399 words @bjarga NOT THE BEES! AAAAAAAH ► Now don't get me wrong: Lelianna absolutely adored spring. It was when all the plants finally awoke again. Flowers were blooming, the fruit was growing, and the animals of the forest were active again!
However with the awakening season came one thing she wasn't particularly fond of: Insects. Namely bees.
"AHH! That is NOT a flower!" The antlered magi flailed, feeling the sudden intrusion of a curious bee investigating her ear. Gods that always felt so unnerving! Acting quickly the magi managed to dislodge the bee before it did anything. She really did not want to get stung in the ear again. That had happened once and Lelianna vowed to never let it occur again if it was in her power. Now she just glared at the little thing whizzing around her head. "If you did help the flowers grow I swear..." Even though the little buzzing things could easily get on the redhead's nerves, she couldn;t deny that they helped her flowers immensely. Especially out in the field; the place was a swarming ground some days.
Days that the magi pointedly stayed away from the fields for.
However even so Lelianna still managed to attract the bees on her own. The flowers growing from her hair like a wreath didn't give her much of a choice. She'd gotten used to their presence after her time in Arecia but nothing was ever going to make her get used to one of the things flying right into her ear. Which apparently the thing was trying to do again as she felt something fuzzy hit her. "No!" The hermit stood up in a swift movement, puffing up indignantly. "You stop that! I don't have time for-" Once more the sound of buzzing came close to her ear. Lelianna flinched away, putting a hand up to her ear and backing off. Gods now it was chasing her! Backpedaling quickly, the magi felt other fuzzy little things touch her hands.
"Gah! No!" it was kind of comical really seeing this hermit suddenly powerwalking away from a miniature swarm of bees. All while yelling back at them. "My ears are not flowers! What's it goes to take to get you guys to understand that! Stop following me! There's other flowers-- looks there's a group right there for Arithelia's sake!!"
Stupid bees.

Her eyes opened with a start. She did not remember falling asleep. She did not remember much of the time before either. The way her eyes burned indicated she had not sleep nearly long enough. She tried to remember back, but it was all fuzzy. All she could remember for certain was trying to find Arithelia.
She heard shouting once more, and realized that was what woke her. She'd rise, slowly and clumsily. For some reason, it was hard to get balance, and she was slightly dizzy.
Then a strange woman with flowers in her hair ran beneath where she lie upon the thick branches of the tall oak tree above, and a small cloud of bees followed.
This brought her mind in to focus. She'd leap, catching the air beneath her as she all but swan dove between them. She curled in midair, sending a gust of wind at the bees before rolling upon her back across the ground only to stand erect and unharmed between them, with her back towards the bees. Her years of training with the monks on various motions associated with the safe flow of energy had taught her well.
She'd turn upon her heels to face the dispersed and disgruntled swarm of bees. She'd take a deep breath, and enter a trance. She was too delirious in her sleep-deprivation to think straight, and the familiar motions of her body reminded her of things that normally a better rested mind would urge her to forget.
She took up the stance slowly, as any of the monks would have done, but suddenly, rather than the slow and peaceful motions their kata took in meditation, hers were fierce and aggressive: meditation turned to focus to defend one's self against enemies. Her movements were fluid, if swift, and the flow of energies through her body caused the hair on her body to stand on end. This was most evident in her tail, as it became larger than seemed possible, emulating a large, spiked animal itself.
Then the energies began to cause her body to spark. Every motion was swift to ensure the proper transference of energies so that they would not linger too long and burn her. She walked slowly towards the bees, maintaining this kata. The bees would be able to feel the fierce, electrical energies in the air, and would disperse.
Bjarga, seeing this would give one, final, fierce motion, unleashing a strong burst of electrical power from her palm. She briefly wondered, for a moment, if she might one day be able to do more with this power. She'd forgotten how it felt.
However, as she left the trance she could feel the way the hairs on her back stood on end - and those on her head. She'd groan and try to pat it back down, but it was a useless endeavor. She'd sigh and turn to see if the strange woman was still there, hoping she wasn't so she wouldn't see her in such a ridiculous state.

290 words @bjarga So much floof ► From behind her Lelianna could feel a sudden gust of wind come out of nowhere, sucking some of her hair backwards. Startled by the sensation the magi glanced back only to find another magi had appeared from, as far as Lelianna was concerned, thin air. Blinking curiously, the hermit realized that the other girl was apparently fighting off the bees for her! Now that was really sweet of her...whoever this was.
However a particular detail did not escape Lelianna as she started to calm down. First of all there was the electricity that was coming off of Bjarga. Which to be fair did scare the redhead only a little b it Mainly due to a little bit of unease she felt wafting off the surrounding greenery. Lightning strikes could fell trees and start fires after all. It was the second thing, though, that caught her eye.
Every bit of hair on the other magi's head was standing on it's end. It made the other girl look like her head and tail were like balls of fur. Despite being saved by the girl, Lelianna found herself having to quickly move her hands from covering her ears to covering her mouth. The girl had just helped her! Lelianna shouldn't be laughing!
For once it was Lelianna finding someone else in a ridiculous state.
"T-Thank you. I-I'm sorry just--" She bit her lip and averted her head for a moment. A bit of a laugh still managed to escape her. She didn't mean to laugh she swore but the sight was just too funny! Looking away helped her a little bit. "s-Sorry but honestly thank you." The redhead managed to say.

Bjarga would sulk slightly. She'd close her eyes and sink in to a meditate stance. She'd focus on balancing her energies. Her hair would not return to it's normal state, but would not longer stand quite so erect. Another deep breath, and she'd finally reply, calm and composed.
"You're welcome." She'd open her eyes and give her first real look at her acquaintance. Her red hair was pretty, but not as pretty as Alex's. She seemed to be about her height, when she became a guy that is. Her clothes weren't fancy, but there was a sort of charm to her. She was nice to look at.
"The flowers on your head are really pretty. I can see why the bees liked you. I like you too." Without shame, she'd elaborate, "Your swirls look fun. I kinda wanna trace 'em with my fingers." She'd giggle and begin rolling in little circles, shifting her weight between her thighs, shins, and bottom. She was having way too much fun thinking about the swirls. She'd slow down shortly after though, as she grew a little dizzy. Her eyes never left the stranger. "I like the stick you got there. The blue shiny rock kinda looks like a sapphire. How'd you get it to stay like that?" She'd give a goofy smile, that made it very apparent how tired she was.
She'd suddenly give an exaggerated, "Oh!" almost a shout. She'd laugh at her own volume, almost rolling on to her back, her tail curling to keep her upright, before proceeding, "I'm lookin' for Arithelia," her words would slur, "you seen 'er?"

384 words @bjarga *Instant Concern* ► Oh jeez she was sulking now. Lelianna really didn't mean to offend the girl but...Come on! The girl looked hilarious with her hair all puffed up like that. While Bjarga meditated to get her hair under control, Lelianna averted her head and got her giggles under control. It was super rude for her to be giggling at the person who'd just gotten rid of those pestersome bees for her.
Regaining her composure before long, Lelianna did her best to ignore the still staticy hair on the girl's head and tail. Luckily Bjarga helped her with that by talking. Apparently her flowers we pretty. And she was...liked? As were her swirls that the other girl apparently wanted to trace. That was...a little interesting. Unbidden Lelianna felt some heat rise to her cheeks. "Oh! Well um...thank you." She was complimented after all. She simply hadn't expected that to be one of the first things out of a complete stranger's mouth. Nor was she expecting the stranger to start gyrating on the forest floor like some little top.
The attention to her staff pulled her gaze away from Bjarga though. With a glance the hermit observed the large staff currently strapped to her back. The sight of the blue stone relaxed her just a tad. "Oh...My father made this, actually." The redhead replied with a slightly softer tone. The staff, along with her headband, was likely her most prized material possession. Both were all she had left her her parents. But it wouldn't do for the hermit to linger on such thoughts. So she moved on. Which was easy since Bjarga suddenly shouted.
Okay now this was slightly concerning. The girl was almost acting as though she were...drunk. Though it was hard for Lelinanna to tell exactly how she was acting since she hadn't been around that many drunks before. Still something was definitely off. She looked far, far too tired. Especially someone supposedly looking for Arithelia. Which was...A strange quest. "I...I-I haven't but I think you really should rest." Lelianna said, worry starting to flood her features when she realized the girl was acting loopy due to sleep deprivation. "You look very tired. Please, a-are you from Haven?"

Bjarga would stand, staggering a bit as she did so. "No can do, fair maiden!" She'd say far louder than she realized, practically shouting, "I have to find Arithelia. It's super," she'd hold out the 'u' for an exaggerated amount of time, "important. Who else is going to fix the world?" She'd shake her head emphatically, "Nope. I gotta find her."
Then, abruptly, "You're really pretty. I mean, I can understand why the bees were drawn to you. If I were a bee, I'd be drawn to you too." She'd look pensive for a moment before saying, "You're lucky. You could probably pass as Arithelia. I bet she's at least as beautiful as you are."
She said these things with no shame nor lecherous intent. Bjarga was earnest and sincere in her compliments. However, despite her words, she'd make no actions to indicate she intended to stay, and would instead begin to walk away as if to continue her search, with no regard as to her current condition.
She'd completely forgotten about her hair, so it still mostly stood on end. She'd reach down and grab a piece of shattered crystal, holding it up to the light as she did so, with a practiced motion of one who had done this so many times it was effortless, in order to cause it to act as a prism and create a small rainbow. She'd smile at it.
She'd wonder what the woman's flowers smelled like, and would turn away from her rainbow for a moment to look at her as she wondered. However, her eyes gave no answers, and her mind was adamant about the fact that finding Arithelia was more important than satisfying her whims of fancy. Unless she was stopped, or successful, she'd return to her search until she passed out once more.

333 words @bjarga I am only a deer, not a goddess! ► Wait fair maiden? Wait Arithelia? Why were they shouting? Why was Bjarga shouting? And why was she looking for Arithelia? Did she mean the temple? "Did y-" before Lelianna could get much of a word in edgewise though, the other magi had whirled around and was complimenting her. Which certainly got her blishing. But nothing made her stutter faster than hearing herself be compared to Arithelia for gods' sakes! Every last one of the flowers adorning her head turned a dark crimson color. Which was perfect to match her face as blood rushed to it and turned her scarlet.
How in the world could she get compared to a goddess!?
"W-What?! N-N-No! No! Nonononono I-I'm not-- I c-could never--" In her stammering a laugh left her at this ridiculousness. "I-I am not Arithelia." She replied firmly. She'd spent years in Arecia Woods. Seen all the beauty within. The glory of nature at its fullest. How in the world could she possibly be compared to the goddess who'd made it? Even as a joke the reaction from the redheaded magi was instinctive. "T-Thank you b-but...N-no that can't be." Good thing Bjarga was basically wandering off on her own though. It gave Lelianna time to gather herself again before figuring out just what she should do.
Part of her wanted to go after the magi. She still looked so horribly tired and she was wandering off into the woods! Magi could take care of themselves certainly but with how loopy this girl was acting...After a moment of lip biting Lelianna trailed after her. "A-Are you trying to get to Arithelia's temple?" She asked, calling out to the other girl. "I-If that's what you're looking for then I could show you." What else would the girl mean by "looking for Arithelia?" Taran had been looking for the temple some time ago too. Maybe that was the case here?
