Personality overall
Wolfe is not the type to pull punches, in either his actions or words. He is an incredibly straightforward man, with a penchant for speaking exactly what comes into his head, regardless of how others might react. However, this feature is tempered somewhat by a tendency not to speak much at all in the first place. Despite his generally blunt nature, he is more often than not a man of few words, tending only to speak just as much as necessary, and no more. He has been known to become flustered in particular circumstances, though, to the point where he has difficulties articulating at all.
With a largely cool demeanor, and body language that often tends toward the minimal (lacking facial features certainly doesn't help in this department), Wolfe can be a difficult one to read. Overall he is quite unexpressive, and comes across as very deadpan most of the time, to the point where one might mistake him for an android lacking emotional simulation. Coupled with his usual reticence, it can be difficult for him to pass as interesting or entertaining company, at times. Contrary to popular belief, though, he does at least have a sense of humor, but it is most often very dry and easy to miss.
Although as of yet he has never been officially diagnosed, Wolfe displays several symptoms of PTSD. Episodes of paranoia and anxiety are not uncommon, and certain familiar conditions (such as sights or sounds) may trigger flashbacks-- although these do not appear to be entirely restricted to what vague memories of past trauma he retains. At times, he may recall fractured images of his life "before", but these tend to be rarer. He also retains no small amount of irritability, and is prone to outbursts that often result in violent and/or self-destructive behaviors. He hates being left unoccupied, as it allows too much space to think and work himself into dark places. He is working to improve upon all of these issues, but at present remains easily agitated.
A hard worker at heart, he is not one to slack off on the job, and willing to do whatever he must to see a task through to the end. It keeps him busy, and gives him a sense of purpose-- both of which he will sometimes find himself clinging to like a lifeline. He is very loyal to those he considers friends or allies, too, to the point of putting his own wellbeing at risk, but does not form such bonds lightly. Wolfe tends to regard most strangers with an air of cool caution until he better determines how to feel about who they are and what to do with them. After that, friends and enemies will know where they stand rather quickly
Overall, Wolfe seems to have very little concept or regard of right and wrong. He has no issues with harming or killing others in order to achieve whatever aims have been set before him, or otherwise performing violent or illegal acts for the sake of an assignment. He does not particularly take pleasure from such actions, nor does he shy away from them. He just acts as he feels he needs (or wants) to. In contrast, he also has moments where he can be surprisingly gentle in his treatment of others, although this is usually reserved for his cats, or those he considers close friends.
Wolfe is somewhat easy to manipulate in that he lacks his own personal direction. On his own, he can be uncertain what to do with himself when lacking a given task or diversion, and will often turn to one who has established themselves in a position of authority over him to make up for this sense of aimlessness. Under a trusted authority (usually his employers, although others might be able to achieve similar positions with enough time and effort), he is willing to go along with just about anything, regardless of any potential uncertainties.
After all he has been through, it should come as little surprise that Wolfe is far from the man he used to be so long ago. Though some remnants of the old personality remain, they are rather faint. As time passes, more may return, but a full recovery is highly unlikely, due in part to the emotional suppressants built into his cyborg body.

[PTab=APPEARANCE]
and I know it's something I did, baby
appearance
Once upon a time, Wolfe was a handsome man, Ikigaian in ethnicity and draconic in nature. These days, however, not even his own family would recognize him. His body is entirely mechanical, as one might expect, but unlike many hosted cyborgs, he does not possess synthskin of any kind. A metal visor and faceplate sit in place of normal human features, with a glowing green strip over the sensors that act as his eyes. A pair of short metal fins stick out from either side of the faceplate, somewhat reminiscent of horns or ears (don't call them the latter to his face), while the rest of his head is covered in darker plates.
Similarly, the rest of his body is covered in a series of metal plates and parts, and in some places tightly-woven meshes, designed to fit and slide together to allow for as much maneuverability as possible. In color, the chassis is various grays, and mostly matte save for his visor and a few of the plates on his chest and back, which have more of a sheen. On his shoulders, hips, and the front of his torso, a series of indents can be found around some of the bolts set into his body, round for the most part, with lines extending outward from the ones on his hips and midsection. Much like the strip on his visor, they glow green when Wolfe is powered up. When running on low power, the lights dim, and as one might expect they turn off entirely when the shell is shut down. While charging, they pulse softly at regular intervals.
Overall, Wolfe's form resembles that of a lean, physically-fit male, and generally it doesn't take much to believe he was built to be something like a living weapon. His particular build seems to favor speed and agility over heavy resistance to damage. Though certainly not the tallest out there, he still manages to cut a decently imposing figure at six feet, three inches.
Fashion
If the matter were entirely up to him, Wolfe would not wear clothing. However, common courtesy makes it a necessity in public. At work, he wears the typical uniform of Obsidian-- black slacks, and a white shirt with the club's symbol emblazoned on the back-- albeit one that was tailored specifically to hinder his movement as little as possible. Otherwise, plain shirts (usually button-ups) and pants that have been similarly altered usually keep him covered. He is not much of one for lots of color or patterns in his wardrobe, preferring instead unadorned, neutral tones. In the privacy of his home, finding little use for it, he only rarely gets dressed to begin with.

biography
Formerly known as Yoshiro Maeda, Wolfe was born in Dagos, the second child of a magi couple originally hailing from Ikigai. Like the rest of his family, he was a dragon-aspect magi, and wielded fire as his element. During his youth and adolescence, both technology and racism were on the rise in Ethea, but he still grew up well before the worst of it. In school, he was an average student at best, more interested in play and rough-housing than any sort of book-learning, and often skipped out on his classes to run off on adventures with his friends or elder brother. Otherwise, save for the occasional hallway scuffle, he wasn't much of a troublemaker.
He discovered a love for combat at a young age, and began training in martial arts beginning at age five. Starting with the bare basics of unarmed fighting, he spent years honing his skills in various forms of martial arts alongside his brother, who shared a similar interest in combat. Along the way, he also learned to integrate his magical abilities into his fighting style, and eventually would become a decent force to be reckoned with.
Upon graduating high school, Wolfe didn't much bother with pursuing a higher education, as such things did not particularly interest him at the time, and instead began seeking out work where he might continue to practice his martial abilities. Fortunately, life in Dagos made it relatively easy to find such work, whether it was as a mercenary or simply hired muscle, although not all of it was necessarily the most legal. The fighting rings certainly weren't. But young Wolfe wanted a challenge, and a challenge he got-- although Katsu did occasionally have to come to the rescue when his little brother got in a little too much over his head. For all his grumbling about it, he didn't seem to mind much.
Times were good, for a while. Though still quite young, Wolfe was beginning to make a name for himself as a fighter by the time he reached his twenties, though it would still be a good while before that really meant much. But a bigger name meant more compelling jobs, so the young dragon did everything he could to improve his skills and make himself known in the process. However, this all came to an end when he reached twenty-two years of age. On the way home from a successful night in one of Dagos' fighting rings, Wolfe was attacked and captured by a group of slavers wielding Downers. Though he fought well, he was no match for the drugs, and soon fell unconscious.
As soon as he was subdued, Wolfe was carted off to the Runic University, and handed over to the headmaster for use as an experiment. Much of his time in the labs hidden beneath the University was spent in a drug-induced haze. In his particular case, several attempts were made to create a functional magi-cyborg hybrid, with the intent of using him as a living weapon. Gradually, more and more of his body was lost to these experiments, while the technology meant to be fused with him in its place never worked, though there were overloads, short circuits, and abrupt ceases of function abound. And with the loss of his body came a loss of peace of mind as well, as his memories of the experimentation performed on him and some unfortunate others he witnessed ate at him in what few quiet moments he was afforded.
After the umpteenth series of failures, Yoshiro was left alone for a time, to the point where he had begun to wonder if he had been forgotten entirely before the headmaster returned one last time. This time, though, rather than attempt to attach some new limb or another, the dragon magi was to have his brain removed, and placed into an entirely cybernetic body to create something like a hosted human. Emotional inhibitors and some further combat programming were included in the shell as advance preparations, but almost immediately after the procedure was completed, his brain shut down. He did not die, however, and instead was left essentially comatose. The brain was preserved following this final failure, and left forgotten in the University archives for many years.
For Wolfe, much of this time was spent dreaming, as his soul could not depart to be reborn while his brain was still technically alive. With no other organs with which to perceive his environment, his "waking" moments consisted of a terrifying nothingness, so he chose to instead remain adrift in Nevyne's realm as much as he could. Eventually, he even learned to dream lucidly, and took to aimlessly wandering the ever-shifting landscape of dreams and nightmares for the next several decades.
He would likely have remained in the dream realm for a good time longer, if the cyber experiment had not been revived by the University's current headmaster, Ulrich. A few months ago, Wolfe's brain was taken from the archives to repeat the attempts to create a successfully hosted magi. Runes were built into the new cybernetic parts (mostly located within the casing housing the brain), in order to force the technology to work with the magi's brain. Ultimately, the technology did work, but Wolfe was left without the ability to access his innate magic. This experiment was deemed a failure as well, and he was powered down to be returned to the archives once more.
However, the shutdown was not completed properly, and Yoshiro awoke in the middle of transport. After knocking out the professor responsible for moving him, he was able to escape the labs, and fled the University. He did not stop running then, however, and soon had left Felici as a whole as well, after hopping a train to Dagos on some instinct he couldn't quite explain. Upon arrival, he wandered the city in search of an uncertain destination, before running out of power and collapsing in a back alley. Later, he was found by the Diacha sisters, owners of a nearby club called Obsidian, taken to be recharged and, following some discussion, taken on as an employee both at the club and to assist with some of their less-savory dealings as well, under the new name of Wolfe.
Presently, Wolfe remembers nothing of his former life, or of his time in the lab save for hazy bits and pieces of the final experiment and his escape. Memories of his time spent dreaming have been similarly lost. On occasion a sight or sound will bring out a feeling of deja vu or some inexplicable flashback, but no clear memories have surfaced thus far.

[PTab=SKILLS]
Got to get back to the life that I know
Default Skills
Recharge Upgrade: The amount of time needed to recharge does not have to be the rough estimate of time needed for humans to sleep (≈ 8 hours per 24 hours). A three to four hours will suffice.
Melee I: Wolfe can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with a melee weapon. (Typically uses a folding katana and wakizashi, but can utilize other weapons if need be.)
Throwing I: Wolfe can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with throwing weapons. Specialized projectiles unlocked: Downers
Purchased abilities
Enhanced Strength: Wolfe is capable of displaying strength that is two times as impressive as would a human of his exact same dimensions.
Hydraulic Legs: Enhanced jumping distances. Wolfe can bound over a good ten feet, and land safely from long falls (within reason). Assuming he lands on his feet, that is. Note that this does NOT increase his speed.
Purchased weaponry levels
Melee II: Wolfe is now better able to dual-wield.
Melee III: Wolfe can use a variety of weapons with high skill.
Throwing II: Wolfe is now better able to throw multiple weapons at once. Specialized projectiles unlocked: Flash, Smoke Screen, Net
Throwing III: Improved throwing skill. Specialized projectiles unlocked: Explosive, Short-circuit, Glue
Unarmed Combat I: Wolfe knows the basics and can hold his own in a street fight.
Unarmed Combat II: Wolfe has improved in this skill and can accomplish more impressive feats.
Unarmed Combat III: Wolfe is extremely talented in unarmed combat (mixed martial arts). Not only is he able to defend himself from melee attacks, but he also has a high chance of getting his opponents to drop their weapons, if given the chance (the fumble concept applies to firearms as well).
