Personality overall
Vincent, Vinny to his friends, is a complicated person to say the least. He's dealt with a lot of shit in his short life, not solely down to his obsessive interest in the Magi as a race. Most label him as an extreme eccentric, though there's a bit more to him than that; like an onion, Vinny has layers. Due to past trauma's, when dealing with other humans he tends to give the air of superiority, almost condescending in nature. They are after all, not worth his time. This air isn't exactly foolproof however, far from it in fact, if there's even a hint of a topic that inspires him, Vinny is filled with
Ever since Vinny was young, he'd always struggled to correctly display his emotions, resorting for the most part in letting them build up within. This results in often explosive outbursts of anything from sorrow to rage, from love to joy. A logical guy all in all, though logic can sometimes come off complex to the average Joe. As he grew older, he became better equipped to deal with these outbursts, namely by bottling them up better than before, hiding them behind a wall of indifference, and that previously mentioned air of superiority, then when alone with his thoughts, he can drink and smoke himself into a state where he can properly deal with how he feels. Even now the excitement he shows when presented with a topic of interest is just a front, to be dealt with later over the evening news and a large glass of scotch. Sure he could go and see someone about all this, but with a system like his, there's no real point anymore. As long as he doesn't let anyone close, Vinny can keep on going forwards.

[PTab=APPEARANCE]
BUT THE SOUL REMAINS
appearance
Roughly six foot in height, Vincent stands slightly above the average human, though his upright posture drilled in by years of schooling gives off the impression of someone even taller. Long white locks hang down over his face, though generally at work they're tied back into a ponytail, man-bun, or some other kind of organised chaos. The dye job on his hair is of high quality however, and is meticulously kept up to standard, making so that if it wasn't sure an odd colour, it would likely be hard to notice the dye.
Around town, Vincent comes off like a man driven, his stance is professional, confident, when he walks he seems to walk with a purpose. Generally wearing a nice shirt (albeit un-pressed, and most probably dirty), smart casual trousers, shoes and belt to match. Lean muscle hides behind unkempt shirt, maybe unusual for a man of his work, but not for a man in his position. Whilst there definitely is strength in the mans body, most of it is in his legs, less lean there, much more physically adapted to Vincents current situation. All in all coming off as someone who maybe have gotten lost in the Slums of Dagos, rather than a resident.
When up close and personal with our dear Vinny, the initial impact is often his deep green eyes, like a lake in colder climates. They're almost piercing in nature, and prone to scrutinising, as is the way of a doctor. When exiting an encounter of this kind, Vincent tends to leave behind a smell, fresh and clean, not matter how dirty he might seem, not quite aftershave, not quite musk, but somewhere inbetween.
Fashion
Having worn a uniform for most of his developmental years, Vinny has a hard hatred of the things now, so it's no surprise he keeps it fairly lax while working. What most of his patients will see is sterilised lab coat, gloves, shiny metal stabbing implements, then blackness. Though when away from work, Vinny prefers to relax in a nice informal white shirt and black pants, matching coloured belt and shoes are always worn, that's just fashion sense. Though it's not unheard of for him to be seen in a nice cardigan or sweater, reading glasses perched on nose, and book in hand. Minimalist at first glance. Though closer scrutinisation will always bring about imperfection, Vinny almost never manages to tuck all of his shirt in, leaving coat-tails poking from here or there. He isn't striving to look immaculate, just professional. Even scum of the earth criminals know about professionalism, and the professional look of shirt sans tie, and informal black evening trousers speaks volumes to their ilk. Why else would assassins dress so smartly?
Adorning Vinny's wrist oft is a gold plated antique watch, a last goodbye from his father. A cog ring on his right ring finger, symbolising how no matter what, the world keeps on turning. Finally, a delta is tattooed onto his left forearm, showing off his strong belief in change.
Vincent appreciates fashion, modern youngsters fashion maybe not so much. However, the high-class fat cats didn't know much, but they knew two things for sure; how to party, and how to dress. Nothing beats an expensive suit, or a dress with flair. The name of the game wasn't necessarily pizzaz, more, I look good and I know it, wanna see? Fashion is hard to put into words, it's more a feeling. Fashion sense is a lot like money in Vinny's opinion. Some people got it, some people don't.

biography
From the get-go Vinny was born into an unhappy family. If he was of the mind he could probably blame his own damaged psyche on that. He isn't though, and so he doesn't. Vincents father was of the cheating type, his mother of the drinking type. Even before he was born, Andrew already had several other mistresses, and gods knew how many bastard children, still, for some reason known only to him, he tried his best to stay in the picture. While all this went on, Kythrn decided it was best to drink herself to happiness instead of actually dealing with the root of all her problems. Love works in strange way kids, strange messed up ways. Despite these family issues, Vincent managed to have a reasonably decent early childhood. With waking hours between 8am and 9pm, and school filling up the middle, he missed all the fighting, his father returning from "work" and his mother recovering from her "chronic-headaches". Ignorance truly was bliss. Outside of being an infamous womaniser, Vincent's father was a well renowned business man, back in the day he worked for Chasteaux Arms, and managed to get his family rather nice accommodation in Felici because of it. He certainly kept his wife in a high standard of living. That was probably the reason she put up with all his shit, looking at it. Whoever said money can't make you happy clearly never bathed in a solid gold alloy bath. Something about the way gold makes your skin glow makes all your cares just disappear.
Once Vincent reached more of an age of maturity the problems start. You know the age, when a teenager starts actually having to deal with their feelings, when they start actively trying to get into fights with their parents for no apparent reason. The rebellious stage. Well it was around this point that Vincent started to piece together all the strange things that went on in the house, his father keeping odd hours, and several times actually catching him in the act. The disappearing bottles of 'no-no' liquid syncing up with his mother's headaches. He wasn't a moron, far from it in fact, it wasn't a difficult deduction to make. So what's the only logical solution to his parents? Send your child to boarding school, and get a divorce. Beautiful. Though that did lead to a relatively uninteresting adolescence.
After graduation, well, there wasn't really a lot for Vinny to do. He frequented the internet, left his friends behind. Tucked himself into a book and forgot the world. Until his savings ran out and his father cut him off. A short phone call caught Vinny up on everything he'd missed about his family, his mother had taken her maiden name and moved out, still drinking though, still occasionally staying over at his fathers. Whereas his father had pretty much just kept calm and carried on as normal. He agreed to give Vinny access to funds again as long as he got a job at Chasteaux Arms. Without much choice, Vinny agreed, and almost immediately began working as a researcher under his father's department. Businessmen ordering around scientists just felt wrong, but the work he did was promising, promoting Vinny to actually research subjects outside of work. Soon weapons research and design just felt boring, so he began researching more complex machines, and still more complex. From weapons to Cyborgs, and then on to humans, finally culminating in the biological research of Magi.
Making another agreement with his father, Vinny left Chasteaux Arms, and started his studies to become a medical doctor. It didn't take him long, his PhD actually brought his name to fame to some, and infamy to others with it's interesting look at Cyborgs, Humans, and Magi. From there he moved on to work with a couple of friends on an experiment called Project:Eden. As the youngster of the group he felt constantly underestimated, but still put his whole heart into his research and work. Even when his mother fell ill, and finally died, he continued to work. When his father was very suddenly murdered, he kept working. Years went by, the Project:Eden team grew, and finally they succeeded in a prototype. With that the project grew explosively, business types took over the moment Imzumrud became a living oasis, creating what everyone knows now as Hyalldome. But the moment that happened, Vinny ceased all connection to the company, he took all the research he could garner and left in the dead of night. With the money his father left him, and after selling the obnoxiously large apartment in Felici he had once lived in, Vinny vacated to a smaller, darker part of the world in Dagos. Opening up his doors (medically) to the scum of the earth that paid very handsomely for him to keep them alive one more day.
His love and interest in Cyborgs and Magi is purely through experience, and a leftover feeling from his research in his high education.
After a year of living in Dagos, he met someone, a girl - Orianna. She was breathtaking, literally, she was a Magi with strength over the element of air. When she came to him, she'd been stabbed, or burned, or something. It was all semantics really, from how she found him, to who had hurt her. All he wanted was to protect her and make her safe. So he did, for three months he gave her food, shelter, protection, everything he possibly could. He fell in love with her, but it didn't seem they had the exact same feelings. Sure they shared each others company, but Vinny was clearly putting all the effort in, then one day, with no notice whatsoever, she disappeared. All her belongs were where she'd left them, only the clothes she'd worn the night before. Vincent flew into a rage at her disappearance, pulling all his favours to find her, but to no avail. The one saving grace was an old friends words of wisdom: "Dead people leave corpses." It was true. No body meant she wasn't dead. Or no one had found the body yet...but you focus on positives when living in a shithole in Dagos.
