Rune is considered one of the more stoic, dark, bad boy types. He doesn't talk much until he starts drinking, then he either can't shut up or can't control his actions. His tough guy mask falls as soon as an attractive man walks by though. Being homosexual has its challenges, but being homosexual and it being confused with things that have been drilled into your head since birth, makes for a pretty messed up mix. 

It starts when Rune sees said guy he thinks is 'cute'. That's when the heart starts racing, the palms become sweaty, and Rune tries his hardest to avoid the character he has seen. If said man walks up to Rune and tries to talk, or hit on him, even just ask for directions. Rune is out of there faster than you can say 'hi'. He immediately starts to hyperventilate and if he can't escape, tries to cool his brain and get through the interaction as fast as possible. It isn't that he doesn't understand that he is gay, it is just that he has a hard time accepting those urges. 

The opposite happens with women. Rune is completely smooth no matter what the woman looks like, but it does absolutely nothing for him. Other than that, Rune enjoys long walks throughout the city, and diverse 'people watching'. Stealth is something he naturally is able to do, and he likes to eavesdrop on conversations. Most times, his curiosity gets the better of him and he finds himself in maybe not..so...friendly situations. He is more of a loner, preferring not to be particularly 'close' with anyone in the sense that he never lets anyone into his inner thoughts. Everyone is kept at arms length distance and he hates when people show up unexpectedly at his house and interrupts his privacy without calling in advance. 

Standing at 5'7, Rune isn't as tall as he would have liked. His hair constantly looks almost bed-head like, but that also might be because in the morning, Rune runs his fingers through his hair and calls it good. It works with his look. His hair is also a brownish almost black color, only really showing the brown in the sunlight. His hair is a little longer than shoulder length, with a touch of red in the bottom.

His eyes are a pale, almost luminescent yellow, seeming to almost glow at night, reflecting back in the dark. His magi traits are more catlike, with pointed ears on his head of a more black color with dark brown stripes that are more visible in the sun. His tail, a long thing rope that is also more catlike, with a small tuft of hair at the end, has the same coloring as his ears. It isn't distinct, just a little more hair than the rest of his tail, and this hair is mostly black with a peppering of brown in it and a touch of red.

His skin is a light brown, almost tanned looking, which makes his yellow eyes stand out even more. His build is sleek and toned muscle over being super muscular and bulky. 




Rune is usually found in a white or black t-shirt and jeans. He wears black boots and on his wrist is a thin brown leather band with a small silver bell attached. He always has a black leather jacket with him, whether it is on him or he is carrying it, no matter the weather. He doesn't like hates too much, and besides the leather band on his wrist he wears no other jewelry.

Rune was born in Kimura, Ikigai to Bastien and Mishka Sabatier. Mishka was a human who had arrived on a merchant vessel. Her father had piloted the vessel and she had seen Bastien, who is an Earth Magi, cultivating some plants with a tenderness she had never seen. It was love at first site, a beautiful foreign human from Saraja and a magi from Ikigai. She ran away from her father and moved in with Bastien and a short year later, Rune was born. For the first 6 years of his life, he had all the warmth of a happy home. When he had turned 5, his mom had given him a bracelet with a small silver bell. Needless to say, she was surprised when her child had ears and a tail, but she accepted him regardless.

On Rune's 6th birthday, Mishka went to the bigger island to buy a gift that Rune had always wanted, but never returned. His father, Bastien searched high and low for her for years but after Rune turned 11, he gave up. Bastien's heart hardened, and looking at Rune just brought him pain. Rune soon grew cold to his father. It was hard for him, growing up and his father always commenting on how he looked just like his mother. He constantly went to the marketplace to hear tales from merchants about travels of the world. 

In his youth, he learned about his fire magi ability, tips and tricks here and there from other fire magi, considering his father was an earth magi. It was also probably why they never quite saw eye to eye. He always carries around a lighter and a small box of matches. 

When Rune was 12, he befriended an old merchant named Christoff. Christoff had a funny accent and he taught Rune street smarts, and how to use a knife. When Rune turned 20, he ran to town, knowing Christoff was supposed to be there, selling his wares from his travels. But he never showed up. For the next few years, Rune tried to keep an ear to the ground, hoping to find him and failing. 

By now, his father had declined into a deepening depression. Bastien barely acknowledged his son and Rune hated him for that. It had been drilled into his brain when he was a teenager that he had to find a magi girl and have children with her. He was the last of his line and no other would do besides a magi girl. But Rune was not interested in that. He was more interested in traveling. When he was 25, Rune packed up his bags, taking his experience from years spent in bars, pubs, and around the merchants, along with what he picked up from Christoff, and paid for passage to Suraja. He had heard stories of his mothers home-land from some merchants that had from that way and he wanted to see. It was here he had first discovered of his attraction to men. He tried for years after to diminish the attraction, trying to still follow his fathers teachings, regardless of how he felt. Even to this day, it is still a hard thing for him to accept and his body wars with his mind, causing the freak out and subsequent hyperventilation that happens when a cute boy talks to him, sees him, flirts with him, or just walks past him.
 
The biggest thing that had happened to Rune was discovering his mother had died more than 15 years ago on a vessel. She had been kidnapped and sold into a human trafficking ring. She died by her own hand rather than let another person touch her it turned out. Rune's heart grew heavy with this information, and spurred his constant traveling and started detaching himself from meaningful relationships, preferring instead to be a flirt or to lead girls on, but never commit. 

After travelling for a few years around Suraja, he books passage and travelled from Frokadiin and into Wuld. After he turned about 40, Rune ended up in Ethea. He was hardy from his travels. He had mostly kept to himself throughout the years and had never returned to Ikigai. He travelled around Ethea, noticing immediately how he had to keep hidden for fear of capture by the hunters. He had had to do this in a few places but this was by far the worst for him. He eventually caught wind of a magi only city called Haven. Interested, Rune made his way there and when he turned 43, he settled, opening up a bar called The Curious Cat. It was modeled after all his adventures, holding pieces here and there from around the world. He was proud of the small bar and business was soon booming. He lived a normal life, serving the patrons of Haven all sorts of alcohol. He enjoyed hearing stories from merchants, and missed traveling at times, but this was something that brought him joy, and so he stayed. At 56, Rune has had numerous girlfriends, having strung along many different girls, but none ever spurred him the way an attractive man could. 

Rune ventures out at times to Camlorn, and if he is wearing a trench coat and hat then he would travel to Felici to purchase more exotic alcohol for his bar. But other than that, he stays in Felici and is careful not to get into any relationship that is meaningful, still. His slogan is "Helping Magi get drunk for the last 10 years"

- Flame I: Just as most Magi Magic, the flames must already exist. So be prepared to carry around matches and lighters with you. You are able to grow fire from your immediate person to double your arms length.
- Heat: The ability to cause at least one appendage of your body to warm up at a time (arm, leg, etc). Your skin can get to the point of burning someone upon contact if you wish or remain at a comforting warmth. Judging your own character's level of experience and practice, they may be able to heat up their entire body at once.
-Melee I (starter)-Can accomplish fundamental and basic feats with melee weapons.
