"I see." Little Ari would say as the concept was allowed to sink in. "I am a fan of this 'clearance' tradition." Gazing out into the large department store from her high up perch she wondered if all mortals took as much advantage of this Clearance as she was now planning to from now on. The concept in the very least was positive and logical. For indeed, why would you pay more money for an almost identical product as a far less expensive version? It seemed silly to her.
The journey to the show department was not a lengthy one. "Alright." Ari responded. If Jason said there was a first step to adhere to, she was going to believe him. The whole shopping experience was an entirely new one to her. The terminology was foreign, as were the customs. So Ari would quietly obey any suggestions her loyal made. Wide observant iridescent eyes watched on as Jason took off her shoe and placed her foot upon some strangely marked device.
"That's good." Ari would agree, not quite catching that the earth magi was making a joke. "Over there?" The child would ask as she stood up and began walking in the said direction. Her pinky toe wiggled in thought, minorly peeking out of her worn socks, as she took in the shelves of product. "Something that would keep out rain and snow ...." Once again most of the designs were flashy, a few pairs literally. The moment a pair's soles began blinking brightly colored lights at her, Ari promptly pushed them back up to their original box. No way in hell was that type of shoe going to cut it when fleeing hunters and the Huntress Herself.
After a few minutes Ari would return to the bench with a pair of vibrantly pink colored tennis shoes with rainbows shooting across the sides. "These are leather unlike the other cloth pairs up there. So I think these might be closest to what you said would work. After hopping up onto the bench beside the tall hulk of a man, Ari would begin the process of plucking out paper bundle after paper bundle. As was probably assumed, Ari would inquire their purpose before finally slipping her tiny foot inside and tying the sparkly laces. ".... Oh my." Ari would comically say as she stared down to her foot. After some toe wiggling the little girl would look up with a wide eyed stare of surprise. ".... I like them. Alot. They're .... they're cushy." After a minor celebration of their find Ari would blink upwards. "What about you? Do you need cushy shoes?"
