After waking and doing the routine of physically and mentally preparing for the day such as Alistair's morning jog around the perimeter of the temple. Followed by routinely picking up whatever flowers he could as he made his circle. A few of the daily cleaning that comes from being so close to the forest. Routine was always a good means of keeping the body and mind sharp. With the addition of living within the temple he could refine his spirit as well. The Goddess loved the beauty of the forest. Whenever he felt especially proud of a certain set of flowers he would ask a fellow monk, who had the gift of an earth magi, to help him plant the flowers in their personal garden.
Finished with his jog, Alistair began his routinely cleaning of Ari's alter. A smile laid on his face every time he had the chance to clean the alter. The beauty of the landscape as well as the aura one could feel within the air was soothing to the core. Beauty that is ignored by those that don't understand the love of the goddess. "Oh well... They'll have to learn in time... One way or another." he said with a sigh. As a few memories fade in and out of the camps...
Once he had finished the cleaning he made his run to the front of the temple. Bottling a puddle of dirty water before running up the steps to begin his prayer. Placing the dirty water at the alter he prayed in silence. Opening his eyes once more to place one finger into the water to purify it completely. Placing flowers into the water with a faint smile. "Well... I suppose its time to wait for the morning visitors." Alistair said as he walked out to greet the incoming morning travelers.

Ii was by chance that Ro' had heard of the Grand Temple here in the outer lands, a half days walk form Dagos proper. His feet had gotten used to walking long distances some time ago, and he had learned how to dodge hunters during his escape from his Island home, and during the border crossing with his grandfather. Now he was in one of the few untouched stretches of land in this part of the country, ascending the steps to the Arithelia's Grand Temple. His grandfather had made a pilgrimage here when very young, before the rampant racism and bigotry had divided the world, and persecuted the Magi.
What took him off guard, was that there were a number of other Magi, already here, and walking up the steps to the Temple's central structure, the open build of the entrance, allowed him to see the carved statures of Arithelia, and the stunning carved wooden panels. it was as if the old temple from home had been made much larger, and lined with impressive stonework. Something his hometown of Bai'Sai Lo in Ikigai did little of. Yet the Magi gathered here, in the out of the way place, to worship freely, unlike back in Dagos, where they only visited randomly, and almost never in groups. But maybe this journey of his would change it?
Entering the simple outer court, he saw a slender white haired male, young looking, yet with elder yellow eyes, not unlike Dax's own golden orbs. Nodding slightly, he then clasped his hands together over his heart, in greeting, his eyes darting to the main court, the wooden pews and the large Dias impressive, clean, yet weathered and aged to perfection. Seeing that he was the first Fire Magi, and that the Fire pots had yet to be lit, he looked to the apparent attendant, (or was he actually a Monk? he did not wear the garb of one, but in this strange land who did?) and spoke softly; "Good day sir, may I have the honor of lighting the lamps?"

Seeing that a newcomer came to ask him the to lit the candles of the alter Alistair simply nodded and said. "I don't see why not. Welcome to the temple, since you're new here you can refer to me for any information." He greeted with a good smile. After that Alistair kept an eye on this young man, but made sure to greet every sing person to visit the temple. Any human that arrived were known quite well by the people of haven, usually having family or friends that were magi. Pilgrimages were just as dangerous for the humans as it were for the magi. While the desired result was to arrive in the safety of haven, many magi and humans that traveled the distance faced the many threats of the wild as well as the hunters. Making sure to greet everyone eagerly as a few other monks went off into the forest to ensure the safety of other travelers.
With the last of the greetings done with he approached the young man. "Hello there young man, I have yet to recognize your face among the crowd. Most people here are from Haven. I suppose you're from the city then?" He began to inquire him. Trying to see if he were a magi from Dagos or Felici. Not all magi were kind, but the ones to take the journey here had some trouble they wished to rejuvenate from. "It's just that most people that come here that aren't from haven have something weighing down their heart." He offered him a sympathetic smile.

o' bowed slightly, then produced a lighter, which sparked a small flame. taking the flame into his hand, he then grew it into a ribbon of light that touched each of the candles in turn, adding to the illumination of the Temple. Being careful to use all of it, and leave nothing to fall away from his control, Dax then bowed once more to the attendant, before taking a seat and meditating for a time. At the query and comment, Ro' gave a small smile, before he nodded once; "I came all the way from Dagos. I've adopted the Temple there as my own I guess you could say." he answered as he looked around at the lovely cast of light on the carved wood and paintings of the Haven Temple; a sigh escaping his lips; "But it is in poor repair, the Magi if Dagos are... Repressed, subtly so. They have their freedom, yet do nothing with it." he shook his head slightly, then returned his gaze to the other magi; "I am Ro' Yang Xiao Dax, it is pleasant to meet you." he extended his hand in formal greeting, a small smile on his face. made by ira of stf and ww

It was quite interesting indeed to see and watch the many magi that would incorporate their abilities into their prayer. A subtle smile moved across his face as the newcomer had spoken about maintaining the temple in Dagos. Heavens! Last time Alistair could recall visiting the temple it was in a rather sorry condition. "It's been some time since I've visited the temple in Dagos... Although I've been renewed with vigor upon visiting the temple in Felici. Have you been able to maintain the old temple so far?" Alistair inquired wondering if it would be right to ask if he needed any assistance.
"Nice to meet you fellow preacher, I'm Alistair Grey. A water magi and monk to this temple. Although my appearance speaks differently... Most that I encounter while traveling between here and the cities find it more comforting without much of the propped dressings of a monk strangely enough." he chuckled as he pulls up his sleeves or reveal some of his scars. "Most of the clothing they have here doesn't do well to hide my scales and fins comfortably... Say what you will but knowing when to hide cerain aspects of yourself has been a key to my survival for quite some time." he spoke with a smile he often wore.

o' shook his head once; "Sadly, I have almost nothing in the way of funds, and little support otherwise, given how public the Temples are in Dagos." he shifted slightly, a mildly discomforted look on his scared face as he gazed at his feet for a moment then replied; "I'm not old enough to be a 'preacher' and I'm not a monk, I'm just a devotee of Arithelia from a foreign land trying to make a new life here."Ro' did not forget what his grandfather had told him, of both the dangers, and the opportunities this country could provide, even to a Magi, (at least one like Ro' who could hid his traits well enough) if one was cunning, and worked hard for it. "But the biggest challenge is that so few other Magi or even humans are willing to come to the Temple in Dagos..." he shook his head once more, unsure of how to explain what he truly needed, without sounding needing, or as if he could only complain. made by ira of stf and ww

Hearing the young man's struggle with the temple of dagos had pained Alistair's heart. While it was obvious that Dagos was rather difficult of places to gather a group of people. He had not been made aware of the active magi who would still work on the temple. "Well maybe I can offer my help sometime. I make a point to travel to dagos every so often, despite the danger to myself." Alistair said hoping that maybe he could encourage Dax a bit in his endeavors. "Right now I'm actually gathering up several volunteers that would want to assist on my travel to and from dagos. Maybe we'll be able to help with the temple. I know some are coming for work or their own reasons, but I'm sure they'll gladly lend a helping hand." He said trying to reassure him.
As he mentioned the lack of human and Magi visitors. The monk pondered several ideas in which he could be of assistance. While it was prudent to gather the faith within dagos, the area was filled with many dangerous individuals. Both humans and magi were among this group. During his working time with the information broker he found it that many people often would many things to gain an advantage on another individual. "Come walk with me..." He said as he decided to show him the other parts of the temple.
As he lead dax along the perimeter to show him the temple Alistair asked the young man. "Do you know what it took to build all of this, Time." He simply answered as they started to reach the garden. "I'm sure the fruits of your labor are soon to come, but don't lose hope... after all you may be providing a light that many need in dagos. And besides... I'll be visiting to help soon."

odding slowly, Ro' looked around at the Temple as the other Magi spoke, their walk ending back at the main entrance to the temple. looking the other Magi squarely in the eye, Ro' smiled softly and replied; "Alister, thank you for your kind words, and the hope they carry. I will be in Haven for the next few days, trying to raise funds. If I can help here in the Temple in any way, I would be honored to return the kindness."Glancing out into the forest, Ro' could only take everything in and draw strength from it as best as he could. The Temple in the woods outside of Haven was almost as old as the one in Dagos, but it had never suffered the neglect he was now fighting to undo. But Alister was right in his suggestion of being a light in the darkness; Elijah was one, who while blind, had been drawn to the Temple as a refuge of sorts. Even if the old Magi was not terribly religious, there had been good done for both the aged Earthbender and for himself, if Ro' was perfectly honest. Turning his gaze back to the other Magi, Ro' grasped his fist in his hand and bowed lightly at the waist in respectful salute; "As I said, if I can contribute in any way I will be glad to do so; 'A generous heart begets a helpful hand' as my grandfather would have said. But please I have already taken up so much time of yours."made by ira of stf and ww
