a magi, magi child, or an animal. She doesn't like humans, especially not hunters, and will not hesitate to hide if she thinks hunters are around. Althea is a bit cowardly in this aspect, but when you realise why (years of torture) you will understand. Her aim is to bring Her Goddess's warm embrace back to the magi peoples. She knows that if enough people realize that Arithelia is all that is wondrous and kind in the world, that they will understand they are gifts of the goddess. The magi people deserve to know and comprehend the love that the goddess has for her children, and her children need to share that love with not only each other but the goddess in return.
Althea is extremely shy. She isn't good with new people, so even if she likes children and listening, she has a hard time bringing herself to meet new people. The tiny magi will likely hide behind her campanion and not meet the new person's eyes. She also isnt liable to say much until she knows you are a "safe" person to talk around. Getting to know her is hard, if you aren't a client.
After all, new people are scary and will be so energetic, at least that has been her experience. Speaking of scary things, Althea is easily frightened, be it loud noises, unexpected turns or twists, or even if you have a knife or a gun. She often can run into things, get frightened, and apologize for her behavior, before running away.
Althea has a tendency to be selfish with her things. She has her set of things and they are hers. No one should take them from her, let you get a sad staring cat following you around. She is the same way about people. Having lost so many she is selfish int hat she hordes her things safely. Away from others, and without harm.
If you come to her for Arithelia's divine blessings of healing, Althea will not hesitate to help you. She won't ask too many questions and will often over-exert herself in order to make sure you are okay. She spent too many years in the camps, that she refuses to let any more magi die on her watch. On that note Althea is a wonderful listener and often times referred to as the therapist of Haven. Her abilities allow her a chance to help people and she uses them to her fullest extent.
Althea keeps her past secret for a reason and will shut down or change the subject if you bring it up. In that way she is extremely secretive. She doesn't like it when people pry and much prefers to help others rather than be helped. Besides, in her brain there is no helping her. What is done is done, and she rather not bring up her past because it causes her pain.
Althea realizes that she has begun to grow older. She is much more willing to sit, and think for a while, than get up and run like she used to. Back before the camp, Althea was a busy person. She spent the majority of her time "doing" things. Now that she has become older, she is much more likely to sit, and take a nap at the temple than over exert herself for the sake of being busy.With that being said, she is more than willing to help anyone who needs it. Stop by the temple and have some herbal tea with Althea, she will help, and relax you as best as she can. Just think of her like that one friend's mom who isn't your mom you want to talk to and can trust.

Althea has long curly hair that can be considered either pink, or very white /blonde in certain lightings. In fact, her age is actually starting to show in her hair. The parts that could be considered white, are turning into a silver gray showcasing the fact that the magi is older than most. Her hair goes down to the base of her back and is quite fluffy and soft. She has large amber eyes that are one of her magi traits and are covered by her bangs. These eyes are accompanied by wrinkles around them, another indicator of her age. They were once laugh lines, but now are indicators of her age and life lessons. Althea has a small nose that is almost pointed. She also has thin eyebrows that are hidden by her bangs.
The tiny zero magi stands at a whopping 4'9. She is quite tiny, and is not all that pleased about it. She has been told though, that her height has made her more approachable by children, so she enjoys that aspect of it. She isn't so thrilled about all the short magi comments or the numerous times people try to touch her based on this. Given her height it can be said that her frame is quite petite and well -- tiny. As she has gotten older, her back has begun to hunch over, giving her a slightly rounded appearance.
Althea is someone who shuffles. She doesn't quite run, and she doesn't quite walk, but she mostly shuffles along. She also doesn't look up from the ground very much when she is shuffling along. This often gives the appearance of someone who is clumsy based on the fact she tends to run into people, animals, and trees.One of the reasons that she shuffles is that her ones have begun to hurt and ache. Especially her back. There exists a phantom pain, and she can often be seen rubbing the affected areas.
On Althea's back are a horde of scars from the years of abuse in the relocation camps. These are much more prevalent on her body now that her skin has started to thin, and her blood vessels are much more easily seen. On her right wrist is the her barcode. It has become a daily reminder not to trust any humans or hunters, and she loathes it's presence. She keeps this number, #5102141, on her to remind herself of the pain she went through and her hatred of those that tore her family apart.
Althea's most noticeable Magi traits are the large pink cat ears that pop out of the top of her head. These are fully functional ears. The next noticeable Magi trait are her eyes. These naturally amber eyes have a black slit in them reminiscent of a cat's eyes. Althea also has a fluffy pink tail that she keeps under her clothes most of the time. Althea's finger nails are also as sharp as a cat's claw's and she grows them as such.

Fashion
Althea dresses cutely. She loves frilly things and will wear triple skirts if she thinks it is cute. She also will nine times out of ten wear things with long sleeves. She wears them for a reason but one of them bring that she can just cuddle up in them. it really is quite adorable. As she has grown older, Althea has developed a habit of walking with a walking stick. She finds it is easier on the bones when she uses one, though she still stands by the idea it is a "focus" for her powers. She is quite adament about it.

biography
When Althea was born it was a time of peace, of prosperity and it was a time of connection between the races in order to advance technologically in the world. The zero magi was born on a sweet summer day, June 20th 2441, that would echo her personality as she grew into a woman. As a young girl, the zero magi was always focused on helping people, of all races, if they needed it. Her parents taught her that her skills should be utilized and she was special. It was rare that magi had children, even in this time of peace and Althea was a gem in the eyes of her parents. She was loved, and in kind learned to love all of those around her-especially the goddess who made it all possible.
The magi spent her adolescent years in bliss, she was able to live in a world that didn't care if you were a magi, and her skills proved useful to those around her. When she entered into college, as the times were before racial tensions had started Althea wanted to put her powers to use. She successfully completed her doctorate in Psychiatry. As a zero magi Althea had developed a very specific skill set centered around healing, both physical and emotional. By going down this route, the magi would be able to best serve those around her.
Along the way Althea fell in love and became married to Byron Santos, a fellow Zero magi who worked as a surgeon.They had met while in the library studying for their doctorates. Marrying by the time, during the spring when the flowers would bloom in the year of 2473, she was 32, and him 34, the pair was on their way to a happy life. The two had bonded over their want to help people, and how thier unique skill set would allow them to do as such. Within the next two years after marriage, the two were blessed with two children, Estelle and Darcy. Althea cherished her family and especially her children. They were everything to her. Althea would be blessed with 72 years with her daughter and son, living in harmony with the world.
When she and her kind were forced to be barcoded they volunteered. #5102141. The family wanted no trouble from humans and only wanted to live in harmony with them. Then everything changed with it appeared that a zero magi assassinated a senator. Racial tensions started rising and before Althea knew it, she and her family were shuffled into camps that echoed concentration camps of history long past. The now Althea tried to keep her family together, but they were separated. Her parents were killed in front of her eyes, deemed too old to survive. Her sister was taken away to an unknown camp. Her children shipped off to a camp outside Dagos, and her and her husband to a camp outside Felici.
Life in the camps was hard. She was not allowed to be near her husband, and he was put to work at the hunter's will torturing other magi, harvesting their bones. It seemed the hunters had a need for magi bones from living magi. At the beginning she rebelled. She would stand up for those who were hurt, heal all who wanted it. The zero magi did what she did best, helped, in any way she could. She did this for a good few years, five, six at the most, until it caught up with her.
They brought Estelle. In front of her eyes, Althea watched her daughter whipped, flogged, and beaten. Her daughter reassured her mother that she could take it, she could take anything, as their family was together. Then the hunters had a cruel idea, why not make Byron harvest Estelle's limbs? The cat magi was chained to the wall and forced to watch, hear, and experience the screams as her daughters left arm and right leg were taken. When Estelle screamed too loudly it annoyed the hunter in charge. For revenge they took her tongue. When Byron refused to do anymore, Althea would never forget the look the hunter gave. A smile of pure joy and disgust at the same time. Byron was killed right in front of her, and her daughter was dragged off, never to be seen by her mother again.
Althea tried to find her daughter but never did. The message was clear. If she didn't cooperate and stop her business, her family would be killed in front of her while she was forced to watch. The zero magi was broken by now. She was nothing more than a shell, and she wouldn't be of use to the hunters anymore. They left her alone for a few years, not counting the weekly torture sessions. If she even looked at a hunter or a human the wrong way Althea was sure to be beaten. Because she seemed to heal so quickly, the hunters took extra pride in hurting their little "kitten". It must have been fun to them.
By some struck of fate, the hunters decided to transfer Darcy to Althea's camp. The Darcy she had lost all those years ago was not the darcy she met now. This darcy was missing an eye, and was a harsh voice for the breakouts. She could only watch as he channeled his anger into the mass escape. When he begged her to go with him, Althea refused. It wasn't that she didn't want to, but she feared for his life, what would they do to her baby boy if she helped other's escape. So Althea hid. She hid from her family and hated every second of it.
The only thing that got her through these troubled times was the worship of her goddess. She knew if she had enough faith her goddess would come to her and save them. Her goddess could do miracles, and would bring them their justice. Althea would never lose faith in who her goddess was or her capabilities.
And so Darcy organized his escape and she waited, knowing that no news was good news. She hasn't given up hope that her children are surviving, but she doesn't know where they are. She looked after the camps were made illegal. Oh did she look. Althea spent months looking for her children. Somehow they seemed to have vanished. She couldn't find them and she was forced to recognize that Estelle and Darcy might not be living anymore.
By the time the now 144-year-old met with this conclusion, she stumbled upon an old friend from the camps in the wilderness of the plains. The two traveled to a safe place for magi, away from the humans, and away from the hunters. Unfortunately along the way the hunters caught up with them Althea managed to escape, but her friend was not so lucky. She was left to wander the woods for another two years before she would find safe haven.
Haven. A magi only sanctuary, blessed by her goddess. Althea was extremely grateful to her goddess and has kept up the worship in the small town that has now grown into a large butiling city. She quickly tended to the goddesses grand temple and has spent the majority of the past eight in the temple. Althea has hid her past the best she could but... she couldn't stop helping people. It soon became known that Althea was an exceptional healer, and was willing to listen.
She now has the official title of priestess of Arithelia, and unofficially she is known as one of the therapists of Haven, able to even get rid of painful memories that it's residents have. Althea takes this duty very seriously. If she can ease her patient's pain it can be something that she can't do for herself. Althea will continue to do this, and keep an ear out for her children. If they will ever make it to Haven, she will know.
Over the years that Althea has endured, she has grown to be now known as someone who people can trust. She is very relaxing and gives off an easy going feeling when you come to the temple for her services. Althea has made it so The Grand Temple always has fresh flowers as well as a serenity garden, and rooms for each of the elements. A room with a natural waterfall and hot springs, a sauna fueled by an eternal fire that she and the other devout maintain, and a room designed so you are in the middle of a windy day, with natural air vents from the outside. There are rooms for meditation and relaxation, and above all else, Althea makes sure that there are rooms for worshipping the goddess. Althea is preparing the temple so her goddess can come to live there, relax, and rejuvenate herself. This is the ulterior motive she has, she wants to not only restore the faith of the magi people, but also restore her goddess to her natural form, a form that should have been hers all along. For all magi, and hopefully one day the goddess, the Grand Temple is a place of healing and gratefulness for the gifts they have been given.
She has made it her home.

Default Skills
Healer I: A person is able to heal their own minor wounds in a matter of a blink of an eye. Minor wounds consist of shallow flesh wounds. If the wound is upon themselves, it does not take much energy. However if they are healing another, the task wears on them.
Sympathy I: Allows an individual to effect one other person or animal's current emotions and pain to exactly what the user is feeling at the moment. This is triggered through touch at this stage. Note: you cannot sense what another is feeling, you can only manipulate.
Empathy I: Grants the user the ability to sense emotions and physical pain of one other person or animal through touching them. At this stage, the emotion or pain that you sense in another will then become your own. This is accomplished through touch.
Purchased abilities
Empathy II: (Upgrade of Empathy I) Touch aka contact with the other person involved is not necessary anymore though you do need to have visual of them. Although the emotions and pain you sense still effect your own, you can now sense a max of five people at once. Though I'd be wise in what certain circumstances you do so in, especially when pain is involved...
Healer II: (Upgrade of Healer I) A person is able to heal sprains, non-life-threatening flesh wounds, pulled muscles, and lessen sickly symptoms and even cure minor bugs (such as the cold and strep throat) for themselves as well as others. These do not take mere seconds to perform. Bump up the time allotment to at least a few solid minutes. Just as before, to do this for another takes energy.
Healing III: (Upgrade of Healer II) A person is able to heal torn muscles, broken bones, life threatening wounds, and over the time span of years can even completely heal someone of severe diseases. In ancient texts Zeroes have been told to have even healed disabilities such as blindness and paralysis but this has not been heard of in modern history. Be sure to pace yourself so you don't black out or possibly go into a coma.
Illusion I: Able to create minor illusions to manipulate one person's perception. At this stage you can only create illusions that manipulate your own physical appearance. And yes, the category of minor illusions includes being able to hide the non-human physical traits your magi may have. However, these do not effect a camera's point of view or the one that may be watching those monitors.
Memory Hole I: Requires touch. You are capable of erasing specific memories relating to a single factor (yourself, an event, coffee, etc). The factor has to have occurred within the last hour. This short term memory is forgotten however, if something triggers a remembrance it can be recalled through a déjà vu-like feeling.
Memory Recall: Your skill in sifting through people's memories have granted you the ability to bring back buried memories long forgotten. Even if it was affected by a Zero Magi's Memory Hole or Memory Change, you can dig these original memories back again.
Memory Change: (Requires Illusion and Memory Hole) Combining your illusory abilities with your control over the mind, Rather than Forgetting specific moments, you can now manipulate these memories into something different. However you should make sure that these new memories are believable. If the subject doesn't believe their own memories the original ones may return.
