Emergency reports have filtered in from Strun; a large and horrifying Spirit has burst out from the Wutende Frau Mountains, believed to have come from the bowels of the stone itself in a blaze of molten rock and fire. As of yet the Spirit has not ventured out from the large wound it has made within the mountain. However the people of Strun are terrified that this lull in action will not last for long, and that the Spirit will carve a bloody and charred path through the countryside if not stopped. This is all anyone knows:
1) This Spirit is a massive thing that appears to be made from the essence of lava and fire itself (reference). Though it has not done anything inherently hostile yet, its immense power is obvious due to its entrance from the mountain.
2) The heat due to this creature are intense, having reduced some rock of the mountain into molten lava with what appears to be relative ease, damaging some of the wildlife on the side and at the base of the mountain.
3) Why it appeared, or why it was within the mountain, is unknown.

The Strun populace is fraught with worry over the potential threat this Spirit could cause. They are hiring any and all able bodies (magi, cyborg, or human) to go out and destroy the beast as soon as humanly possible before anything dire should happen.

The risk here comes with facing the Spirit. It is a huge thing and immensely powerful; powerful enough and hot enough to tunnel out of the side of a mountain by reducing the stone to molten slag. Anyone who comes to this battle unprepared could easily find themselves in a similar state: melted into a useless pile. This is a very dangerous mission, and any character getting involved should be prepared to fight for their lives.

This may, potentially, not need to be a combat mission as the reason for the Spirit's appearance is still unknown and as further mystery, it has not yet attacked any mortal settlement.
