The smell of machinery and oil filled the small garage, strong enough to pierce the sense of smell and touch. Not many of the customers were ever used to the the smell, but Rynth grew with this as she pursued her career as an engineer. The magi took a deep breath of the air surrounding her... it sparked her mind awake from her groggy morning as her staff would call her attention. "Hey boss! We're having a bit of trouble here." They called out to her for assistance. Many that worked beneath hear already knew of her magi heritage, which made it easier to use her abilities to benefit the work environment. "What is it Samuel?" She asked as she jumped down into the pit to investigate the vehicle. While he explained she took brief glances around her... this place was a bit of a all in one mechanics shop. They worked on vehicles, cyborgs, and even some computers if the individuals had brought them to her.
With a masters in engineering it she proved herself quite capable melding reality with the images of her illusions to get a better idea of what the end result should look like. Once Samuel had finished explaining to her the issue her mind began taking apart the machine right in front of her. As both Rynth and her staff could see the image of the engine hovering above in the air coming apart to finally spot the missing piece to their problem. "Any other things I can assist you with Samuel." He hurriedly replied no. She made the job easier on all of them... they all had experiences such troubles as taking apart a whole mechanism in order to find the issue. However her ability helped to save on time for both the customers and her staff. Returning to her desk within the open garage she is confronted by an pile of paperwork
A sigh escapes her lips as she already knew that this was her role as the manager of the work shop. Reaching out to begin the filing to stop herself... "Right... I should wash up." Rynth didnt want a repeat of last week... Cleaning the grease and oil from herself to return to the paperwork. Hopefully this would go by faster than she thought it would.

[attr="class","lilyric"]All I See [attr="class","lilyric3"]Are Kings and Thieves [attr="class","lilyric2"] When all I own is just Dust and Gold [attr="class","litags"]// 277 // [attr="class","litags"]// notes // [attr="class","licred"]// made by NOVA // | [attr="class","libody"]Samuel had originally started the day with a cup of coffee, but that hadn't turned out like he'd wanted. Instead of a nice cup of coffee, he'd kept missing the mug handle. He'd thought he was drunk for a second. That was a result of being sleepy and needing his coffee of course. He'd tried with the other hand, and it had worked perfectly.
Once he had finished that coffee and his brain was functioning, he'd realized that the bionic that went up to his shoulder socket was malfunctioning. Just enough to be vexing. Just enough to need a tune-up. When he'd looked up the guy who'd done it last time, he discovered that the garage had shut down. That revelation had been very disappointing, as the guy had decent prices considering what he did. Samuel had just sighed and brought out the reviews on his phone. He'd found a place that the reviews said the prices were decent and the workmanship was the same. Good enough for him.
He pulled up in front of the garage on his motorcycle. Not his police transportation, as he had no idea who he'd scare off with that. The door was open so he just walked in and looked around. Was there a bell or something to ring in here for service? That's when he heard water running andwalked towards the sound.
"Hello? I'm looking to get something fixed is there someone here who could help me with that?" Hopefully the answer was yes, or this garage wouldn't be worth much. It was supposed to be cyborg bionic repair, so hopefully they could tune up the way his was functioning.

After finally washing her face to hear a voice call to her from the restroom she gives a loud sigh. Figuring it was one of her employees asking for assistance or something. Rynth walks out without her illusive human guise to conceal herself. "Hold on hold on. I'm coming..." she called out as she walked out before realizing who her guest was. Upon seeing him she froze in her tracks as if she were a deer caught in front of bright headlights of a car. Her yellow eyes and scaled cover neck and forearms visible for him to see until she has her illusion hide away the features. Try to remain calm... Maybe he didn't notice. "So uh... What can I do for you today?" she asked with a strange awkward pitch to her voice. As she attempted to remain calm despite the increasing heart rate. Taking the time to know who she was dealing with as her mind was racing with worst case scenarios. To take notice of his more human features with the exception of his cybernetic arm... Quite likely a bionic. Having her illusion stay still as she made herself invisible to him. She began circling him to get a proper examination. While he was distracted with her false image. She would be able to get a better grasp of whether or not he was a threat... And if he was just a customer, in that case it would be to see what kind of work needed to be done. From what she could tell so far he didn't have any visible firearms on him... And it would pretty crazy to attack someone in broad daylight. Taking a step back she grabs some papers from her messy desk and hands then to the customer with a pen. "Alright since you're new here just fill out what you need to get done as well as what details you can provide of your previous fix up you've had with your cybernetics... Once you're done I'll see who's available to work with you." she said with a polite tone. More so than she would use with anyone that wasn't a customer. Samuel

The person walked out and he could immediately tell he was facing a magi. A...very surprised magi. He saw them disappear and he smirked. Then the magi put paperwork before him and he chuckled, crossing his arms. Or at least he would've crossed his arms, but his arm malfunctioned doing the motion and just kind of...hung there next to one of his katanas.
"Blast. Yeah see that's what I'm here for. I could honestly care less whether you're a magi or not, so long as you can fix my bionic arm. It goes up to my shoulder socket." He sighed, glaring at the arm. Then Samuel cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Could I perhaps fill the paperwork out afterwards? This is my writing hand..." With his working hand he gestured at the bionic one.
"Name's Samuel Ainsworth. I thought I'd try this place 'cause the last place that fixed my arm shut down. I...just came here for an adjustment but it seems I may need substantially more than that." He closed his eyes, sighed again, and then tried REEEEEAAALLLY REALLY hard to lift his arm. His hand twitched upwards.
"Ha! It isn't a lost cause after all!" In his trying to figure that out, he'd sort of forgotten the other person in the room.
"Oh right. And I won't tell anyone about the scales and stuff, especially if you help me out here."

Upon hearing his reassurance she releases her will on the illusion revealing her new position on examining his arm. Despite the weapon he had it seemed he primarily wielded the blade with his bionic arm. So as for the moment it seemed as though he wouldn't harm her. "You're whole arm is malfunctioning..." She said with a inquisitive voice. That sort of outcome was rather strange with today's technology, but it might be because the customer doesn't actually maintain proper care for his arm. It's normally something most people would leave to the mechanics, but proper care can go a long way and make visits to her shop less frequent. Realizing his bionic hand was also his writing hand, Rynth was quick to apologize to him. "Well this is just my surface analysis Samuel, but it seems like you either haven't visited a mechanic in a long time or you've put too much strain on your arm... Normally an 'adjustment' is when you've had any lagging responses from your bionic arm, but to lose control of it might be some bigger issue that could very well cost a lot." She said with a worried look. "Well either way you'll have to step into my workshop to see what's wrong." Leading him away from her office to her work shop she directs him to sit on a reclined seat as she got a rolling tray fool of her tools. The chair had a lot of latches on it. They were normally there to aid in restraining erratic movement from cybernetic limbs or the patients. "We'll begin when you're ready... Wouldn't want you to feel weird when we detach your arm." Oh. This magi was using illusions. He arched an eyebrow at the ease with which they used their abilities. Was it really as simple as telling them he didn't mean any harm? This person sort of intrigued him with the ease with which they accepted he wasn't there to arm-ahem, he totally meant harm them. But that did bring up the excellent point that perhaps the reason they were at ease was because of his arms was out of commission. Maybe they hadn't seen he carried two swords to duel wield? The mechanic spoke about how his whole arm was malfunctioning and he sighed.
"Yes I can kind of see that the whole arm is malfunctioning thank you." They basically gave him a talk about wear on the arm and he shrugged...one of his arms anyway.
"I did take regular trips to a mechanic, but my last mechanic closed shop so it took a while to find another within my price range. And I suppose it can get worn at times. Although my work now isn't as strenuous as it will be when my superior lets me take actual cases instead of cold ones." He gave a lopsided smile at the mechanic.
"Also to be fair, it didn't completely malfunction until I stepped in here. I think it's a law of the universe that something will break in front of the person it matters around. Until I came in here, it was just malfunctioning to the point where picking up my coffee cup took a few tries."

Rynth took the time to examine further before leading him to a chair. Motioning for him to take a seat before she could continue. Once her guest was as comfortable as could be, Rynth would slip on some echo gloves. A quite handy tool for most mechanics to have when they want to see the inner workings of a machine. "I'm sure you've seen some of these before. You may feel a strange tingling sensation, but that will just be your arm vibrating as I get a quick scan of it." Once the scan was complete she would have time to look into and compare what the model arm should look like to what her customer's condition was. Thinking back a bit to his earlier comment she chuckled a little. It might have seemed out of no where until she explained herself to him. "Sorry was just thinking on what you said earlier. Fate seemingly deemed that your arm should break in my presence. To be fair, I'm pretty sure this is best situation for it to break in. I mean instead of it breaking on the job, right?" Rynth spoke trying to ease him into feeling more relaxed. Despite his weapons and his new found knowledge of her magi traits she felt comfortable enough now to attempt more small talk. As she scanned his arm she had to slide her hand slowly from his palms up to his forearm and slowly began reaching the bicep. "So you said something about cases earlier, are you a detective or just plain ol P.D.?" Rynth did feel a bit curious as to what work her new customer involved himself in. A profession can speak volumes about a person, especially in her own case. As she began working her hands up to the bicep and would soon reach the shoulder. Advance synthskin was pretty high quality and spoke a bit about the man's income or professional bonuses. Despite the advancement, Rynth's experience allowed her to discern which skins were false and which were real. That isn't to say that the skin she felt didn't look real. Sight alone would not allow her to confirm between the real and fake skins. It was only until she reached his shoulder that she pulled away. "Gotta say that Synth skin quality can be a bit tricky with a few of my female customers. They normally allow the engineers they trust to lay a single finger on them... now once the computer is done rendering the scan we can get a good look at the innards of your arm." She said with a smile as she waited for the computer to finalize the scan. It didn't take that long before it was finished and from there she could see the problem quite easily. It seemed that problem was within the socket. Where the arm would receive signals to move from the operator. Looking back to Samuel she focuses her illusion to give him very detailed image of his arm. In a manner that would easily be described as holographic. Pointing to the upper arm/shoulder to say "That's where the problem is. It's a simple fix, but the part to replace it isn't all that cheap... however since it is your first visit I suppose you can have this one on the house." She slides away in her rolling chair to grab the piece he'll need. Making sure to box it before going back to hand him the box. "Now we can continue this two ways... The part needed to be replaced resides within your arm, but you can 1. Take this part and replace the piece yourself or 2. Pay me to remove and install this little thing in there. Now if you're worried about the first option, let me just say that it seems more complex than it really is and I'll guide you through it if you want me to when you get home. Or you can simply hire me if you're not feeling up to the task. At least that way you can see how it's done so you would only ever need to purchase the parts your need to fix it." She offered her advice to him despite how much money she would lose if he decided to do the fixes himself from here on. Samuel

[attr="class","notafraid"] [attr="class","naimg"] [attr="class","naimgborder"] [attr="class","nalyrics"]Just feel the energy Just know who the ENEMY is [attr="class","nabody"]Samuel saw the tool. It was a familiar sight as he'd seen it before in other mechanic shops. He nodded at the explanation silently, and then felt his arm vibrate with the scan. He heard the mechanic talk about how it was better it broke now than on the job. "I suppose that's true. It would be unfortunate if a criminal escaped because my arm decided to malfunction right then." It really was true. There was no telling what would happen if one of the criminals he liked to arrest escaped. Most of them were terrible racists who sought the death of magi. Samuel heard the question about what he did as a cop and he shrugged. "Honestly, I'm fairly new. I haven't exactly done anything quite yet, but I'm supposed to be sort of a detective. At the moment I do everything from taking crime reports to investigating though. Part of being a newbie in the force I guess." He smiled slightly. He heard the comment about the advanced synthskin. "It does the job. My family is fairly high profile so they weren't too keen on their son being a visible cyborg. They aren't prejudiced or anything really. But so many others are, and it would lead to a decrease in business for our family. Even if I am just the second born son." Heaven forbid his older brother Elliot be the one with the cyborg limb. Samuel didn't feel any malice towards any of his family for the things that had been said though. They were all valid points in his view. "I normally had a regular mechanic but they shut their doors a while ago. I was in a bit of a pinch until I discovered your place. Hard to find a place with reasonable prices." Just because he had the money for more expensive places didn't mean he didn't try to find a better deal. He watched as the mechanic pointed to where the problem was and explained. Samuel nodded. So he could fix it himself too. "If you don't mind I'd like to do it myself. I like to try to learn as much as I can about my own arm. That way if I get stuck there's a bigger chance that I'll be able to rig something up so it lasts." He liked to do maintenance on the limb himself whenever it was possible. "That said, I know you lose money if I choose that way. The fact that you're willing to give the option warrants me giving you a tip." Samuel smiled rather kindly. "You're cooperative and not just out to make a buck and I appreciate that kind of attitude. My family values it too, and they used to reward that sort of attitude. I try to pass it on whenever possible."
