Oh Honey I’m gonna make your life so sweet ❤ Kel smiled as looked around the small town known as Camlorn. She had a meeting here with one of her dealers. Apparently, the amount of eggs that she was used to getting was lower than normal in her latest shipment, so Kel thought it would be best to come and see if everything was okay. She had known this particular family since her days at CAIF, with one of the students being in her same class. She had connected with them, oddly enough over the family’s quality of ingredients that the family would send to her friend in care packages. The family had agreed to become one of her suppliers when Kel had finally gotten back to Felici and revitalized Sweet Nothings. She knew that these people cared about their business and actually gave a damn about their products. Kel firsthand knew that quality ingredients could make or break the products she was making. Only the best was right for her shop. How else was she to make pastry perfections? So thus, she had hopped the bus to Camlorn, ready to make sure everything was okay. Fiddling with her necklace, it was gift from her brother, Kel looked down over herself. She supposed that her outfit was a bit informal, but it was most certainly cute. It also showed that she put in the effort to be this way. Kel smiled as she adjusted her pink white scalloped jacket that hung over her striped long sleeved shirt. It was one of her favorites. Especially paired with her cute little boat skirt and stripey knee highs. Kel had confidence in how she looked and was more than okay with meeting her friend and supplier in this outfit. Almost as soon as she had stepped off the bus however, her holopad rang. Glancing at it, she shifted it to voice mode, and touched the node lodged in her ear. Frowning she realized that she had four separate messages, all telling her that her meeting with the supplier wasn’t going to happen today. Apparently, when she had gotten on the bus, and turned her holopad off, the supplier had been trying to reach her. There was an emergency in the family, something about zombie chickens? So now Kel was in Camlorn, all by herself, with half a day to kill before she was supposed to head back. What to do, What to do? She grinned as she spotted the small street that housed the majority of the small town’s commerce. Window shopping time? Kel grinned as she started to walk forward on the street and began looking in the shop's window displays. Oh! She just had to have that hat! Kel grinned as her window shopping turned into actual shopping, and she spent the next hour or so shopping. Happy with her purchases Kel stepped out of the shop and bumped into someone standing outside. Her bags flew up, and she fell to the ground, different shirts, and stylized items falling to the ground in the bags. In the midst of the woman falling, she looked up and saw that she had bumped into someone who looked like they needed a good meal. “Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry!” Now Kel was flailing around trying to gather her things. “I’m really sorry about this. I guess I didn’t see you.” Slowly gathering all of her things, Kel stood, back to her height of five foot two inches. Still short, but somewhat taller. “I really do apologize, is there anything I can do to help with the inconvenience of this?” Sweet trusting Kel will do just about anything if she feels like she did something wrong. “I’m Kelri Anderson, and I really do apologize for my clumsiness.” The blush on Kel's face is evident of her embarrassment at her involvement in the situation. -tag: Mikaiah Lupei #words:638 - notes:Sorry if it is rambly and bad. "My Guiding Moonlight" He needed them to quench the fire running up his fingers and causing his cleft hand to go rigid and stiff. As if the entirety of his being was crying out loud for that burst of focus and relief. He couldn't play the violin today, not without his glorious medicine to lift him up and make his music feel correct. Even if he wanted to give his bow a twirl, the string never seemed to vibrate or agree with him and everything was shaking and shivering against his will. He would look every which way, trying just in vain to find glance something that would give him his daily dose and use up his excess stores of energy. Miki felt his heart rate stiffen as he rounded an unkempt corner onto the main setting of Le'Fleur Street that seemed like the arrow running straight through the heart of town. He half-hobbled then skipped then tried to just turn around when something seemed to flash outside of his peripheral vision. Forgoing his usual outfit, Miki donned a blackened t-shirt with ripped trousers, much stained green from his travels and excursions through the forest. His Magi traits were very hard to hide with limited resources, but he made do. The young Magi had wrapped his unusual hand in bandages in order to keep from the prying eyes of passersby and his hair still covered over his half-reptilian eyelid. The issue of hiding his Salamander Tail was tricky, though not impossible to have it wrap discretely around his thigh, butt, and groin. It would still look a little bit... odd to say the least however. Some mischievous part of him was silently amused when others passed him by, though looking like he had a little more junk in the trunk was one of the last things he was worrying about. Having his inherited Salamander Tail shown out in public was the last thing he wanted, especially while he was still trying to find the drugs he so needed at this very moment. Le'Fleur Street was busy and populated with men and women of many different stripes; Miki's eyes passed by most of them with a surreptitious glaze of his lonely blue eye. His fingers were clammy and chomping at the bit as he kept walking down the street while looking a bit like a disturbed tourist with a bit of a crazed look in his eye. Coming closer and passing by a little closely-placed and very much architecturally-ordinary store, Miki stopped to spare a passing glance while skipping a step as his compulsion became ever stronger. Unintentionally, he also wasn't looking in that moment when the door came flying open and banged into him with a ringing 'thud' and 'slam'. Miki was thrown back and rolled a bit on the ground like a lizard on its back nevertheless. He was aware and heard the polite apologies that came afterwards, though not much broke through his mental guard in that moment, save for the name of his interloper as Kelri Anderson. In a fit of irritability, the Magi immediately invoked the magic he had within him and telepathically slammed himself into the young girl's mind. She had a timid, meek look to her and with his current fit wasn't bound to give any mercy. His mental tone was akin to a slobbering beast, "I NEED THEM!! IF YOU'RE F****** SORRY THAN GIVE ME THE DRUGS I WANT!" he shouted through the link he established via telepathy.
Note: Yeah. Miki is going through withdrawal symptoms. This could get interesting and fast. "Speech Here"

Kel really was looking forward to her meeting with her contact and supplier. Even if she couldn’t though, she was determined to have a good time. After all this small town was four hours away from the city she had grown up in, and it she wasn’t going to waste any of her travel time / time off from the shop. She also was more than happy to spend a little money and increase the commerce in the town.
Kelri was always more than happy to spend a little money. Especially on things that deserved it, or would last her a long time. Kelw as a firm believer in things that were homemade or handmade, or had a value behind them. In CAIF, Kel was the one making most of her clothes, if only because she couldn’t rely on her parent’s money anymore, and she found that a little fabric could go a long way.
Kel knew she was privileged, and she knew that the opportunities she had were some that most magi or cyborgs would not even have been considered to her. Yes, she was a hard worker but she also knew that she was gifted in her own right. She didn’t have to have powers to be a good person. She had determination after all. And Cookies, who could forget the powers of cookies?
Not her. She was still more than happy that she had graduated from CAIF. It had allowed her to pursue something that she loved, i.e. baking. Kel put all of her effort into her shop, into her pastries. She probably would be a workaholic for the rest of her life, but she didn’t really care. Especially when she was doing something she loved. That was the important part.
Kel was a bit preoccupied with the shopping to really notice anything out of the ordinary. It wasn’t like anything bad was happening in town. So instead she was focusing on the impromptu shopping trip that she had decided upon as soon as she had gotten the news. That hat on sale was hers! It was a bucket hat and it curved over her hair and framed her face effectively.
In all she was having a pretty good time and that wasn’t going to let anyone change this nice time she had. Of course, she had to go and be a clutz... again. She wasn’t a completely clumsy person, but sometimes she just didn’t look at where she was going. She knew she was completely at fault for rushing into someone on accident, and she was more than willing to the pay for any damages that happened in the fall.
She stood trying to gather herself and her things, standing in in the busy street. As the mental shouting filtered into her head, she looked taken aback. “What?” She stared at the person in front of her before shaking her head sadly. “I’m sorry...” she dared to look up at the person. “I don’t have any drugs...” Biting her lip she looked down. “I have some cookies though, would those work instead?” She could only hope to appease the person she had so greatly offended. Reaching into her bad she tilted her head and pulled out some of her famous gooey goodness chocolate chip cookies. Kelri offered the bag over to the person. “I really am sorry for bumping into you... truce?”

"My Guiding Moonlight" Huh? Cookies? Miki steadily looked down, glaring into the golden brown, crispy cookies the woman offered him. For a second, he thought she was joking with him and was completely floored. Stymied and confused by the response that in his mind had come out of the blue and his own witlessness caused by a lack of his usual dosage. Miki wasn't sure exactly how he wanted to respond to having cookies offered to him instead of his regular dose of uppers, until his body decided that answer for him. They smelled good, he had to admit that. He'd had some Magi variations on cookies, but not actually ever bought the kinds that humans sold. His stomach growled and rumbled in the loudest manner possible at that exact moment, making it audible even for the young woman to hear quite clearly. At that moment, the face of the Magi turned scarlet and his arms started to indeed feel like they were weighing a bit more than a second ago. He had really poured his magic recklessly into telepathy and the effort of the past few minutes probably drained the last bit of energy from his system. He stared down at the cookies and decided that the drugs could wait. He ripped the cookies out of her hands and began to shovel as much of them into his mouth as he could until his blushing cheeks resembled a chipmunk. "Truce!" he tearfully yelped back at her while munching on the crispy morsels without a hint of remorse or shame. He continued eating gluttonously, swallowing down the cookies and licking the last bit of melted, gooey remnants off his fingers and then holding himself up... feeling a bit let down, "Is there anymore!?" he asked in a bit of a raspy tone of voice.

Wincing, Kel held out the cookies to the man. Wow she must have hurt this kid if he was yelling at her. She really didn’t mean to, honest. The young woman was a bit apprehensive about the entire encounter, but she wasn’t going to say anything. It was obviously her fault that this had happened in the first place, so it was obvious she would take responsibility. Especially if he needed her to. Besides. Who could refuse cookies?
Kelri’s apprehension turned into a grin as she heard the man’s stomach rumble. Obviously he totally wanted cookies instead of drugs. Especially with a stomach grumble like that. He just didn’t know it yet. Kelri would soon cure the man of his addiction by getting him addicted to cookies instead. Yup! Offering a full out smile to the young man Kelri waited for him to take the cookies. If his stomach wanted them, it was only a matter of time until his brain would accept it as well. Her cookies could save anyone. Sweet Nothings was something magical all in itself, and Kelri firmly believed in the power of the sugary sweet goodness that she could make.
Kelri smile only grew as the man took the cookies out of her hands and began devouring them. Good. It meant he liked them. That of course, meant that he didn’t want any drugs from her. This was a good scenario because to be honest, she had no idea where to get them, or even what sort of drugs this person was referring too. Kelri was oblivious to that sort of thing. Other than booze, she didn’t really do ‘drugs’. In all honesty Kelri had no clue about that culture. What she did know, however, was how adorable this guy looked with his cheeks stuffed full of cookies. A bit like a squirrel?
Nodding as the man accepted her truce, and began to eat the cookies, Kel couldn’t help but smile more. Smiling she tilted her head and reached around in her bag. “I’ve got all sorts. What would you like?” Yes, kelri brought a variety of sweets with her wherever she went. It was important to always be prepared in emergency snackage situations. She figured this qualified as such. “I also have some water here, would you like that as well?” Kel fished out the water bottle and offered it to the man. “Shall we go sit on that bench? You can be my taste tester and tell me if my products are good or not.” She winked towards the man and pointed towards the bench that was nearby. “What is your name good sir?”

"My Guiding Moonlight" Miki's heart fluttered just as his hunger subsided and his druglust was quieted for the moment with a humble grumble. Accepting the water, the parched Magi sipped deeply just as he swallowed the last bit of cookie. It was heaven, absolute heaven, given how unlikely it was for someone to show him this level of kindness after having been screamed at. Which would make her.... an angel of Arithelia maybe? No, she was human, though he was in no mood to complain while hungry. The cookies hit the spot and refusing her offer after munching down so much would've been impolite so he couldn't possibly refuse to return the favor. "I'm Miki... It's a pleasure to meet you. And... I'd be very happy to..." He bowed graciously and followed after the strange woman as she led him with a subtle, beguiling wink of her eye. For the moment, his thoughts of withdrawal and getting his fix of Uppers took backseat and they walked together over to the well-painted orange bench that happened to be nearby. Wiping away some of the remnants of crumbled cookies from his cheeks, he found a few leftover crumbs that were stuck by his chin and eagerly ate those too. His stomach still grumbled a bit from hunger and he was eager to eat more, though his first instinct to be polite was not to completely look like a begging puppy out of consideration. She was being extraordinarily kind to him, a fact that left him a little bit flabbergasted and perhaps a bit mentally guarded. What would she ask for in return? Was he going to be a guinea pig for her 'products'? Not that he had a problem with that; humans were enigmas to him when he was incapable of thinking straight. If he had maybe been in a better state of mind, he would've maybe talked and struck up a conversation. Or remained silent. That would've worked too as he was still hopelessly distracted. He chewed over his tongue, tasting the remnants of chocolate and crumbly, baked dough. He truly didn't know what exactly to compare it to, though mused over the sweetness of it. He maybe looked a little strange at the moment, sitting on the bench with a human girl who seemed inordinately friendly. Some Magi would've deigned to run and hide away in case they were being baited for the bad hunters. His heart, still in the throes of his withdrawal symptoms, was anxious and didn't feel too much like his usual self. There was fidgeting and he could hardly keep completely still to speak . His cleft right hand reached up and stroked his own chin in absent thought, "S-So, Kelry if you don't mind me asking, you sell what you gave me earlier? How do you make them?" Miki asked curiously while trying his best to not look so out-of-place. "And pardon me again, but may I ask how much do each of them cost?"

Sweet talkin' lady, love how you entice. Sugar, with just the right amount of spice
| ◀ | [attr="class","PrettyInPink"]
Kelri smiled softly when she saw the man’s eyes soften with the acceptance of the food She watched cautiously as the man scavenged at the cookies she had offered. It was an odd sort of thing wasn’t it. Hunger? Hunger could be described for multiple things, and it was a desire first and foremost. Kelri was glad her cookies could become a substitute for what the man was actually craving.
Kelri waited politely for the cookies to be eaten and then waited for the response that would follow. She smiled as he ate, oh how did she love to see her cookies eaten and enjoyed. It genuinely made her happy that someone was enjoying them to this extent. When the stranger gave his name Kelri smiled. "It is very nice to meet you Miki.” She guided him over to the bench and sat daintily on the edge. “Thank you for agreeing to try some of my creations.” She offered another smile to the man before fiddling around her bag to pull out the triple chocolate brownies she had made.
Hopefully sugar would keep the drug lust at bay for this man. She had to stifle a giggle as he picked off the crumbs from his face. He really was acting like a small cute adorable animal. She wanted to keep it at a small and cute moment instead of an animal with rabies moment. The latter was not an option for her and she knew that this was not going to happen if she was on the case. She offered over the brownies with a head tilt after he had finished the cookies. “Here you can have these, they are wonderful, or at least I think so.” She smirked over at the man. “You will have to let me know if they aren’t good.”
That’s right, she had better keep him on a sweet high, rather than a drug high. That was the plan, and she intended to stick to it. The baker watched as the man seemed to be savoring her goods and nodded a soft smile. This was why she baked. She baked to see the look on someone’s face when they needed it. That was most important and she was more than willing to do so, continue baking in order to make people happy.
Kelri watched as the man fidgeted, obviously contemplating what to say next. She folded her left leg under her right, and sat with her hands clasped in her lap. The baker was willing to wait for the man to start the conversation, and she was kind of patient. Okay not really, there was a difference between patience waiting for something to cook, and patience waiting to be addressed. She had never been good with the later. “I follow a recipe, a set of instructions in order to make them.” Kelri thought about it a little. “It is definitely a process.” She grinned before looking at Miki. “What is your reason for asking?” If he wanted to be taught, Kelri would have no problems with that.
She gave a soft smile as Miki asked how much they normally cost. “Well, I normally sell a cookie individually for a dollar.” She looked the man up and down again before shaking her head. “However, these were for my personal consumption and were never meant to be sold, so please consider them a gift from me to you.”
Kelri would not accept any money from this stranger, after all, she was the one who had offended him in the first place.
